Ron Paul: I hear members of Congress saying “if we could only nuke Iran”

Congressman Ron Paul has warned millions of radio listeners that the US is heading into a deadly confrontation with Iran, revealing his disbelief at members of Congress who have openly voiced support for a pre-emptive nuclear strike on the country.
“If we do (attack) it is going to be a disaster,” the Congressman told the Alex Jones show this Thursday.
“I was astounded to see on one of the networks the other day that the debate was not are we going to attack? but are we going to attack before or after the election?” Paul continued.
The Congressman recently voiced his concern over House Congressional Resolution 362 which he has dubbed a ‘Virtual Iran War Resolution’.
“If that comes up it is demanding that the President put on an absolute blockade of the entire country of Iran, and punish any country or any business group around the world if they trade with Iran.” Paul told listeners.

Experts have predicted gas will rise to $6 per gallon if the resolution passes, Paul believes that may happen anyway just by anticipation.
“The frightening thing is they say they are taking no options off the table, even nuclear first strike.” The Congressman stated.
Paul believes from talking with his contacts in and around Congress that a strike on Iran has already been green lighted.
“That is my sense because the Democratic leadership in the House are proposing no resistance whatsoever, we saw this when a supplemental bill came up and the President asked for $107 billion for the war, the Democrat leadership gave them $162 billion.
It is still totally bewildering to me when I see men and women in the Congress that I know and like doing this just to get along. Most of them will say “I agree with you on all you say but the Iranians are bad people and they might attack us some day… I hear members of Congress saying ‘if we could only nuke them’.”
Ron Paul also spoke in detail about his new Campaign For Liberty Group and his views on the upcoming election.

bob – post 5 – i don’t believe what you just said , dude . a pre-emptive nuclear strike is not off the table and your talking about gas prices ?!?! dude , i know how important the price of gas /petrol is . and if you think it’s high in the u.s. then try coming to the u.k. . and i know the knock on effect it has on all facets of modern life . but we are facing the possibility of the first strike casualties being , potentially , in hundreds of thousands , if not millions . and let’s face it , it won’t end there . the potential nightmare is only limited by how many nukes there are and who’s prepared to use them . the second i hear that iran has been nuked , i will take my family to the most remote spot i can find and start praying . you see , in the u.s. , you can get yourself a long way from major cities , military installations and industry . thats a pretty tough thing to do where i am . i live 15 miles away from london . you can find it on a map of britain . it’s the one with the big fucking ‘x’ on it .

The majority of our population is so hopeless, most don’t listen to Ron, or just disregard what he says. He gets labeled as a conspiracy theorist, and gets shit on when all he’s trying to do is save us from ourselves. If he doesn’t succeed at swaying more of congress before this gets passed, things are going to get ugly for everyone who doesn’t live on the hill. I can tie his name to anything in a random conversation. Gas prices, the economy, “hard times”, etc.
Remind people that Ron Paul was NOT ALLOWED to debate at the Jan. 6th convention. Most, if not all major news networks don’t cover anything Dr. Paul says. They don’t go as far as dismissing his rhetoric, they just dismiss him all together.

…and this is the real clincher…
They sold Americans all those lemons (plus a few others) with slick PR and media ownership. When the ‘next big thing’ is manufactured all those politicians are going to put the final nail in what’s left of America and hide behind this war with the false promise that the only way out of the mess THEY created and WE let happen is for the American people to get ‘behind’ the war with them.

Why can’t people who love this country come together for the cause of investigating their representatives ? If they (the Congress and Senate) all had a part in the destruction of Iraq and trashed our Consitituion, then they should feel the rath of the people through the implimentation of the Constitution. It is still the supreme law of the land and the traitors should judged by it in a court of law. That is one of the culprits right there. We do not have any “Sting” when someone’s ideas run contrary to the Constitution. The Founding Fathers made that document along with the Bill of Rights for our benefit and to protect our freedom. It is up to us as a people to inforce it IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES. Just remember, those Congressmen and Senators must come home and when they do, they should face whatever charges are appropriate. Only the people can do that. Not politicians.

the truth is out, it’s now just a matter of time for it to spread. meanwhile i hope and pray that the planned attack on Iran is not committed, even though the Iranian president is a total sicopath that in no way justifies committing mass murder on innocent civilians in a nation on the other side of the planet. that such a thing is even considered after all the disasters of Afghanistan and Iraq just shows how dumbed down a huge segment of the public is. it seem one of the main things stopping people believing in government complicity in some of these black ops, is that they could never do such evil. well one only has to look to history to see that they actually do these kind of things all the time and have done for a long long time. it’s just disgusting to see that this will be allowed by congress and senate without so much as a peep in opposition despite the tragedies caused already by these illegal wars. if that doesn’t show people that they don’t care about human life, what will? how evil do you have to be, to consider a preemptive nuclear attack? it’s mass murder nothing less, it’s also an international crime against humanity.

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That Congress–
(1) declares that preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapons capability, through all appropriate economic, political, and diplomatic means, is vital to the national security interests of the United States and must be dealt with urgently;
(2) urges the President, in the strongest of terms, to immediately use his existing authority to impose sanctions on–
(A) the Central Bank of Iran and any other Iranian bank engaged in proliferation activities or the support of terrorist groups;
(B) international banks which continue to conduct financial transactions with proscribed Iranian banks;
(C) energy companies that have invested $20,000,000 or more in the Iranian petroleum or natural gas sector in any given year since the enactment of the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996; and
(D) all companies which continue to do business with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps;
(3) demands that the President initiate an international effort to immediately and dramatically increase the economic, political, and diplomatic pressure on Iran to verifiably suspend its nuclear enrichment activities by, inter alia, prohibiting the export to Iran of all refined petroleum products; imposing stringent inspection requirements on all persons, vehicles, ships, planes, trains, and cargo entering or departing Iran; and prohibiting the international movement of all Iranian officials not involved in negotiating the suspension of Iran’s nuclear program; and
(4) urges the President to lead a sustained, serious, and forceful effort at regional diplomacy to support the legitimate governments in the region against Iranian efforts to destabilize them, to reassure our friends and allies that the United States supports them in their resistance to Iranian efforts at hegemony, and to make clear to the Government of Iran that the United States will protect America’s vital national security interests in the Middle East.
THIS is like a bad recurring nightmare. Although, anyone who has studied military history, strategy, tactics, will have seen long ago that the entire operation as planned originally in the mid-’90s involved taking Iraq first, then using that country to establish a huge build up of forces on numerous large bases. Then it was ALWAYS intended to hit Iran next, and from there, Syria. This was a 3-country Blitzkreig thought up by the think tanks in the ’90s who saw an opportunity to take control of world commodities and get a stranglehold on Persian oil, control the markets and kick the Saudis in the balls, put the Russians back to the rear of the bus again, and get a death grip on China’s runaway industrialization by choking off their Iranian oil supply.
They’ve borrowed trillions, stolen every reserve fund in the US Treasury, printed money ’til the press wore out, and exhausted our military and scrapped billions in equipment and killed thousands upon thousands in pursuit of this single goal. Everything they have done or tried to do in this operation has failed miserably and resulted in making a bad world situation worse. All these lame reasons given for gas and oil prices..please. This is what it looks like when you set out to conquer a big part of the world and LOSE. Your currency collapses from “no confidence”, you become the isolated shunned Nazis you deserve to be, and runaway hyper-inflation destroys your entire economy and throws you into a depression. We have LOST.
Most frightening of all is this House Resolution. It proves that these lunatics still think the operation can continue on to Iran in spite of being out of soldiers, out of ammo, out of money, and out of time. I fear what they might try in total desperation now that it’s obvious they will all be shown the door in November, because they never ever once considered the possibility of defeat. 8 years, trillions in debt, possibly hundreds of thousands dead, thousands tortured, and the destruction of New York’s financial and governmental center and the huge list of heinous crimes later, don’t you think panic has about set in with these people? Don’t you think they know that failure might put a noose around all their necks? What do you think they would stop at to prevent that? What would they do to pull victory from the jaws of certain defeat and save their own asses? I think nothing. I think they’ll stop at nothing.
Iran will be attacked, unless people of concience in this fallen Nation rise up and finally say “NO MORE”.

yeah the voting system is corrupted, even if the choice wasn’t between the fire and the frying pan, it still wouldn’t matter as the electronic vote manipulation machines are being used all over the US. just to be clear, closed source code and no paper trail insures that any manipulations never come to light. so until you go back to giving folks a receipt on their vote and actually counting those slips, no election can be honest or even valid for that mater.

Hitler was more of a psychopath than a Fascist and frankly he gave Fascism a bad name. As a result we are condemned today if we call our current government “Fascist”. “How dare we compare Bush to Hitler?” folks will say.
Instead, think more along the lines of Mussolini and his brand of Fascism. In fact Mussolini invented the term. The original Fascism was a merger of state and corporate interests – which quite accurately describes the US today.

What he says at the tail end of the third video about the evangelicals pushing for this war is what bothers me most.
It’s rarely spoken of so plainly and I couldn’t agree more with him. It has been plain to me over the past 15 years that all anyone has to do in this country is get a grasp of “church speak” and evangelicals are all over supporting them. I was sickened eight years ago by the Bush worshipers in the church….and by the quality of just assuming that if you are a christian then you must be so happy that Bush is in office.
Bush, these wars, the horror of watching christians promote war, and the steadfast refusal of evangelicals to turns their eyes from reality sickens me and made me completely re-evaluate my own spirituality.
It is quite obvious to me that this is the same “spirit” of selfish blindness that allowed “christians” to own slaves, go on crusades, believe that God is behind the terrorizing of Palestine.
I for one want to stand and say that as a follower of Jesus I reject this version of christianity. By their fruits you will know them. I do not call a person a brother who would condone the murder of millions while he safely sits on his cushy couch, eating chips, watching football, attending prayer meetings while refusing to see the absolute hell he causes in his apathy 1,000’s of miles away.
I actually had a evangelical friend of mine say that “as I mature in Christ” I will realize why this all has to happen!!!!!! I told her that I doubted she’d have a chance in hell of ‘witnessing’ to a family who father they conded murdering, whose homes they condoned bulldozing, whose

Your comment #111 has all the future information in it. You are so correct, but even Alex Jones has not gone that one extra step you just did. I realized it the day it was said, that being the part of the Constitution just being a piece of paper. Around the same time, he made that “joke” about dictatorship being all right as long as he is the dictator. Although there are moments when a person will deviate from how they are, it generally goes to say that a person will mention their “clarifier” before doing virtually anything that is important and needs to be done openly. Since our “lovely” leader has already said that our Constitution is nothing but a piece of paper and he therefore can do anything he wants disregarding it entirely, then he also was saying that there is no reason for him to give up the office upon following the Constitutional presidential election putting someone else in his place, especially since if he were to leave, he could be arrested and who knows where he would wind up after that.
The problem is not fully him, though. The problem is our Congress that has allowed it to get this far. The question is whether or not his defiance to leave office will ignite enough of the people to finally wakeup enough to realize that he has claimed dictatorialship. My opinion? The answer is no. I say that because just in this website’s forum and the articles written in it, people seem to worry about him instituting Marshall Law to stop the election. Oh? Why worry about that or better said….why even acknowledge it if it is obvious that he might do it or try to do it unless you (plural) already have accepted that fate? I would expect all people to “JUST SAY NO!” Yet, as Alex Jones says, they are conditioning us to accept his ways and of course since he already has said that the Constitution means nothing, then we have already accepted his obvious tyranny.
No, since they have the guns, the big guns, such as tanks and all the modern technology, then the only hope is that when it comes to the presidential turnover time that even if he claims Marshall Law, that there will be enough leaders, mainly in the military, who will turn those guns on him and finally put a stop to this insanity even if others under him desire to follow him to what they believe to be a power forever, like all other dictators managed to do and get throughout history. What are we going to do otherwise? If we might do something then, I believe that we would have done it already while “they”, who are the internal enemy, were weaker.
At least you have noticed and said it the way we have already been told our future is going to be. Congratulations. Does anyone really think that our president elect will put up an argument at the time? If so, it will probably be for fluff appearance purposes. If that person is serious in complaining about our dictator not relieving power, then that person should expect to be either under “house arrest” or murdered. No matter, the people will not do anything about it nor could they.
One other thing that no one talks about to verify this reluctance to leave when the time comes. Everyone seems to forget what was happening in New York City on September 11, 2001 (Tuesday). If anyone can realize what was happening officially that day, then stimulate their forgetfful minds to remember what happened during the two previous years leading up to that day, one year prior in particular….then remember what happened officially politically during the next few months, there just might be some realization of the overall big plan that will show the next time around coming up is finally going to be achieved. I will bet that in Alex Jones did not even put that into his new movie that I am planning on seeing eventually. I have sent him the information multiple times and it is key to what I understand his newest movie is all about. If Alex only would have acknowledged what was happening on 9/11, it would have made your own realization in your post so clear to see as well as giving some stronger indication(s) as to what 9/11 contained. I cannot mention it here. Since ones like Alex will not say it, then I must leave it up to openminded people like you to put those dots together and come up with another “conspiracy theory” where the facts have never been able to be disputed no matter who I have given those facts to.

Have you ever been to a third world country? I have been and usually the governments are corrupt, but the majority of the everyday common people living there are kind and loving people. They are pitiful and living in poverty, and they usually speak very positively of America. They dream of one day visiting America. They don’t want to fight Americans. The people I have met in these type of countries are doing all they can to try to get out of their countries because they realize that their leaders are cruel, corrupt, and wicked. They don’t want their children growing up in poverty and misery under these dishonest authorities. Why would we bomb, or even speak of bombing, innocent civilians who don’t want or deserve to die at the hands of Americans?

Well here we are waiting until something happens and bitching bout it. So is everyone going to wait until things get much worse and they can’t afford to remove themselves from the vast country and rural areas of the US, to get to an area where they can protest and voice their opinion openly and in public. Drug addicts in the 60’s had more balls. I am not excluding myself, but I have just begun doing internet research and honestly had no idea it was this bad until quite recently.
9/11 was an inside job and now we are going to start more wars over oil andthe right to consume the most of it. Just so corporations and politicians can get even more wealthy. There are many things people could do w/o having to march on Washington. One of them being changing daily lifestyle and the mass amounts of consumption we are doing for convenience.A home garden for produce, making bread, so many things do not have to be massed produced and could be made at home. We pay for convenience with more than money. Reources, giving power to corporations is our hard earned dollar.
When we buy things such as processed foods we are giving corp power. Corporations fund the lobbyists. I don’t see anyone protesting in any means. In the US the best way to protest would be for everyone to not drive for one or two days at the least. Of course this will not happen. But if the American people decided to stop consumption of certain targeted products/services even for one day to a week it would be felt. It would make a much bigger point than anything else. Most people equate consumption and the right to consume with freedom here. Single serving everything. hummers and SUV’s are actually still being bought. I could go on but I won’t. Nuking Iran, invading iraq, our massive debt as a country, it is all tied to people being pacified by their right to consume and every little convenience imaginable. Corporations and Politicians know this and they use it.

#122 David, I for one am not talking about Jews or the average Jewish citizen. What my post about was the American Evangelical support of Zionism and it’s horrific terrorizing of Palestine all in their belief that God somehow is bringing about end times by supporting Isreal against Palestine.
To say that someone who is against Zionism is = to hating all Jews is like saying that
someone who is fighting against neo-cons is = to hating all Americans no matter their stance.
Don’t know if my post is what you are referring to but I wanted to explain for myself that I hate the promotion of death and misery by thosein the religion I grew up in just as many Isrealis stand against Zionism.

I have not attended church for over three years now because it was driving me crazy whenever the preacher came around to getting us to “pray for our leaders, that they may have wisdom and guidance.” I’ll be damned if I’m ever going to pray for anyone that bombs innocent women and children, or imprisons anyone without trial or even charges, and then proceeds to torture them endlessly. The “Christians” who ignore this are, as far as I’m concerned, fully complicit in mass murder and torture, and I hope that someday, whether it be here on earth or in the hereafter, they are judged accordingly for their actions, or lack thereof. As Dante said:
“The hottest places in Hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.”

post 152 – Dr. No – i thought i had made the ” truth ” abundantly clear in my post . ok , i’ll try and make myself understood , though i have expressed this on many occassions . the truth movement has had , and continues to have , incredible success globally . sometimes groups can even flourish in the most hostile of political environments . my personal belief is that this is due to the fact that the movement , as a whole , is leaderless , yet at the same time we are all leaders . we are cells of independent action yet , at the same time , capable of acting in unison toward a common objective . the potential for effecting real and lasting change is , i believe , unprecedented . however , the window of opportunity is closing . as we are all aware , 9/11 was a catalysing event , and the globalists have been quick to exploit it to its fullest extent . but , it seems to me that their efforts have increased to an even greater extent recently . i believe , and the evidence strongly suggests , that in pretty short order , our capacity to communicate and work together is going to disappear or , at least , be severely restricted . so , the ” truth ” is that if we don’t stop bickering and whining about this group or that group and who is an adherent to which religion , the window will slam shut and we will end up on the wrong side of it . the truth movement has come this far but will go no further unless we can put aside petty and pointless and irrelevant arguements and stop attacking each other . here’s the thing . i know that there are agents of influence trying to divide us . for us it’s an occupational hazard and , though i don’t like it , i understand it . this is a method our enemy uses against us in the infowar . what deeply concerns me is that most people are not agents of influence . some of these people are , just like you and me , well intentioned , know what we’re facing and prepared to fight for freedom . but they just seem incapable of getting past old rivalries or misconceptions or complete irrelevances . so , to summarise ( and please forgive me for being so longwinded ! ) the ” truth ” is , please guys , stop fighting amongst yourselves . if we waste our energy beating the snot out of each other , we’re going to have nothing left to fight what’s really threatening us . well Dr. No , i hope you get what i’m trying to say and i hope i didn’t offend you or , indeed , anyone . i just had a bit of a hissy fit i guess . the thread here is terrifying and some of the things i’ve read here really angered me and , at the same time , caused me to despair . again , i sincerely apologise to anyone who was offended by my previous post . resistance is victory . all glory goes to God . Thanks, maxx, for clarifying what you meant. I’m really new here and was not at all familiar with any earlier statements you may have made. Also, I think you may have me mistaken for someone else, as I don’t recall ever giving you a “slap on the kisser”.
There’s a degree of bickering here, I agree, but it certainly doesn’t compare with the routine gratuitous insults that I have witnessed on Intenet newsgroups in the past. I see far more POSITIVE energy here than negative. Maybe this view will change soon, but for now I see no reason to abandon ship.
I agree with you that our window of opportunity could be closing soon, but I believe this may be more of a problem for globalists than it is for us. The globalists MUST never appear to the unenlightened masses as the bad guys, and this is getting increasingly difficult for them, the more that they push. First it was setting up metal detectors at airports – that was pretty much tolerable for most people. Then they started making us take off shoes – and people started to get irritated. Then they made us dump all our after-shave and baby formula – and people started to get riled. Now they’re forcing us into full-body scanners that leave nothing to the imagination? Now they are training cops to take our blood at checkpoints? There’s gonna be a breaking point sometime, probably sooner rather than later. Everybody will eventually see the tyranny all around them, and they won’t need to listen to the Alex Jones show to believe that it’s real.
It’s probably true that it’s senseless to be arguing with each other about who’s to blame for all this. I tend to agree with Alex that a LOT of forces are behind it – it’s not exclusively the Zionists or the British royal family or the Jesuits. It’s probably all of the above, and then some. No matter who is behind it, the real question we should be asking is how do we fight THEM. I totally agree that we are only hurting ourselves by fighting each other. That’s why I choose not debate petty issues here. If somebody wants to call me a stupid fucking idiot, as two already have in this thread, I don’t sit around debating this. Whether or not this is true is completely irrelevant to the problems that we are all facing.

The Bible which this country was founded on, states that 1/3 of mankind or (2 billion people) are going to perish. How the numbers will fall on what countries only GOD knows. Keep in mind, there are roughly 7 billion on the earth today and growing by the second. Congressman Paul knows exactly what I am speaking of since he has been interviewed on http://www.endtime.com by Irvin Baxter about this exact subject. So his surprise is staged due to his stance in Congress. It really doesn’t matter what you believe folks, the Bible has been around for more than 2,000 yrs and the words are alive today as they were back then. When GOD speaks of a prophecy it has to be fulfilled. It rains on the just & the unjust or saints & sinners alike. GET READY IT’S COMING!

in a movie-script type of way, he claimed he had travelled from a future time.
After a nuclear war in 2015. Claimed a middle eastern nuclear war happened
before then, in 2009. Claimed our 2008 president could be a ’she’ and
that the 2004 olympics would be the last.
Don’t read anymore of my paraphrasing. Look him up, make up your own minds, and
think of this: Could all biblical end time prophecy be right on the mark if someone
had travelled back into our worldline from the future with just that information?

post 158 – drphil – i went to http://www.johntitor.com and spent a couple of hours reading . to summarise , i think that there’s not much that most ‘awake’ people couldn’t predict without the aid of time travel and some of his predictions , the us civil war starting in 2005 for instance , have clearly not happened . the photographs of the alleged time machine were grainy and difficult to examine in any real detail . his assertion that he hasn’t got anything to sell and he doesn’t care if we believe him or not doesn’t preclude the possibility that this is just someone who is attention seeking . some months ago i saw something similar . this was allegedly someone who was a new world order bigshot who , over a similar period of time , made him/herself available to answer questions from us dumb sheeple . this person then disappeared . much to my frustration , i never had the opportunity to engage this person in conversation personally . and it appears that i’ve missed the boat again ! however , i did get to read a transcript of this persons interaction with people on the forum and , to be perfectly honest , i drew the same conclusion . in fact , i would not be in the least bit surprised if john titor and the new world order bigshot ( whos name escapes me right now ! ) were one and the same person . the styles are almost identical . based on access to transcripts only , i can only conclude that john titor is probably a really smart person with the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances very efficiently in real time and is probably young , late teens to early twenties , probably in college or university and having a huge laugh at our expense ! however , in the interests of fairness , who knows ? anythings possible . so , john titor , if your out there somewhere , there are many people who’d like a little chat with you , me included !

If you DIED today, who would be greeting you at the gate, GOD or Satan? It’s really that simple, and everything else really doesn’t matter! Prophecy, whether Christian or Hindu or any number of mystical traditions, is only possibility – not certainty. The individual men and women living in this world are the makers of reality. Even the books taken so deeply to heart, come from the time of a Roman emperor looking for religious unity to replace hundreds of competing sects. He was principle along with a few individuals in selecting which stories would be designated as the “true” religion and which stories would be excluded. I believe that the emperor was a follower of a sun god, Ra. Later he was chided into becoming a member of the religion he helped to shape for political ends – by his mother, Helena. Since then these books have been translated a number of times. So which is the true statement – here or here in any book? Have you taken the time to learn the ancient Greek or Aramaic or Hebrew so you can know for certain the meaning of a statement and not rely on another intermediary opinion? And that is taking into account that there is no text existent from the time of the actual events described in these books.
Folks, this is not a criticism of any faith since few groups agree on the interpretation of any given statement in any book, whether the old or new testament. Interpretation is up to each man and woman. The individual finds the truth in their own heart, not in the admonitions or demands or fear marketing of a neighbor. If you have so little faith in others that you must frighten them into agreeing with you – what’s different about baby Bush and his threats to attack another nation without just cause (already done that twice). Is he not championing blind fear and panic? Is this the proper use of our ability to reason? Is not Ron Paul admired because of his reasonableness and common sense?
So, I repeat – prophecy is not set in stone. If you support it (even without the research necessary to know for yourself, for certain what it really said), I suspect you help to bring it into being. I’m not going to do that. I honor my own love of life and of the potential of other men and women and do not plan to be part of condemning them or myself to prophetic possibilities. Even the pathetic unbalanced creature that sits in the white house can change. I do not condemn anyone to the dark path they appear to have chosen, or dark forces they seem to obey. I may dream the impossible dream – but it is an honest dream.
But certainly – to preserve those I hold dear – I do not walk in weakness. And I know that death is not a final curtain, just new possibilities.
