SPPI’s authoritative Monthly CO2 Report for July 2009 announces the publication of a major paper by Professor Richard Lindzen of MIT, demonstrating by direct measurement that outgoing long-wave radiation is escaping to space far faster than the UN predicts, showing that the UN has exaggerated global warming 6-fold.Report, page 3.
Lindzen’s paper on outgoing long-wave radiation shows the “global warming” scare is over. Thanks to recent peer reviewed papers that have not been mentioned in the mainstream news media, we now know that the effect of CO2 on temperature is small, we know why it is small, and we know that it is having very little effect on the climate. Page 3.
The IPCC assumes CO2 concentration will reach 836 ppmv by 2100, but, for almost eight years, CO2 concentration has headed straight for only 570 ppmv by 2100. This alone halves all of the IPCC’s temperature projections. Pages 5-6.
Since 1980 temperature has risen at only 2.5 °F (1.5 °C)/century, not the 7 F° (3.9 C°) the IPCC imagines. Pages 7-9.
Sea level rose just 8 inches in the 20th century and has been rising at just 1 ft/century since 1993. Sea level has scarcely risen since 2006. Also, Pacific atolls are not being drowned by the sea, as some have suggested. Pages 10-12.
Arctic sea-ice extent is about the same as it has been at this time of year in the past decade. In the Antarctic, sea ice extent – on a 30-year rising trend – reached a record high in 2007. Global sea ice extent shows little trend for 30 years. Pages 13-15.

The more I look into the global warming issue, the more I quesiton whether it is a political issue or scientific issue.
I opened pdf link at the website source – http://scienceandpublicpolicy......uly_09.pdf – and at first thought it looked pretty hokey. But I happen to notice some of the citations were from various universities – e.g. in Illinois, Arizona, Florida, etc. I did a simple google search to see if indeed these sources were correct. From the small sample I chose, these sources were indeed valid according to the respected university sites.

I was having a similar problem, I would post several comments and they wouldn’t be there, then 5, 10 sometimes up to 30 minutes later all the comments would post. and sometimes i would of double, triple, even quadruple posted. Other times if i would comment several times, some comments wouldn’t “take” to the site while others do, then i repost and they stick.
I’m pretty sure its a technical thing, the server takes is being taxed so its lagging badly, and random time outs where the data is flat out lost, so it needs to be retransmitted.
I have started the habit of typing out all my comments in note pad and then copy paste and wait till the site has taken the comment.
Now as far as it posting, hitting refresh several times and its still there then several minutes or hours later, then i would say its someone modding the comments. but I’ve generally never had that problem.

the reason for global warming is the sun that why all the other planets have been getting warmer there is a connection between the sun spot activity and rising temp there was time in the medivalk times when the temp was way hotter there was scare mongering going on in the 50s when tempetures where dropping and there was the same scare tactics used but with colder temps.

Just turned the channel onto TBS at about 11:45am est, and they were showing a movie called ” The Truman Show” and in the couple minutes I was watching they were showing the guy controlling the show, CONTROLLING THE WEATHER. I can’t really say much more because I only watched it for about 3 minutes so if your curious to see it, your going to have to watch it and find out because I don’t really know much about that movie. All i can say is they are showing you they can control the weather as unbelievable as is sounds, its true.

Take a glass and fill it with ice, take some water and fill the glass of ice to the top, now just let it sit, when you look at the glass of ice water you will see the ice melts but the water stays the same in the glass. I suggest anybody who likes looking at REAL DATA to make up their mind download the PDF file (CO2 Report) at the linked site. The graphs speak for themselves and ARE NOT MISLEADING.
Crazycanuck, although your point about increased humidity (and THINKING!) is valid it’s also FULLY ADDRESSED in the PDF report. The mechanisms that reduce the GREENHOUSE EFFECT of water-vapour as well as CO2 etc. are mentioned. I’m reading up on this right now from other research sources.
Basically, the idea that increased humidity increases temp. thus further increasing humidity spiralling at an exponential rate (as the IPCC models claim) is DISPROVED. The papers deal with PROVEN factors that OFFSET the effect of humidity to break this exponential PROPHECY, factors that add BALANCE, a PULSATING EQUILIBRIUM if you like. The papers PROVE how infra-red and other EM wavelengths escape. Raising and lowering of humid air zones are very important apparently…
This report put my mind at ease for now but as usual, will keep it OPEN!!
