Not there yet, but the roundtable seemed to think that the legalization of marijuana is coming. John Podesta even suggested (in jest?) taxing marijuana could be a way to pay for health care. The times they are a-changin’.

Dumbass!!! There is just as much a chance that a Dr could be drunk as that is legal. And if a Dr smokes, do you really feel that he is morally going to go to work to perform an operation? I mean come on. I have never not been able to get weed because it’s illegal. In other words , if it were made legal, morals don’t just go flying out the window. Making it legal takes the profit out of the hands of the corrupt leaders at the top that are and have been profiting and gives it to the government as a whole or perhaps just different corrupt people. There’s too much money to be had by keeping it illegal. In fact, when a raid is performed on someone and they era found to have drugs and cash and all of their stuff is seized, the seized stuff is sold at auction and the cash is absorbed and the profits from the auction go where???? Thats right…….to the police department that made the arrests and seizure. So you see there is an incentive for the police. The police cheifs get larger pensions. Then there is the issue of where the drugs that are seized go…… I know the police hold the drugs for the court case as evidence but where do they all go after that? My guess is that some are disposed of for PR and the rest are moved on up the ladder and then resold or somehow reinjected back into society to start the whole thing all over again. WEED IS NOT THE PROBLEM IN THE WORLD AND NEVER WAS!!!

Who said anything about it then being assumed that smoking up at anytime would be acceptable. What most are saying is that with how intentionally lop-sided the view on various drugs that it should at the least be treated as alcohol: regulated, taxed, controlled sales/distribution, and societal norms. Whether any drug is legal or not, there will always be a market for it. With legalization, the question arises, do we want to allow a corrupted government/black market to have control of it, or do we want to legalize it and put the tax profits to public use.
As alcohol prohibition taught us, we only create monsters by condemning a substance as “illegal”.
We only demonize something by censoring or legally condemning it… a problem is manifested only because the establishment SAYS it is a problem.

Don’t buy it, bad deal. Its imported as a rifle that only accepts a single stack 10 round magazine, but they supply you with two 30 round magazines. Those double stack 30 round magazines will NOT work with that gun. This ad is misleading or the rifle has been altered to accept the larger mags.

the stamped receiver on those are kinda flimsy but better than throwing rocks and the good thing about an ak is everytime you pull the trigger it fires! arsenal arms makes a good ak for around $800. if you can find one with a milled reciever you are in good shape but any ak will fire even with mud in it! as you see from my name i prefer the yugoslavian m70 underfolder

This one is a single stack magazine, I personally don’t like it. Seems a little bit overpriced. The ones made by Norinco in China, and Russian rifles are the best. The best magazines are metal 30 rd. ones from Germany. Try gunbroker.com for comparison shopping.

Here in colorado we are very active people. we enjoy the outdoors and most people seem stoned. the news here talks about how easy it is to get a dr note to use it. people who dont wont and people who do stop going to jail for it. its not a cure all but break your neck and see if it helps. it did for me. in this economy they want drug test to get a min wage job. cultivating is a big dollar business in colorado. no drug test needed!

I think weed should be legalized to take out the crime factor. I think the government should encourage employers to drug test. I believe anyone receiving any income from the government should have to be tested and found guilty surrender that income. That would help alot for those on welfare or unemployment that sit back and get high on tax dollars.

i don’t think weed (a drug less harmful than alchohol and comes from a plant that can replace petroleum) will be legalized until we elect some real people in washington instead of corporate drones paid by big pharmas, oil companies and other entities that create toxic sh*t. just imagine if hemp was put into use, we can have a free market, a clean environment (take that carbon taxers) and energy independance. hemp makes the best ethanol, and makes much better paper than wood. 4 acres of hemp can make as much paper as 20 acres of trees, only takes a season to grow and can grow in most climates. it also makes non-toxic paints and plastics. no wonder the rockefellers and duponts outlawed it. anyone who thinks it was outlawed for the “greater good” (and that comes from both the “right” and “left”) needs a good knock in the head so they can wake-up.

ethanol is not a clean alternative unless it is produced correctly, which is almost impossible, and very expensive. The current ethanol production methods spew not just co2 but also high levels
of carcinogens and other pollutants into the air. I don’t buy the global warming co2 propaganda, but most fuels pollute the atmosphere with a ton of other shit. And, by the way, burning ethanol in an engine produces co2. Burning natural gas produces co2. Hell, smoking a joint produces co2 also.

Well said truthseeker. My old scoutmaster used to smoke whenever we went camping. It is because of that guy that I can be self-suffient no matter where I am. I think that maybe it’s the kind of smokers you know that help you form your opinon Kristi. Most of my circle that smoke hold down 2 jobs and we even enjoy some when we are on the range. I’d be more for legalizing the cultivation of your own, but it still remaining illegal to sell commercially, other than seeds, sale of “ingestion apparatuses,” or growing equipment. But, then again… that would benefit the people too much and leave those poor poor corporations in a lurch, so I doubt our Glorious Leaders will go for that.
Most likely, they’ll just legalize and then force everyone to take GMO varieties without any medical benefit, so people will still be relying on the big pharma “solutions” for their “problems”.

The reason weed is probably more potent today is because the shit you’re smoking most likely came from a UN-pollinated female sativa or Indica plant or should I say Sensimillia meaning (without seed) and if that’s the case of course it’s going to be more potent. Because an UN-pollinated female plant puts all her energy towards resin production whereas a pollinated plant puts all of her energy towards seed production. In the sixties 90 % of weed was probably seeded which lowers the THC content.

I don’t intend to insult you, but allow me to share my story. I used to believe that pot was “bad” and made you stupid. I honestly could say I had never smoked weed in my life……….
……..until I was 28 (I am 33 now). I suffer from chronic migraines, arthritus, a genetic hip defect, and a slipped disc in my back from a car accident. I am in constant severe pain from multiple parts of my body, daily.
When I was 28, one day I was at my (then) boyfriend’s house, and i had a migraine without my prescription medicine. I was alternating between vomiting and crying, begging God to make the pain go away. Frantic to help me, my boyfriend loaded a bowl and said “hit this. it will help” I was desperate. I took the first hit of my life. Guess what……………IT FREAKING WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust and believe my entire opinin changed. I am a medical patient now, and it helps make the pain bearable.
Do I go to work high? NEVER. Am I a “stupid pothead”? By no means. What kind of job could I possibly have? Taco Bell? No. I am a behavioral instructor for children with autism. I help pull them out of thier own heads and learn how to take care of themselves, and function in this world to be able to live independant lives.
This article is referring to making it legal, nationally that is (already legal in 14 states), for people like me. And yes, allowing the government to make a profit from the sales, which is no different than the cigarette taxes we already have.
For you to assume that MEDICAL PATIENTS are all “stupid lazy potheads” simply based on those smokers that you know is very egocentric and offensive.

I know quite a few people who are life long pot smokers and to say they are mentally impaired is being kind.
The pot of today is much stronger than what people were smoking back in the 60s, it can alter you mind…forever!
Of course, its like everything else, just like alcohol, done in moderation it is fine. There are people out there who are addicted to pot, the same way others are addicted to alcohol and other drugs. If that person was not a pothead, they would be addicted to some other substance.
I think it is a great idea to make it legal and to tax it! It would easily pay for the health care program.
