Senate Passes Bill to Grab 2 Million Acres in 9 States

WASHINGTON – The Senate on Thursday passed a long-delayed bill to set aside more than 2 million acres in nine states as protected wilderness, from a California mountain range to more than 1,000 miles of rivers.

The Senate first approved the measure in January, but it was defeated last week in the House amid a partisan dispute over a plan to allow concealed, loaded guns in national parks.
The legislation — a package of nearly 170 separate bills — would confer the government’s highest level of protection on land ranging from California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range and Oregon’s Mount Hood to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and parts of the Jefferson National Forest in Virginia.
Land in Idaho’s Owyhee canyons, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan and Zion National Park in Utah also would win designation as wilderness, and more than 1,000 miles of rivers in nearly a dozen states would gain protections.

if we the people would just reclaim our “sovereign citizenship” things of this nature could never happen, because as is stands as of right now if you have not reclaimed your “sovereign citizenship” you have no rights no declaration of independence rights, amendment rights, or any other right for that matter, THIS IS FACT that has been proven in the courts time after time,the only thing you have is 14th amendment privileges which can be given or taken at any time by the grantee.
see now i know that many of you think its just a null adhesion contract that was voided by the state or federal government abuse, but that is simply not the case, because as long as whatever is being done is being done to a people who have a “birth certificate” no matter what it is, they can do it with the backing of the courts because the grantees are sovereign people who are making things and restricting things from a non- sovereign people within a sovereign state within a united corporation. and so, by reclaiming your sovereign citizenship, it restores all the rights that you where given at birthright by the state in which your born, the sovereign people would be able to make decision with the full backing of the declaration of independence, and the amended rights which where exchanged for “privileges” through adhesion contracts, please i challenge anyone who does not believe me or think im in left field about this. please people it is the only other way then revolution to make the government get back into its proper smaller place working the the People!!!

The ironic part is the Federal Government cannot claim any land in any State, it has to pay for it in a lease agreement with the State. The States (people) own the land, not Washington DC or Congress. haha.

Uh, those countries have been doing stuff with our land for years…you don’t see it happening because you like the rest of the unassuming public are expecting the fictional open hostile take-overs and invasions complete with foreign flag raising. In reality, these kind of takeovers are initiated and concluded by multi-national corporations headquartered in those other countries, who then buy US corporations and through them, buy the land for real cheap from the Feds to make it seem legitimate to the public eye. That’s how they can cash in on the collateral.

Most of the land is already within national park boundaries and is designed to prevent encroachment by development. Wilderness are protection means it takes an act of congress to modify its boundaries or build on it. That is why its taking so long for ANWAR to be drilled. I think this is a good thing and nothing to worry about. I really hope this adds further protection to mono lake since LA has been draining it so people can water their lawns.

interesting. Understanding the impact of water use and reducing this impact by sane methods makes more sense. If people would stop using water for lawns in the desert maybe there would be water for crops. Irrigating a desert or creating a desert to make energy is stupid and going to hurt plenty of people and the ecology of the whole region, plus, the people it makes rich are the already rich and the poor just become more dependent.
the railways, airways, telephone lines, and many other public works projects always get sold to large corporations and the people don’t even get to see that money returned to them. Instead they paid in taxes to have it created and then they pay even more to be allowed to use it.

This land that has been set aside as designated wilderness areas will be off limits to most forms of development,however these lands will be open to the public”thats us” for all sorts of outdoor activities,including fishing, hunting ,and in many cases the gathering of wild edibles. I do not know about you,but quite frankly I appreciate having places to fish,hunt qand even do some light gold paning to suppliment my meager income. Wilderness activities are as American as you can get,and by God, no one should have to pay a private landowner to be able to get out and enjoy nature. Now I know that the motives for setting these lands aside may not be all on the up and up,thats why everyone should make it a point to stop whinning and join local and national public land advocates and help make sure these lands are protected for all of us to enjoy.
The fact of the matter is that one day some of us may appreciate having a wilderness area or two to call home as opposed to a FEMA instalation. Yep they can find you if they look for you,but if you are way off in a wilderness aea and pose no threat to them they may just leave you alone.Also it will be a heck of a lot harder for the evil ones to find you in a wilderness than in a developed area.In the event of martial law ,if you know what you are doing you stand a good chance of avoiding detection in a huge wilderness area.

Oh some folks will make it,probably not city folks and urban folks and most county folks but a few will,I know fellas(and gals) who can fire off a rifle ,kill a deer,and pack it off all while the boys in green sit in their rigs and eat donuts,seen it done many times,love it,the NWO wont win.

you know it is pathetic. I really do not see anyone actually standing up….. like standing on the street corners or gathering at the IRS building refusing to pay any more taxes. All I see are people just talking. But that is going nowhere. I know violence will play into their hands but did the revolutionaries worry about that when they took on the British. WE outnumber THEM people. And we sure as hell have a lot more guns. They have complete control of the government already. Just look at the bailout. You had 97 % of people against it. EVERYONE and their dog called, wrote letters and screamed to the top of their lungs NO, HELL NO….. what happened? it passed anyway. Because we the people are no longer represented. If you read your constitution I think this is the time we the people start shooting and demand the central dictators stand down. They are not carrying out their oath to preserve and defend the constitution. quite the opposite. Every day there is just a little more intimidation to free speech. I don’t see any other way, if you do please say something. Where are the military in all of this. What do they say?
I say they are readying for martial law because they know that decent Christian people are waking up to find their country has been stolen and they would rather live free or die.
Now, watch there be a knock at my door! I have told everyone around me that if I disappear they will know why. I just don’t understand people going off to a foreign war and taking orders from a commander in chhief who never fought a day in his life but they refuse to stand up for their own hard earned labor’s fruits and their own families and communities freedom to conduct business and not be stolen from. It has finally happened. The late great United States.
