Texas Congressman Ron Paul has warned that the amended bailout legislation that passed Congress on Friday is not only far worse than the original bill but is also unconstitutional.
Paul speaking just minutes after leaving the floor of the House on Friday, explained that the tax portion of the bill was written by the Senate, when under the Constitution only the House can originate tax bills.
“That in itself was unconstitutional but it’s been done before and it will be done again.” The Congressman said.
Paul highlighted that the passage of the bill defied logic because it was even worse than the original rejected version:
“It’s amazing, you take a very very bad bill, appropriating $700 billion, you can’t get enough votes to pass it so you take it back out, you make it much worse and take it up to over $800 billion.” Paul commented.
“Today is an even sadder day that on Monday,” Paul stated, “Here today when the special interests got their two cents in, or their $10 million worth of lobbying in, the members switched their vote.”
The Congressman decried the fact that 57 members, mostly so called conservatives, switched their votes on Friday. He urged that those who have destroyed the economy and our freedoms not be allowed to dictate how the system is rebuilt in America.
Paul also compared the economic situation to that of the Soviet Union in 1989, urging that the current economic meltdown stems from empire building foreign policy, and that we are now dealing with the bankruptcy of the United States.
Watch Ron Paul’s reaction to the passage of the bailout:
Earlier in the day Ron Paul had taken the floor in the House to express his opposition to the bailout, stating that it represents an evasion of the real problem and more of the same inflationary practices that have caused the crisis in the first instance.

Of course its unconstitutional, every 3rd grader could tell us that.
But what no-one is talking about is the 250 trillion pound gorilla in the room.

I guess my last blog is being reviewed…for some reason, it won’t go through….hmmmm, wonder why? Is someone sniffing the panties again?
You know its funked up when you can’t even have an idea or express and opinion….I mean, God help us if someone said we are fat. Drop the bomb on em, kid.
God forbid if someone said your ish is funked up…and your policies are funked up. Drop the bomb on em, kid.
If God didn’t want us to speak, instead of dividing our tongues, he would have hit the mute button! Drop the bomb on em, kid.
For those of you who think, my words don’t cost a thing, think again. Your words mean everything! Drop the bomb on em, kid.
If your words weren’t so important, why do they want you to shut the funk up? BOOM!

I’m proud of Ron Paul for speaking out even if it is too late to do anything about this stinking unconstitutional bill. Now, more than ever, I will be keeping as little money as possible in the bank, shopping local business’s, grocery stores, moving sales, yard sales, thrift shops, farmer’s markets, etc. I will also stock up on food, water, medicines, work on getting myself in better shape to defend my home, etc. Screw this USSA Amerika!!!!!!!!!

This bailout is just one more example of the indivisible handjob stroking irresponsible CEOs and CFOs with billions so that they can run the American economy even further into the ground. So much for Keynesian economics. If the goal is to stimulate the economy, why not give the money directly to the American taxpayer? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush administration.
October 6th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
ImJusSayin,
Your comment #12 about Dr. Paul being our hero is an odd one, although merited. Carol, in comment #10, explains it rather well. Yes, your Martin Luther King, Jr. might have been a great hero, and you say that he was because you saw that he did something. I just would like you to open your eyes alittle bit more and look at Dr. Ron Paul, a Congressman who is in the belly of the beast and still comes out here for all of us to hear the truth. He has garnered the inspiration and hearts of millions around the world. Therefore I ask you what is the difference that you see in your Dr. King vs. Dr. Paul? They both had/have inspired the masses. That is really all that almost anyone can do for if you cannot inspire someone and those masses do not follow your righteous ways, then no matter how good any man might be, they would not have meant much at all.
I believe if you expand your vision just alittle bit more, you will see that I just said only the smallest part as to what makes any man great when you think about it. I hope this helped you to both see that and then to allow yourself to appreciate whatever Dr. Ron Paul continues to do for us while realizing and not forgetting what he has already done for us.
Finally, without Dr. Paul, we would not be so great ourselves at this point in time. He brought us to the next step in our intellectual evolution.

I spoke with my Congressman, Rob Bishop on Saturday after he returned from Washington where he voted no on both bail-out bills. He said that I was the second person who had thanked him for his vote and that made the tally 2/2 at that point. Rep. Bishop has always had a good sense of humor. I never saw him smile for the hour he was at breakfast or speaking. Congressman Bishop spoke at the breakfast on energy policy and how we needed to be independent whether through drilling, nuclear or bicycle power. I found myself connecting the dots. Why did so many Congressmen wimp out and pass the bailout and why did the Congressman speak only of the urgent need for self-sufficiency? Is there a link? Is the bailout meant to keep all the foreign governments that loan us money via mortgage-backed securites happy? They get this money from us buying energy and everything else from them and then they use these dollars to buy our assets. (Especially one of our biggest owners – China? ANd what about the arabs who are propping up our banks? Why do all the hotels in Langley Virginia carry AL-Jazeera on their Hotel Cable Systems?) What do you all think? Is this bailout simply an extortion payment to our masters to whom we owe money?

I am glad Ron Paul spoke out against this bill. Hey, everyone, go to Google video and look up Zeitgeist the movie the full, final version and Zeitgeist, II, the movie, watch those and you will see how this coincides right now with everything. I was fascinated and forwarded copies to everyone I could.
Hey, Alex, do ya think we could ever have somebody like Ron Paul run for president? I was hoping he was able to this time, but he didn’t. So, it looks like I will not be voting for the crooks again. I’d rather save my vote.
People hang on, its gonna get shakier from here on out.
The Dow dropped 800 points today. Ouch!
October 6th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
I think Ron Paul’s face at the end says it all. Even he is at a point that he knows nothing will stop them. He’s disgusted, and tired of no one in Congress listening to anyone except their handlers form the Federal Reserve and the lobbyists for the Corporations. They own them now, the Congress no longer works for the people, those days have long been dissolved.
It is time.
October 6th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
So…. I have one question…When do WE THE PEOPLE take OUR country back?
October 6th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
Welcome to what has been a LONG time coming folks: The Judgment of God on a very sinful nation! God is now hitting on America’s NUMBER ONE idol- MAMMON, ie money/wealth/materialism.
“Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to ANY people.” (Proverbs 14:34) America has become a nation FULL of narcicisstic, self-justifying FOOLS! We think we can mock God by living in sin while still claiming the name of Jesus Christ with our mouths. We believe that we are “good people” just because we may not be “as bad” as the devil possessed megalomaniacs known as the New World Order. But SIN IS SIN, and ALL SIN LEADS TO HELL!
PAY DAY is at hand! I have seen this coming for MANY years! And I make no claims to “special insight” of any kind. I just simply believe what THE BIBLE says. This economic meltdown is yet another step paving the way for the kingdom of antichrist! Soon, the world will welcome its “Messiah”, but it won’t be the TRUE Saviour. HE will return soon enough though, but before that, we are going to see the culmination of what John and Daniel foresaw centuries ago.
Satan wants one thing: WORSHIP AS GOD! That has always been his goal, and through the NWO he will see that fulfilled, but only for a short period of time. Because when Jesus Christ comes back to this earth, THAT IS OVER WITH! Until then, we are in for a VERY rough ride. But my trust and faith is in the Lord who made heaven and earth and who “ruleth in the kingdoms of men”, as Daniel tells us. GOD IS IN CONTROL, and He has ALWAYS taken care of His own. This doesn’t exempt them from hard times. In fact, it is we who are saved by Jesus Christ who will suffer MOST with what’s coming. But our suffering will be short lived compared with ETERNITY!
I would only say to all who read this: the most important thing is not your “rights and liberties”, but your ETERNAL DESTINY! Do you KNOW where you’re going when you die? Even if it were possible to stop the NWO, being a “9-11 Truther” doesn’t make you a “good” person. EVERYONE must be saved by Jesus Christ. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) We will ALL one day stand before our Creator to give an account, and if we are found to have broken ONE of the ten commandments ONE TIME in our entire life, we are HELL DESERVING! That’s why we ALL need to be saved, born again, washed in the blood of Jesus Christ and having His righteousness imputed to us by God.
Is this the case with YOU? I hope so! I know I’m ready! I let people know about the NWO, but as a way of pointing out how short the time is. This is BIBLE PROPHESY being fulfilled right before our eyes!
October 6th, 2008 at 3:22 pm

The bailout could have been stoped, only if thousand’s had sacrificed a couple of hours and gone , stood outside congress buidling with NO BAILOUT signs! You see don’t expect to see things change when you are absent from the stage. I’m not sure if people still understand what has happened that day! I bet half of USA still don’t know how important that bail out was!!
October 6th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
Hmm… Yeah, the whole standing in front of the Congress building with signs demanding that we don’t go to war or pass the FISA bill did us so much good!!!
Trust me man, they have enough power that if they want something done, it gets done. They’re more than willing to hear a few hundred thousand angry americans whining if it’ll get them rich.
Trust me, it’s over. We didn’t start caring until it was too late. You either flee the country, take up arms or get on the train.
We keep talking about peaceful resolution, but that’s no longer an option.
They’ve got their boots rubbing our faces in the mud, and we’re trying to “talk things through”.
You can’t negotiate with a blood thirsty beast. Let alone a whole armada of them.
October 6th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
The bail out passed , because the MAIN ACTORES you the people were absent from the stage on that day. I was suprised to see noone even cared to sacrifice couple of hours and run to congress and stay couple of hours outside with a no bail out banner! You shouls have been THOUSANDS on that , outside waiting patiently to show your support to your own NO BAIL vote!
October 6th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
We are at war, and we are loosing. We have not yet regonized who the enimy is. God help us.

Right on Ron Paul one of the few men in public office with integrity , check out the material on mccain on the keating 5 , he has been a major player in the whole economic mess we are in now and he wants to be president , no more !!!!
October 6th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
Those 57 were never really “against” the bill, they just didn’t think they didn’t have enough “protections” and “incentives” for the American people in it, i.e. lots of pointless pork barrel and meaningless, ineffective “safe-guards.”
October 6th, 2008 at 4:20 pm

So let me get this straight, the Secretary of the treasury has god like powers to write checks. Now the President does not need to go to congress to ask for funding for Iraq, or to start a war with Iran.
Vote them ALL out, even the onese that said NO
October 6th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Too bad he is labled a nutcase
October 6th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Hey Rhonda, the reason why i feel the way i do about Ron Paul is because he quit. Plain and simple. Yeah, he may be telling you the real deal, and….he is still alive so apparently he isn’t doing much to hurt them. If he were, he would be dead by now.
Regardless of that, my real thing is this….why do you people (voters) really believe your vote matters and what makes you think the “right” guy in office would make a difference. Look what happened to JFK.
Somehow, someway, time and time again, the american people get duped into believing that their system is better than everyone else’s. Americans have a way of seeing, see our thing works, be like us and yours can work as well. This thought process is where the mistakes happen. Fact is, america is probably one of the most screwed up places on the planet, and unless you’ve lived in other countries you wouldn’t even realize it.
I’ve live in 2 countries and both of them are waaaay better than america. America is a bunch of tight ass, cry babies. All they do is whine and complain and look for someone to get them out of the jam…like they do with Ron Paul. But see, truth is Mr. Paul didn’t hang in there, he quit! Plain and simple. He deemed it better for the movement if he didn’t continue and stayed in office as a congressman.
Tell me, what the hell can a congressman do? Not a damn thing! So, how could he be your hero? Because he tells you about this and that. Well, if you spend enough time, you can go to other websites to get the same information, and more!
Fact of the matter is this, they are all in the game together. They are ALL sleeping with each other and we are not invited to their orgies. They don’t care about you, me or our families. Jesus on the other hand does…So when you talk heroes, He gets my vote.

Bribery and Blackmail rule the Congress of the United States, not the will of the People of the several States of the Union.
After passing this bailout Bill, the markets worldwide are tanking. Recession has been officially declared in France and Denmark.

J.F.K. was assassinated because in the end he was a good guy… But for a long while, he was as much of an arrogant elitist from an upper class family like Bush. Havin’ secret affairs with Monroe and getting his security to do unconstitutional things…. Don’t think J.F.K. was “the right guy”, anyone who steps into the presidential position is almost 99.99% of the time the WRONG GUY. I’m not sayin’… I’m just sayin.

In your comment #49 you mention Dr. Smith of “Lost in Space”. Funny you should say that because about a month or two or so ago, “Will Robinson” (Billy Mumy) was a guest on Coast-to-CoastAM” with George Noory. It was nice to hear the listeners calling in and talking abouit those days.

It just occured to me after wondering many times why these Senators and Crongressmen would roll over on the American people for the paltry sums “contributed to their campaigns”. Let’s face it. In the context of a multi-billion dollar scam a couple of million dollars is nothing to these crooks. Why would the leaders of our country sell us out for a measly couple hundred thousand “contributed to their campaigns?
Then it struck me. I wonder how many of them have off-shore accounts that the bankers and other crooks who lobby our government directly deposit funds into that aren’t reported. All we hear about is the amount that was contributed to a “campaign” when in fact the real money is moved behind the scenes.
Something to think about!
October 6th, 2008 at 6:09 pm
This link http://www.rense.com/general83/fleec.htm is to an article titled “The fleecing of America”. It explains precisely how we’ve been ripped off. One of the new provisions added to the bill is that the bill is exempt from constitutional challenge.
Brothers and sisters. Fellow Americans. These criminals KNEW what they were doing was illegal and they slammed the door in our face so that our voices would not be heard in the judicial branch. We no longer have a voice.
October 6th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
ImJusSayin,
So I see you got back to me in your comment #41. Good. It gives you a chance to say what is on your chest about the good doctor. After reading what you have to say, I can sympathize with you, actually empathize with you. You see, you are not the only person disappointed in WHAT HAPPENED TO Dr. Paul. First off, he was the only candidate who did not go after the presidency on his own. HE DID IT FOR US. We, the people, through the Alex Jones radio show, ASKED Dr. Paul TO RUN FOR US. He did not “quit” as you interpret that term. He ran a good race and he is still continuing. He hit barriers that we all tried to get through or around, but we all failed in going up the same route that we were traveling on. So what? That is how things go. Nothing works out perfectly. Dr. Paul is still around and still doing what he can for us. We must appreciate what he did do, what he did accomplish and what is now being accomplished. Without him we would still be “asleep” as compared to how we are now. What you and so many others accuse Dr. Paul of is really a sign of disappointment, but the disappointment is really not fully all about him….it is ABOUT US. Yes, our own failure was not expected and therefore all we can do is not face up to the reality of it. So what do we do as human beings? We put the blame on someone else!
You mention Jesus. If he is your hero, who is to deny you that feeling and his being in that position? Maybe he had some failures in life also. Ever think of that? Still, he is a hero for what he did accomplish, not fully because of who he is suppose to be. Just being or existing, means that nothing is being accomplished no matter who the person is. So Jesus accomplished enough in his life to be seen as being a hero. Dr. Paul needs to be seen for what he has accomplished also and we must stop blaming him because we failed in getting our goal that could only have been accomplished in an ideal world. Obviously we do not live in such a world. What Dr. Paul gave to us was much more than what he wanted to do to begin with and he did it and still is doing what he can ALL FOR US.
Finally, I emplore you to see Dr. Paul’s life as much from his “shoes” as you can. Even if he does join into “their” “orgies”, so what? That gives him more knowledge to deal with the evil that emits from there. It is not all about him nor all about us as individuals when it comes to our feelings. This is much bigger than any one’s part in this. We must use together whatever is available to us as we see ahead what the next obstacle(s) is/are.
Now I must get back to seeing if I can find a glitch in this blog forum so you might see me around saying who at least my hero is more again.
Rhonda

You must all understand that there is no longer any such thing as an Honest Politician in America, they have all been bought and paid for by the special interests, lobbyists, corporations and foreign countries such as Israel.
This is like having a friend who you claim is honest, but, he is a hired assassin for a politician.
There is no turning back from this point forward. Take out the zillionaires one by one and they all will start squealing like a pig, it’ll be Deliverance all over again. Bacon, I’m craving bacon or maybe a pork chop, I gotta eat a pig NOW! But they gotta have a fat wallet.
October 6th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
Oh, this was illegal in more ways than one… This was specifically designed to fleece the American People, turning us into slaves through the increase of the national debt. If wasn’t for the people, it was for China, the lobbyists, and the ultra rich on Wall Street.
I’ve said it before, I’ve listened to other say it before. The trillion bucks didn’t need to go to the banks because the banks aren’t the ones in trouble. The banks would be fine if those who had mortgages with them could pay those bills. The banks didn’t need the money, the citizens needed that money. If the trillion bucks went out in the form of checks to every American citizen, and we could use that sum of money to pay off our mortgages and/or student loans, car loans, etc, then the banks would be absolutely fine and people could keep ownership of their homes.
Now, with the federal bailout, the banks have just pocketed a sh*tload of money and the people who couldn’t pay their mortgages STILL CAN’T PAY THEM. They are still going to lose their homes. Here’s the deal. There are three levels to the problem:
1) The upper most level, Wall Street.
2) The middle level, the banks that loan to everyone.
3) The lowest level, the people who have to pay mortgages, whether they can or not.
The problems on the lowest level are what caused the problems farther up the ladder. Bailing out the middle level and the upper level didn’t do anything to address the reasons those levels are having problems in the first place.
The bailout CANNOT succeed. But, I believe, that was the plan in the first place. They’ll be back, asking for more money. Mark my words. We haven’t seen the end of this bailout/socialism nonsense.

Ron Paul is a great man, unfortunately he cannot stop the turning of the earth. The frustration we all feel is simply a slow realization that we are not in control. Just like the few rational people who get trampled by the stampeding masses in the crowded theater, so will we also be trampled. History is one long story of injustice. We are no exception.
How will you die? Like a man? Like a coward? Time will tell. I aim to survive, but when the time comes I will die as I have lived. Free.

Zeitgeist Addendum – Nuff said
October 6th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
I wish there was a way, a place, or something that would allow like minded people to assemble and contemplate our future. The problem is, there is so much volitility in peoples emotions how could a person, or group of people, trust those he congregates with?
October 6th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
Get the tar, get the feathers, take one major banker out in the middle of a city and tar & feather his arse. Make em think twice. We all must join or die NOW. After the collapse it’s too late.
October 6th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
Yes, it’s time to make those very tough decisions. Will I stay or try to make a life somewhere else?
And WHERE? Brazil? Europe? Costa Rica? An island in the middle of the ocean? If I stay, it looks
like it will be guerrilla warfare, hiding out in wilderness areas living off the land. It’s cold, (unless
you opt for the Everglades, South Texas or the Baja) or it’s hot and dry. The NWO will be
watching for “Terrorists”, (American citizens who escape their FEMA camps) by satellite and
aircraft. If a group of honest Patriots try to band together for strength they may be discovered
and massacred by foreign mercenaries. You won’t know who your friends are because Feds
will have their own false-flag “militias” they will use to fake attack law enforcement; thereby
justifying them killing even more civilians. Those are our choices if we don’t go easy to certain
death in the camps. We have just about decided to stick it out until the bitter end; fight the
NeoNazis guerrilla style and only if there is no chance whatever of survival, say if they let
off some deadly gas or bio-weapons, will we finally use plan B. That will be sailing away for
God- knows- where. This isn’t a play, folks. These are REAL decisions ALL of us MUST make
in the next weeks and months before the whole thing collapses. There are millions of us,
but from what I see 90% of American males would be happy to be fed gruel in the camps.
GOD HELP OUR BLOOD-BOUGHT FREE AMERICAN REPUBLIC!
October 6th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
How did Ron Paul quit? He lost the primary for the Republican nomination, plain and simple. What more could he have done? Now if you wish to say he should have went and ran as a third party nomination, then fine, say that. But he didn’t quit anything. He fought and he lost. He never quit anything. We aren’t looking for a king or a savior on Ron Paul. Just someone that can help us decetntralise power a little bit more…
October 6th, 2008 at 8:38 pm
I’d like to point out that we need more people like Ron Paul. Of course they are coming. Alex has them on his show all the time. So before you just get mad and say “It’s over”, learn more than you know now and start telling other people.
October 6th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
I am writing him in with a sharpie all over the others names…it’s just a thought, to see if maybe other people might do the same and on an election night…maybe, just maybe we could prove the system can still work for us. cause I think really if you punch for Twiddle D or Twiddle Dum.THAT would be a vote wasted.
Sharpie+Ron Paul= starting to right the wrongs

i am glad is all crashing down around the riches heads

We outnumber the NWO millions to one.
Let’s not forget that.

Just because they can pass laws that aren’t constitutional doesn’t mean that they then become constitutional.

Anonymous Absoloution, I second you on the Zeitgeist Addendum having the whole thing dialed in.

C’mon, use your heads. Stop paying your mortgage, your car loan, your credit cards… Say it with me… CREDIT BOMB! Yeah, millions of us saying “No More” – and literally by doing “nothing”. Oh yeah, I got yer bail-out swinging pal!
October 6th, 2008 at 11:34 pm
If people can’t get up soon and stop this Fed s---, then the Bible is right. These “owners” will get their way and have their cashless society control chip…..but only for a little time.

Ron Paul has been right on everything, the only thing is that he is not aggressive enough. I think he is smart though, because if you over play your card you will get knock out. He’s playing his hand accordingly. Such a smart man.

i am an american living abroad. last october, when i visited home, i also thought it felt like the soviet union pre-imminent-collapse.
reading ron paul saying the same thing gave me chills.
my wife is an ex-soviet, and the stories of what happened to her family after the collapse is enough to almost make me cry.

Dear Huck:
You can bet your bottom dollar that the purges willl begin. Why should the Illuminati feed gruel to a fat-belled, retarded coach patato, when they can just kill him?
October 7th, 2008 at 6:47 am
Is there not one single person in Washington D.C. who will take criminal complaints to a Grand Jury against the Senators who originated and voted in favor of this unconstitutional, fraudulent governmental record?
It defies their oath to “preserve, protect, and defend” the Constitution and thus, they are committing a fraudulent perjury, by originating a tax bill in the Senate of the U.S., and any moron who has ever bothered to read the Articles knows it.
Have we all simply gone mad, to allow 100 governmental employess to initiate the biggest fraudulent crime in the history of our nation? All law enforcment officers take an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and of their particular state. Thus, any sp-called legislative immunity does not apply, since that doctrine is reserved only for LEGITIMATE legislative acts by a public servant.
Perjury and falsification of records, is by no stretch of the imagination, a “legitimate” act on their part.

I am having such a hard time forgiving Ron Paul for saying on the national television debate when asked if he thought that 911 was an inside job as he said “”I don’t think that!!”" That was such a cowardly move and response that I have dismissed everything that he has b een saying since 9 months or so ago!! I thought that this was the ultimate betrayal of our cause!! I THINK OF HIM AS A TRAITOR TO THE 911 TRUTH MOVEMENT!! AND RON PAUL IS A WORTHLESS PATRIOT IN MY EYES!! I WOULD TAKE JESSE VENTURA OVER HIM ANYTIME!! HE REMINDS ME OF HALF A MAN!!

POST TEXAS TRUTH TELLER, PREACH IT BROTHER! Souls need to be saved in Christ now more than ever.. I pray for them all here

Thank you, Congressman Paul!!
Keep on helping us spread the word. The sooner that we help the majority of our fellow Americans that “our” government is a gang of ruthless, greedy and irresponsible criminals, the sooner we can move to restore the Constitution–or even the Articles of Confederation–establish the sovereign State governments along strongly Libertarian and Misesian principles, and once again have an America we can call our own,and be proud of.
The tragedy is that many innocent Americans will have to go through great hardships before the second “evil empire” comes tumbling down, and those gangsters and bankers (as if there was a difference) receive what they have coming to them.
You are one voice, Dr. Paul. But think of what the sunlight through one open window can do to an airless, dark, and dank room!
PEACE AND FREEDOM!!
David K. Meller
