Texas Congressman Ron Paul has blasted former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan, calling him “intellectually arrogant” after he blamed free market capitalism for the current financial crisis and diverted questions away from his own actions.
“I think he’s trying to save his place in history but I don’t think he’s going to achieve it unless he confesses and goes back to his roots and goes back to writing articles for Ayn Rand.” Paul told Neil Cavuto on Fox Business yesterday evening.
“There’s no way he’s going to escape the blame for this, I guess I am shocked also that he pretends he is shocked too.” Paul, a member of the House Committee on Financial Services, commented.
Greenspan yesterday described the current financial crisis as a “once-in-a-century credit tsunami” and blamed flaws in the workings of the free-market system, something he said had left him in a “state of shocked disbelief”.
“What I really resent about it is that he knows and understood at one time what capitalism was all about. He went and distorted it,” Ron Paul urged.
“Now he says ‘this is the death of capitalism and what we need now are really really good regulations on derivatives.’ No, we need to remove the system that creates derivatives.”
Paul asserted that the Federal Reserve chairman, whoever it may be, does not have the wisdom to regulate monetary policy because they are driven to excess and are part of an inherently flawed system.
“In a way they are intellectually arrogant because they believe that only they know what the market knows. Nobody knows what the proper rate of interest is, it’s always too high or too low.” Paul said

With pleasure, I voted for Ron Paul this week in early elections. I also voted for him in ‘88. He was my comgressman in Texas for a while.
I also voted against all incumbants on the ticket and voted against all bonds.
I feel better, even though I know the elections are not ‘real’.
I’m always happy knowing there is an honest choice, and that people by in large are just too stupid. We get what we deserve. Time to move back to the ranch.

I’m personally tired of the aristocracy shoving this theory of “Capitalism failing the economy” as some kind of reality. Bush put the nail in the economic coffin with his own support of these GSE’s that are nothing but FAILED GOVERNMENT SOCIAL PROGRAMS. The coming 10 year depression was always coming–due to the slowing velocity of input to the markets. Slowing because of gas prices sucking down our disposable income and because baby boomers slowing their spending and investments. It seems that none of these fools can see past their snotty, greed filled noses long enough to tell the truth.
I would also say that it’s silly to assume that there is more than one economy failing here. The rest of world’s economies are NOTHING compared to the U.S. economic machine. Don’t be fooled. As we go–so the world goes. Yes they hate us–but they are greedy bastards just like “we” are. So they will suffer the same fate. If you think it won’t get worse–WAKE UP! This is just the beginning. There is only one question you need to ask yourself: Are you ready to worship the beast?

Any laws that violate fully automatic weapons can be easily challenged and won in court because the military, SWAT and Blackwater are permitted to carry fully automatic weapons on American civilian streets. This is without question…. If they are permitted to carry automatic weapons on our streets then so are “We the People” So don’t fear carrying automatic weapons because a jury of American citizens would agree that you can’t allow some to carry full automatic weapons and innocent civilians not, it would be discrimination, unfair and not equal. According to our Constitution how could “We the People” change our government if it is corrupt and acts against the will of “We the People” (like it does now) if we are out gunned or are at a disadvantage with respects to weapons. Clearly the side that has fully automatic weapons would have a much greater advantage. I don’t care what current unfair laws states, the American civilian jury will see it our way regardless!!!…………………………………….

He trashed Ron Paul every time he had a chance when Paul was still in the running for the republican nomination, and to a degree, he played a part in Ron Pauls eventual withdrawal. Now that Ron Paul is out of the way for president, he warms up to him every chance he gets.

It was pretty obvious from the beginning when Ron Paul lost the primaries they would now ask him for his professional advice of which by the way all he said during the debates and before has and is coming true. People that write long comments need to start using paragraphs. I pass over and do not even attempt to read any comments that are more than 4 lines with no paragraph spaces. No matter how good your statement may be I will just go to the next comment. Learn to write the correct way.
Same goes for any religious statements. As soon as you start quoting scripture, you lost me as a reader. I do not care if you are religious or not, try to write comments that would appeal to everyone or else you are just talking to a percentage of the people reading, instead of everyone.
Just my thoughts. I am sure I am not alone on this one.

I hate to break it to you guys but Alan Greenspan isn’t a jew (at least a practicing one). He’s into Objectivism, hence the Ayn Rand comment. Not to mention Ron Paul is also an Ayn Rand fan as well.
BUT,
I don’t think you can believe in Objectivism and believe in god. Wouldn’t that go against the whole theoretic system in the first place.
Anyways I don’t think I could defend Alan Greenspan anymore then that without losing my dinner all over my computer screen so I guess that’s it for now.
Oh and Ron Paul hasn’t changed his opinion in twenty years, he said this was going to happen as early as 88′. He also would save us billions of dollars if we just listen to him back then and not waste our money on the war on drugs, and government agencies such as the CIA, and the free trade debacle.
He has been right on so many things that I forgive him for being a godless heathan!

As a British Ron Paul fan, I was in despair that he dropped out as really, I hoped he would bring the US to it’s senses. But after chatting on other sites, I have come to realize the depths of much of the US’s ignorance. You people on Infowars give me hope for the future, keep up the awsome work! One American I was chatting with said about Ron Paul, “he is completely unelectable over here so why don’t you take him?” I only wish we could.
Maybe someone can explain the “write-in” option I’ve heard of in the US Elections, and does that mean that theoretically, someone like Dr Paul could still get in? Just want to know that the unlikely dream is still alive!

ingolstadtsucks #62, #63 – Completely correct. A lot of the people on Infowars, Youtube and other sites/forums are completely missing any kind of objective reasoning as this is obscured through elements of behavioural or tribal conditioning. It’s rationality we need now.
Religion shouldn’t even be part of the debate, and yes, Ron Paul observes the separation of Church and State, which I greatly admire. Deal with your loss of Freedoms and Rites first which unite us as humans and know that this is the only way to change things.
Another thing, the pen is mightier than the sword, and so is a bull-horn. Get out there and shout, scream, rally and educate.

im votin for chuck baldwin, only one thing bugs me about him, he’s a former evangelical minister and i mean i grew up prolife and all, but it’s not up to the Federal Government to decide abortions it’s the people and an issus of states rights. in my opinion. anyhow, take away votes from mccain and obama vote third party, please, lol.

This Post might be off topic, but it concerns the massive theft going on right now of your
wealth, via the bank Bailout. Consider these ideas:
I lived in California from 2003 to mid 2005. I was amazed at how high real estate was getting. For example, a small nice home in Austin might go for between, say $100,000 to $150,000, whereas in California it would be from $400,000 to $700,000. And if it were in a more desirable area, even more, of the order $900,000 and up.
I would deal with the general public, there, and found out that they were not generally very rich, yet loans were offered with terms such as zero down, and very low [to start] teaser interest rates. I knew that this real estate bubble was a house of cards
I thought to myself how can all these professional bankers be this stupid, loaning money that they will probably never get back? Why would they do this? This was only answered later, that I will reveal here, down below.
To recap, I knew that the California Real Estate Market was a house of cards, that as soon as Interest Rates rose significantly, and other costs rose, then this house of cards would tumble.
[Note: A Put option is a contract that allows one to sell 100 shares of stock for a specified strike price, for a given period of time. For example, on the stock of the Airline Builder Boeing, trading at say $100 per share, a December 2008 Put Option with a $100 strike price might be trading at $4 {this is quoted on a per share basis} or $400 for one contract that gives you the right to sell 100 shares of Boeing for $100 dollars per share from now {October 28 to December 20, 2008} until expiration. If in a month or so the Shares plunge to $80 per share on Boeing, then this put option would be worth about $2,300 [Intrinsically it is worth $2,000 [100-80]*100 Shares, the additional value is time value.
In the [b]James Bond Movie “Casino Royale”[/b] 2006, Mr. Evil Le Cheffe {It means Cypher, or is it Lou-Cypher (Lucifer?). Is this a hint back to the Satanic Elite, or the rigged Casino for the Royals?}receives $100 Million Dollars Cash from some Africans for the purchase of weapons. Le Cheffe takes the money, and instead of first buying the weapons for the Africans, he buys $100 Million Dollars of Put options in an Airplane Manufacterer. From the movie, it seems that he buys the short term contracts that are out of the money, so he gets more “Bang for the Buck,” if the Stock were trading at,say $120 per share, and he buys contracts good for one month with a $100 strike price, these would sell for probably $25 per contract. His $100 Million would buy 4 million contracts. These contracts will expire worthless, if in the next 30 days the Company never trades below $100 [the Strike price] per share. Mr. Evil Le Cheffe, in the Movie plans to cause this stock to plunge. He sends his agent to destroy their New Prototype JetPlane, this would send the stock plunging, from $120 to maybe $80 per share or lower. Mr. Le Cheffe’s 4 million puts [that he bought for $25 each] would be worth $2,000 {[100 Strike Price-80 Stock Price]*100 Shares} per contract, or $8 Billion Dollars!!! We know James Bond stops him, but the movie sets the scheme for what is happening now with all the bad mortgage loans. Create massive quantities of bad Mortgage Loans, have compromised rating agenies rate them as triple A [were the raters photographed with the DC Madame's hookers, and blackmailed in doing what the elite needed doing? Is this one reason why Deborah Jeane Palfrey was killed, since too many of these threads would reveal this scheme?], bundle them and sell them off to unsuspecting fools [Merrill {got}Lynch{ed}] and other banks, and buy Credit Default Swaps on all this Garbage. The timer has been set for this junk to explode and the Swaps to go from $20 each to $1,000 each. Trillions will be needed to pay off the lucky [they created their own disaster like Le Cheffe wanted to do] holders of the swaps. The new Billionaires created out of this created disaster need to be brought to justice. Who are the owners of the Credit Default Swaps?
As this manufactured crisis grew Treasury Secretary Paulsen pleaded for his $700 Billion Bailout. When Congress voted no, the stock market, curiously plunged -777.68 points down DJIA. This would scare the Senate into passing it and Congress later. When you go to a Casino and hit the Jackpot you get “7″ s or 7,7,7; but remember there was one more “7″, the $700 Billion Bailout. This is another example of the market being rigged, with codes for those in the know. One year after 9.11.01 on 9.11.02 the S&P 500 closed at 911; was this another one of their codes revealing an elite connection?

There is nobody more ARROGANT than Ron Paul himself.
It takes great arrogance to run for president, suck up all the money, time and talent of all the young families and patriots who were giving their all to save the country, to quit in the middle and go running off with the money and use it to run for Congress.
Then, did he have the decency to at least point us to one of any of the other four candidates to throw our support to? No.
We are left with 100 Years War McCain and Let’s Start War with Russia and China Obama.

“Just the Truth”, you sound like you seriously need to take a few hours of yoga. To say that someones physical appearance puts you in a rage….(anger therapy, my friend). In any case, if you could read past your anger, you might find out that Paul actually endorsed Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party (so I guess his decency is restored). It seems strange how the only person running that really understands how the economy works and speaking up for individual freedoms when he knows good and well that the public and media, with their “crucify the dissenter” attitudes often reminiscent of Big Brother (1984), is the guy that you are so thoroughly against. You obviously arent for obama or McCain (which I applaud), if you really want to vote for someone with merit (that is still running), Chuck Baldwin or Bob Barr.
