Save The Planet? How About Saving The Republic?

Yesterday, the Politico quoted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as saying, “I’m trying to save the planet; I’m trying to save the planet.” She was responding, of course, to pressure that she and her fellow Democrats are experiencing to suspend a congressional ban on offshore oil drilling in the face of skyrocketing energy prices. It would be really wonderful, however, if the liberal congresswoman could get as energized about saving our once great republic.
Herein lies another problem: the vast majority of our politicos (from both major parties) do not even seem to know what kind of country the United States was designed to be. Virtually every reference made to the United States by our civil magistrates is that we are a “democracy.” That’s odd; someone should have told our Founding Fathers, because they emphatically rejected the concept of creating a “democracy” in favor of creating a constitutional republic.
Has anyone quoted the Pledge of Allegiance lately? Does it say, “And to the democracy for which it stands”? Or does it say, “And to the republic for which it stands”? Of course it says “republic.”
At the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention, a passerby asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got–a republic or monarchy?” Franklin replied, “A republic–if you can keep it.”
Ladies and Gentlemen, that is the sixty-four million dollar question: Can we keep our republic? Can we keep our constitutional form of government? Can we keep our constitutionally protected liberties?
In Federalist No. 10, James Madison (”The Father of the U.S. Constitution”) said, “[D]emocracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”
The fear of what happens to freedom and liberty under democratic rule is what prompted Madison and the rest of America’s founders to labor so hard to create what they did: a constitutional republic.
Under God, it is allegiance to the Constitution that has preserved our liberties, our peace and happiness, our security, and our very way of life. Furthermore, it is the repudiation and rejection of constitutional government that is responsible for the manner in which these very same blessings are currently being lost.
Someone needs to remind Rep. Pelosi that it is not her duty (nor does she have the power) to “save the planet.” And by the same token, someone needs to remind Senators Barack Obama and John McCain that they are not campaigning to be President of the World, but President of the United States.

What every elected officeholder is expected and required to do is very simple: they are required to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Period. End of story.
Our public servants are not charged with saving the snail darter or the Spotted Owl, or saving the profits of the international bankers, or saving Wall Street in general, or saving the perks of corporate lobbyists, or saving Freddie and Fannie, or saving the peoples of the world from all the bogeymen, or even saving humankind or the planet itself. What our public servants are charged with, however, is preserving (saving) our constitutional republic.
Of course, the problem is, the people who are charged with the preservation of our republic are the ones who are the most responsible for its destruction. The American people have far more to fear from Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and John McCain than they do from any foreign adversary, because our leaders have proven that they have absolutely no fidelity to the principles of constitutional government. They have no compunction about eviscerating the protection of our freedoms, or about abolishing the vanguard of our liberties. They are Machiavellian, making King George of old look like a mere amateur.
No, I take that back. It is not our civil magistrates who are most responsible for the destruction of our republican form of government: it is “We the people.”
At the end of the day, it is the responsibility of the people to govern themselves. We must be willing to hold our civil magistrates accountable to the contract they made with us, which is to uphold constitutional government. It is our duty to “throw off” any system of government that does not secure our liberties and protect our Constitution. And this we have not done.
Christian pastors and ministers have failed us. The “Religious Right” has failed us. College professors have failed us. High School teachers have failed us. Newspaper editors and publishers have failed us. TV news anchors and reporters have failed us. Parents have failed. Friends have failed. The two major political parties have failed. As a whole, no one is talking about, or even thinking about, the loss of constitutional government, national independence, and sovereignty. Few seem even conscious that this is taking place.
Worrying about which major party wins a general election is like worrying about whether Coke or Pepsi sold more soft drinks last month. Pick your poison. One is just as bad as the other. Neither has any fidelity to the Constitution or to the principles of liberty, which it represents. Both John McCain and Barack Obama are enemies to constitutional government. Both are in the process of sacrificing our national sovereignty to global entities. Both men lied when they took an oath to preserve and protect the Constitution. So, why should we care which impostor wins the election?
It is up to the American people to enforce constitutional government. From a Christian perspective, it is “We the people” who are the “powers that be” in Romans chapter 13. Under our form of government, the source of authority and the source of legitimacy reside with “We the people.” We are not the slaves of any king or despot. Our elected leaders are public servants, not private masters. In a nutshell, they work for us. They are contracted to preserve our liberties and our way of life. When they fail, they must answer to us.
So, when will the American people pick themselves up by the bootstraps and start acting like free citizens and stop groveling before these imbecilic political parties? When will we set this political house in order?
Of course, all of this demands that each of us understands constitutional government and the principles upon which liberty rests. It also demands that each of us be prepared to do whatever is our personal duty to preserve this republic.
Patriotism is more than waving a flag on July 4th, or singing The National Anthem at a ball game, or wearing a flag lapel pin on Flag Day. For an American, real patriotism means that we are willing to preserve and protect our constitutional republic. Remember, Franklin’s answer: “A republic–if you can keep it.”
Nancy Pelosi can talk about saving the planet all she wants to: her duty, however, is to preserve, protect, and defend the U.S. Constitution. And that is also the job of every single American citizen. Unfortunately, most of us are no better at doing our job than Pelosi is at doing hers.

when will we (most Americans) realize that these people all belong to a club that is exclusive to their own kind. these people have never lived in the real world for the most part. take bush as an example…………..he was raised in a household of priviledge and knows not what struggles most of Americans go thru. that’s why in Congress there needs to be term limits. these jerks that want to become embedded in the system and live off the public trough have got to go. if there was a set amount of time to either do the work of the people and be out………….maybe they’d actually get something done other than spend most of their energy trying to get re-elected.

It takes intelligent, informed decision making to participate in and hold on to The Republic. Good luck getting Americans to turn off the TV long enough to develop such a trait.
It takes unity by the People to hold on to the Republic. Good luck getting people to forget about their differences and stop fighting.
It takes courage to hold on to the Republic. Good luck getting Americans to show any backbone, they wouldn’t even walk out of New Orleans to safety, just looted, and robbed, and cried that no one was coming to save them.
It takes vision for the People to hold on to the Republic. Good luck getting the People to see the truth when there is no news, only spin.
It takes desire for the People to hold on to the Republic. Maybe we’ll see it someday. But as long as they can distract us with bright lights and shiny objects (TV), I doubt we’ll complain that much as they tear our country apart, piece by piece, with no remorse. And to be honest, given the apathy of this country, I think that maybe we deserve what’s coming…

Well Jive, that is the most intelligent thing you have said, very good and I generally do….but the rats, not that I care, consider the constitution terrorist propaganda, thing about that is, for any maggot with a badge who betrays his loyalties by assaulting a citizen for carrying our supreme law around and being about to enunciate our Bill of Rights, that criminal has identified himself!
They dragged a women out of her car and arrested her while ridiculing her constitutional pamphlets etc., thing to do in that case is ID the perp with a badge and begin gathering intel on him, her or them, out them for the traitors they are and demand they be relieved of their position, not to the sold out police/sheriff dept, but to the civilians over their head who’s position is predicated on your vote, now realistically, that is not going to do a world of good, so then, this information should be retained for the day the balloon goes up!

What we should be fearing is the EU which are the manipulators and the creators of their NWO. Our Republic is in jeopardy if people like Pelosi and Hillary CLinton and others believe we live in a democracy which represents the ruling mob.
I don’t know if this is true, my dad heard on the radio that New Jersey is looking to sell it’s major highways to China. I don’t know if that’s true but china can sieze the opportunity to restrict travelers traveling on those roads and charge huge sums of money for its tolls. Unbelieveable that public servants are selling out for extra cash for their own selfish needs.

When the people tried to leave New Orleans, there were armed policemen that turned them back. When Walmart tried to deliver trucks of bottled water and supplies, there were armed guards that turned them back. Governments are supposed to help their people in times of crisis, they are not supposed to do what Bush and Fema did to those people–but they were practicing for their NWO. Don’t blame the victims here Big Mike.
If John Kennedy had been president, that would never have been allowed. But the NWO Bush f*ckheads murdered him. That murder went unsolved and we have been run completely by criminals since that time.

If you want to save your beloved Republic you have to stop the bleeding of your resources. That means putting a reign on the Fed’ Reserve. The Government of The USA has to stand up to the bank cabal and say enough is enough. Put the Fed Reserve in to bankruptcy and retake through the power of your government the reigns on your own economy.

After watching everything that’s happened in the past 7 years, along with considering history and it’s hard learned lessons, I finally understand the meaning of government sponsored corruption and terrorism.
Terrorism happens when ever a government allows and impliments agendas, that continually screws some group or the masses to the wall and refuses to correct it’s ways.
It is through the very complex laundry of corporate nepotism infiltrating government, giving way to corrupt taxation and allocations, involving the manipulation of currency into a corrupt lever supported by mainstream propaganda, that goes on to seize control of domestic and foreign policy that leads to revolution and war.
Those with enough brains to see the real enemy often become dissenters and if the athoritatrian sponsored abuse continues, you get terrorists.
Our government is now in the process of sponsoring and committing the biggest form of the Enron scandal against We the People, call it FEDRON, where they plan to not only rip off everyone’s life savings with inflated fiat currency, but also our national sovereignty and this demands that they strategiacally KILL the Constitution & Bill of Rights.
The mind screws of decapitating society in such a way, is comperable to breaking and entering and stealing all the loot, raping the women and killing any male of age that might pick up the family shot gun.
Realize of course that the perpetrators of such schemes do watch their own backs and know that not all are sleeping during the heist and get away and are always on the look out for sturring and waking souls that might fight back.
Thus we now see the implimentation of spying and collecting everyone’s personal data and the mounting of skulls on wooden stakes at the doors of our institutions, as the brown shirts and followers get ready to kill any that might oppose the actions of this psychopathic mind set.
It is devastating to see that my government has become an infected whore addicted to the isms of severe mental illness, where we now embrace the atrocities of Colligula by banning swear words while having a government that, “does it in our face,” calling it all, “perfectly legal.” The shear irony of impeaching Clinton for a consensual adult B job, but allowing the freak monster of the Bush administration to violate privacy, habeas corpus and commit torture, is 1000 times more vulgar than any consensual adult B job, where denial of such is accepted etiquette.
Soul vomit, I feel like I have to vomit from the bottom of my soul, as our government hot wires and hijacks society and the institutions we built to serve this country. The mind screws of grand lies, deceptions and propaganda, used to violate the very underpinning of this country is abominable and the Fed is very interested in WHO KNOWS and is more than willing to pass laws that silence all witnesses to the truth. To such an extent it reminds me of the phrase that, “dead men tell no tales,” soon to become our government’s favorite policy if it gets much worse.
That is, our now infected, whore government has become willing to kill, mutilate and destroy in order to remain a total addict and parasite to freedom.
You can paint a pretty picture of such a whore, but the rampages of a massive infection of this government’s syphilis-like mind set, for lack of more accurate words, has devastated this country in ways the whore refuses to acknowledge. This is the arrogance we now see.
As I head towards retirement and have worked my ass off all of my life to put some money aside for this tired old man that I now am, it is sickening to learn I am being hit with a grand FEDRON sponsored scheme, where my life savings and assets have been reduced by over 70% by the fiat money system, to bail out the elite wealthy.
Like the rest of all of you, I have been robbed. I have been robbed of my country, robbed by wars, robbed by the banksters, robbed of my civil rights – robbed! What is next, my government arriving in the form of crows to pluck out the eyes of an old man? Send my sons off to war to die?
Fuck them all, that is the lesson here, at every turn, nothing but lying blood suckers and it really makes me think, when should I turn and pick up a pitch fork. ENOUGH YOU SHIT HEADS, ENOUGH!!!
Of course it goes without saying, they fear any that have awakened. As an old man, now I am telling you all from a lifetime of experience, you’re next, and just like me and you will be robbed blind by these SOB’s. The soul purpose of public education and poverty of the old, is to make me appear a fool, just a silly old man soon to die, knowing that dead men tell no tales. Well, I am telling you, you had all better listen up, this is how it is and you’re next, all of you and you will not realize it until the deal is done.
We have a domestic enemy within and it’s this administraion in particular, but it also includes the many aspects of the banking system, corporate nepotisim infiltrating government, the CFR, FDA, AMA and the list goes on and on. This crap about terrorism, is simply a war against those that know, that have been screwed to the wall and are so sick and tired of it, that we oppose and seek to change it.
Flipping this into a reality awakening and realization, it is our own government that now sponsors terrorism into existence. And now our government and it’s elite fear all that understand this and so we now have a war that knows no national boudaries, even our own, where the Fed is making plans and passing laws to allow them to strike freely. This is the legislation and execution of government sponsored terrorism, where they make it all, “perfectly legal,” and why don’t they just bring back the camps with showers and ovens to silence the truth?

Saving the planet? This is the epitome of ignorance and arrogance. The planet was here long before us and will be here long after we’re gone. Like the articles Title advises, these political idiots need to be more concerned with saving the republic and saving ourselves as a species. Because of our attitude and lack of true spirituality (and I don’t mean religious dogma) human existence and the quality of it is much more endangered than mother earth. The sheeple may be asleep (but slowly awakening), but the NWO also are asleep to the metaphysical realities that truly give life meaning and purpose. True power is being and appreciating what we can offer to one another in a contructive and humane way. Controlling, killing and conquering is anti-life and ultimately anti-survival of our species. We’re in trouble. Not the planet.

You can’t fix others until you fix yourself first anyways. By attempting to fix someone or something else before fixing yourself is setting yourself (or in this case – our country) up for a co-dependent relationship. Apparently America is conditioned to be co-dependent and our social insurance programs prove that.
I’ve taken the steps to independence my friends. You can to. Nobody can fix this financial disaster, but the average american citizen (even though there is no such thing as an average american citizen). Learn commercial redemption and get on with your lives. Don’t let this system fool you any longer.

Pelosi must not allow oil exploration on US soil ! As a good servant of the NWO she has to make sure the drilling takes place in foreign countries and the debt grows grows grows. First off, I doubt I would take a step in doing more harm than good, one man out would only be a start that would need to followed up. I’m sure you wouldn’t leave your computer to raise a hand, I’m assured of that. The point of the comment is that until we, just as they do with stealth (wars & invasions), start to take lives, in this case some of the elitists, then we are only bitching and gripping. Our forefathers didn’t hold up signs of demonstrations, gather in groups to yell at the British with a bullhorn, didn’t go to the enemies camps and say to them that they are planning to kill us and they won’t get away with it, they didn’t write letters to each other calling each other names because they didn’t agree with the others view, and didn’t squabble over petty non-sense that contributed nothing to their cause.
They picked up arms, grabbed ammunition, mounted their horses and went to kick some ass.
If you read history you would know that by doing so, sent the bankers bank to England.
It’s called the Revolutionary War, and it was ultimately fought over taxes, among other issues, but taxation was the majority reason.
My point is that until we do something other than the things mentioned above, we are all just bitching and gripping like the little kid who hates whats going on, and wants it to change but continues to wait for someone else to change it.

In responce to Chuck Baldwin’s article;If the planet goes to crap then so will this country,the USA is located on planet earth.I usualy agree with pastor Chuck,but I am angered by the average christans lack of respect for creation.It seems that christans nearly always side with the development interests as if it would be a sin to enjoy creation just the way God made it,without asphalt,steel and other man-made artifacts all over the place.The bible instructs us to be stewards of creation,not destroy it or even improve it,we can not improve Gods work!A steward simply takes care of something,that is it,nothing more and nothing less.Many christans believe that because we are told to have dominion over nature, we have a permit to exploit and destroy.Common sense tells us this can not be the case,so what exactly does have dominion over mean? I strongly suspect that to have dominion over means to have knowledge of and love,or care for without fear.Of course we ae to take what we need to live from nature,but we should do so with respect for both the creator and for creation.I happen to be a person who if allowed by scociety I could sustain myself directly from nature,and leave a minimal amount of damage or even change to my surroundings.Of course I do not expect everyone to live with just what they need,but do we really have to have oil wells on every shore ,buildings everywhere,and roads across every acer of creation? I do not think we do,and I believe consideration is due to the wishes of those who obtain happiness from the enjoyment of undisturbed natural places.The American dream to me and many people like me is not a dream of material wealth and so called sucsess.There are many people who would like to be able to just enjoy nature and live subsistance lifestyles taking what we need from undestroyed ecosystems.Does the American dream have to be the same for everyone? If so then it is a dream of tyranny not freedom.
While I am on my soap box let me say this,I am sick and tired of people,even you Chuck, telling me what my duties are ! Free people choose their own responcibilities and they choose how best to fullfill those responsibilities. Slaves are told what their duties are ,not free people.This is something that really irks me about so many Americans,they are always trying to tell other people what their duties and rights are.If I am forced to accept a certain duty how am I free? If my only rights are what other people tell me they are than how is it that I am free? Perhaps if we all lived and let live,and really trusted in the God we say we believe in we would all be better of.And when I think about it if christans trusted in God and his creation maybe they would not think that we needed man-made contraptions to meet their needs all over the place .Gods grace expressed through his creation is suffecient for me.

Thank you for your support on all points but one. I appreciate it. However, concerning that one point, ask yourself this: What if those who had been turned away by armed guards at the city limits had gone back to the Dome, gotten 250+ friends and the gobs of TV cameras that were there (Flew them in, but with all the gear, didn’t have room for water), then went back and charged the roadblocks?
Free men, especially free men whose families were fighting for survival, would have gone through that roadblock or died like maggots under a blowtorch trying to get through it. They wouldn’t have meekly accepted things the way they were. No backbone. The welfare state has bred a subsect of Homo sapiens that require the government to hold their hands and tell them what to do in all things.

After rereading what I wrote ealier, I would like to take the opportunity to clarify that I am not being racist in post #52. It didn’t even cross my mind when I wrote post #52. I’m sorry for my lack of thought in not specifying that, and I apologize for any slight, such was not my intention. I believe that it doesn’t matter what race, creed, gender, etc. you are, we’re all in this together. I also believe that the government did have a moral responsibility to aid those in New Orleans, and failed miserably. They also failed the thousands of “working poor” who were scattered across the country with literally nothing left but the love of family and friends.
But I do not condone, in any way, shape, form, or fashion, anyone who would rather loot and riot rather than devise a plan to 1) see to the immediate safety of their immediate family, 2) obtain portable water and nonperishable food items, (NOT big screen TVs, you’re power is out…) 3) attempt to find a means of exiting the city to get to help. The government can’t keep millions of illegal aliens from pouring across the border, they certainly weren’t going to stop determined citizens familiar with their environment from leaving that city.
I do not believe that this behavior is limited to any one race, either. I know a whole lot of white people who would be looting, getting drunk, and shooting guns. I’m related to more than just a few, let me assure you.
The whole episode was just disturbing to me. I think it was the first time that America has been exposed to lawlessness and the actions of base humans when the system is turned off. I think that “We the People” need to take a good look at ourselves before we start calling for Revolution. We are not, at our most base level, capable of life without authority, for such is the definition of human existence. Someone HAS to be in control of me, it is simply preferable for me if I’m the one in control of myself. We don’t need a lawless mob to take back our power as “The People”. There are non-violent boycotting practices we could pursue at the risk of zero human lives. Those should be our first options. We must remain in control of ourselves before we can ever hope to affect the world around us in any positive fashion.

I love the Constitution and my “unalienable rights” but here’s the problem with “unalienable rights” you must have “UNALIENABLE RESPONSIBILITIES” and therein lies the problem. people want the freedom without the responsibilities,but I tell you, the more I talk to the average American the more I see that they really don’t care about freedom, they just want comfort, which makes me very sad, especially for the few of us. ATLAS I say, when will we shrug? the few can only protect the majority for so long and I fear we are losing the battle. But i still have hope and will carry the words of the Founding Fathers to my grave .in a few years we truly will be and quite possibly already are Abolished Citizens.
