Senators turn back ID requirement for immigrant healthcare

Finance Committee ranking member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said that current law and the healthcare bill under consideration are too lax and leave the door open to illegal immigrants defrauding the government using false or stolen identities to obtain benefits.
Grassley’s amendment was beaten back 10-13 on a party-line vote.
The bill, authored by committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.), would require applicants to verify their names, places of birth and Social Security numbers. In addition, legal immigrants would have to wait five years, as under current law, after obtaining citizenship or legal residency to access federal healthcare benefits such as Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program or receive tax credits or purchase insurance through the exchange created by the legislation.

Now this is one place that I do believe the Government can & should intervene!!! How are we suppose to keep the Illegals out & get ride of the one we have here now, if our elected officials can’t pass legislation to prevent & get rid of the invaders? Being they are here Illegally, according to the Constitution, it is the Governments JOB, to keep Law & Order. Illegal Citizenship is just that, ILLEGAL! So that is where the Government is suppose to come in, it’s why the Founders established one! The U.S. Government has always rounded up illegals before, in times of financial crisis, why shouldn’t they do it now? Am I missing something here? Anyone & everyone who comes to America, should take pride in our Culture, our Language (English), our History, & most importantly, our Laws!!!! This use to go without saying, but now days it’s not PC, or you’re a racist for saying it??? I don’t care, they need to give a “Real ID’ to everyone who comes into the Country! Also, if you’re caught employing illegal workers, then you get an automatic prison sentence, period! That would clean up our Country & hopefully preserve the spirit of America for just a little longer? Just Maybe?? I do not like to sound as though I condone persecution of any one race, but, I believe these immigrants get what they deserve. Yes, Yes, I understand that your life is horrible in Mexico, so launch a revolution, or here’s a novel idea, obtain American Citizenship legally, pay your taxes and be involved as a citizen. But no, they only want to enjoy the Freedoms, Liberties, Welfare, and Security that this Country provides… You might argue “But Vendetta (whiny tone), they are people too and they are just doing the jobs Americans won’t do (again, whiny liberal tone).” Well here’s a kick, there are a lot of Americans looking for work this very instant.
If you run a business, and can’t afford to pay full price for labor, you are running it inefficiently. By the rules of nature and capitalism (capitalism is the economic system that most closely resembles nature and natural selection), you should fail if you cannot perform legally and honestly. Anybody care to argue that point?
Point being, I have no sympathy for these people, but that statement is too passive. I actively hope for the demise of anyone here illegally, bleeding off of the greatness of this country in some way, shape, or form. They remind me of a parasite, leaching off of it’s host, not contributing one shred of support to the overall system, and only absorbing the benefits of is latched victim.
If you actively justify illegals’ presence here, you might want to look up the definition of “Stockholm Syndrome,” because you are suffering from it, and should probably seek professional help to get your head screwed on straight (they can do that now, thanks the the modern advances in medicine, due to the pressures of capitalism).

“GREED”, pure and simple is the reason that people employ illegals. Some of them are very efficient while others are morons that could not even balance a checkbook. Either way they are criminals and should be prosecuted.
Their profit margin is much higher because they pay illegal wages at the expense of all the folks in this country that do obey the laws.
American citizens do lay brick,pour concrete,tie steel.hang,steel and even cut yards and do landscaping. Somewhere in our history nearly every profession practiced in this country was taught to others white men. If we were prejudice we could have limited our teaching to only digging ditches or picking produce but we have taught the other races our professions because we did desire that they get a fair wage on a competitive scale. It back-fired because now crooked business men are working folks at starvation wages and killing the jobs that should be going to our sons and daughters. The idea that Americans do not want some jobs is a lie. Hell we taught them how to do those jobs. We simply will not work for crooked people that still believe in slavery. Maybe we need to get it through our heads that those crooked folks are not surrounded by an army of secret service cops and are very approachable. Sometimes starting at the bottom and working your way up works real good.
Don’t call me prejudice. I am happily raising three little mexican kids that were abandoned and enchilatas are one of my favorite foods.

The fact is… a large percentage of Americans won’t stoop to perform certain tasks! Many will hold out of work until they get something that’ll reflect thier status. Others… well… we know what the unions have done…
Besides… many of the younger generations are now refusing to get educated and hold a job period! Many, like the idea of living off the parents… and yet still, many parents unsatisfied with their accomplishments in lives cater and enable their children… and keep feeding them with housing and ongoing financial protection.
Get a good education so you can get a good job! Isn’t that the American way? To title jobs as “good” means that there are jobs that aren’t good… right?
Thinking otherwise is backwards thinking. And the idea that “GREED” is behind the whole agenda is by far, ludicrous. Who taught you that thinking? Did you read that in a magazine?

I have worked beside some very skilled and knowlegeable illegals, both in industrial pipefitting and land surveying. Some excelled while some were just average. In all cases they were all getting paid atleast 5.00 per hour less than I for the same type tasks. I was not a union employeeand was making approx. 1.00 per hour less than the union journeymen were making. The illegals were knocking Americans out of work because the simply because they raised the company profits by working a lot cheaper.
That is where I got my information about greed.
They were able to work cheaper because they violated housing laws by living three or four families to a two bedroom rent house and drove without liability insurance. They took their kids to chairity hospitals and we the tax payers paid the medical costs even though American citizens had to be treated after waiting for hours because illegals were treated first.
These guys did not insist on equal wages because if they had,then the company would have rather hired guys that spoke English.
Nobody uses the American wellfare system any better or anymore than the illegals do. I am not attempting to argue that there aren’t plenty of American system-suckers. There are and the culprits as a rule are the same color of the folks that are tasked with checking the qualifications of the aplicants. Some folks get checked out very throughly while some are approved on the spot.[by checked out I mean the varification of incomes and each person's particular situation] Go to any state,city,county,or federal office that administers government aid and observe just who is holding 90% of those jobs. It ain’t white folks!

The illegals that I’ve met… don’t do any of those things. Mainly in fear of retaliation and deportation…
The illegals that I’ve seen over the years, don’t take off work… aren’t late for work… aren’t drinking and smoking pot on the job site… etc.
The Mexicans that I’ve met are being taken advantage of by employers, landlords and other places of business… all because they’re Mexicans. They bite they’re tongue…
I don’t know of any illegals that are using the welfare system… never met even, one. They don’t use hospitals unless of an extreme emergency… they don’t use doctors, food stamps… and can’t file income taxes either…
The fact is… the American system takes advantage of the illegals…

In accordance with Vendetta, illegal immigrants must submit to justice or be deported and the land and resources must go to the rightful owners.
*The original inhabitants were murdered or driven off, the usurptions white washed with pen and parchment in the farse called “treaties”.
*Many of the lands overrun by “illegals” such as Florida, Texas, California, etc, are territories stolen from Spain and Mexico. Andrew Jackson invaded Florida, taking advantage that Spain was weak from fighting for their survival against France ( is there any better example of cowardice, eh paisano?), and after a laughable “sale” of Florida at gunpoint, the US signed a treaty saying they would not lay claims on Texas /other Spanish territory (Adams-Onís Treaty).
So of course if its a US treaty… it must be broken. And so Texas was invaded with US immigrants who would not keep the law – not paying taxes and having slaves (ring a bell, stunad?). So these unlawful immigrants “seceded” and you know the rest… Mexico had to pay with the rest of its northern territories for the gall to protect its land from being stolen. Vendetta, if you are to weak in the testa to understand this let me put it in a simplerway: its like the US have cubans declare Miami a new nation….
*Then again, Puerto Rico, Phillipines and other Spanish territories also become part of the US land grab. Spain did not want to sell its territories, especially Cuba, so there was “terror attack” of the USS Maine by the “Spanish terrorist”. I never understood how that “Spanish mine” was able to climb on board , make its way to bunker A16 and burn suspiciously like coal setting off ammunition….

What don’t people understand about the word ILLEGAL??? I’m all for a reasonable amount of LEGAL IMMIGRATION. There are approx. 15 MILLION LEGAL AMERICAN CITIZENS currently out of work, yet 8 MILLION ILLEGALS are employed. I’m sick and tired of hearing the beaten to death phrase, “They only do the jobs that Americans won’t do.” Believe me when you’re out of work and your employment benefits have run out, you’ll do just about ANYTHING to put food on the table and pay the bills! The ILLEGALS work here and send MILLIONS of US dollars back to Mexico. It doesn’t even stay in our economy! Those of them who are not working receive welfare, compliments of our tax dollars. They receive food stamps, medical care at emergency centers (they just “pad” our medical bills). Their children are educated through the public school systems, which are bursting at the seams (in New Jersey anyway). More than 40% of our property taxes go to the school system. My taxes will soon be going up approx. $1900.00 per year, which will make them more than $7,500.00 per year and I don’t live in a McMansion or an upscale area. We DO NOT NEED IMMIGRATION REFORM. We just need to enforce the immigration laws that we currently have! They don’t have the guts or maybe just not the brains to revolt against their own government, so they come here en mass to leech off of the Americans.

As part of the North American Union this makes perfect sense when coupled with the Hellcare bill they are still trying to push through. Free hellcare and dont even have to prove who you are would sound rather tempting to someone living in poverty conditions. Hell a 20% chance to find work is better than a 3% chance. Add in one of last weeks headlines talking about how they are making sure to understaff the boarder patrol. Seems like an open invitation to me. What I find Weird is how anyone can think they are being opressed and just flee from one city to the next, country to country or think they have to run at all? A new government audit claims the program to radically increase electronic surveillance along the US border with Mexico is years behind schedule and has run billions of dollars over initial projections. The Government Accountability Office says the network of cameras, radars and fences won’t be completed until 2016, instead of the initial plan for later this year. Our jail and prison system simply does not have the room or finances for all the illegals in this country BUT we sure do have the room and means to lock up every employer that hires an illegal.
It is the employers that cause the problems more than the illegals. Cut off the head and the tail will die.
Most folks think that illegals only mow yards or make-up motel beds. That is a serious misconception.
I worked on the construction of the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport back in the early and mid 70’s most of that airport was built by illegals hired by a very large company out of San Antonio Tx. Ever couple of months the immigration folks would roll in with several full size busses and several full size vans. The guys that wanted to go home for a while and visit therie families would just hang around and get on the bus. They would take a couple of weeks of and get a free ride to Mexico. The guys that were not ready to go would simply hide out in some of our underground utility ducts.
Two or three weeks later all the guys that had got on the bus were back working again. Several thousand guys were working on any given day and most of them were illegal. These guys were equipment operators,carpenters, mechanics,etc.
Nothing has changed except that the U.S. does not even come out to the job site anymore. The companies that do this are very large political contributors and some of our elected officials even own big chunks of these companies. Their profits and dividends would be severly cut should our immigration and labor laws suddenly start being enforced.
