SACRAMENTO, CA – Gov. Schwarzenegger has signed an order that will send the California National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to help stem illegal immigration.
Schwarzenegger indicated his support in June when President Obama announced the deployment of 1,200 National Guard members to secure the nation’s southwestern border.
As part of that support. the governor’s office announced Friday the temporary deployment of 224 California National Guard troops to the California-Mexico border.
