Preparing for years in Afghanistan

The Pentagon’s senior military leaders are worried that the security situation in Afghanistan is stalemated or deteriorating, and now are preparing a far-reaching plan that would prepare the U.S. military for a war that could last three to five more years, officials said.
The effort, which is being coordinated by the Joint Staff and is still in its early stages, is designed to create an experienced cadre of officers and senior enlisted soldiers, who would rotate between assignments in Afghanistan and at their home stations until the end of hostilities.

By doing so, the Pentagon hopes to end a problem that has plagued the effort in Afghanistan—the lack of familiarity with local conditions by U.S. forces who rotate in and then depart after a year, just when they are beginning to understand the area or the mission where they are assigned.
“These would be small groups who would deploy together for shorter periods, going back and forth to the same place and the same mission again and again, so they would know the culture and the terrain,” said a senior Pentagon official briefed on the plan, who said the teams could be asked to conduct training or other specialized counterinsurgency missions.

To say there are no WMD’s in Iraq is to harm the WMD truth movement. Of course there are WMD’s in Iraq. The US had proof! The US had videos, photos, and 1000’s of eyewitnesses that said there were WMD’s in Iraq. Every US government agency, military, politician, and administration official said “OF COURSE” Iraq has WMD’s….look at the massive amount of unverifiable evidence. By saying there were NO WMD’s you are hurting the movement. Well….what happened. Someone, just one person, wanted to simply VERIFY a single piece of WMD. Regardless of the overwhelming proof, evidence, eyewitnesses, photos, videos that there were WMD’s. The second that not one single piece of WMD could be tested and verified….it then became an “intelligence failure”. Though are we still in Iraq 6 years later based on this same admitted intelligence failure?
Now let’s look at the planes of 911. Just like the WMD’s in Iraq the world has overwhelming evidence of videos, photos, eyewitnesses, every government agency and department, all politicians, all government leaders…that say there WERE planes on 911. Fine. One side note….never in aviation crash history has video, eyewitnesses, or photos ever verified a plane crash. NEVER. Only wreckage verification proves a crash. On 911…just like the WMD’s….that’s all the “evidence” the world has. Just like the WMD’s…to this day….NOT ONE SINGLE PIECE OF AIRLINER DEBRIS FROM ANY OF THE 4 PLANES FROM ANY OF THE 4 LOCATIONS HAS EVER BEEN VERIFIED. Not one single piece. Each 757-767 has a standard 3.1 million serial ID stamped parts that can easily be identified and verified. The reason given by the FBI for NEVER having tested or verified a single piece….ready….”because we all saw it on TV”.
There were no planes on 911 (whether a Jassam or Global Hawk or nothing at all is beyond my post….though look at the videos of the military testing a Global Hawk…it looks identical to what was seen at all 4 locations on 911.) You must go beyond that now. It now means that the War on Terror WAS and IS a lie. Homeland security and its agency based on terror is lie. Larry Silverstien is the greatest money laundering insurance con man in world history. It means the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq were lies. It means the Patriot Act was a lie (check out the money laundering section of the Patriot Act..perfect for FBI and CIA drug smuggling). It means the US military contractor owned media was as complicit and guilty as anyone during 911…if not more so. New laws must be passed that never again allow such collusion and connection between media, government, and military. GE, the owner of NBC news has profited over $500 Billion since 911….because of 911. This does not include the $250 Billion from the fraudulent TARP funds which was nothing more than another Bush real estate scam ala S&L of the 1980’s.
GE, although they did a good job of hiding it, was the major insurance underwriter for a “terrorism policy” on the WTC’s just 6 weeks before 911. It was the FIRST such policy EVER taken on US soil. To understand more of the money aspect of 911…research “separation scams” for insurance and how drug money is laundered into the US. (Did you know that an insurance company never has to explain where it got the money to pay a claim?! What that means is that if you can murder a 1000 people and they sign away their rights to sue….a criminal could technically launder a Trillion dollars through an insurance scam known as “separation” and the insurance company would never have to explain where the money cam from. Learn more about the money side of these criminals. Is it any wonder that insurance companies directly related to 911 like AIG are being bailed out after making Billions from 911?)
After 5 years of intense research on 911 I have come to only 2 simple conclusions. There were no planes on 911. And 911 was all about money. I actually became disappointed to understand that 911 was nothing more than a financial scam. I thought it would have been much more. Much more involved. Much more mystery, intrigue, double-crossing, religious zealously, political backstabbing. Turns out….it was all about money.

Well if the “until the end of hostilities” really is a definition for military success I guess Iraq isn’t a success at all. If the goal is to keep vast amounts of U.S. troop occupied in Iraq it’s an enormous success. Afghanistan will even be a greater success already breeding future new Talibans members by random drone bombing.
War games show you need a lot of troops to get any success in Afghanistan and history shows that fact right in your face. Brezinski knows that and lied about it before when he claimed that using large amount of troops was a Russian mistake.
The U.S. can’t afford a third front financially though it seems that the American Army people are still “just following orders” in a re-draft(s). So, a third American war front isn’t unlikely cause it is business as usual for the war government but finance will bottleneck new cunning war plans.
But the question remains if they can delude the American public into a substantial military personal sucking third or expanding Afghanistan war front ?

People are homeless and on the streets. There are thousands of houses sitting in foreclosure that aren’t being resold. The market has to bottom so it can work it’s way back to where it should be. the majority of houses on the market on bank owned, meaning they are technical on the market as you can get a walk through and place an offer on it, but the banks will NOT sell because they are waiting for the market to bounce back which won’t happen unless Uncle Barry steps in and helps them. This is also true for “short sell” homes where the original owner still owns it but is in an agreement with the banks to sell the house at a lower rate in order to get the owner out of a financial mess, for instance if the owner owes 90,000 on their mortgage, they make a deal with the bank to sell the house for 50,000 and the bank gets all the money. But the banks are greedy and don’t want to short sell, so they have miles of paper work and the average “short sell” is very, very long, a six month period to a year, so it’s more like a “long” sell.
Combine this with the fact that the banks are using phoney monopoly money and you have an institution that is not only making Americans homeless but also preventing other people from moving in.

My point was….with all the handouts from the Gov for banks to buy up other banks, it makes more sense for the Gov to issue “housing vouchers” to buy up the foreclosed homes. It gets the “toxic” mortgages out of the banks’ hands, the banks still get their “bailout”, and the needy/screwed over get some resolve.

it’s easy to keep people asleep when you are ordered not to wake up and ask questions. But that can’t last forever, sooner or later even the most die hard loyal soldier will question his commanding officer.
A friend of the family once told a story about his experience in the war. Their whole platoon was attacked and they were basically sitting ducks. If they moved from their location they would surely get toasted. He said that the only people left were him and his commanding officer. His CO gave him an order to keep fighting, which he knew was a crazy order. The CO pulled out a gun and said he’d shoot him if he didn’t go out there and fight. With a nod of his head, he said he’d do it, and pulled out his own gun. But instead of jumping in enemy fire he shot his CO and lived to tell about it.

well anybody with half a brain would know that this war would drag on forever, heck, we still have troops in Kosovo, and we even have troops in the Philippines to guard against guerrilla forces there. Any country we have ever been to and more or less conquered, we keep a large bastion of troops stationed there, with the exceptions only being Vietnam and France.

Afganistan and Iraq… I’m in the position of supporting the troops but being against the “war”.
A few inconsistancies bother me. Isn’t the definition of war a fight between two opposing armies? There is only one army in Iraq and Afganistan and they are fighting civillians who wish to free themselves of foriegn occupation.
I believe it was Peter Ustinov who said “War is terrorism of the rich and terrorism is war of the poor…”
In WW2 the French resistance were freedom fighters and heroes to the French and their allies, but to the Nazis they were terrorists. Now freedom fighters in another country have become terrorists to us and heroes to their own people. Doesn’t that make us the new Nazis?
Why does the media seemingly never pose the question of WHY would people from other nations want to come to our affluent countries and blow things up? I suppose that would undermine the carefully cultivated media fantasy of ourselves as the political/cultural/economic/technological Uber-Mensch that the rest of the world is just jealous of.
Bring our much mis-used and abused soldiers home now.

I agree. These soldiers have no idea what they’ve gotten themselves into. There is a significant amount of brainwashing going on – that’s no secret – and they really believe these bad things they are doing are for the greater good and the reason we sit here and criticize them is because we aren’t strong enough or smart enough to do the dirty work necessary to protect our society.
Of course this is rubbish, they are fed this – this isn’t their own conclusion – they have no conclusions – and when/if they ever do it isn’t long after they show themselves out of serving.
Be patient with the soldiers – don’t curse them – pity them at least.
Don’t be drawn into the elitist’s game of making us choose between our soldiers and the innocent lives they are snuffing out in the name of imperialism. Let’s support them both by TEARING DOWN THE BASTARDS THAT ARE BEHIND IT ALL!!!

Afghans are tough SOB’s. They live in the mountains, live and die by the sword, carve from the land their existence, live lives harder than the toughest special forces the US has to offer. In the rare instance they aren’t receiving a constant stream of arms and ammunition from Pakistan, they make them themselves in the mountains. Many of them have used firearms as long as they’ve been capable of holding them up long enough to get a bead.
They buried the British Empire, the Soviets, and they look well on their way to bury the American Empire. There is a good reason Afghanistan is called the graveyard of empires. Funny … the globalists have such grand designs for this world but can’t even pacify a battered nation of goat herders and poppy farmers. May this be the last empire – that people may wake up and stop this endless, pointless wheel of history turning.

As with Iraq, the real reason for staying in Afghanistan is because of to the access to oil. Although
this country doesn’t much in the way of petro reserves, it’s northern neighbor Turkmenistan borders the Caspian Sea which contains billions of barrels of oil and nautral gas. Thus, making Afghanistan a strategic location for building oil pipelines through it to a port in Pakistan. The current President of Afghanistan Harmid Karzi was a former consultant to UNICOL (a major oil company)!!!!
