Popular Anti-Stimulus Video Blogger Summoned to White House

WorldNetDaily is reporting that Bob Basso, who has released videos urging Americans take their government back from corrupt politicians, was reportedly “summoned to the White House by President Obama to discuss the subject matter of the short films.”

In the video below, Basso, who portrays Thomas Paine, author of the “Common Sense” pamphlet that made the case for independence during the American Revolution, has called for Americans to send tea bags to Congress. Basso strongly criticizes Congress for approving the “largest spending bill in history without reading it” and takes Americans to task because “you did nothing.”
The video, “We The People Stimulus Package,” has over a million views.
Basso is a former award winning news director for NBC TV and visiting professor at UCLA.
He was scheduled to appear on the Jerry Doyle radio show but canceled after Obama had personally invited him to meet in the White House “to discuss the disturbing nature of the videos,” according to WND.

Although most don’t know it, but before JFK was assassinated there was talk, talk he had threatened the puppet masters with going public with We The People.

There’s a big difference between being “personally invited” to the White House by the President, as stated in the article, and being “summoned,” as the headline reads.

I have to agree with you, there is A LOT of sloppy reporting on this website. When I first started coming to infowars over a year ago there were a lot more factual entries and links to really well researched articles but this is quickly turning into a half assed blogging site. I dont know a whole lot about journalism but i do agree, you really need to step up your game Alex, your slipping! Thomas Paine was definitely a Godless , Secular Humanist. Not a problem for the agnostic ,or atheist “Truther” (Oxymoron)! However, many historians also believe he was a Freemason, and at least a Freemason, collaborator. So what are we supposed to do with that information! Sounds good, but I don’t agree with the E-verify idea he slips in. That just creates a precedence to just tag us all. If our ID’s alone isn’t enough then no microchip or multi national database on earth will help us either.

there is an ad on this page already for something as one user comments

but that post is still there. so perhaps their last thread was not erased by a moderator but got erased because of a server glitch. i guess from reading what another user posted, they are using a flag system to weed out posts but even that is not being done regularly.

Dead on. We’re suppose to be a republic. The only reason the politicians like to call it a democracy is because it incites a need for representatives, thus securing their jobs. We are supposed to be at the top of the power pyramid, bottom up government, each man his own sovereign king free to do as he pleases as long as he harms no other, staying within his bubble of unalienable rights and not infringing on others. We need to focus on solutions to the fact that every preventative law they pass is and encroachment on our rights. Instead of chasing the invisible hand that moves the pieces of the chess board, we need to focus on taking away the power of that hand. Each man can make his own stand by refusing to recognize the power of those who mean to rule us. The movement must start individually and then converge with recognizing we share the same common goal, to reinstitute the republic. We do not need leaders, we are the leaders. If every citizen wants to truly be free he must be his own provider, his own defense, his own government. Only the individual can satisfy his own needs fully. Its the joining of these free individuals on common ground that make the republic. We must rethink government. If we cast out the current government only to reinstitute the same structure as we had, we will get the same result. Tyranny. We need to open the discussion of how we think government should be instead of infighting on how our government is, or what it will do next. I understand that with the research we are building our case against the tyranny, but we are beating a dead horse. We know the government is corrupt, we know our rights are being trampled on a daily basis. It is time for and open, free and intelligent debate on solutions.

Sorry Dude, I liked your video and all but we prefer to sit back and watch the meltdown on our HD flatscreens and complain about “tyranny” in forums and chat rooms that the outside mainstream world never visits. I also like your proposals but they would require folks to get off their lazy asses and get organized. Maybe when everyone loses their homes they’ll have nothing better to do but for now I don’t see it happening. Use stencils to make signs, graffity walls, make stickers, post this website on other websites, make banners, get on radio talk shows, email everyone you know on your contact list, talk to people, leave signs by main intersections and freeways. C’mon people! Others say what can we do to help well I just gave you all a few ideas to put the word out. Now go do it before it’s to late!

He states the obvious problems, then proposes pointless solutions. Congressmen know that if they don’t vote the way the Whitehouse wants them too, they risk losing their jobs, their reputations and their futures. Unless you present a more immediate danger, you will not influence their behavior.

WATCH OUT people for some of these comments. Read them carefully if at all. There are people saying things that are intended to sound crazy which in turn is an attempt to get you to dismiss Basso and anyone who listens to him as a nut, but also to make you feel like a nut if you read it and comment on it yourself. Basso speaks 100% the truth.
There is an office in the CIA that believe it or not, has people paid to sit around and view these type of videos and web sites all day long, then turn around and make fun of them, write crazy or bashing comments and hope that it turns some of you away from them and dismiss the information. I have a family member who works higher up in the government that has seen this office, knows someone who works in it and gets informed of what goes on in it, paid for by your taxes.

Go back and look at Basso’s videos again. He mentioned much more than
tea bags.
Basso says to apply “pressure, pressure, pressure”, call everyday, every hour if
possible. He should have added email as well. He advocates driving to DC and
shutting down govt with 3 million people. The tea bag thing won’t work however
because the nitwits in govt will panic and throw them out because
they stupidly fear “biologic agents”.
I disagree with Basso on any mandatory service. A truely Constitutional govt
would have plenty of volunteers.
Remember, this is just a guy with some very good points, and a few that aren’t
so good, but his videos are so much better than anything on tv or radio. They clearly
hammer away at our government’s treason and failure to represent us.
As for all those worried Basso’s working for “them”, well, that’s not very smart.
He clearly advocates “pressure” in the form of calls, letters, and marches on
DC.
Relentless pressure. If the whiners would only act instead of finding fault with
every idea, suggestion, or tactic, they might see something actually work.

Professor Basso is a very interesting person. HE was ’summoned’ to the White House? Who is serving whom here? Would it make sense for the elected official, public servant, to visit Prof. Basso? That might even make a tremendous public relations coup for the President! Think about it!
As for universal conscription, if handled correctly, 2 years of public service could be a good idea. Next time you’re out of the house, look around your city or town and tell me it wouldn’t be a good idea. Get some of those folks off the streets and into a structured environment. Allow them to take part in America!

yo, come on guys… “two years in military service or two years in COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT” (a) you take the pick, and (b) i think he would want (just as we do) the military to be changed back to it’s old role and stature, governed by We the People before actually condoning this two years service. give the guy a break, despite his very mildly different views. if you never allowed anyone with a slightly different outlook than you to make videos, post articles, or rally the people we would never get anywhere.
oh and PS. Think about how well we would be able to keep the government in check with military training and possibly the arms we keep or are able to purchase afterward. THINK before you SPEAK.

The problem and only problem with this Basso’s video was that he mentions “service” to the country. Now, think about it. If we were in another place and time, say like 40 years ago – it would be patriotic and compassionate for people to volunteer and serve their country in local fashion. In fact, even 15 years ago it would have helped the youth of this nation take pride in the National Sovereignty of our people and of our nation. BUT….NOW…any such talk is a threat because we know where it is leading us and we KNOW that this is the first stage to servititude and fascism. The “concept” of serving your homeland or compulsory duty isn’t a BAD thing – but in this landscape…it is now and only serves one person and that is to take control away from the people for an omnious agenda. I don’t know if Basso is playing us. But why is the Prez “summoning” him – to make a show of power? How insecure and precarious a hold these Globalist have. General; Evidently you have no memory of the military draft for young males between the ages of 18 & 25. This made every war an equal opportunity war, so that the well-to-do and well connected did not get to stand on the sidelines and ridicule those who were required to serve, except through the deferment system which I am sure was abused to some extent. If any war is truly an issue of the nation’s survival then it is incumbent on every able bodied man to serve to preserve the country that provides the protection of his rights. Wars should not be fought to keep the military industrial complex operating at a profit. This does not mean that I think that we should have a political para military corps like the nazi brown shirts of WWII that Mr. Obama our alleged president is proposing.

Scott, you think he said bring back the Constitution, but he is really asking us to demand unconstitutional things. E-verify will lead to RFID tracking of humans and even if it doesn’t (it will), it’s a violation of the 4th Amendment. He wants us to demand the abolition of the electoral college, which was created by Article II Section 1 of the Constitution. He wants us to demand universal national service (mandatory), which is a violation of the 13th Amendment of the Constitution. There’s nothing to twist about that. I say: Americans ARE cowards! I gave up this country. I moved here, because I thought Americans were Capitalists, believers in free trade. How wrong I was… The American people has turned into a bunch of cowards, too comfortable to shake the government grip on their lives. We’re required to wear sit-belts; register our dogs; we can’t cut our own trees and burn our own dry leaves; we’re forced to use city water; we’re taxed into oblivion so government can hand OUR hard-earned money to bastards who don’t even work!
