Here's an email exchange I had with Iris Evans:

---- clipity clip ----

Thank you for your support.

Raising a child is the most important responsibility in our society, and
my comments were a reflection of its importance to me personally.

The references I made to parenting were in respect to a question about
financial literacy and making sure children understand the value of a
dollar. My intent was to point out that understanding money and
finances starts at home, not in the schools. And I was specifically
pointing out that my three sons have done a better job than I had in
passing this on.

I understand some people were offended by some of what I said. I did
not intend to suggest there is only one way to raise a child. Having
worked for most of my adult life while raising kids, I understand no
situation is the same and that parents have to make difficult choices
that are in the best interests of their children, and I applaud them for
making these choices.

I do believe that spending time teaching values and coaching their
children as well as loving them is the biggest gift parents can provide.
And I also believe that most parents do this.

Again, thank you most sincerely for your kind comments.

Iris

Dear Mrs. Evans,

Re: Proper parenting means one parent should sacrifice a paycheque to
stay at home.

We're with you %100. Fortunately we are in a position where my wife can
stay home with the children, and we really do prefer this. If we are not
taking care of the kids, then who is? My wife and the kids enjoy
spending time together and doing piano lessons and that sort of thing.

We will likely start home schooling next school seas well, for the above
mentioned reasons, as well as keeping the kids away from the "forced"
vaccinations the schools seem to be so concerned about lately.

Thanks, and more power to you!

""About that helping the unemployment, it wouldn’t, trust me. Why? Because the Unemployment is massively engineered by the Elitists in order to get the entire World dependent on them, so that the # of people like me are kept to an absolute minimum(Instead, the Resistance(If you even call it that)is made up of uneducated “Infowarriors” who blindly fight to the death for people like Alex Jones).""

You have to start fighting somewhere. I think it would work. Someones got my Job.

Yeah, that's right, Married to 1/3 Native American!

Of course, we have to consider the fact that the material in good homeschool curriculae is much more advanced than that of the government school system.

"Hey! My college freshman got an A in remedial reading! What a great system!

What a bunch of whiners. Not being mean, but women nowadays have it made. My grandmother raised 9 kids in an area where there was no available electricity until the late 50's so meals were prepared on a wood cook stove from scratch. There wasn't a nice washing machine to do the laundry which meant doing by hand. There wasn't any running to the grocery store for canned food. They had to can their own. No cell phones, no computers no tv's no video games. No formula, no disposable diapers. Get the picture.

Normally I can't back public statements but really this woman got it right if one of you can't stay at home while the other takes care of the bread winning perhaps it's a sign of a deeper problem. The family has progressively been forced further and further down on the priority list so maybe just maybe putting the kids high enough to nurture them yourselves would be a good place to start. Not saying it's easy but it may be a good priority to reinstate.

I would have to agree Annette. Any honest man with or without children should know that raising and taking care of the young ones is a serious job. It's almost non-stop, if you're lucky you'll be able to relax for a few minutes when the children are asleep and even then there are things to do. Bitter, angry, jealous, immature, etc., etc.
