Political Corruption ‘Major Factor’ in Financial Crisis

Though not an issue in the 2008 campaign as it was in 2006, a significant majority of Americans think political corruption is a problem in Washington, D.C., according to a recent poll, and they point to it as major cause of the financial crisis.

The Zogby International poll of 1,211 likely voters, commissioned by the conservative public interest group Judicial Watch, showed that 81.7 percent of Americans agree that political corruption played a “major role” in our nation’s financial crisis.
Further, 86.4 percent said they think congressional corruption has increased or remained the same since Democrats took control of Congress in 2006. The corruption issue helped Democrats in that election.
But while most of those polled think corruption has not changed in Washington, they also think that neither presidential candidate is a clear leader to clean up the problems there.
The poll, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percent, showed that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama had a slight advantage over his Republican rival John McCain – 46.9 percent to 43.2 percent – on the question of who would best combat government corruption in Washington, but neither candidate surpassed the 50 percent mark.

You can’t trust the AMA (American Medical Association) to clean up the AMA. And you can’t trust the ABA (American Bar Association) to clean up the ABA. Congress won’t clean up Congress because they enjoy the perks and freebies. Judges don’t sue judges, and lawyers seldom challenge the other.
Lobbyists spend millions to protect these industries and others, using persuasion tactics to brainwash legislators while clouding their moral integrity. Moral integrity’s already compromised in understood but unspoken loyalties to campaign contributors.
Of thousands of white collar crime cases, the FBI can investigate a few with limited resources, a bankrupted economy and suffocated national treasury.
Civil courts are ineffective, and increasingly law suits are disallowed or worthless in correcting malpractice committed by business and industry.
Since we have little-to-no effective policing system for these powerful entities–– expect more corruption.
If the election system of US Attorneys is corrupt, then how can anyone expect the FBI to be honest or to operate without bias or favoritism? If the Attorney Generals are politically inclined, will they fairly select cases to prosecute?
If the elite have a brotherhood, unchecked, unchallenged and the people have no effective instruments to demand accountability, then where is Democracy?
Does anybody really care? Apathy is what created this growing situation.
Americans let it happen, and their apathy gave the criminals keys to a runaway car. That corruption and decadence are prevalent and the economy is crashed shouldn’t be surprising at all.
Now the criminals broke the bank, there’s no funding to clean up the mess.

Just heard Economic Adviser Clark Howard dismiss the fact that the Federal Reserve Bank is
a privately owned Communist Entity owned by 300 class A stockholders as being just a ” Theory”.
That’s right some guy calls in with the actual documented facts and Clark wants to call it just a
Theory. ” Yea I’ve heard these theories about the Federal Reserve Bank but you need to
understand what their role is, to prevent Depressions and to control inflation. ” That is almost
verbatim what he said! Prevent inflation? They caused the 1929 crash and now they’re
doing it again! Control inflation? They are the ones causing it! Everyone who reads this

The fact is that the Federal Reserve Bank IS a private corporation and is not part of the US Gov’t.
It loans the US Government money that it creates out of thin air and then charges interest on
every dollar it prints and loans to the Government. About 8% total. That means that only .92
cents of every dollar even goes into circulation.

This is exactly what the native americans were up against. The corruption was on such a grand scale it wasn’t even mentioned in the media until 2008 story titled Oil Exec Sex Scandal. What they didn’t report was it had been going on for years and years and no lawyer would touch it with a ten foot pole. A woman lawyer 12 years ago stepped up to the plate and has been fighting for justice and still fighting. This woman went thru a dark time in her life because of it. This story aired on Democracy Now in August ‘08. Michelles comment sums it up. They were only accountable to each other. Were talking document shredding, missing records, land, very huge gaps in accounting records, and so forth and the latest judges decision was a drop in the bucket compared to whats owed. The Treasury Depts. excuse was we used your trust accts. to pay down the national debt. If that was true then we wouldn’t be in this mess not only thay but the same rules of law that would apply to you or i doesn’t apply to the natives. The Bush family knew exactly what was going on and so did others before them. Its all coming full circle.

HERE IS AN IDEA: You can’t march on Washington DC because if you did you would have one single target for the government to hit all at once. So I propose that on December 31 ( New Years Eve ) that the American people take back there government at the state level. We the people march on and take over the capetal building in every single state all on the same day at the same time. That would take care of the army because they cant fight us all at the same time in every state. We would just have to worry about the state government. Not to mention it would be a world wide event that they couldn’t hide on the back page. So we bust down the door for visual effect, we occupy the capitol building for a period of 3, 5, 7 days what ever. The point is we shut them down on the state level for a few days. You don’t want to really have a long stand off because you want the people to stay on your side and the people that work for the state still need a pay check at the end of the week. And we’r e just making a point. That we the people have had it and in stops RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW. BUT, if the government moves on it’s people in any state and I mean any state. Meaning that if they try to get us out using any kind of force at all, guns, tear gas, microwave cannon, whatever, then we burn it down all of them captil buildings in every state all at the same time. Now of course this plan needs a lot of fine tuning. but we have two months to make this happen. Hell, for all I know there might not be enough people pissed off yet. So most Americans think neither candidate will do anything significant to clean up corrupt politiicans in D.C.????????? well, la de f….cking da. that took alot of thought process to come up with that conclusion huh fellow Americans. better yet, you had a real chance at making a change by nominating Dr. No himself (ron paul) but instead you sat on your lazy asses and swallowed hook, line, & sinker, what both parties wanted you to. At least the Dems make no bones about their beliefs but the Republican party is about as two-faced & phony as you can get. And then Americans stand up and demand change and in the same breath sit right back down and drink the same ol kool-aid that both parties pour out. I’m not a doomsdayer or anything like that because “some” Americans are waking up to the fact that we have royally been screwed over and realize a vote for either will not change a damned thing. They accept the fact that change will most likely happen by force and we will put ourselves out there and let the chips fall where they may. The rest of you………………..you deserve what you get by not nominating someone who could have made a “REAL” difference. A vote for anyone other than Chuck Baldwin (ron paul protege) is truly a wasted vote. even that………….. the odds are slim and none. like I said, most true patriot American activists realize change will not come at the booth and are preparing for that even now.

The American people gets the blame for the mess we are all in, so I would like someone to explain how the American people let this happen? We are not the ones in the White House or Congress. I do realize we can vote the criminals out but people won’t either because they are friends with the person or something. I think the whole system stinks.

All this is our fault !! Yes, you, me, and the rest of the population of citizens.
It is we the people who have the power. Not by our vote, for that has been rigged long ago with the electoral colleges, and electronic voting.
We have the power by shear size of our numbers.
Thomas Jefferson said: “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of tyrants and patriots alike”.
Patriots always talk about dying for their country, and never killing for their country.
This entire situation is entirely our fault for allowing it to happen.
If you are not willing to stand together and stop them, then all else you do including storing food, buying guns, bullets, armor, medicine, gold, radios, batteries, and so forth will do you no good whatsoever.
One man will not, and can not stop them.
Remember, no matter what fire power you stand against, when we all form together and stop fighting each other, we are a number of 300,000,000 people of the U.S..
The military, including the National Guard and Reserves are a number about 1.2 million.
That means that for every one military person there are 300 of us.
This is our fault. We should be gathered together, not arguing who has the best information.
Fuck Alex Jones, Steve Quayle, Michael Rivera, and the rest of these crackpots who never tell the readers that our solution is to stand and take back Washington, and spill the blood of these people who have thrown away mine, yours, and our children’s futures to England.
This is the truth behind all this country’s issues. We sit as opposed to stand, we bicker as opposed to talk, we separate as opposed to gather together, and we watch tv as opposed to read.
We all need to drop our petty little prides, and join together with all our brothers and sisters, no matter what color, race, religion, political views, status, or any of the other trivial things that mean nothing to those who wish nothing but to take over this country completely, with no regard to what you want, need, or envision for your children.
Time to stand up, and be the patriot that our forefathers were. They never would have stood for this for 85 years. They would have stormed that Capitol Building and threw them all out, if not killed them.
But, we sit and argue with each other about the things that they care nothing about.
I can only hope that someday soon, we will all take responsibility for what we haven’t done.
Until then, nothing else matters. Enjoy the show of the destruction of the rest of this country, unless you are willing to forgive and love each other as a nation of winners, for that’s what we are. We just need to wake up far more people.

We let it happen because the RNC and the DNC have enough money (indirectly from Alan Greenspan’s e printing press) to control from the top down…we are no longer a grassroots society. Way too much money was given to the top 20 percent of the population…..it was so blatantly obvious when the financial bankers who lost quadrillions got a bailout and they can ask for whatever they want……and they now have the power to threaten congress with bringing the country and mainly the world completely to its knees. McCain and Obama are cowards and will do whatever they are told…and that is why they voted for the bail out when they shouldn’t have….if one of the pres. candidates voted against the bailout he would be off the c harts in the polling…….larouchepac.com tells that the big banks needed to fail…………the grassroots banks need saving as does small businesses………….wake up

As a condition of employment, ALL federal, military, state and local level employees that receive wages from tax dollars should be submitted to 24/7 NSA surveillance in all matters of finance, internet, cell phone and all associations with corporate influences. Any private individual or corporation doing business with the government should also be submitted to the same 24/7 NSA surveillance to ensure compliance with existing laws and to prevent corruption and complicity in any criminal enterprise. If you cannot tell the truth or do what you are elected to do, then we as a nation do not need you. Only when we hold everyone receiving wages from tax dollars accountable will we diminish the corruption and the plethora of crimes that go undetected. Stopping the untold corruption and holding those that violate the laws accountable should be a national priority, but alas it is not. It is time to begin the purge of corrupt federal employees.
