Ron Paul: ‘Pretty sad’ that Limbaugh is GOP leader

Demonstrating again his propensity to go out on a limb, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) had some choice words of criticism for Rush Limbaugh, the conservative media talk show host who was the star attraction at last weekend’s Conservative Political Action Conference.
In a phone interview Monday morning with CNN’s John Roberts, Paul said of Limbaugh “He is a leader. He does say the right things now and I think a lot of people like to hear what he’s saying but I think it’s also a little bit polarizing and confrontational and I think that’s why the Democrats are bragging that Limbaugh now speaks for the Republicans so I guess the Democrats think its to their advantage if he’s leading the charge.”
Responding to a question from Roberts on what it means for the Republican Party that their “spokesperson” is a radio talk show host and not a member of the political leadership, Paul said, “I think it’s pretty said. It’s a good point to make. That means the Republicans are really starving for some type of leadership.”
A 2008 presidential contender, Paul was a dark horse candidate for the Republican nomination. His advocacy against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as his criticisms of infringements on civil liberties under the Bush administration have often put him at odds with the majority of his party but have also led to strong support from civil libertarians.

In criticizing Limbaugh, Paul joins Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, who also had some unflattering remarks to say about the popular talk show host.
“Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer,” Steele said to CNN’s D.L. Hughley on Saturday. “Rush Limbaugh, his whole thing is entertainment. Yes it’s incendiary, yes it’s ugly.”
Said Roberts of Paul, “I was fascinated that in terms of expanding the base, Ron Paul is bringing a lot of young people in the door. It’s fascinating. This 72-year-old white guy from Texas is bringing a lot of young people in.”
Paul demurred though to Roberts’ enquiries of whether he would run for president in 2012.
“I don’t think so. It’s a long way off. I can hardly imagine what [state] the country is is going to be in. Right now I just plan on promoting the cause.”

If Ron Paul REALLY wanted to “go out on a limb” he’d be naming the individuals he KNOWS are responsible for what is happening to our country and the world. If Ron Paul truly wanted to expose these people, he’d be blaming it on the true culprits and leaving NO DOUBT in anyone’s mind that it’s been done entirely by design. Instead, he has consistently refused to admit that 9/11 was an inside job, that the real culprits are not the Fed, but the Rothschilds and their handmaidens the Rockefellers, who OWN the Fed, and that this all part of a centuries-long agenda to rule the world. Surely, he knows this. He CAN’T be as naive as he pretends to be.

Going out on a limb would be saying Limbaugh is a low-life hypocrite that is employed to simply perpetuate the myth of the two-party system.
If Limbaugh really believed the small-government, free-market liberty message that he reads off each day, he’d have backed a candidate that supports abolishing the Federal Reserve (such as Ron Paul). Furthermore he wouldn’t constantly defend politicians like Bush and Reagan that expanded the federal government.
But Limbaugh’s keepers wouldn’t be happy with anything different than the constant babble about “liberals.” So he just follows the script and keeps people suckered in with some lines about liberty and freedom and how great America is.
Limbaugh is no better than the ‘tards on TV. Perhaps Ron Paul could’ve said something to that effect.

We are in agreement; Paul has done more than others in the political realm to accomplish this. My statement would be addressing his “selective” engagement of subject matter. He does this for self preservation or other unknown criterion. I would imagine Paul is quite a gentleman based on my interpretation of his behavior/ personality. “An intelligent gentleman”. I have conditioned myself however too thoroughly filter suspected trees that could possibly bare bad fruit. If Paul were to be considered a public servant, he would serve the public, not necessarily his personal interests of self preservation. One would consider this preservation is for future points of view he may voice. Therefore, he is preserving his future effectiveness in representing his constituents. I believe if this undeniably intelligent individual Paul would broaden his depiction of the crisis America is consumed by, he would most certainly be reinforced by legions of displaced Americans. His failure to do so raises questions in my opinion. I would imagine he will be writing a book soon. This may further trivialize Americans that are struggling for proper enforcement of the U.S. Constitution. I will most likely shape my opinion further. I truly appreciate your comment.

in Sacramento who, in the eyes of his father, was a failure.
Roger Ailes, (NWO NeoCon producer) had been looking for

networks and promote Neo Conservatism.
Ailes found this chubby dimbulb Limbaugh and the rest is
history. Limbaugh is the fat kid we all knew in high school
who had virtually zero social skills and average marks

By his own admission any politics Limbaugh
did know he picked up from his 500 pound lawyer-father
and his 100 year old grandfather. Both were successful,
opinionated men who were Freemasons of high degree
and continuously spouted the glories of the “New World
Order”.
So Limbaugh has the satisfaction of privately knowing
he has always been a lackey for the elites and nothing
more. One word out of his mouth that doesn’t line up
perfectly with what his NeoCon masters tell him to say
and he’s a piece of fat-ass history.
We did hear him make a slip right before a break on
the program one day. He may have thought his mike
was off, but a caller right before that was arguing about
how much different the Republicans were from the
Democrats. While the music was rising, Limbaugh
chuckled and said: “When are they ever going to
realize THERE’S ONLY ONE SIDE?”
To us Limbaugh is a cipher, a nobody. Just another
large empty suit spouting drivel. If the poor soul

I do not know if anyone else mentioned this in a post or not as I did not go through to read them all but I thought I would point out something. Did anyone stop to think that Mr. Limbaugh made these statements, or was told to make these statements by a handler, in order for the so-called opposition party to further press for the issue of the “fairness doctrine.” If as AJ claims that the fairness doctrine will be selectively enforced to shut him off the airwaves then these comments by Mr. Limbaugh would add more fuel to the fire for such a piece of legislation.

Rush maybe making a comeback, everyone makes mistakes in life and everyone has personal problems, maybe he will put the fire back in the belly of a few people that feel destroyed by Obama. Maybe he will send more people out int othe net and get them to find out about Alex and others. Why does everyone always tear each other apart out here, that would be exactly what the government would want us to do to each other, what does it accomplish.
I don’t agree with 100% of what he says and the same with Alex and I would expect both of them to be in total agreement with that and would expect them to think the same of me, so when we attack each other over things like he used painkillers, then you might as well shut off your music like Johhny Cash or Led Zeppelin or whatever you dig cause those people are far from perfect too.
Micheal Savage has lately been phenomenal on the radio, does he have flaws? Of course, we all do, stop ripping each other to pieces, that just lets the bankers and politicians get away with anything they want to. Maybe these people like Beck, Savage or Limbaugh might have something else to say from day to day and maybe they might actually sometimes be in synchrony with what Alex has to say sometimes, why not use that to your advantage rather than shooting a bunch of arrows in his back for getting excited about resisting Obama? The democrats love that we don’t identify ourselves with anything that can oppose them, they use this to marginalize our freedom cause. In the cause of freedom all voices should be involved including ones with huge audiences, maybe if Rush was inundated with information and new sources he might galvanize the marginal arguments into something to be reckoned with.
There are so many obscure people working in a libertarian angle that should be getting airtime through Limbaugh, Beck,Hannity and Savage. This only increases interest in Alex and others of like minded small government advocates, who says Limbaugh knows everything goin on out there, maybe many new voices could finally break through to a mainstream audience in the same way Alex has gotten through to people on C2CAM, freedom seems more POSSIBLE than ever, right now, don’t blow it tearing each other to pieces or jumping all over people that are just finding out about this stuff, don’t push people away, we need to pull together, that will be the only way we can bring real freedom and liberty into fashion and into reality, first it maybe a myth or a story then it can become a reality, it maybe just a ride and we can make it happen, but fear can’t bring it about, it never will.

The only reason I come to this site at all, is to get a conversational opening, in order to get a word in for Jesus Christ. It is very important not too have an education of the bible only, (but it is a very good start). Further . . . many Christians (falsely so called) are not even knowledgeable of life their own front doors.
It is absolutely imperative to have a good balance. If all you know is the world, through the mews media. then people who listen to you are people with similar interests . . . However, if you have a balance with the word of God, and with current events, it may be possible to show some lost soul how current events lead up to the return of Jesus Christ.
Further more . . . in the event that you don’t know, the NEWS is one mans interpretation on the facts . . .
While you are sitting on your sofa, waiting unwisely for your next (sell your soul) stimulus check, I’m out in the trenches letting people know their is a life after a physical death, and the sell out of the American people is not the end. then I tell them how they can get it.

You people need to take advantage of anyone that tells any PART of the story. That’s more than we’ll get from the MSM. I usually listen to Rush/Beck/Bortz/Savage about 2 hours a day when in the States and working the Farm or driving. As Rush is spanked by Rahm we need to use this exposure to get people like Paul/ Alex/Tancredo/Farah from WND on and chalenge Rush as Rush has chalenged President Obama to debate. There are SO many obviously wrong actions we are now taking that will undoubtedly result in the intended destruction of this country. The SHEEPLE must be awaken so when the countrydoe colalpsesa significant amount of people will understand why and take appropriate action! I pray to G-d I am wrong!

I have a friend with no arms and no legs, he spends most of his time being useful . . . lying around on the front porch in front of the door. He even greets my friends and guests when they arrive . . . his name is Matt. Unlike you, Matt has a purpose in life, and he is useful even though he has limitations.

Education and health care are fiscal black holes. Throwing more money at them means more dead weight will be hired to spend the money on. Every year, more and more money are thrown at these twin talking points, and every year their “product” gets worse and worse.
Health care and education begins at home. Bringing the government in just makes it worse for everyone but the government.

I have an urgent message for infowars, more important than any message you can
hear. God is Holy and cannot accept sin. Why are there famine, disasters,
death, etc in the world? Mans REBELLION against God! God wrote the law on each
man’s heart so they are without excuse on judgment day when we will ALL stand
before Christ. I plead with you because God wants me to show you the truth in
love! All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God(Romans 3:23). The
penalty of sin is death and eternal punishment in the LAKE OF FIRE. You are
dead in your sins and headed for hell which is described in the Word as a FIRE
THAT QUENCHES NOT. It is a horrible and terrible place of torment that people
will go because of their sins. But God has provided a way for each to escape
the lake of fire. “For God so loved the world, He sent his only Begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life”
John 3:16. Jesus suffered a horrible death and rose again 3 days later to take
the penalty of YOUR sins! He loved you so much that He provided a way for man
to escape the lake of fire! All you must do to be saved is BELIEVE in Him(trust
in Him to save you). That is it! No works or anything you do can save you! May
God open your eyes, that one day I may see you in heaven. Read the Word of
God(I recommend the King James version) before rejecting it! Death is fleeting.
You may NOT have tomorrow! For death comes when we least expect it! Make sure
you are saved TODAY! The Bible condemns the rich, the wealthy, those who take
advantage of the poor, so it CANNOT have been made up by the elite. Because the
Word clearly CONDEMNS people such as those! Read the Word for yourself and see
that the claims are true!!!
I am a Christian, and STILL struggle with sin. Many so called Christians are
arrogant and hypocritical and think they have it all together. It is my desire
to do RIGHT as a Christian but will falter just like anyone else.
