Ron Paul did a great job in the MTV/Myspace forum. Of course, some of his answers may have been too scholarly for the audience, which appeared to be populated mostly by the kind of people you’d expect to get their ideas from MTV. Many of them sat there looking bored because they weren’t getting the lame-brained platitudes and promises of free stuff an Obama offers. The girl who wants taxpayers to subsidize her undoubtedly prodigious sex life seemed especially disappointed.
But for that even-smaller-than-usual Remnant in MTV’s audience, Ron Paul provided a wealth of ideas that they can Google later about sound money, free markets, and a non-interventionist foreign policy. His summary at the end about not wanting to run people’s lives probably struck a cord in a great many young people already sick of power-hungry politicians — you could see the smiles spread across the audience members’ faces as he spoke. He needs to play that note for all it’s worth.

“The girl who wants taxpayers to subsidize her undoubtedly prodigious sex life seemed especially disappointed.”
thats rude and unnecessairy.
You guys at infowars.com have a problem. You give the notion that you´re handing out the truth to people. At the same time you downsize the value of those people who you should instead encourage to seek the truth. I’m talking about rednecks with bumperstickers and others YOU at infowars.com portray as being easily fooled by mainstram media. SO, if they are easily fooled; let the truth be available for them too.

well for one, j.h. huebert wrote this article on lewrockwell.com. whether or not he writes for infowars or prisonplanet or any of the other alex jones’ sites i’m not sure. yes of course infowars didn’t have to include the line-“The girl who wants taxpayers to subsidize her undoubtedly prodigious sex life seemed especially disappointed.”- but not including it would have been censoring the writer that made that post. it wasn’t in the best of tastes to take a cheap shot like that, but neither is your line about “rednecks”. two wrongs don’t make a right is what i’ve been told (although it is difficult to tell in the context of your comment whether you are saying infowars.com calls people rednecks or you yourself were). the point is, before you get on your soap box to declare how rude someone is, check and see if they were the ones that actually said it. the main thing to focus on is to continuously spread the message of freedom.

I’m sorry, but it doesn’t seem fair that they continuously bring up this business in dharfour (sorry, not sure how you spell it.) To me, it seems they are playing off of the mindless altruism and happy-go-lucky attitude that many people my age seem to exhibit (i am 19 years old). They don’t really look at things in a practical manner they simply say, “Aww, those poor people are starving and hurt we have to help them” when they have no clue that we are dealing with a far worse reality in our own nation. The heavy hand of TYRANNY is coming to the us and all they are worried about are people that are too far gone for us to help at this point. We have so much to deal with in our own nation we need to get our own stuff straight before we try helping others. The whole darfour situation has been done to death on any media that young people are likely to see. When i graduated high school they were showing a news program geared for teenagers every morning before class and it was very watered down and had little substance. Propaganda to the highest degree.

OBAMA’S TRIFECTA: FOREIGN POLICY LINE IS RUN BY TRILATERAL FOUNDER ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI -OBAMA”S WIFE LINKED TO COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS
WASHINGTON DC — Barack Obama’s top economics adviser is a member of the super-secret Skull & Bones society of Yale University, of which George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and John Kerry are also members, reliable sources confirmed tonight. Goolsbee is widely reported to have told Obama not to back a compulsory freeze on home mortgage foreclosures to help the struggling middle class in the current depression crisis, as demanded by former candidate John Edwards. Hillary Clinton has advocated a one-year voluntary freeze on foreclosures. Obama has offered counselors to comfort mortgage victims as they are dispossessed, citing the ‘moral hazard’ of protecting the public interest from Wall Street sharks.
By adding the infamous Skull & Bones secret society to his campaign roster, Obama, who bills himself as the candidate of change and hope, has attained a prefect trifecta of oligarchical and financier establishment backing for his attempt to seize the nomination of the Democratic Party for 2008. Obama’s main overall image adviser and foreign policy adviser is Zbigniew Brzezinski, the co-founder of David Rockefeller’s Trilateral Commission, and the mastermind of the disastrous Carter administration. Obama’s wife Michelle is reputed to be closely linked to the Council on Foreign Relations. Behind the utopian platitudes dished up by the Illinois senator, the face of the Wall Street money elite comes into clearer and clearer focus.
George Will, in an October 2007 Washington Post column saluted Goolsbee’s “nuanced understanding” of traditional Democratic issues like globalization and income inequality; he “seems to be the sort of fellow — amiable, empirical, and reasonable–you would want at the elbow of a Democratic president, if such there must be,” wrote the arch-oligarchical apologist Will.
From Wikipedia: ‘Austan D. Goolsbee is an economist and is currently the Robert P. Gwinn Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is also a Research Fellow at the American Bar Foundation[1], Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a member of the Panel of Economic Advisors to the Congressional Budget Office. He has been Barack Obama’s economic advisor since Obama’s successful U.S. Senate campaign in Illinois. He is the lead economic advisor to the 2008 Obama presidential campaign.’

For those who doubt this country is now being controlled from behind the scenes…
just as I and many others have predicted would happen, Hilary and Obama have now “made up” after a dog n pony show of hostility towards each other and will run as a “dream team ticket”!!! UGGHHH! This is the most obvious and sickening example of the orchestrating of (or attempt at orchestrating) public opinion (brainwashing) I have ever seen. Joseph Goebels would be proud!

I think above all at this time in our history that it’s important that those of us who have opened our eyes or are in the process of opening them do as much as we can to spread the awareness that not all is as we’ve been told by the powers that be.
Tell anyone willing to listen or engage in debate about the issues that arise to obstruct our freedoms and knowledge. Do your research, and get your facts straight so you don’t come off sounding like some paranoid end of the world wingnut.
I’ve been studying and researching these same subjects for years now since the early sixties and I’ve worked on both sides of the fence, which definitely solidified my convictions as to how far we’ve fallen as a nation.
As far fetched as it may sound we our in the fight of our lives and the only way to truly bring power back to the people and break the invisible chains of mental and forthcoming physical slavery is to use the one tool that’s allowed us to prosper on this planet above and beyond other species, namely our minds and intellect.
This is the time to let knowledge kindle the flames of freedom and allow “We The People” to once again set the course for our own destiny. Not some group of elitists that have some Orwellian vision of what that destiny should be.
I have hopes that Ron Paul will be elected but I also know what the powers that be are capable of and how much control they currently hold over the masses. Even if he is elected he will still have the Congress and Senate to deal with and though I feel some changes will be made, it will be an uphill battle all the way.
No one is going to ride in on a white horse and rescue us from our own folly. We have to be the rEvolution, we have to change the course of history ourselves or suffer the consequences of our inaction. We can divide ourselves over the issues or the details of the symptoms of our own demise, but in the end the most obvious reality is the system is sick and we need to heal it. The alternative isn’t a pleasant one to contemplate.
So get out there now and make your thoughts and questions know, blog them, tell a friend, relation, stranger. Anyone… We’ve gotten to this point by being dumbed down, lied to and coerced to accept a reality that doesnt exist. “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free!” Never has that statement been more full of truth than now.
I do this on a site I’ve just created for this very purpose, survivalnews.net and I suggest those of you who have the capability do the same, and those of you who do not, post links to sites like this one and others like informationclearinghouse.info and many others. If we act in concert we can develop a network of informational resources “infobombs” as Alex calls them. Print flyers, spread videos, post links, comments, quotes, anything that may spread the information one way or another. The only way we can stop these people is to make as many people as we can aware of what’s going on.
In the time of the Roman Empire, a senator once suggested that all slaves be required to wear a white armband to show their status as slaves. Another senator disagreed with that suggestion and replied; “If they were to realize how great is their number and how few of us, they’d revolt.”
In closing I only wish to make the point: it’s time to revolt in a peaceful manner in order that people will be made to see, that which they have become blind to.
“The spirit of the times may alter, will alter. Our rulers will become corrupt, our people careless. A single zealot may commence persecutor, and better men be his victims. It can never be too often repeated that the time for fixing every essential right on a legal basis is while our rulers are honest and ourselves united. From the conclusion of [their] war [for independence, a nation begins] going down hill. It will not then be necessary to resort every moment to the people for support. They will be forgotten, therefore, and their rights disregarded. They will forget themselves but in the sole faculty of making money, and will never think of uniting to effect a due respect for their rights. The shackles, therefore, which shall not be knocked off at the conclusion of [that] war will remain on [them] long, will be made heavier and heavier, till [their] rights shall revive or expire in a convulsion.” –Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia Q.XVII, 1782.
