Russia may cut off oil flow to the West

Fears are mounting that Russia may restrict oil deliveries to Western Europe over coming days, in response to the threat of EU sanctions and Nato naval actions in the Black Sea.
Any such move would be a dramatic escalation of the Georgia crisis and play havoc with the oil markets.
Reports have begun to circulate in Moscow that Russian oil companies are under orders from the Kremlin to prepare for a supply cut to Germany and Poland through the Druzhba (Friendship) pipeline. It is believed that executives from lead-producer LUKoil have been put on weekend alert.
“They have been told to be ready to cut off supplies as soon as Monday,” claimed a high-level business source, speaking to The Daily Telegraph. Any move would be timed to coincide with an emergency EU summit in Brussels, where possible sanctions against Russia are on the agenda.

This is exactly why we should’ve been drilling for our own oil. Im glad I live in TX where we produce most of our goods and some oil right here. CA, FL and others should drill to help their economies and provide revenue for alt fuels/energy (EXCEPT CORN ETHANOL thats wasteful)

Can’t say that I blame them. The EU/US shouldn’t be messing with Russia about this. If the US can attack Iraq and Afghanistan, without any evidence that either participated in 9/11, the it is justified that Russia can attack Georgia for attacking its peacekeepers and civilians in South Ossetia.
Problem is, though, that knowing the US Government, they will say that Russia eliminating the flow of oil to Poland would be a pretext to war. I’m suprised the US hasn’t sunk one of its ships in the Black Sea so they could turn the world against Russia.

Satellite imagery would clearly show such an event did not occur. Russia has a space program too, you know.
I admire Putin’s courage in giving America the finger, it is a refreshing change of pace to the normal cowtowing we usually get. Of course, it’ll mean nuclear war. The American elites have bomb shelters ALL OVER THE PLACE (Cheyenne Mountain has to be able to take three (3) direct nuclear hits, it’s one mile under a MOUNTAIN), and it won’t be their children dying in the resulting nuclear exchange. Occupation With No End in Sight
Georgians in ‘Security Zone’ Resigned to Russians’ Presence
DZEVERA, Georgia, Aug. 28 — When Kako Kechkhvashvili and his wife packed their things and fled this farming village on Aug. 12, they planned to return when the Russian soldiers and their tanks withdrew.
But four days ago, with acres of their untended apples dying on the branch, they could wait no longer. They moved back home to Dzevera, now set behind a series of Russian checkpoints within what Moscow calls a “security zone” in northern Georgia.
Too late to rescue their dry, brown orchard this season, they lost out on the roughly $1,500 they could have earned at market. And unlike their compatriots in parts of Georgia abandoned by Russian forces last week, they say they are increasingly resigned to a military occupation with no end in sight.
“It all depends on politicians, but I think they will be here for a long time,” Kechkhvashvili said of the uniformed soldiers the Kremlin refers to as “peacekeepers.” “We stayed away, but now we have nowhere else to go. We could not stay with relatives forever.”
After the Russian army withdrew a week ago from broad swaths of Georgian territory, drivers again cruised unhindered on the country’s main east-west highway, and the once-occupied city of Gori was extolled on television as a “symbol of freedom.” But residents of northern villages like Dzevera, and of other places in undisputed Georgian territory that Russian forces have not left, are bracing for a long-term Russian presence on their land.
The violence has waned here since the conflict’s early days, when South Ossetian militia fighters shot residents dead in their homes and abducted travelers from minibuses. But many residents have reported rampant lawlessness such as robberies and torched crops; a blackened wheat field along the twisting gravel road into Dzevera stands as evidence.
In nearby Karaleti, residents said they called the Georgian fire department when a home was set ablaze at 5 one recent morning, only to be told that the Russian checkpoint was closed. The house burned to the ground.
Nearly everyone interviewed expressed concern about how they would endure indefinite occupation, hemmed in by Russian military checkpoints on unpoliced roads.
Tahia Davitidze, 63, said her family had long made a living by selling produce in the Gori market, taking a 75-cent bus trip there each day along with other village farmers. But the bus has stopped running because of the Russian checkpoints, she said. The only way into town now is by taxi, which costs about $12.
“At first we lived in fear and panic, when the tanks and the militias came and burned some of the houses,” she said, as she and her family shared bowls of fruit in a room with a low stone ceiling. “Now I am afraid they will never leave and life will never be what it was.”
The Georgian government is encouraging residents to return to the occupied villages, hoping their presence will help undermine the legitimacy of Russian rule.
On Friday, workers rushed to construct tents for more than 1,000 displaced people on a run-down soccer field in Gori, just a few miles from Russian forces. Residents of occupied villages will be brought there in the coming days and remain until they are willing to return home, said Zviad Kuchadze, an official in Georgia’s emergency department.
Georgian officials maintain that they still intend to regain control of the occupied villages and of breakaway South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the separatist enclaves that were at the center of the Russia-Georgia war that broke out three weeks ago and are now under Russian control.
On Friday, Georgia’s Parliament passed a nonbinding resolution declaring that Russian peacekeepers should be legally classified as “occupation forces.” The Russian government has recognized the enclaves as independent states over strong objections from the West.
“We will never consider occupied territory to be gone,” said Giga Bokeria, Georgia’s deputy foreign minister. “Georgia’s territorial integrity must be restored.”
But other Georgian officials lament that such an outcome now seems far-fetched with Russian forces digging in both inside the enclaves and in the occupied Georgian villages. “It is hard for me to say it, but it will take an enormous effort to get our territory back, even beyond Abkhazia and South Ossetia,” said Nick Laliashvili, an opposition member of Parliament.
Beyond the farming communities north of Gori, Russian forces are redrawing boundaries far from the conflict zone. They have chased Georgian police from Mosabruni, less than an hour’s drive from the Georgian capital, Tbilisi. Russian and South Ossetian forces fly their respective flags at checkpoints on the road to Akhalgori, which they refer to only as Leningori, its name during Soviet times.
“The new border is there,” said a Russian colonel named Anatoly, who declined to give his last name, pointing down the road to Mosabruni, which before the war was in undisputed Georgian territory. “On this side is South Ossetia. On the other side is Georgia. We will not go any further. And they cannot come any further.”

From governmental standpoint, if both Russia and America are bad guys, then I have to say Russia is less so these days by a country mile. The proof is in response. America is offensive whereas Russia is defensive.
In addition, by failing to implement free energy devices (they do exist boys and girls) in a timely manner, the West has delivered itself to the Russian bear who now controls over 50% of the oil cards (Straights of Hormuz through Iran and Russia’s own inventory). Nice strategy there G.W. Bush!
The credit and burgeoning oil crises will DESTROY America for good, as it will lead to global thermal nuclear warfare.

With the sad state of American and Russian relations, we must engage in an honest exploration and a clear focus on the imagined enemies. I read more and more opinions by Christian Americans [and Canadians], showing more and more dislike for the Jewish community that is seen as encouraging wars using American soldiers as if they are their own.
With more self-appraisal not by crazed individuals, but by decent Americans distressed over the rapidly deteriorating culture, we are beginning to see more Hostile Anti-Christian policies and the role of jews in that agenda.
Ordinary Americans and Canadians coping with the challenges of raising responsible kids in a violent smut riden world that many Jewish names and groups lead the fight for policies America’s Christians see as causing the country’s decline, If America simply abandons her Jewish run system, there will be no place for currupt Jews. They will move on or be forced to move as history shows they are often critized and kicked out of nations for turning them into their own self-serving enterprise, because that is how they do business. To this day we are seen as nothing but walking dollar signs with empty skulls to piss in. Nothing less.
America is now seeing a replay of what took place in Russia now in your own backyard. And how under the pwerful role the Zionists had, where secularized and anti-relgious jews, against the advice of many leading Orthodox rabbis, supported the Communist revolution. If we are going to win this thing, WE HAVE TO SPREAD THE WORD! Once a critical mass of aware individuals is achieved, we can begin to take the necessary steps in bringing the traitors and war criminals to justice, while also beginning to rebuild our country around the Constitution.
There are many ways to spread the word. You can make flyers or copy them from online. http://WWW.WEARECHANGE.ORG has what I believe to be the best 911 Truth flyer. On their homepage, just scroll down a little and look on the right. Also, you could make copies of important documentaries like Terrorstorm, Fabled Enemies and Endgame. On the front of the DVD copy, you could write something intriguing like “Are you ready for the Truth?”, “Above Top Secret Information”, “Classified Material”, “What your government doesn’t want you to know…”, or “It’s time to wake up and smell the fascism/corruption”.
You don’t necessarily have to even hand the flyers and/or DVD’s out to people. You could just leave them lying around for people to find. Remember to get permission, of course, when getting active on private property. I’m pretty sure this informative activism is legal on public property in every state in the U.S. You may want to check your local laws to be sure. Most every place is cool with it so long as you’re not SOLICITING (selling) information and/or materials. Make sure you know your laws and rights if some cop or security guard tries to stop you!!! (of course, we all know that in a TRULY FREE society we would never have to even worry about some insane, fascist laws prohibiting our 1st Amendment rightsa)
Don’t be afraid to get creative with your Information Warfare Tactics. What new, unique strategies can you apply in fighting the Information War? If you come up with something cool, videotape it or just tell us about it!

Well…..I really have to express my disappointment with the American peoples lack of perspective toward world events. It is truly embarrassing to hear comments from my fellow Americans, who have taken the bait, hook , line, and sinker. In contrast, my comment will be extremely unpopular but the facts are undeniable.
1. Depopulation and Pop. control is absolutely necessary on a GLOBAL scale.
2. A person can be smart but people are stupid, and dangerous. NEVER underestimate stupid people in large numbers. Its time to embrace the NWO and FEMA. It’s about survival and quality of life for everyone on this planet.
3. The truth is definately too much for Americans and people abroad to handle. They need to be controlled, manipulated, and managed for their own good. they obviously cant do it by themselves.

Didn’t you ever consider that the US elites might actually want Russia to shutdown oil pipelines leading to the West? That they want oil prices to be up around $200 per barrel so they can make even more money? Putin and Bush are friends, Bush “looked into Putin’s soul”! This entire episode may be the result of careful planning between the two of them to run the price of oil through the roof so that the elites of both countries get to make tons of money. Not everything that occurs in this world is for the advancement of the NWO, a lot of sh*t happens just to line the pockets of the rich…

If Russia injures the Dow or FTSE, the countries that will also get slammed the hardest will be China, India, and soon after, Russia itself. A million large and small factories in China will become empty without the developed world to buy and transact their products; India will stall without EU or U.S. need for their services; the world’s engines of growth will go into idle and stay parked, and the need for oil will collapse, along with its price.
London, NY, and Tokyo stock exchanges will stop expanding and the flow of capital to Russia will dry up – as a natural result of the imploding monetary system and intentionally as a result of not wanting to feed a rabid bear. And the EU will (or should), along with the U.S. keep the pressure on the Baltic areas as long as Russia keeps salivating over the Persian Gulf, and helps illiterate but power-hungry proxies like Iran develop WMDs.
“Oil Empire” will become an oxymoron: those with oil will wage wars against each other to control more of it. As T.E. Lawrence (of Arabia) said, “so long as the Arabs fight tribe against tribe, so long will they be a little people, a silly people – greedy, barbarous, and cruel.” If Russia joins that club, the idea of ever becoming an empire will be long gone.
The stakes are high. If Russia agrees to stop feeding their Iranian amoebas, the West will give them back their control of the Black Sea. The Persian Gulf can not be allowed to become a private lake owned by anyone. Iraq is simply a police station. It’s Russia’s move.

Disinformation. Pure fearmongering this infowars plays. Check out the article where Russia says that its not true that they plan to shut off the pipeline. All I see from this site is the creation of the illusion that it is the end of the world. That is how they make their profit. Alex Jones says this is a movement but I dont see any talks about setting up activist events or any kind of strategy to combat the NWo if this is a movement.

If I can’t do that, well… I’m better off dead I guess. Ruling elite, power, oil, materialism and paper money don’t hold a candle to a simple life and freedom and unfortunately we have given a small number of people, little by little, the power to take this freedom away. The BTC pipeline
Pipelines, even buried ones, are easy to sabotage as anyone who has followed the situations in Nigeria and Iraq knows. For many months now Kurdish separatists have threatened harm to the 1100 mile Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline that can transport as much as 1 million barrels/day from the Caspian Sea to tankers in the Mediterranean. Last week a fire began in Eastern Turkey closing the BTC pipeline which at the time was pumping about 800,000 b/d.
At first the Turks denied that the line was sabotaged, but after several press releases from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) claiming responsibility for the fire, they now appear to be waiting the results of an investigation.
The fire caused BP to declare force majeure on shipments of Caspian crude from Ceyhan. News of the fire briefly caused a rise in oil prices late last week, but this was soon overshadowed by the rising US dollar.
The BTC pipeline is still on fire with estimates for repairs running anywhere from two to five weeks. The situation was further complicated last week by the fighting in South Ossetia which resulted in Russian air attacks on the BTC pipeline and an oil shipping port inside Georgia.
BP had been redirecting part of its Caspian oil production to the Georgian Black Sea ports of Batumi and Kulevi, but by Saturday these exports were halted due the fighting.
Exports from Ceyhan are of increasing importance to the US and European oil supply. If the pipeline has been sabotaged by the PKK as they claim, it sets an important precedent and once again shows how vulnerable are the world’s oil and gas pipelines. The pipeline from Kirkuk in Northern Iraq has recently reopened after many years of continuous attacks partly because of increased security and partly because it is advantageous to would-be attackers to keep the pipeline open. These situations, however, are constantly in flux and renewed disagreements over the status of Kirkuk could easily lead to more pipeline closures.
