| Without an enemy to fight, there would be no justification for a continued U.S. and NATO presence in Afghanistan. There would be no more weapons sales contracts and no more rebuilding contracts for Halliburton. | |
Reports out of the Middle East indicate that U.S. forces gave the green light for the Taliban to attack a government prison in Kandahar this past Friday and stood idly by while Taliban fighters violently freed more than 1000 inmates.
"Experts in regional affairs believe that Taliban militants attacked the Kandahar prison with the green light from US forces," reports Press TV.
"They say it is questionable – how could the militants dare attack the prison with US-led troops stationed just northeast of the jail?"
"The sources also noted that although clashes between Afghan security forces and the militants lasted for several hours, US-led troops did not intervene."
"Ordinary people share the idea, asking how is it possible that hundreds of militants could attack a government prison, detonating more than 800 kilograms of explosives and foreign forces show no reaction."
Why would U.S. forces stand idly by while 600 hundred Taliban fighters were freed?
The report notes that "Afghans are tired of war and that only a few illiterate people, called Taliban, are fighting foreign forces."
Without an enemy to fight, there would be no justification for a continued U.S. and NATO presence in Afghanistan. There would be no more weapons sales contracts and no more rebuilding contracts for Halliburton.
Remember, this miraculous prison break occurred just days before Gordon Brown agreed to send hundreds more British troops into Afghanistan to put the British presence there at an all time high.
The necessity for continued violence in Afghanistan exists just like it does in Iraq, for the pretext of justifying an endless military occupation and the opportunity to build military bases that will be used as launch pads for future wars, as is now being discussed for Iraq.
As we have highlighted in the past, links between Taliban leadership and the U.S. military-industrial complex are documented.
As Seymour Hersh reported in January 2002, at the height of the war in Afghanistan, hundreds of Taliban fighters "accidentally" ended up on U.S. organized special safety corridor airlifts right before the fall of Kunduz.
The Taliban itself was a creation of the CIA having been set up and bankrolled by the U.S. in tandem with Pakistan’s ISI.
“In the 1980s, the CIA provided some $5 billion in military aid for Islamic fundamentalist rebels fighting the Soviet occupation in Afghanistan, but scaled down operations after Moscow pulled out in 1989. However, Selig Harrison of the DC-based Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars recently told a conference in London that the CIA created the Taliban “monster” by providing some $3 billion for the ultra-fundamentalist militia in their 1994-6 drive to power," reported the Times of India.

I can buy it. WHo the hell knows what kind of deals we have to grease the wheels for weapons contracts, energy treaties and power brokering for the military industrial complex.

This seems like a prelude to a confrontation with Pakistan. This would bring the US into a war with the SCO, just as it would if the US attacked Iran.
June 16th, 2008 at 6:59 pm
This one is pretty obvious. Perhaps not in the intent of doing it, but that there is no way the Taliban ( what they call it when afghans try to resist) were not capable of this operation even in theory.
I am alerting my friends and family to this as well as numerous people in the military.
Reminds me of when Al-CIAduh launches successful green zone attacks in Iraq.
It’s almost like they have fu&*^&ing idiots writing these little scripts anymore.

When I first heard about this weekend I was waiting to hear this exact report. It was just so obvious, the attack was too large for the US forces not to intervene that is what gave it away. The sad thing is the majority of the US population will buy this lame story at face value.

It is clear that this attack was allowed to happen. Where were the coalition forces? Did they not hear the bomb blasts and know that the prison was under attack? Are they truly stretched too thin not to be able to adequately protect the prison? Karzai the talking head responded by calling for war with Pakistan.
We have to all understand that the War on Terror has been purposely created with the goal of military domination. To weaken the American Millitary to the point of failure to break their spirits and their morality so that they will be good little soldiers when martial law is enacted and they are brought back home to kill their fellow Americans.

Debunking a war against Iran
By Marwan Bishara, Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst
Related

Bush loses out in Bucharest
Not in the name of democracy
Global hotspots pose new challenges
Give ‘em a state!
The pro-Israeli Washington Institute for Near East Policy (Winep), which long advocated and justified a pre-emptive war against Iraq, has just published a new policy paper by two of its senior researchers, Patrick Clawson and Michael Eisenstadt, this time zeroing in on Iran.
In a nutshell, “The Last Resort, Consequence of Military Action against Iran” weighs the pros and cons of both deterrence and prevention strategies towards the Gulf nation.
The document is filled with academic constructs, sophisticated policy considerations, verbal acrobatics, and qualifying statements carefully brought together to justify the conclusion that going to war against Iran is in America’s best interests.
They do not argue in favour of a pre-emptive war because such a move would require congressional approval.
Rather they opt for “prevention action” even though such a conflict could result in the deaths of thousands of Iranians and Americans.
At the same time, they offer damning analysis of deterrence saying it is impractical, unwise and even a dangerous strategy towards a regime that “could not be deterred”.
The authors question the findings (and the motivation) of last year’s National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) which indicated Iran had halted all secret nuclear weapon programmes in 2003.
Clawson and Eisenstadt contradict the NIE’s conclusions that Tehran formulates policies on a ‘cost-and-benefit’ basis – the precondition for the success of any deterrence.
They warn that the US should not wait for a smoking gun to materialise before taking action and say waiting for clear-cut evidence “may amount to de facto acquiescence in a nuclear-armed Iran”.
The document’s authors try hard to sound like objective analysts by using the think-tank lingo but instead come across as implicitly constructing the case for another disastrous Middle East war – against Iran.
Euphemism of last resort
When the facts are too stubborn, complicated and inconvenient, the authors use third-party alibis to make the case for military attack.
“Some policy makers may be tempted to cut through the complexity of the problem by basing their decisions on a fundamental foreign policy principle of the post 9/11 era: the most dangerous nations cannot be allowed to obtain the most dangerous weapons,” they write in the report.
Congress, the real law-making organ of US governance, is only mentioned as a ‘consultative’ power at the very end of the report, after the authors have explained ad infinitum why the White House must coordinate strategies with Israel.
Congress is afforded the same importance as America’s allies who are to be consulted in case the nation goes to war against Iran.
Furthermore, Clawson and Eisenstadt argue against the “conventional wisdom” that warns a strike against Iran is too risky and short-sighted. Instead, they offer the conclusion that a preventive war is the least costly option if it is executed intelligently and within the right context
In other contexts such warmongering would be condemned and its authors would be put on trial for inciting violence.
“Perhaps this year ”
The authors argue for preventive attacks on
Iranian nuclear sites
Nevertheless, they predict that “… some time soon – perhaps later this year, perhaps within a few years – the time for such a [war] decision may come”.
The two ‘experts’ warn that when the time for war comes, the US military must refrain from limited or prolonged air raids.
In fact, they argue in favour of comprehensive military action (shock and awe) not only against presumed covert nuclear installations, but also against its declared nuclear sites that are located close to populated areas.
The comprehensive attack must also target Iran’s conventional military installations and Revolutionary Guard bases as well as the vulnerable oil installations, most of which are located in open areas close to the Gulf coast in order to deter Iran from ever rebuilding the flattened nuclear sites.
In such a scenario, the civilian death toll would be catastrophic.
According to the authors, the success of the preventive attack is conditional on how US military strategists “mitigate the effect of Iranian retaliation, and set the conditions for successful post-strike diplomacy or military action”.
In other words, how best to negotiate Iran’s conditions for complete surrender.
Containing the spillover
The two war advocates mitigate the possible spillover from such an attack. They pretend to examine all ‘conventional wisdom’ relating to Iranian retaliation – through “terrorist cells” or “special forces” among Shia communities across the region, including Hezbollah in Lebanon – and show it to be minimal.
The authors go on to downplay the effects such a war in Iran would have on its neighbour Iraq, saying Tehran’s influence and interference in Baghdad would come to an end.
On the global front, Clawson and Eisenstadt address the questions of oil shortages, international public outcry and possible attacks on Israel or Jewish targets across the world and find that to be containable if the war is properly executed.
They even suggest public relations strategies to defend and justify the US position in the wake of the Iraq fiasco.
The report event stipulated that if the strikes are comprehensive and deadly enough, they would deny Moscow and Beijing from exploiting a protracted conflict against Iran to their favour.
Déjà-vu
This facility used as part of Iran’s nuclear programme near Isfahan would be targeted in a preventive attack [GALLO/GETTY]
Winep has long been considered to be the research/lobbying arm of the Israeli lobby in the US and therefore wields much influence around Washington. Since it was founded in the mid-1980s by the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac), it has spearheaded the ‘intellectual’ drive to Israelise US foreign policy in the Middle East.
Today, those very same pro-Israeli American ’strategic experts’ that championed the cause of the war against Iraq, are focusing the nation’s energies on the so-called dangers of Iran’s weapons of mass destruction.
In fact, Winep’s influential associates (like Dennis Ross, the former special envoy to the Middle East Peace Process) were earlier this week convincing senior aides to presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama to support the creation of a joint US-Israeli task force on Iran.
The Washington correspondent of the Israeli daily Haaretz reported on June 15 that the new Winep task force initiative was supported by Tony Lake and Susan Rice of the Obama campaign, and Vin Weber and James Woolsey of the McCain camp. He summed it up as follows:
“If you want it in a journalistic headline format, here is one way to do it: Obama, McCain advisors agree: US-Israel should discuss preventive military action against Iran.”
But selective security analyses driven by ideology as the ones cited in the Winep report are no alternative to a deeper understanding of the history and geopolitics of the Middle East region.
If the US does strike Iran by the end of the year, this will prove to be a far worse strategic blunder than the war against Iraq.
The views expressed by the author are not necessarily those of Al Jazeera.

As I have said before, these bastards socalled think-tank shits know that Iran has no nukes, that is why they are advocating an attack. All the justifications are solely for the control of the black-gold. They are not bothered whether millions of civillians and US soldiers will die in the process.
I strongly believed that none of these bastards’s love ones are serving in Iraq or anywhere near it!!
I hope China will wake to the fact that once Iran is under the control of these Bastards, she will be fucked for oil!!

If we attack Iran, who is to say that Russia and China (with whom Iran shares extensive economic ties) won’t use their nukes against us? Together, they have enough nukes to destroy us. Sure, we could decimate them too, but in the end, who would be the real losers? It seems to me that the insane-ites in the white house are trying to bring about the apocalypse on their own. As if God could be pushed to action by human events.

The prophecies of the Hopi state this land will be pretty much be burnt off the face of the earth by man made fire. A Cherokee prophecy speaks of a great war in this land between the Red Snake & White Snake, possibly Russia & China & your Nation. This will also include the Black Snake which may be non-whites who hate whites attacking them or even whites who hate their leaders attacking them, too, in that time.
The people of Native Heritage are not supposed to join in this fight. They are to take to hilly ground. They will be joined by peoples of other races who have woken up. Then the Prophet will return like lightning from East to West for the people.
These prophecies sound much like the prophecies of the Israelites as well as the prophecy of God putting it into the minds of men to burn Mystery Babylon in one hour. There is a high probability your Nation is a Beast Kingdom/Nation, or Mystery Babylon that builds the Globalist system of the Beast.

to KB:
What’s with the “us” versus “them” attitude? It seems that many of the pagans here seem to be on the right side the the issues involving the New World Order issues, so why would you want to banish people like me from the site who are moral and outstanding people just because you and members of your religion disagree with members of mine. Sometimes you have to agree to disagree on certain issues and this is one of them.
The fact is that we are all here for the common cause of fighting the New World Order. Banning people’s comments because they are not a member of the Christian religion is ridiculous. Dividing up our resources into smaller groups based on religion, race, etc will do nothing but serve to fragment the movement we have created and cause each subgroup to quarrel amongst themselves instead of focussing their attention and effort on the important issues at hand.
You can trust me when I say the the Elite are not of any religion we know. They just use religion in general as a way to control us all. To keep us fighting with eachother, to keep us distracted and dumbed down. The kind of religion the Elite want us to follow is one that is prepackaged and delivered to us without thought. The fact is that the Elite have managed to sully almost every religion with their own intentions, not just Judaism, Christianity, Atheism, or Paganism.
We all have to stop the infighting, and start looking out for eachother.

I’m homeless and unemployed and don’t really see what is bad about living in 1984. So I emailed the president….
Dear President,
I repent my dissent.
I don’t mind if you’re implementing the New World Order. I don’t mind that 9/11 was an inside job.
I wouldn’t mind living in a controlled society. I wouldn’t mind if I lived in China so long I would have a job.
I believe in population control.
If you must target me for extermination, then, do so. I don’t care about my life anyways.
However, please know that I am not a dissenter. Please take me off the red and blue lists.

What’s all the fuss about? We were just filming a new episode of Fox TV’s Prison Break.
The CIA pays us pretty well and we get better food and water than that contaminated stuff the US troops get from Halliburton. And, we don’t have to shave like those guys do. Yeh, life is pretty good. At least better than herding goats or fighting Russians (the CIA paid us for that too). Sure beats jihad for real!

“The Taliban itself was a creation of the CIA having been set up and bankrolled by the U.S. in tandem with Pakistan’s ISI.”
In my pictures file I have a photo, which was the cover shot used on an issue of the OC Weekly, a few years ago, back when they used to be a serious investigative journalism newspaper. In this photo is Long Beach, CA congressman, Dana Rohrabacher, in Afghanistan, hunkered down in a confab in the mountains with Taliban leadership. The honorable Rohrabacher is sporting a full beard and local clothing, looking for all the world an Afghan warlord. He was negotiating US arms from Reagan for the Taliban to fight those loathsome Russians. This picture speaks volumes. It can be viewed here:
