Reagan’s Death Threat: Do the Crime, Do the Time

Neocon talk show host Michael Reagan’s death threat against Mark Dice is not a trivial matter. In fact, it is a punishable offense under California’s Penal Code § 422, which states:
Punishment for (Terrorist) Threats Any person who willfully threatens to commit a crime which will result in death or great bodily injury to another person with the specific intent that the statement made verbally in writing or by means of an electronic communication device is to be taken as a threat even if there is no intent of actually carrying it out which on its face and under the circumstances in which it is made is so unequivocal unconditional immediate and specific as to convey to the person threatened a gravity of purpose and an immediate prospect of execution of the threat and thereby causes that person reasonably to be in sustained fear for his or her own safety or for his or her immediate family’s safety shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed one year or by imprisonment in the state prison.

Both Reagan and Dice reside in California, so prosecuting Reagan for threatening to kill Dice — more specifically, by stating he will provide the bullets to kill Dice — should be a straightforward matter. Of course, since Reagan is a famous celebrity, and a neocon to boot, prosecuting him may not be as easy as it appears. Reagan can afford the best representation and as we all know the legal system is titled in favor of those who can afford good representation. In fact, as O.J. Simpson knows, hiring a good legal team can get you acquitted of murder.
But even if Reagan is not convicted of issuing a death threat by way of an “electronic communication device” (his nationally syndicated radio program), official charges and a trial will go a long way and send a strong message to neocons, who think they are above the law. It will send a message to other neocon radio talk show hosts, for instance the former beatnik and current neocon fascist Michael “Savage” Weiner, who constantly berates and slanders people he disagrees with in the most reprehensible way, although I am not sure if he has ever issued a death threat. Weiner has called for rounding up the opposition and putting them in Guantánamo. Of course, considering Weiner’s personality disorder and his megalomania, convicting Reagan of issuing a death threat would probably only encourage the former beatnik.
Savage, however, was fired from MSNBC for a less serious accusation. He told a caller on his MSNBC show to “get AIDS and die” and “get trichinosis,” a comment that may be considered a racist slur directed against Gentiles (trichinosis is a parasitic disease caused by eating raw or undercooked pork, an obvious reference to Jewish dietary laws; it should be noted that “Savage” is Jewish). After his dismissal, Weiner issued an apology on his radio program and on his website, but this did not moderate his future behavior.
At minimum, Michael Reagan should apologize for threatening to kill Mark Dice, although convicting him under the above penal code would be preferable and set a precedent. However, neocons rarely if ever apologize for their behavior, same as Nazis did not apologize and many went to the gallows unrepentant. Reagan and the neocons indeed believe “traitors” should be executed in fascist brown shirt fashion — in the street by gun-toting thugs, not by the neocons themselves but rather by their demented sycophants who take such pronouncements to heart.
Of course, demanding the murder of one man, exercising his constitutional right to petition the government and declaring his intent to send anti-war and 9/11 truth movement materials to the troops, is a small crime when larger, more portentous crimes committed by the neocons are considered — the murder of well over a million Iraqis, organized and executed by the Bush neocons. Indeed, attacking Iraq and orchestrating mass murder is a Nuremberg scale crime against humanity and the neocons — including Reagan, who has enthusiastically served as a cheerleader for mass murder — should be arrested, put on trial, convicted, and sent to the gallows. In many ways, Reagan is little different than the Nazi hate-monger and propagandist Julius Streicher, who was sent to the gallows for inciting hatred and murder.

It’s a clear cut case, It was bracast nation wide, if he receives an indictment, any layer in the usa is gonna tell him he dosnt have a chance in hell. It may not have been illegal for Reagan to say what he did. First of all, you have to realize that he doesn’t write his own stupid scripts. He is a character created by the media, and they write the script, form the character, and vet what he says for libel and other complications. That being said, I believe the law is written such that Reagan would have to be part of a focused and particular plot that results in death for his free speech to be proscribed. People in the U.S. have a lot of latitude in what they are able to say. Protected free speech. Wake up and smell the coffee. That’s my two cents.

I just went to Reagan’s website and he has Mark Dice on tonight. I hope he doesn’t except an apology from this scumbag. In fact my guess is that Reagan is going to use some kind of mind game and turn this in his favor for his fans. I don’t think Dice should even go on the show. If you actually listen to the recording of the show, not only does reagan say he should be shot, but says he will buy the “BULLET” which singles out Dice in specific. not just some general statement reagan has made in a public arena. Obviously if Dice’s tactics were NOT working then they wouldn’t have pathetic neocons like reagan up in arms making death threats over FCC airwaves.

I agree with Scott that Mark Dice should avoid Reagan’s show tonight like the plague. Dice should immediately file civil and criminal charges against Reagan. Dice must be in “sustained fear” (can’t sleep, can’t eat, keeps a bat by the bed, constantly looking over his shoulder, etc) and file a report with the SD police. Mr. Reagan then will be arrested within a week. The civil suit follows the criminal conviction.
Regarding the elements of the crime of PC 422-
1. A person who willfully threatens to commit a crime which will result in death or great bodily injury to another person.
The principle difference between a criminal threat and stalking is that a criminal threat is truly a crime of words rather than conduct. As such, Section 422 does not require a pattern of conduct: one threat is sufficient. However, the threat must be one of death or great bodily injury against the victim or the victim’s immediate family. However, recent case law indicates that even non-direct threats can be considered criminal threats depending on the surrounding circumstances.
2. The person who made the threat did so with the specific intent that the statement, made verbally, in writing, or by means of an electronic communication device, is to be taken as a threat.
The law does not require that the suspect had the intent to carry out the threat, only that the suspect intended the statement to be taken as a threat. The context and the circumstances under which the statement was uttered are important. The meaning of the threat must be gleaned from the words and all the surrounding circumstances.
3. The threatening statement, on its face and under the circumstances in which it was made, was so unequivocal, unconditional, immediate, and specific as to convey to the person threatened a gravity of purpose and an immediate prospect of execution of the threat.
Although the statute states that the threat must be “unequivocal, unconditional, immediate, and specific,” case law has held that the language of the statute does not mean that the suspect must be standing in front of the victim with a weapon in his or her hand when he or she makes the threat. The courts have held that there does not have to be a showing that the suspect had the immediate ability to carry out the threat, nor does the statute require a time or specific manner of execution. Rather, the statute requires that the words used be of an immediately threatening nature and convey an immediate prospect of execution. The threat may be conveyed either face-to-face to the victim by the suspect or by letter, fax, e-mail, telephone, through third parties, or any other form of communication. Conditional threats are true threats if their context and surrounding circumstances reasonably convey to the victim that the threat is intended.
4. The threatening statement caused the other person reasonably to be in sustained fear for his or her own safety or his or her immediate family’s safety.
Sustained fear is defined as “a period of time that extends beyond what is momentary, fleeting, or transitory.” Fifteen minutes of fear may be more than sufficient to constitute “sustained fear”.
If all the above elements are present but the victim states he or she is not afraid, recent case law provides that an attempted criminal threat may be filed.

i have learned from this incident that i should guard my words carefully and never threaten anyone. i should however take proactive actions to make sure i have secured an ability to defend my own life against mass murderers like bush. i’m considering joining a militant group in case things get ugly. i’m aware though that state militias are legal and can be conscripted by the governor and possibly by the president. i hope though state militias would be aware who the real enemy is if such a call would be necessary.

I loathe Reagan for what he said and, at the very least, he should be dealt with by the FCC. I have telephoned and E-mailed all of the contacts provided on this site and I hope the public outcry reaches a very high level so that action (Imus style) will be taken.
Unfortunately, I do not think the above quoted California law will apply because my understanding is that Reagan did not threaten (personally) to commit a crime.

Jordan Maxwell has been banned from GCN. He is not being allowed on Alex Jones talk show because it is a “Christian” station. Jordan told me this personally on the phone. Alex Jones should be ashamed of himself for not stepping in and making this an issue. Jones owes Maxwell just like we all do.
Jordan Maxwell has been researching for over 45 years, since 1959. He is the godfather of this Illuminati/New World Order research. trying to weasel out of what he actually said by inviting Mark Dice to the show for an apology is about as weak as it gets. I wouldnt go anywhere NEAR that studio for a real fear some wackjob sniper would be parked on a rooftop waiting for the opportunity to do the job Michael Reagan called for. Great, so now, Mark Dice is going on his show! What BS! Reagans ratings were probably dipping so he amps it up a bit, shock the monkeys. Now Dice agrees to go on his show, which will undoubtedly be a high ratings day for Reagan and what does Mark Dice have to gain? Maybe some increased trafiic to his web site? What type of reasonable rational intelligent argument or apology does he expect from this neocon unconscious moron low-life? It will be like fools who go on O’reiily so they can be part of it’s :fair and balanced” philosophy! Mark Dice should not go on Reagans show, he should be filing criminal charges on this piece of trash. Reagans laughing right now thinking what a sap Dice is. By this article, the call for murder was done for only the reason of Mark SAYING HE WAS GOING TO DO THE MAILING. I had thought that Mark had actually started the mailing. So now when we just say a thought, a non violent one no less, we get put on the murder list?!!!

California law sounds pretty strait forward here. And Mr. Reagans threats were overt, concise, clear, broadcasted, and possibly even serious. Notwithstanding, his threats implied an override of due process, and violations of the Constitution. To advocate persecution against those who would express dissenting opinions regarding the war, or other issues, is irresponsible and un Constitutional at best.

Mark Dice will appear on Michael Reagan’s show on Monday and all will be forgiven. So what was the point in Dice even getting upset? At the last minute Dice will accept Reagan’s pathetic apology, Dice will drop any legal action he may be thinking of and as soon as Dice leaves the program Reagan will again begin to bash him. Reagan will walk scot free and Dice will be standing there with egg on his face for accepting a lame apology and not following through with legal action. Alex Jones talks about bring down the NWO via legal action but it isn’t going to happen unless you actually take legal action. Once on the Mike Reagan Show, Mike Reagan was really criticizing Clinton for his lying and denying what happened when he had sex / adultery with Monica. I called in to say that rather than lying like a lawyer to say that he (Clinton) can’t remember when he could indeed remember what happened or to say that it depends on what the meaning of the work is is, that Clinton would have done better to wiggle out of it like another scandal-ridden president in a sticky situation who was being asked about a highly significant event in the Iran-Contra Scandal when instead of answering the question he just responded with another question by asking the reporters a question about a very insignificant matter, “Well! … Can you remember what you had for lunch yesterday?” Ronald Reagan then paused briefly for a response to this unexpected question that he raised. When they were not able to quickly answer the question, he then quickly added, “Well! … You see, that’s just my point! If you can’t remember what you had for lunch yesterday, how do you expect me to remember what something that happened many months ago!?” This was a clever way out of giving an answer – honest or dishonest. Reagan avoided the question completely, even though he had lied to the American people on other occasions about events in Central America and about U.S. government involvement there to help prop up the drug-running Contra hoodlums, death squads, and terrorists. El Salvador was known for the death squads but the Nicaraguan Contras acted the same – with brutality toward combatants and civilians (non-combatants) alike. It is known that terrorists target both combatants and non-combatants, depending on how easy of a target they want to hit. Reagan was also good friends with Iraq’s Sadam Hussein and Sadam’s death squad government who Reagan also supported regardless of the lack of human rights and liberty that characterized Sadam’s rule from beginning to end.
( Both Clinton and Reagan were called the “Great Communicators”. They were both Great evaders of the truth. I think Reagan was a little better at it, making him an even greater “Communicator”. ) A thoughtful person noted that “When Clinton lied, no one died.” You can’t make that statement about Reagan. Reagan supported brutal regimes, drug runners, and terrorists who were worse than any East German border guards whom he preached against, and worse than the British colonial rulers who caused people to revolt and throw them out in order to form a new country – the U.S.A. For a reminder of how brutal the British rulers were in the 1770s, one need only watch the movie, “The Patriot” starring Mel Gibson.
Mike Reagan didn’t want to hear this and I was hung up on when he heard me suggest that his dad, Ronnie, was even better at evading the truth with the example I gave between Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton trying to evade the truth. I suggested that Bill Clinton should have used the same lines that his step dad Ronald Reagan used to evade the truth by asking the reporters what they had for lunch yesterday and then saying that if they can’t remember what they had for lunch yesterday, then how can they expect him to remember something that happened many months ago.
The truth hurts, doesn’t it Mike? It only hurts buffoons and fools who think that a scandal-ridden president like Ronald Reagan (who props up bloody death squads, and drug-running terrorists and tells stupid lies to the American people against all common sense about what was happening in Central America) should somehow be on the Eisenhower Dollar instead of Eisenhower. Eisenhower was the greatest Republican President of the century. He was pretty much a scandal free President who warned us against trusting the likes of the Military-Industrial Complex, not to mention the CIA who misled people into supporting a military dictatorship in Guatemala in a 1954 coup-d’etat. Eisenhower was a great liberator during WWII, and a real military officer – the top commanding officer with five stars, unlike someone who only pretended to be a military officer – a Captain in a movie, “The Santa Fe Trail”. All those blind Ronald Reagan loving fools don’t want to pull their heads out or to wake up and smell the coffee or what ever they would smell after they pull their heads out.
The blind Ronald Reagan loving fools all think their crap don’t stink. Fortunately, they are a real minority.
Might I add another title for the greatest Republican President of the last century, “Supreme Allied Commander”. He had five stars, he wasn’t someone reading a script on how to pretend to be an Army Captain in the movie, “The Sante Fe Trail”. - Anyone who suggests that Ronald Reagan should be depicted on the Eisenhower Dollar instead of Eisenhower or on any coins and paper money or on Mount Rushmore or anywhere of dignity like this is just as drugged up as the Fifth Amendment druggie, Rush Limbaugh and all of his wanna-bees. I always thought that if Limbaugh wasn’t on drugs that he ought to be. It turned out later that Rush Limbaugh was indeed on drugs. Although he earlier said on his show that anyone caught illegally using drugs should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, when he (Limbaugh himself) got caught illegally using drugs, he didn’t throw himself on the exuberance of the court to really give it to him because he’s as guilty as a cat with feathers on its chin and then explain how guilty he was. No, No, No. Instead Limbaugh became the Fifth Amendment Druggie. Did you know that Limbaugh also used to be on the dough – sucking up welfare and leaving his first wife to be the bread winner while he (Limbaugh) refrained from working and aimed instead at getting welfare assistance? This fact is listed in the book, “Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot”. The book was written by Al Franken and it sure caused Rush Limbaugh to go on a frantic crash diet and loose his fat. Rush Limbaugh still hasn’t lost his idiocy and he never will. Now he is just a Big Idiot and not a fat one. Did you know that Limbaugh has lost even more wives than fat? I lost count on which wife he is married to now. I think it is number four or five. Al Franken is still married to his first wife and leads a much better life.
A caller to a night time radio talk show on a big 50,000 watt AM radio station – KSL in Salt Lake City – once said that unlike Clinton, Ronald Reagan was loyal to his wife. To this the radio talk show host asked, “Which wife? – the first wife or the second wife?” He was clearly a level headed talk show host and not some Rush Limbaugh wanna-bee.
