Reid ‘Likely’ to Make Entire Health Bill an Amendment to Unrelated Tax Bill That House Passed in March

A senior aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told CNSNews.com that it is “likely” that Reid will use H.R. 1586—a bill passed by the House in March to impose a 90-percent tax on bonuses paid to employees of certain bailed-out financial institutions—as a “shell” for enacting the final version of the Senate’s health care bill, which Reid is responsible for crafting.
Under the procedure, the substance of House Resolution 1586 would be removed and replaced with the entire Senate health care package. The maneuver would initially require the support of 60 senators to vote for cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 1586 (i.e., end debate on the congressional procedure and move forward).
If Reid wins 60 votes, then debate begins on his health care package. Reid could then decide to block all amendments and attempt to get a vote on the entire package.

You know what would help with that idea?
Make all of the elected offices positions that only pay about 100 bucks a day. Then ask who wants to lead the country and handle picking candidates based on that and qualifications.
The positions are supposed to be there for people who CARE about the COUNTRY.. not about their PAYCHECKS.
I’d be perfectly willing to do Obama’s job for 100 bucks a day. And guess what? I’d actually let the people have some friggin say so. No more of this electoral collage BULLSHIT!
It’s the age of technology. As of right now, we can have everyone’s vote count as 1 and that be that. Instead of this, “Well Florida will count for 3 electoral votes and texas 16 and so on.. that’s friggin RETARDED! And anyone who thinks that this is STILL a good idea is retarded as well.
Like I said, I’d take any of the elected positions and then actually get some of the work done based on what the people said. I’d even put a live vote counter up so people could see who was winning on an issue and who was losing. Our second amendment rights were specifically written into the constitution so as to be the check and balance against a government like the one that is riding rough-shod over us now.
The could care less if we kill one another or have hunting accidents. They simply do not want us to have any tools to protect ourselves against tyrants like we have and have had for years.
They know damn well that we do not kill each other and that most of us would only use a weapon against a crook. That is what scares them because they are crooks just as much so as a burgular or rapist that you would shoot if you found them in your home.
We have a long history of responsible gun ownership where as a rule we only shot crooks. That is what scares them. They are afraid we will all wake up at the same time and come after the crooks in D.C.
ALL other checks and balances has failed. They are pushing us to a point where we will have to use the final check and balance.
They all know that ,”town hall meetings could very well turn into town hall trials, prosecutions, and punishments.”
If their lawyer is in D.C. then maybe Ms. Shehan might be appointed to represent the defendand or possibly Mr. Mc elwain that lost his son on (/11 would stand in to defend one of our elected officials at a gun-totin town hall meeting/trial.
If any of them can get a bar-be-que grill to collapse using as much keresene as they want in one hour then they will be found innocent, otherwise they can be tied to the grill and call as many family members as they can while slowly burning to death or be taken to a tall building and only half way burned to death and then jump or wait for help to come while they burn awhile longer and then jump.
I like the idea of town hall trials a lot more than town hall meetings. Are We the People in control or they the masters? A meeting sounds like something we are granted. It is us that grant to them not the other way around.

Here is the reality. The first ones to go up against them would be immediately snuffed out by their bodyguards – if they can get to them to begin with. Most are still asleep, with those of us here very aware. Ok, those that marched on DC a few weeks ago know, but they were wanting a peaceful protest. Untold multitudes still do not know, and “as long as it’s not affecting me, who cares?” The next wave might make an impact, but there will still be a blood bath because the police and military are much better armed than the patriots.

Just a question. I do not like their current national health care plan that they want to enact. However what does someone do who can not work due to being sick, yet can’t get medicaid because the gov. says they aren’t sick and doctors because they can’t “see” what is wrong yet don’t believe you? How do they afford to get well and take care of their bills when they can’t get health insurance?
