Progressives Need to Dump Obama and the Corporatist Democrat Party

It really is pathetic the way libs are fooled. They invariably buy into all the manufactured hype around elections. They are hard pressed to realize the obvious fact — elections are dog and pony shows designed to trick the public into thinking they are participating in the so-called democratic process when in fact they are simply signing off on corporate and banker vetted candidates, who are little more than PR front men and script readers. Behind the paper-thin curtain of hype and distraction is the ugly reality of predatory globalism and the New World Order. Obama is no different than Bush, except he is more intelligent and more palatable to the masses. Democrats have the same agenda as the Republicans, albeit with differences on a few social issues, which are played up in the corporate media. But when it comes to financial and foreign policy — and the two are intertwined — there is no difference. Liberal statists, who like to call themselves “progressives,” always discover this after the election. It happens every election cycle.

Take as an example Stephen Zunes. Mr. Zunes is a respected “progressive,” a professor of Politics at the University of San Francisco, where he chaired the Peace and Justice Studies program between 1998 and 2004. He teaches courses on the politics of Middle East, so he knows something about U.S. foreign policy and Israel. He should have known Obama was just another front man for mass murder in the Middle East, especially after he so obligingly sojourned to kiss the ring at AIPAC. But Zunes drank the kool-aid like all the other “progressives.” He wanted to believe Obama was something other than what he really is — a front man for the bankers and corporatists — so he deceived himself into thinking the “change” mirage was real.
“I had really wanted to celebrate Barack Obama’s remarkable victory for a day or so before becoming cynical again. I really did,” Zunes laments. “And yet, less than 24 hours after the first polls closed, the president-elect chose as his chief of staff — perhaps the most powerful single position in any administration — Rahm Emanuel, one of the most conservative Democratic members of Congress.”
Conservative is a misnomer. Rahm Emanuel is a Democrat neocon, for lack of a better description. “Illinois Congressman Rahm Emanuel is a member of the so-called New Democrat Coalition (NDC), of group of center-right pro-business Congressional Democrats affiliated with the Democratic Leadership Conference, which is dedicated to moving the Democratic Party away from its more liberal and progressive base,” writes Zunes.
In fact, the current Democrat party leadership has never embraced its “more liberal and progressive base.” The Democrat party is a corporatist contrivance just like the Republicans. In the murky and mostly forgotten past, the Democrats were the party of Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson, who opposed the bankers. All of this changed after the election of 1912 when the banker tool Woodrow Wilson was elected and it really gained momentum a few years later when Roosevelt’s New Deal coalition gained control of the party. In the 1980s the Democrats adopted the so-called “Third Way” — described as a centrist compromise between capitalism and socialism, that is to say Fabian socialism — and it was off to the races with bankers and corporatists leading the charge.

In order to mesmerize and fool the rank and file, the New Democrats have pandered and paid lip service to liberal and progressive ideals while teaming up with the Republicans to continue the all-war, all the time agenda. As Zunes documents, Rahm Emanuel is a prime example of this deception and betrayal. He supported the invasion of Iraq and has consistently called for Pentagon budget increases. He is a “prominent hawk” (that is to say, neocon) in regard to Israel and its multiple crimes against humanity. Mr. Zunes tells us the Democrats attempted to resist all of this through a series of amendments. In fact, such amendments and ineffectual complaints were little more than showboating and pandering to the repeatedly betrayed Democrat base.
“It is unclear how serious of a blow Obama’s selection of Emanuel is to those who hoped that Obama might actually steer the country in a more progressive direction,” writes Zunes. “It’s easy to see it as nothing less than a slap in the face of the progressive anti-war elements of the party to whom Obama owes his election, particularly following his selection of Sen. Joe Biden as vice president.”
It should be clear as a bell. The Democrat leadership, epitomized by Rahm Emanuel, will continue the neocon-neoliberal agenda: more war, in fact endless war, and a continuation of the banker consolidation that will ultimately reduce the Democrat base and the rest of the country to third world status.
So-called progressives and rank and file Democrats need to understand there is very little difference between the Bush neocons and the Obama neolibs — in fact, a look at the membership list of the Council on Foreign Relations and attendee lists of the Bilderberg meetings reveal a conspicuous crossover, not that you will read about it in the New York Times.
Mr. Zunes holds out hope, however futile. The appointment of Rahm Emanuel to the post of chief of staff “does not necessarily mean that Obama as president will pursue nothing better than a Clintonesque center-right agenda. Someone with Obama’s intelligence, knowledge and leadership qualities need not be unduly restricted by the influence of his chief of staff as less able presidents have. At the same time, this shocking appointment of Emanuel is illustrative of the need for the progressive base that brought him to power to not celebrate too long and to refocus our energies into pushing hard to ensure that the change Obama promised is something we really can believe in.”
Energies, unfortunately, all for naught as the base once again reveals a propensity to be fooled and diverted. Mr. Zunes and the progressives need to do some serious soul searching and realize they have no place in the Democrat party. First and foremost, they need to understand that the Democrat party is owned by the bankers and the corporatists. Second, they need to realize that Obama is nothing if not a front man for the international banking elite and he will not only pursue “a Clintonesque center-right agenda” (the center, right, or left has nothing to do with it) but will in fact surpass Clinton and, indeed, even George W. Bush.
Progressives need to get off the Democrat bus and organize a new political party. If they take the Democrat rank and file with them that will truly serve a grand and stunning blow to the likes of Rahm Emanuel and the party leadership. Short of that, the Democrat bus is headed over a cliff into the globalist abyss.

Reality is the best wake up call – for some. The general populace (the world for that matter), because of the last eight years under bad-cop Bush, are so elated and mesmerized by the good-cop Obama, they don’t even realize they’re still in the precinct (that employs both cops) and in the same interrogation room with the jail cell right outside the door. Like I said, we may have a new president, but the real question is, will we have a better government? Given who really controls it, I’ll reserve my expectations in the doubt category.

I think a lot of progressives are aching for any glimmer of hope, and Many of them are willing to take in Obama simply because he “appears” to be different than Bush. As American’s, they want to believe that the election system in America works for them, and they want to be proud again of their country. Even if it is a false hope, whatever gets them through the day and makes them forget these last 8 years is important.
I don’t know if Obama will help or not, but I am at least willing to give the man a chance, (well i voted for the guy) and bite the bullet. Call me a brainwashed slave of the NWO, MSM, sheeple, appeaser, whatever.
It’s just that I can’t pass judgment on him before even taking office yet.

I 100% agree with you very well put, here in Australia we are not so dictated to yet, but the censorship is trying it’s mark the Government wants to put a censorship filter on the internet.

Interesting how Israel’s actions are referred to as ‘crimes against humanity’ while American actions in the middle east are only an ‘unjust war’. To boil either side in the conflict down to such simple terms only serves to divide people over the issue and make peace all the more difficult to achieve in the hearts and minds of the people.
When judging the actions of a nation represented by its government, hold your own nation to the same standard. If it is your opinion that Israel has committed crimes against humanity, then so has the United States, and to a much larger degree in terms of human losses – especially considering self-defense was not at all a factor in attacking Iraq.
Over in the Middle East, Americans are often seen as evil aggressors who want to enslave the planet. From their point of view, I guess you can’t really blame them. But in your experience, are your neighbors and friends bad people who want to enslave the planet? Of course not. That’s idiotic… But ask yourself, do you apply the same generalized thinking to other nations?

I’m sorry but Nimmo getting worse not better, he makes such strong assumptions on very little evidence not to mention that he is an admitted Ultra-Conservative (I’m not sure how that differentiates from a neo-con, but some how he expects us to believe that his views differ from neo-cons).
I’m tired of his BS story telling because he never presents FACTS just assumptions. I mean seriously he expects us to jump on the band wagon before the president even steps into office.
But I guess that’s enough for people at this site, because most of them didn’t like Obama anyways. He’s either a terrorist, part of the NWO, or an illegal immigrant (just like that lying Corsi told all of you in his worst book to date ‘Obama Nation’. Personally I’m shocked that they didn’t get picture of his African cousin who was living in this country illegally for the past two years (that is actually true not in Corsi’s book which proves to me that Corsi did very little research for his worst seller).
I like what Obama is bringing to the table, and I for one will show my patriotism and back my president up until he proves he is as useless as the rest of the presidents we have had in the past 50 years. He’s smarter, coherent and extremely attentive, he doesn’t presume he knows best because that would make him like every other leader we’ve had.
Come February I might be singing a different tune but until he proves me wrong I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt.
If he is as Nimmo and Info wars has made him out to be he will not be around for very long to say the least. America is tired of getting BS’ed, and can’t take too much more of it. He will be for the people or else he will have a major problems not just from conservatives but from the black population as well. Believe me when I tell you all eyes are on him and are waiting to see what he is going to do.
Something tells me if he doesn’t socialize medicine (at least for the poor to mid class families) he will be cut from neck to scrotum, he made promises to his people that will have to be kept.
But let’s try to not prejudge too much prior to his first day because he can prove us all wrong in the end.
Personally I feel excited about the current direction that we are taking and if people want to make assumptions well you know how the rest of the expression goes. (just in case; when you make assumptions, you make an ass of yourself)
Also Nimmo is a douce bag who lies for a living just like his hero Mr. Corsi. Throughout the election he has been on the attack when it came to democrats and gave republicans a free pass. If he truly believed what he said in this article he would have attacked both sides equal, but instead showed his true colors and attacked only half of the so called dog and pony show called the election. Personally I think it goes to show how unamerican he actually is and really doesn’t respect our civil process of elections. Not to mention that this was the biggest voter turn out in american history which makes me believe that the democratic process is starting to get it’s act together. But of course because the conservatives lost there bitching louder then ever, and questions the democrats motives.
How obvious does Nimmo have to make it for you people before you start questioning his motives?
Start today and count how many articles he writes attacking the left and then count how many times he attacks republicans, I GUARANTEE YOU, you will never see him lacing into the conservative party the way he attacks the left or democratic party.

He always has Nimmo or Watson loosely referencing them but never puts the original declassified documents on his site, I WONDER IF HE EVER HAS had the documents to begin with.
This isn’t an attack on him I’m just curious. I have learned some pretty important facts on this site but never took it at face value but rather used it as a reference point and some of the info is interesting to say the least HAARP, happens to be my favorite thing that I’ve learned at this site, 9/11 I can’t give credit to Alex or his site but rather when it happened it never made much sense how 2 planes took out 3 buildings all of which fell in it’s own foot print (yeah right it wasn’t a controlled demolition).

While new to Infowars, I think there is an impeding sense of control over our lives as modern citizens. I do believe it is very important that we dissect the motives of our leaders and maintain an open mind.
Although, maybe because I am new to the ’scene’ here, I either 1) have missed a few of the memos or 2) simply need more substantial information. At the moment, as the outsider that I think I am (maintaining objectivity), some of these articles are very over the top with their generalized references.
In order to accept these articles (opinions) as fact, I think there are 2 things [or more] one has to believe: 1) that humanity has a natural propensity for evil; a) power leads to evil, b) evil has its own karmic gravity, c) some are inherently born as evil, d) modernity which brings more information also brings more knowledge which brings more control…which breeds evil.
2) That everything humanity stands for, being the pursuit of happiness, longevity of life through modern medicine, the WHO and Peace Corps, and consumerist luxuries are all: a) facades to keep us content as sheeple, b) actually instituted to take away our liberties (modern medicine kills, and consumerist luxuries lock one into debt/slavery), c) the government knows all of this and perpetuates it to keep us distracted.
I say this because there are a lot of generalizations in these documentaries and articles. And it seems to me, one way to accept them as viable–without having hard evidence–is to make those conscious agreements with yourself. So, in a way, it is another form of faith.
I am merely being a skeptic for the sake of clarity. If anyone can clear this up for me, without emotion and judgement, I would appreciate it.

You are free to draw your own conclusions about Kurt Nimmo’s motivations or bias in writing his articles but I can’t buy into the Obama kool-aid drinking either based on his present and recent actions. He voted for banker bailout, some of the people he is appointing to cabinet positions were instrumental in the current financial crisis etc. You are free to put your faith in Obama but people that see the handwriting on the wall based on his actions are in my eyes at least justified in their trepidation.

Kurt, if you can’t offer any constructive solutions I think you should hold off on your
conjecture. Simply put, you don’t know what going to happen. The election is over! All you
are doing is playing into the anxiety of certain people….unless your ultimate intent is to spur
some kook into some assassination attempt.
I am one of those progressives. Of all the candidates my first choice was Kucinich. When my
chance to vote came the only viable choice I had was Hillary, McCain, and Obama. I voted for
Obama. I don’t know what he intends to do. There are several things I don’t like about him But
I am so sick and tired of the BS I’ve seen over the past 30 yrs I am willing to try something different.
I know presidents are puppets! And I agree with Mike Rivero. Maybe just maybe, one of them
will have the courage to break away and try to be independent – ala FDR or JFK. I didn’t think
Hillary or McCain would do that. Perhap Obama won’t either, but I believe he’d mostly would of the 3.

You could make the argument that Obama has already screwed up. He voted for banker bailout. Some people he is appointing to cabinet positions played a part in the current financial situation. That to go along with Biden saying that Obama will make decisions that will make him very unpopular a year from now even with people like you who voted for him.

I really try not to be biased and attempt at all times to treat others the way I’d like to be treated, but when it comes to neocon zionist jews, I cannnot help but to observe they run the show and appear to be absolutely deceptive and evil, hence the US biased favoritism of Israel…Obama has already pledged $40 Billion to Isreal’s defense, and he isn’t even in the white house, yet! Come and join my face book page i have just started today. ( Revolution Started) I am gathering people and have started an event. My proposal to everyone is….I get 5000 people and we have a peaceful protest outside the big house in Washington. so come and join me..fight the fight.

All of you people telling “Americans”, we need to rise up and defend ourselves and rebel and so on and so forth, go ahead and give me some insight as to how we do this. When there are things like the Patriot Act and Constitution Free zones. People need a leader to start the revolution, but when 1 person stands up they will be knocked down, arrested, and never heard from again.
And on a side note, who is to say that whatever country your from is in any better of a situation? If you haven’t noticed, the “New World Order” is coming. And I’ll bet my fake money that you’ll be swallowed up while sitting there idle.

We all have a soul deep inside of us that we must use and use this light, for this is the very origin of Evolution. I believe with all my heart and love for this World that this is the only way to overcome this dark cloud man has enslaved us in. The only way to see this light, and be surrounded with goodness is through the practice of meditation. This is soul searching, and you will learn more about yourself and the world around you than anything you ever thought possible. I believe these are the most important words that you could ever be told. This is not one to ignore, as I am directly speaking about saving the entire world. I believe this is possible as the only way to fight darkness is with light, and this is the most powerful force that lives inside of us, you must use it. I used “Windows Movie Maker” (Comes standard with “Windows XP”).I recently suffered from severe “Hacker attacks” (Long story),and had to reinstall my “WinXP” operating system.I lost EVERYTHING… Including “Adobe Audition” which is one of THE best “Audio” editing programs that there is (I highly recommend it,but it is VERY expensive)…
I am trying to save up so that I can purchase it,and also something like “Adobe Premiere Elements” which is a FAR more advanced “Video” editing program than what I am using now.It will make my videos look even that much more “Professional”…

It details the fundamental flaws of the monetary and finance systems and the solution and some are not going to like it. Yet it is not sure that Obama would actually adopt the new system.

You guys can’t deal with democracy when you’re in the minority. Everyone else is wrong but you.
How about the fact that Ron Paul didn’t win his own corrupt Republican party nomination. He could have run as an independent – No, Green party – No, Liberatarian, did that–didn’t work. He didn’t want to run as a democrat, so he didn’t win that nomination. This isn’t a parlimentarian democracy, but a representative democracy, so get a majority (50% +1) and you can win an election.
Most people that listened to Ron Paul realized he didn’t have what they wanted. That’s democracy.
If you don’t like democracy, then change the system from within. Petition, write letters, run for school board, or shut up and accept the changes that will occur.
Enough of the sour grapes. Get back to work and help America. If you’re going to impede progress, then you are going to be pushed aside.
Try to focus on the good things in life. A lot of Americans are feeling positive right now. Maybe you’re right, they are all kool-aid drunk, but maybe they’re not. What if good things happen. What if the economic problems abate? What if changes occur that bring prosperity back? Was it because the grand conspiratoritals allowed it to happen?

He got less than 50% of the total vote, more than 50% of Americans voted against him or at least not for him, more than 50% did not vote for Obama’s vision of carbon emission taxation and youth corps working for the government as energy-/enviro-spies, more than 50% of the taxpayers did not vote for more redistribution of wealth. YET that’s exactly what’s going to be implemented, for ALL the people, whether they want it… or NOT!!

If you are not thoroughly disgusted with Washington , this plan will work for you but you probablywon,t work for the plan. Since Washington hears what it wants to hear when we communicate with it electronically we’ll need to speak to it by mail. Yes! Mail! It’s importantant that you ask three (3) others to do so also. Have them encourage three others and so on. (1). Handwrite a postcard or a letter to one elected or appointed official, put a stamp on it and mail it via U.S. Mail. The more that you mail the better but do it DAILY. I think that in a show of goodwill for our President Elect Obama, a daily word of encouragement from America the Beautiful would be welcome. I trust that we could all offer an element of wisdom and guidance that would afford them an opportunity to govern with a more mature approach. But do share your views and opinions on your perspective of their past approaches. Minimum, one letter plus per day via U.S. Mail. How long do you do this? At least 90 days after the inauguration. Alright people if you ever wanna see what type of crazy’s are visiting this site just participate on the online poll on the home page (over 80% of people think that the democrats are going to censor talk radio!!!…….LOL no there not, just like they aren’t going to censor shortwave radio).
If they were to focus on censoring anything right now it would be the INTERNET, which a lot of people (including republicans have been asking for due to the sexual content and advertising for it is popping up every where, even in place that would be considered inappropriate. But I say leave the internet be what it is, a perfect replica of society at it purest form with all it’s flaws.
What would make you assume they would censor radio (anymore then it already is, people have already left radio for satellite radio for the larger band range and it’s freedom to say whatever it wants……just ask HOWARD STERN and his ‘poti’ posse)?
Most radio talk shows don’t have a very large demographic (Alex is sitting at a mere 5m listeners, which is pretty good for a talk show, but not nearly the most popular in the US, I think George Noory is way up there in the 15-20m demographic but he still pales to the so called mainstream radio).
Just very funny to see that side of this site, I mean I criticize it for it;s speculation and spotty research and even sometimes I accuse this site of completely misleading it;s audience however to see the results of the polls no wonder the people at this site are so misguided.

I just do not understand why our so called good Americans believe we live in a democracy, we do not this is a republic and we need to get back to that.
But they believe their public education system, where they were brainwashed. I have no use for that system, hell I also have very little use for doctors, because all most want to do is give you drugs which are worse then the cure, and those drugs also help to control the public, but well they do not even know it because they drank the Kool-Aid a long time ago.

The best thing that can come out of this is that the American people will finally realize the Dems and Republicans are one in the same. There are other choices on the ballots people.

Inquiring minds did not have to wait until Obama’s choice of Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff to understand he was another servant of the military-indstrial complex. ALL one has to do is look at his voting record and listen to his comments. He will simply take a more incremental/subtle approach to achieving the imperial ambitions of the globalists. His voting record tells all. He claimed to “oppose” the Iraq war from the start. He gave proof of this “opposition” by pointing to a speech he gave at an anti-war rally in Chicago in 2002 in front of 50 people. He then goes to the U.S. senate in 2004 and votes to fund the war EVERY SINGLE TIME! If you opposed strib clubs and nude bars because you thought it was degrading to women, would you send 10% of your paycheck to the local strip club? Of course not! He doesnt oppose the war. He is simply SAYING he opposes the war to get the anti-war support. He will not withdraw from Iraq either. The best proof of that is once again his very own words. He says he wants to “withdraw” from Iraq by 16 months and yet wants to keep a “strike force” of a few thousands soldiers to protect “U.S. interests”. Those interests being the U.S. embassy that is the size of the vatican and of course the corporate interests. SO add it up. BUsh invades Iraq and gains control of the oil reserves and build the vatican-size embassy and Obama’s job is to protect them. WHere’s the difference? ANd even the troops that he withdraws from Iraq will be sent to afghanistan to quell the “insurgents”. Barack Obama loved to say how John Mccain would of been Bush’s 3rd term and yet on issue after issue he lined up with George W Bush. Wall Street loan sharks gypping the American people for $700 billion? Check. The Ultra secret FISA COURT arbitrarily granting spying requests from the FBI and CIA? Check. George Bush’s “Faith Based Initiative” and the religious interventionist state? Yep. Patriot ACT and the abolition of the 6th and 4th Amendment? Check. THe job draining CAFTA treaty, which is modeled after NAfta and signed by BUSH in 2005? Obama supports it. He tells his fanbase that he’ll “revamp” NAFTA. WHat his fanbase doesnt know, or 98% of Maericans for that matter, is that NAFTA CAN”T BE REVAMPED!. There is something called “fast track authority” that these globalist friendly deals are negotiated under. It calls for Unnamed, unknown, unelected U.S” officials” to negotitate with “trade deals” with other countries. Under “fast track” they are given a rigid deadline to complete a deal, say, 1 week. THe deal is then sent the the respective parliaments/congresses of the nations involved where there is very limited debate. IN fact CAFTA was approved by the U.S. congress after a mere 2 hours of debate! ANd once these “trade deals” are passed and ratified, they can’t be altered in any shape, form or fashion! ONe can also point to to the hawkish statements Obama’s makes regarding the Iranian “threat”. His comments are no different than BUsh’s. Iran is a grave threat and blah, blah, blah. Nevermind the fact that the U.S. government has more nukes than any other country. Nevermind the fact that our military budget is greater than the combined budgets of the next 14 biggest military spenders. Never mind the fact that we have over 900 bases around the world including many in the middle east. If Iran is trying to get a nuclear weapon it is merely to portect themselves from the Washington D.C, agressors.

I agree that government needs a serious shakeup. who has an answer?
I think the first thing at this point would be to cry foul on Obama and get him to select a different Chief of Staff.
Then you can go start your own party and get 1.5% of the vote if you’re really good.

Please elaborate. Everything brought out about Obama is true and documented, yet people like you are buying into his shtick just like people bought into Slick Willie’s. All he has to say is “I’ll take care of you, I’m your leader. Tell me what you want, and you will have it.” And you’re deliriously happy that he was elected.
So just what does Alex have to do that would please you? My guess is nothing would. Everything is racist, if he is polite to black callers then that’s wrong. He is nothing but considerate and appreciative of all callers, and apologizes if he interrupts them.

It seems to me that the post of Chief of Staff should be entirely up to the discretion of the President-elect in that this person will manage the White House staff, control access (both personal and informational) to POTUS, and have unlimited access himself. If you were suddenly to be promoted to be the head of your company, wouldn’t you expect to be able to select as chief of staff (or executive secretary) whomever you wanted, as you yourself know best the type of person who should be at your right hand? What I am saying is, it is time to can the criticism of Rahm Emanual until such time as he seems to be doing a bad job–the fact of the matter is, the new boss wants him in that position, and so be it.
