SEC Persecutes Mark Cuban for Relationship with Loose Change

It’s a classic example of political persecution: a billionaire entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks who financed an antiwar film and a landmark 9/11 documentary is the target of an SEC civil suit alleging insider trading.

So obvious and egregious is the persecution of Cuban, the New York Times wrote on November 17: “Did Mark Cuban, the Internet entrepreneur turned owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team, and would-be buyer of the Chicago Cubs, violate insider trading laws in a particularly egregious fashion? Or is he the victim of a political hit job because he helped finance a movie that was scathingly critical of President Bush?”
As the New York Times points out, Cuban may have been targeted not so much for his financing of Brian De Palma’s antiwar movie, Redacted, but rather for his involvement with another controversial film: Loose Change.

“A person close to Mr. Cuban provided me with a copy of an e-mail message said to have been sent by Jeffrey Norris, an S.E.C. lawyer in the Fort Worth regional office,” writes Floyd Norris (no relation to the SEC lawyer) of the New York Times. “This e-mail message seems to have been sent after an exchange in which Mr. Norris complained that Mr. Cuban had financed a movie called ‘Loose Change’ that discusses the president’s actions relating to Sept. 11.”
In the email sent to Cuban, Floyd dismisses the viewpoint presented in the documentary as a “conspiracy theory” and accuses Cuban of “smearing the good name of a patriot like President Bush.” He then promises to send the email to Christopher Cox, the chairman of the SEC who was nominated for that position by Bush. Although there is no actual evidence, it appears the outraged Mr. Norris may have provided the SEC with the idea of going after Mark Cuban for daring to declare his intention of financing Loose Change, not for any serious criminal behavior in regard to stock trading.
Since Chairman Cox may not know the background, I will explain. Mark Cuban is the owner of the Dallas Mavericks and has participated in distributing the vicious and absurd documentary, “Loose Change,” which posits that President Bush planned the demolition of the World Trade Center as a pretext for going to war against Iraq. We have had some past exchanges about my opinion the Mr. Cuban’s support for this project is irresponsible and immoral.

In fact, the Loose Change documentary does not directly accuse Bush of planning the September 11, 2001, attacks, but then neocons and Bush supporters seem to specialize in misrepresenting the facts and making absurd allegations.
On Numerous occasions, Bill O’Reilly used his nationally syndicated bully pulpit to attack Mark Cuban for his association with Loose Change. He also attacked Charlie Sheen and Rosie O’Donnell.
It should be noted that unlike Sheen and O’Donnell, Mark Cuban claims he does not believe the theories posited by Loose Change. “I don’t believe the movie. Not at all,” Mr. Cuban told James Ragland of the Dallas News. “But I do believe that lies in the shadows are far more dangerous than lies you can confront and refute. There probably will be a movie that responds to this one, and we would be more than happy to distribute it as well, for the very same reason.” Bill O’Reilly, however, vehemently disagrees and considers the very existence of Loose Change as unpatriotic and treasonous.
Regardless of Mark Cuban’s opinion on the events of September 11, 2001, the unmistakable conclusion, as the New York Times alludes, is that Cuban has fallen afoul of the SEC not because he is an inside trader, but rather because he has financed one film critical of the government and planned to finance another, the latter a film that questions the official version of 9/11, an unspeakable heresy in the political environment shaped by the criminal neocons who brought about a “new Pearl Harbor” in order to realize their agenda of mass murder and unchecked global imperialism.
Addendum
It should be noted that Mark Cuban never financed the production of Loose Change. He backed out from his commitment after Bill O’Reilly made his attacks.

If Cuban did something illegal he did something illegal. This article doesn’t dispute the legality of what he did or didn’t do; it merely points to allegations against him as being reprehensible.
That’s what enemies do to each other. When one of them screws up, the other attacks them. It’s not different from what Cuban is trying to do to Bush; a person he obviously dislikes and distrusts. He should have kept his nose clean.

In the above segment with O’Reilly and Gallagher, the reason O’Reilly wants to stay away from 9/11 is because he KNOWS 9/11 was an inside job. On the other hand, Gallagher looks clueless. Doesn’t Gallagher find it curious that in all the dismissive remarks by O’Reilly, O’Reilly never once counters or factually contradicts any part of 9/11 Truth. If I was arguing against something, I would have my facts all lined up ready to go.
Gallagher is in the small minority of public figures that doesn’t know about 9/11. That why his idea of shedding light on 9/11 and 9/11 Truth is hardly ever considered.

Given the childish comments from supposedly “learned” journalists it wouldn’t surprise me if these less than professional “debates” were not purposely designed to elicit irrational emotions and play on people’s ignorance. Even a cursory examination of the 9/11 Commision Report shows a willful and arrogant indifference to the truth. The Commission chairman stated publicly that he didn’t think tracking the money that funded the attacks was “all that important”. All of the debris at Ground Zero was confiscated by Federal agents, major public figures were told not to go into the downtown area that day, firefighters, police officers and citizens heard several explosions going off before and after the towers were hit, flimsy identification papers linking al-Queda (a CIA-funded group), were found intact at Ground Zero while reinforced steel girders melted. To this day the Pentagon has released only two inconclusive videos that don’t even come close to showing a commercial jet hitting the building. Every expert in aeronautical engineering has agreed that debris at the Pentagon did not come from a plane of that size, no bodies or human remains of any knind were found there or on a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Throughout the entire time these atacks were under way not one single military aircraft responded. Not one single military counter-action was taken anywhere in the United States.
Silverstein, newly-aquired owner of the World Trade Center complex admitted on television that a decision was made to “pull it down” referring to Building 7. The 911 Commission Report unbelievable stated they “don’t know how” Building 7 collasped. Building 7 contained, amongst other things, sensitive information on major financial and political figures. The people who pose the single biggest threat to the NWO and their puppets are those that step out of the false reality created by these creeps and express doubts, ask questions and remove the blinders from their eyes. Insider Trading is an easy one to get someone for. If you are strading shares then you will want to know about the company you are trading. How much knowldge is too much? The more you know the better decision you can make. Practically all successful share traders know more about what the company is up to than is strictly allowed. This is one of those selective enforcement things. Make everybody illegal then you can prosecute anyone you feel like.

Who’s defending the movie Mike Gallagher. So they have a panel of not one neo con but TWO. That seems fair, and the second clip is even worse, because it is more deceiving, Colmes is not a liberal, never has never will be, he just plays one on t.v. So it looks to the naked eye that Hannity is have a well balanced discussion, when in fact it’s 3 vs 1.
Personally the liberal media gives much more understanding of films like loose change. Rosie O’Donnell is a hard core liberal, yet would agree with most of what Alex Jones would have to say (except when it comes to gun control!!!).
The next four years are the crucial years for films like loose change, because it can now be questioned openly, amongst the new democratic government. It’s a complete and total shift, and we know how republicans felt questioning there president, it’s now up to the newly elected president to bring these arguments to the table.
It’s all a question of presentation really, if you try to attack individuals then the message will get distorted, but if you say that we will now be re examining the evidence so that we can prevent these events from occuring. WELL, that’s how you get it done, and by making the results public the rest will happen on it’s own.
As is Bush will never be welcome in his state of Texas ever again (that’s why he bought the 100+ acres of land in south america, and Dubai (which is illegal by the way, no president is allowed to accumulate PRIVATE assets during his presidency, another fact that makes Bush the criminal that he is).
The list goes on and on with this guy and yet, no impeachment, no retaliation, NOTHING, from the liberal democrats. All they do is fix the mistakes, but they never get rid of the Neo Con criminals. Did you see the headlines today? BMO, or Bank of Montreal, which owns Harris Bank, admitted to having a rogue trader cheat them out of $853M in gas derivatives.
All along until they got caught with their pants down, the BMO executives lied and stalled…
much like the Bush Administration, and worse (since I agree with Tarpley, Bush himself was probably out of the loop)
So boycott banks like BMO/Harris, take your money out of institutions who believe that they can lie, lie, lie… we’re sick of this and we won’t take it any more!
