Recession ‘is even worse than feared’: Chancellor predicts steepest slump ever

The Chancellor will forecast the steepest annual slump since modern records began.
But he is likely to put a brave face on the outlook by declaring that Britain has finally returned to growth in the fourth quarter of the year.
Last night Treasury sources indicated that Mr Darling will sharply downgrade his economic predictions in the December 9 statement, forecasting a slump of 4.75 per cent for 2009.

Don’t waste your breath asking Jones to do anything with these forums. They are out of control, Jones knows it, and nothing has been done. I am so fed up I cancelled my prisonplanet.tv renewal, but they don’t care. It may be that Jones is so afraid of being accused of censorship that he allows these opinion forums to ruin his credibility.
I would stop using these forums out of protest, but that wouldn’t get anything done. I am reminding everyone that I took action. I cancelled my prisonplanet.tv membership to get Jones’ attention. It’s that the power grab and the wealth transfer from poor to rich is even greater that the puny minds of some, to believe or grasp.
It’s a situation similar to that when people who lived in villages near death camps in WW2 ‘heard rumors’ but couldn’t bring themselves to believe them… Until they were rounded up at gunpoint and marched out to the camps to witness for themselves.
