Quran-Burning Cartoons Sought in Iran

As Iran continues to react angrily over desecration of the Quran, it is turning to cartoons as an outlet for its outrage over perceived “Islamophobia.”

An institution in Tehran is inviting caricaturists from around the world to submit cartoons for an online exhibition in response to Florida Pastor Terry Jones’s threat to burn copies of the Quran to mark the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

Suggested themes are “Devil against Holly [sic] Books,” “Burning Quran,” and “Devil against Human Nature.” Jones is the author of a book entitled “Islam is of the Devil.”
