Ron Paul: Obama’s ‘goal’ is economic collapse

Ron Paul, the popular Republican Congressman from Texas, is ripping into the president and Congress for what he sees as their “goal” with round after round of stimulus: complete economic collapse.
“From their spending habits, an economic collapse seems to be the goal of Congress and this administration,” he said in his June 22, 2009, weekly address.
He added that Democrats who voted for the president’s war funding request, which gave an additional $106 billion to military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq — among other, unrelated items — were actually voting in favor of the wars, not just authorization of the president’s agenda.
He called it an affront to everyone who believed a vote for Obama was a vote for a peace candidate.

The president’s insistence on including an additional $108 billion in asset exchange with the International Monetary Fund is merely “buying global oppression,” he said.
Paul added that, “this [bill sent] $660 million to Gaza, $555 million to Israel, $310 million to Egypt, $300 million to Jordan and $420 million to Mexico; and some $889 million will be sent to the United Nations for so-called peace keeping missions.”
In other words, the latest U.S. war funding was an “International bailout,” he said.
The legislation’s provisions for the IMF included 100 billion dollars for the New Arrangements to Borrow (NAB), a credit instrument providing the multilateral institution with additional resources to deal with exceptional risks to the stability of the international monetary system.
They also include an expansion of the nation’s special drawing rights by five billion SDRs, adding roughly eight billion dollars to the IMF’s financial firepower.
The 100 billion dollars for the NAB acts as a credit line for the IMF in case member countries need emergency loans that exceed the institution’s resources. As such, the money is not considered an immediate budget expense.
Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) had proposed to strip out the IMF funds, but his measure was defeated in May by a vote of 64-30.
“Not only does sending money to the IMF hurt citizens here, evidence shows that it even hurts those it pretends to help,” Paul said. “Along with IMF loans come IMF required policy changes called ’structural adjustment programs,’ which amount to forced Keynesianism. This is the very fantasy-infused economic model that brought our own country to its knees.”

I disagree, but not completely. Politics is all about popularity and election. Ron Paul intorduced HR 1207 to audit the Fed. It is because of the Ron Paul Revolution and the popularity this man has with millions that has earned him so many co-sponsors. They didn’t all co-sponsor because they really want to end the Fed, but rather they want to be associated with the popularity Dr. Paul currently enjoys.
I agree with Mike65 that having REAL like-minded politicians in office, the Constitution can be pulled from the shredder and restoration work can be started.

The quickest way to reveal a tyrant is to get them to act like a tyrant. In due time the majority of the American people will see this government and the bank that runs it for what it is.
Lets see where HR 1207 goes (Which isn’t mentioned much, if at all on the corporate media).
Then the Senate bill. Anyone who opposes the House and Senate bills must be officially denounced and a very active information campaign to insure that these scum are not re-elected… because they have shown themselves to be in with the bankers, on the pay roll of the Fed.
Once we get the bank back, we need to start a clean up operation against the CFR, Tri-lateral Commission, Bilderberg Group, and try the Rockefellers and their agents for HIGH TREASON.

Many people say this. It is sort of laughable. It shows how dumb people have become. It is illegal to know that a group is conspiring to take over the United States and not take action to alert Americans. To have knowledge of this conspiracy and to remain silent is call this treason. Perhaps millions die in the FEMA camps before justice overcomes and those responsible are brought to trial. I suppose Ron Paul can say he remained silent because he was afraid they would call him a “conspiracy theorist” or say he feared they would be laughing at him, but that will not defend him from a treason charge.

Ron Paul needs only to tell the American people ( get the message out regularly ) that the Federal Reserve is ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL!. Explain how it came to be. Simple…no “tin foil hat” slander could stick with a simple truthful statement like that.

Tell everyone you know about this nonsense. Flood congressional offices with letters, emails and phone calls. Any who decide to rally and protest, be very careful not to fall into the trap of a riot. Violence will only give them the “justification” for this and other unlawful acts against our freedoms. We need persistence, large numbers and cool heads if this government is to be turned into the “of the people, for the people” government it should be.
“Oh but they’re too powerful and they control everything!”
In that case, anyone who was planning on a July 4th vacation should divert to D.C. for an all-out demonstration. Celebrate our Independence Day by exercising our rights while we still have them. Voice our concerns loudly at all parades and all political speeches. Lose the defeatist attitude! Don’t stop until the seriousness of the message is finally felt. But do so non-violently. Withdraw our money from the banks, stop using credit, use as little gas as possible and say “NO!” to the politicians and bankers and foreign interests until they finally understand. Show the rest of the world that it can be done without violence when EVERYONE stands as one. Remind them that government is supposed to be for ALL the people. Remind them that government is meant to SERVE THE PEOPLE, not vice versa.
All we have to do is wake up everyone we know, reach out to everyone we can in any way we can and finally stand as one. Stop the pointless, petty squabbles and work together to take back this runaway government. If the citizenry of this country can just stop being lazy, complaisant, fearful children with an overdeveloped sense of self entitlement, these issues before us can easily be solved. United, we can be a shining example to the world. Apart, we are lost.
If we cannot do something so fundamentally simple, I have to wonder if such a loss would really be that significant, because we obviously do not deserve the freedoms we refuse to stand up for.
“God will provide…. The Almighty Creator shall deliver us from this “evil”, thus saving our immortal souls… God will provide.”
OK, what if, let’s see if anyone can follow this idea, WHAT IF God has already provided. What if this Almighty Being that so many devout members of so many various yet amazingly similar religious orders talk about has already provided, provided us with the capability to pull ourselves out of this, the ability to release ourselves from the rampant stupidity that the Human Race suffers from. But instead of recognizing that, all our wonderful and truly devout people sit in prayer, waiting for the hand of God, failing to realize that the whole of the Human Race, when united in peace and cooperation, IS the Hand of God in this life. Should that hand be folded over in prayer or should that hand be actively correcting that which is wrong in this world?
I know it’s a wacky concept. It definitely doesn’t make as much sense as knowing a “cosmic Jewish zombie” will return after 2000 years to save his followers. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m not saying I’m necessarily right. I am only Human, after all. I’m just pointing out that we should, perhaps, engage these wonderful brains that we have been gifted with in an attempt to see the world for what it is, not for what we have been told it is.
It is only due to those who will only sit in prayer, those who give in to violence all too easily and the rest us us lazy complaisant fools that this great nation will finally fall. I challenge Americans to prove me wrong.
Those who believe in the power of prayer, consider this. Life is your prayer. Sitting and chanting some indoctrinated mumbo jumbo is NOT prayer. Living your life, working to bring about a better world for all the Human Race, THAT is the prayer.
Those of you who are trigger-happy, violent “freedom fighters”, consider this. It takes more than a violent act with a hammer or a bullet to fix most things in the “real” world. Your enemies are counting on your violent reaction so they can simply exterminate you and appear justified in doing so in the eyes of the rest of the world. It’s fine and dandy to fight for your own “freedom”. But what about your countrymen? Your enemy’s greatest fear is that people may come to the realization that a peaceful movement of the entire citizenry could easily crush these few. They ARE few and their “power” is only that we grant them this illusion of power.
As for the rest of us lazy good-for-nothings, we just need to get off our lazy duffs and stand together with our brothers and sisters.
Unfortunately, the so-called elite have done a wonderful job. Most will not listen to reason because of ignorance, apathy, fear and anger. Most of us are succumbing to the stupidity that has been bred into us.

Spanky I agree with much of what you’ve said. I walked out of my job in the mortgage industry last October. I did NOT originate sub prime loans. I originated VA loans because I live close to an Army base (Ft. Campbell, KY) A big portion of our town is active duty military….and boy are they tired!! Their families are tired and my heart goes out to all of them.
When the sub prime mortgage mess blew up, they (the investors who bought our loans) started messing with our VA guidelines making it much more difficult for anyone to get a home loan. Guidelines were being changed so fast that I could tell someone they were approved for a loan this morning and by the end of the day I would have gotten a new email telling me that this customer could no longer be approved. After nearly 12 years in the business I got out. I didn’t want to be in the stressful situation caused by investors that didn’t really know what they were going to do.
That’s neither here nor there. What matters is what I’ve done with my time since I unemployed myself. I found myself helping my brother sell some antiques he inherited and I rented a space at a local antique mall. The owner of the mall sent me a link to watch The Obama Deception. Since then, about two to three months have gone by and I find myself glued to research. I’ve just about researched and studied myself into paralyzed fear! I don’t plan to stay in this state for very long but I feel it has been necessary for me to study all of this to wake up for once in my 48 year life!
My spiritual outlook is much like yours. I think God already gifted us brains and power in unity. But when I research these things I can already see how much the “Psy-ops” has been at work since before I was born and how engrained in various fears we are. I’ve been asking myself daily “What can I do?” and “How can I help?” My hands are pretty crooked and weak with arthritis so I don’t think I could pull a mean trigger even if I could afford to buy a gun! I’ve been writing letters to my representatives but I have gotten nothing but an auto reply letting me know that my email was received. I’ve tried talking to my three adult children, my mother, sis and brothers and a few friends and neighbors and I really believe they think I’ve gone insane. (She quit her job and got sucked into all these conspiracy theories and lost her mind.) <—- that’s what I think they are saying!!
So how can I help? Well, I don’t know if I can but I will offer what I believe to be true:
We are slaves to debt. The government wants to get the economy moving enough so that we can do what? Spend more and borrow more! (Keep us enslaved to debt) Guys remember that I was in the home loan business for a long time. I too have worried about my credit score my whole life. Years ago in this country there was no such thing as a credit score. There was no such thing as a thirty year mortgage either. When I walked off my job last year I didn’t know how I would pay my bills. My credit score was very good. I made the decision to pay my house payment and utility bills only. My credit cards can wait until I’m able to do something about them. My score is now ruined. That’s okay. I never plan to apply for credit again. If you own a house or car and you still have to make payments on them then you’re stuck unless you’re willing to let them repo your car or foreclose on your house. Those are collateralized loans. Credit card debt is not collateralized. Since my score is ruined I no longer have to worry about identity theft. You see, credit is a fear tactic. First came the credit scoring system. Easy credit allowed us to live beyond our means. Then your credit score (if too low) means you might not get the debt you apply for or if you do….you have to pay a much higher interest rate to make you even MORE of a debt slave. So next, all these companies spring up everywhere offering to help you fix your credit or fight for debt relief. (They make a lot of money off of us.) Next you have a great score and you have to worry about identity theft. Then all these companies spring up that for a fee….will help you protect your identity from thieves!
What would happen if a large percentage of Americans ignored their uncollateralized debts for the next 90 days? Their scores would tank. (Would be nice if all Americans would do this but I know they won’t because of fear.) But what would that force the large companies to do? They’d have to come up with a different method of scoring people. If they didn’t, then they would no longer have any customers! (There’s power in unity folks!) Have your phone service turned off and buy one of those magic jack things to plug your phone in your computer. They won’t be able to call and bug you about your credit card debt that you’re not paying.
What if 10% of the country pulled their money out of the banks on the same day?
What if a large percentage of us called in to have our TV service disconnected at the same time? (I think this would scare the government officials who want to make sure we keep media in our faces to brainwash us day in and day out.) The government offered to help people by providing conversion boxes when we switched over to digital TV the other day. They must want us to have it awfully bad!
At the end of The Declaration of Independence it says: “And for the support of this Declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.” Those are some big important words. I think the rich elite that runs the world must make similar pledges to each other. See they have all the money they could ever want. For them it’s about power. We the people spend our whole lives struggling for money and it’s a fear imbedded in us so deeply I doubt that we could come together and pledge our lives, fortunes and sacred honor to each other the way the founding fathers did. Form groups if you so dare. The rich leaders do. They have their G-7, G-8, G-20 meetings. Form a group in your area and call it G-1000. Put a thousand like minded people together, swear your lives, fortunes and sacred honor to each other. Pool your money and start paying off each other’s mortgages. I already know the problems with this idea. I threw the idea out last October to my old co-workers. They said it could never work in America because of jealousy, mistrust and greed. Why would I want to help you pay off your $200,000 home when my house only cost $90,000? Who would get to go first? How do I know that if I help you pay off yours you will be there for me when it’s my turn? You see, fear is embedded in us this way. Would be a lovely idea though wouldn’t it if we could all bail each other out? Lets at least consider the tv disconnect idea. I bet it would shake things up. Our politicians might read our letters and listen to us then! There Spanky, my ramblings right back to ya!

While I was in the kitchen yesterday afternoon, I was flipping thru channels on the shortwave. I think the relevant point is that the government is on a spend rampage and none of it is helping the people of America. For as much money as they gave to the banks we could have given away homes to the poor. I still can’t believe that they give trillions to banks who’s predatory leading practices got us in trouble in the first place. I still think Hillary would have been a better choice for president but i guess that’s besides the point now. Obama says one thing and does another, for those of us who want to end Bush’s endless assault on the U.S. constitution not to mention the expensive and useless war in Iraq it’s disappointing. I have to give Ron Paul credit he has made a lot more sense lately then any one else. Ever sense 9/11 America has been sliding in a deep dark hole; there no other nation that’s going to help us because the whole world is embroiled in tyranny. When i read the news I don’t see free people any where; nothing but conflict and suffering rule. I recently reserved a domain name.. EndtheCFR.com. I wanted to educate people about how and why the Council on Foreign Relations has been so destructive to the American way of life. I carefully read the membership list, and googled many of the key members. This organization has totally infiltrated our government, our media and controls 90% of our money. Their site is impressive. Many so called “educators” with “paid for” credentials as indicated by the abbreviations after their names. It is my guess that the industrial military complex makes a donation to a college, say 50k, as long as the college allows a CFR Professor book a speaking engagement for 25k to speak propaganda, create a distraction and incite fear among the college students. Multiple press releases from the media division of the CFR then praise the professors. Pics are taken with plaques and handshakes. Awards are issued and another layer of so called “credibility” is given to these traitor-morons who could never find a job in the real world. This organization is very well developed and organized. They know how to play the game. I could use a little support (not money) in my efforts. Let me know if you can help.

According to the Board’s 1995 Annual Report, the System had net income totaling $23.9 billion, which, if it were a single firm, would qualify it as one of the most profitable companies in the world. How were these profits distributed? By an agreement between the Board of Governors and the Treasury, nearly all of the Fed’s annual profits are paid to the federal government. Accordingly, a lion’s share of $23.4 billion, which represents 97.9 percent of the Federal Reserve’s net income, was transferred to the Treasury. The Federal Reserve Banks kept $283 million, and the remaining $231 million was paid to its stockholders as dividends. ”
If this is true than any opposition to the House Bill for An Audit of the Federal Reserve should not be received. Question any who would oppose an audit vigorously. The numbers represented above are from 1995. I doubt there was an audit of this report.”

Here’s a truly progressive proposal to reform the privately-owned, debt-based monetary system. Two time presidential candidate Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) will soon be introducing this legislation which truly is the way out of recession and back to prosperity. The following article summarizes the legislation and also provides a link where the proposed American Monetary Act can be read.
THE WAY OUT
The primary cause of a recession is a shortage of money in the hands of the American people, the way out of recession is to put more money in their hands. Under the present monetary system this can only be done by borrowing more and going deeper in debt. It is difficult for people to understand that we have no money, instead we circulate bank-created interest-bearing debt as a “substitute money.”
The American Monetary Act takes three simple steps to correct this debt problem.
(1) Incorporate the Federal Reserve Banks into the U. S. Treasury where all new money is created by government as real money, not interest-bearing debt, and spent into circulation to promote the general welfare; monitored to be neither inflationary nor deflationary.
(2) Eliminate Fractional Reserve Banking in a manner that makes the federal government the only entity with the power to create, issue and regulate our money, as Article I, Section 8, Clause 5 of the United States Constitution mandates.
(3) As the “debt-money” created by the privately owned Federal Reserve System and the commercial banks disappears when debts are paid, it will be replaced with real money spent into circulation to rebuild our badly decayed public infrastructure, which includes roads, bridges, dams, water and sewage plants, mass transit, schools, etc. It also includes universal health care and education for all. This will create millions of high paying jobs. Also a substantial stimulus check will be sent out to immediately put money back in the hands of the American people. We don’t need to “get credit flowing,” we need to get real money flowing. All of this will be an interest-free, debt-free, inflation-free dividend to the American people.
What the so-called “too big to fail” banks don’t want you to know is that all of their money was created in the form of debt, and when they can no longer create more “debt-money” it will disappear as the debts are paid or defaulted, which means we will have to replace their debt money by spending real U. S. dollars into circulation. Then we will finally get the benefits we should have received in the first place – and all these benefits come without debt, without taxes, and without inflation. It will be a permanent money supply, not temporary as the present bank-created “debt-money” which disappears when debts are paid. The real money we will need to spend into circulation to replace this “debt-money” is literally trillions of dollars. And it all will appear as a bonus or dividend for the people. This will be permanent money with no debt or interest charges attached.
To allow this recession or depression to continue when the way out is well known is inexcusable. The American Monetary Act IS the way out of the present recession.

HERE IS HOW THIS “DEBT-MONEY” CREATION PROCESS WORKS – HOW THE FED AND THE BANKS CREATE MONEY “OUT OF THIN AIR.”
Step 1: The Federal Reserve Bank of New York “buys” assets, normally government securities for sale on the open market, by creating the “money” to buy them out of thin air, and, in the process, the big banks are given, free of charge, an equal amount of new, so-called “reserves.” These “reserves” become the basis for a 10 to 33 fold expansion of “debt-money” which will be loaned into existence by the banking system – with an interest charge attached. We must all realize that, as Congressman Kucinich says, “The Federal Reserve is no more Federal than Federal Express.” It is privately owned and controlled by the “too big to fail” banks.
Step 2: Based on new “reserves” just created out of thin air and given to the big banks free of charge, the banking system uses the Federal Reserve’s Fractional Reserve System to expand or multiply those “reserves” by 10 to 33 times. These so-called “reserves” are sometimes called “high-powered dollars” because of their multiplier effect. The required reserve on demand deposits is presently 10% for big banks and 3% for smaller banks. So, for the big banks, if they received, for example, one million of new “reserves” just created out of nothing by the Fed, they can create out of nothing, and loan out at interest, ten times that amount. If and when any of these new “reserves” trickle down from the big banks to the small banks, those banks, with a 3% reserve requirement on demand deposits, can create out of nothing, and loan out at interest, 33 1/3 times the amount of new “reserves” just received.
That’s the whole process as simply as it can be stated. The end result is that, using the example of one million of new “reserves”, our people and their government and businesses are deeper in debt, interest bearing debt, not one million dollars deeper, but someplace between $10 million and $33 million deeper. The more “debt-money” we have, the deeper in debt we are.
The American Monetary Act eliminates this debt-based system and takes back the power to create, issue and regulate our money. This legislation is the way out of recession and back to prosperity.
The banking system presently holds over $7 trillion of deposits. These are all in the form of interest-bearing “debt-money.” When banks can no longer create money and loan it into circulation with an interest charge attached, all $7 trillion will disappear as debts are paid or defaulted. But we need this $7 trillion in our economy, so the government, under the American Monetary Act, will replace the “debt-money” as it disappears with real U. S. money spent directly into circulation as a tax-free, debt-free, interest-free dividend to the American people.
HERE IS WHAT REPLACING $7 TRILLION OF “DEBT-MONEY” WITH REAL U. S. MONEY OVER THE NEXT FEW YEARS CAN MEAN TO YOU AND YOUR COMMUNITY.
While the final decision on how to spend this $7 trillion will be made by Congress and the President, here are some definite possibilities. The dividend check and the program to rebuild the infrastructure are the first two programs suggested by the American Monetary Act.
$825 billion to issue a check for $5,000 to every person on the Social Security rolls, both those working and paying in, and those retired and receiving benefits. This is as much as the whole Stimulus Plan passed by Congress but, instead of borrowing the money, it is spent into circulation as a dividend to the American people. $5,000 in the hands of all American workers will go a long way towards ending the current recession.
$300 billion to rebuild and improve the public infrastructure – schools, bridges, roads and streets, water and sewage plants, mass transit, etc. This will be $300 billion a year for at least eight consecutive years. This money is spent, not borrowed, into circulation in replacement of the old bank created “debt-money.” Direct grants will be given on a per capita basis in all 435 Congressional Districts. Here’s what this would mean in a city with a population of 27,000, a county with a population of 40,000 and a school district with an enrollment of 4,100.

Money is not the root of all evil. It is the love of money. Money has been around for as long as man. It is the way to facilitate commerce. The problem comes from not having a basic understanding of what the value of each monetary unit is per unit. By basing the value of a monetary unit on a set standard, (gold for example), each unit being worth a predetermined amount of a valued asset. By not having a set standard and having to keep a certain amount of value to back the currency, the currency is dishonest. Our currency has been dishonest since Nixon.

If you set the value of your currency unit at a particular amount of gold, which you hold in reserve, and always and I mean always pay that gold on demand, the Rothschild group can do whatever they want. The value of your money will be what you say. To maintain this system, you have to maintain a balance of trade. The gold cannot constantly go out, and not come back in. That is where sovereignty comes in and trade laws go into effect. China couldn’t dump cheap goods on our market without our permission. They would have to buy an equal value of goods from us. We have been in negative trading for years now, the result of de-industrialization and so called free trade, with a flavourful mix of bad tax law here in the U.S. that gives foreign nations an advantage.

I think they’ve got enough of the us population getting a government paycheck that they can control things to their liking and are close to going for it:
