You can put lipstick on a bailout, but it’s still a bailout!!!!
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:11 am
only 25 patriots alive !
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:11 am
Thankyou to you all who did the right thing and didn’t screw the American paople. Clap clap clap…
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:14 am
25 patriots minus people like Sam Brownback who were “allowed” to vote no to save their seat in 09.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:24 am
Surprise Suprise. I’m from Washington State and one of our senators voted against the bill. Thank you Maria Cantwell!
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:35 am
A bail out would be, the banks have to pay the money back…. In this case, its a ripoff because the taxpayer has to pay it back.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:35 am
I’m curios Alex. Could you give us a list of the yes votes who are not up for reelection this year or have no credible opposition?
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:36 am
Brownback is my Senator and so is Roberts… they both voted no .. hooray.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:41 am
After reading that the senate version went from @110 pages to @451 pages I imagine that the impact on the citizens is going to be worse than we could ever imagine. It is very seldom that anything is done for the good of the country by this crime organization called the US Congress. It also sounds like this version had been written for some period of time because of its length and the various riders that are incorporated into it. We shall find out if we truly have a representative government very shortly. Evidently the senate has already decide that we don’t deserve one and that their intellect is so superior that the opinions of the people do not need to be considered. It is a shame that we the people have been so apathetic that we have been overrun by this cowd of hustlers and the likes of our presidential candidates.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:47 am
I’m pleased to see that both of my senators voted no.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:02 am
I am displeased that both my senators and my representative voted for the bill.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:03 am
The reason this flew through so quickly is because they have “dirt” on all these senators. Since the senate has more power, the senators have to be controllable. You can bet those 75 were threatened with something. The house is harder to pressure because there are so many and the terms are so short.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:05 am
Very interesting both my senators voted no. Mary Landrieu who is up for reelection this saturday and David Vitter who got busted cheating on his wife. I have a feeling I’m going to be seeing Landrieu’s pig face on commercials saying, “I voted no to the bankers. . .and blah blah blah” (cringe)
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:13 am
It’s strange how the only one that didn’t vote was recovering from a brain tumor. Maybe that was caused because of it. Or he just wan’t available at the time.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:18 am
I’m pissed off to see that both of mine voted yes.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:22 am
To the Senaters that voted yes includin Iowa’s 2, (D) Harkin & (R) Grassley?
Cocksuckers! SHIT for Brains,Fuck’in Idiots, Fuck Face, Hey LARD ASS, Cock-sucker, Mother-fuckers, Goooooooooooooo Fuck yourselves!
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:26 am
When this bill was passed, it caused the price of silver, and gold to drop in price.
Take advantage of it, and buy gold and silver while the prices are at a bargain.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:31 am
I am disgusted yet not surprised that our two Senators, Boxer & Feinstein (the Laurel & Hardy of the Senate) voted for this Emergency Financial Rip-off Act of 2008. Guess that means they’ll both be looking for work.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:33 am
BigAl,
Ill take your Boxer-Feinstein and raise you with a Schumer-Clinton.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:36 am
I am glad Mr. Bunning is a true American trying to protect my freedom. I will remember it on Election day and also those that voted for it no matter what their excuse is.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:47 am
And Kohl, the multibillionaire homosexual, lets Wisconsin down again. But Feingold voted the way I believed he would, being the sole vote against the Patriot Act in the Senate. The one that looked me in the face and said “You should run for office.” Heh. Can’t without being a millionaire.
Those days are gone. Welcome to the New World Order folks. *laments*
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:50 am
Are you kidding me? the senators who voted no most don’t have a clue…Brownback actually said that he wouldn’t vote for the bill because it wouldn’t help anything for very long. He wanted something that would last at least 6 months to a year. Why not vote on something that would last for generations………..they needed to vote for backing the local banks and the state commercial…..immediately ……..protect the grassroots….that is what made America great. Also we need huge infrastructure…………investing in our best scientific and technological minds………that is what got us out of the great depression…but sadly back then we went to war…………..when we go to war now we just invest in the military industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us against………..we should invest in maglav railroads…….the Chinese are building them all through China….and we are letting our roads go and bridges…..people are dying because of our lack of keeping up with the infrastructure……….we could put people to work and get out of the horrible mess that our congressmen got us into…………..they were the overseers of our money….we should be able to go to the Supreme Court………but Bush put his NWO types in place……..we are in trouble………………slowing we are waking up but Ron Paul isn’t the answer as Alex Jones would have you believe…..sadly………I would like 700 Billion to go into infrastructure…………….go to larouchepac.com….go to a real leader.

Okay, it’s one thing to point out someone’s incompetence, it’s another to belittle one over his/her sexual identity. If you are a true libertarian – I am assuming that parentsfortruth is one – his sexual preference should never be an issue.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:54 am
Go parentsfortruth!!!!
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:04 am
I’m surprised that Dole is on that list. Well, atleast this list gives us some insight on who needs to be rehired. Don’t know about the rest.
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:21 am
Uh.. sorry Kimberly, …….. but a person’s homosexuality tells much about the mindset of that person, especially concerning the decisions they make. Wake up. It’s immoral behavior.
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:44 am
Well, Lautenberg and Menendez won’t receive my support…
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:53 am
For once, Louisiana did something right (Landrieu AND Vitter voted no – probably because I emailed them 4 million times…lol.) Which is probably why we never get any money to save our wetlands, fix our infrastructure, and pay for education.
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:59 am
Don’t base you voting on this list!
Of my state’s 2 Republicans senators, the one NOT running for re-election voted yes. The one desperately trying to hold on to their seat voted no.
Seeking last minute political cover by voting no to the bailout is NOT enough to make up for 6 years of selling out the country.

Ron Paul is a Congressman, not a Senator.
October 2nd, 2008 at 12:13 pm
Thank you for being a true Patriot.
Damn All the others who voted for it.
Don’t Vote for them ever again!
October 2nd, 2008 at 12:15 pm
I agree with parentsfortruth, a person’s sexuality does tell a lot about that person. We must remember to hate the sin and not the sinners.

THE ONES WHO VOTED IN-FAVOR…
HANG’EM HIGH !

I knew it that scum bag Carl Levin (MI) voted yes he has to be impeached or thrown out of office. He has helped shiped more jobs overseas also scum bag. But many keep putting him in office becuase he gives out alot of pork…..scum bag
October 2nd, 2008 at 12:23 pm

- Gee, I seem to remember learning that Jesus said, let he who is without sin, cast the first stone. So, unless you’ve lived a life free of sin, you should think again about your comments. I do believe that a homosexual is capable of making the same decisions that a straight person is capable of making. Come on, we all want Liberty. We all have a right to pursue happiness. If you think that we have a right to pick and choose who gets those rights, then we might has well hand our lives and land over to the NWO.

October 2nd, 2008 at 12:33 pm
I was curious how it broke down by state (both of my traitorous Senators voted yes, despite the vast majority of our Representatives voting no on Monday).

Thank you to every Republican and Democrat who voted against the stimulus. Hats off to each of you who stood firm and showed the kind of courage we need from our representative.
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:01 pm
I personally want to thank every senator that had the fortitude and common sense to vote no to this GROSS bankster heist being forced down our throats. Those that voted yes should have a difficult time looking their constituents in the eye.
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:18 pm
I live in Wisconsin. I called Senator Feingold’s D.C. office this morning and asked that the following message be delivered to him:
Senator: I want to sincerely thank you for doing the right thing and voting against the bailout. Unlike many of your colleagues, you are LISTENING to the voice of the people. I realize that you are very busy, but if you could find just a little time in your schedule, would you go and have a talk with the Democratic House members from Wisconsin and explain to them your reasons for rejecting this bill? All 5 of these Representatives voted to pass the bill that went down in defeat last Monday. Perhaps, with your sage advice, they can be persuaded to vote against this AWFUL peice of legislation when the House takes up the matter again.
I urge anyone who is a constituent of one of the above-listed Senators to do the same. IF the message gets through, and IF the Senator goes “across the aisle” and has that little talk with your State’s Reps, it MIGHT make a difference!
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Does anyone really understand what this means in dollars and cents???
If you devide 700 million dollars by 280 million Americans, it = $2,500, for every man, woman and child that our gubber nuts just borrowed in our names, and we can’t even pay the interest on what they have already borrowed before this.
If I only thought there were 10 people for every senator, that think like me and has the stupity do do what I think should be done I would do it in a heart beat. That isn’t a lot of people compared to the number in the states, not even a drop in the bucket.
They will be coming home for the holidays shortly, wont they??
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:32 pm
what a scary list of crooks , what did they do have a secret lottery and the losers had to vote no for the semblance of democracy , what a joke
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:34 pm
People shouldn’t be afraid of the government,
the government should FEAR THE PEOPLE.
Its time to make these senators and congressmen UNDERSTAND THIS.
Do what you think a patriot should do, and BE FEARLESS.
Time for action is NOW!
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:35 pm
or maybe there the ones with contested races this election cycle , they are not to be haled as they are in on the scam as willing participants and phony partisans
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Their names are going to go in to Golden pages of American 2nd revolution
October 2nd, 2008 at 2:06 pm
I imagine that each and every one of these senetors will have a nice check arriving in the mail within the next couple of days. Hopefully, they will turn them in and take down whoever tried to bribe them. I am glad to see that it atleast appears that there are some honest politicians who aren’t part of the elite.
October 2nd, 2008 at 2:10 pm
I’ve sent Senator Stabenow a note of thanks for her vote!
I’m sure these folks don’t get too many notes of appreciation.
October 2nd, 2008 at 3:32 pm
What a heartfelt article. Unfortunately, we know we are screwed. The Taxation without Representation holds true. How could so few control the American citizens? They don’t care if we know about their evil ways, just don’t try and do anything about the situation. It is time for a revolution!!!
October 2nd, 2008 at 3:39 pm
From Michigan – you are probably right. I sent the Wyoming Senators a note of thanks (my family and my heart are there). I would have happily thanked my own Senators but they both betrayed the people of Texas with a “yes” vote. Kay Bailey Hutchison has her eye on the governship of Texas – good luck with that, Kay!
October 2nd, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Louisiana voted no.
October 2nd, 2008 at 4:03 pm
dont talk about revolution. to loud, I did that once and my good friend ,turned me in and i ended up talking to FBI and secrect service agents . if they come to talk to you , remember , deny everything, admit nothing, and make counter accusations.
October 2nd, 2008 at 4:06 pm
Cantwell the junior senator from Washington state broke ranks with our senior senator Patty Murry and voted no while Patty Murry voted for the BAILOUT. The government named a local military base “FORT MURRY” I wonder where Patty Murry’s priorities are? I now refer to her only as Fort Murry instead of Patty Murry.
October 2nd, 2008 at 4:24 pm
nice to see my senators voted no
October 2nd, 2008 at 4:50 pm
The real question is, of the senators who are up for reelection this year, what percentage voted no?
October 2nd, 2008 at 6:15 pm
When the Revolt happens, 74 Senators to be on trial for treason.
October 2nd, 2008 at 6:57 pm
I was delighted to see Bernie Sanders, like Kucinich, can see the wrongness of this bill from stage left.
But the bulk are Republicans, and their no votes go a long way toward ennobling their party’s founding principles (before it was hijacked by NeoCons).
But the best part is to see that it’s not the Right/Left, but the Leadership/Mavericks paradigm that counts — “maverick”, a designation that once long ago caused me to send McCain $75 (in 2000). He has now totally disgraced that title.
Plainly: the leadership are sellouts, with no independent shreds of conscience left unbought. The tentacles of the Dark Lords are all too evident in the leaderships’ jerky, puppetlike movements.
October 2nd, 2008 at 7:41 pm
Tom (#9) “sounds like this version had been written for some period of time because of its length and the various riders that are incorporated into it.” astute observation
As to Kohl’s homosexuality, aren’t we talking about statecraft here? Gore Vidal’s statecraft skills and integrity are impeccable, though he is homosexual. “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”
October 2nd, 2008 at 8:06 pm
My senator Deborah Stabanow voted no, whilst Carl Levin the Benjamin franklin doppelganger voted “yeah, take their money who cares what you bankers do with it”. He’s gotta go.
October 2nd, 2008 at 8:28 pm
None from Jersey =[
October 2nd, 2008 at 8:48 pm
None from Texas. How dissappointing.
October 2nd, 2008 at 8:53 pm
Support no one that voted for this bill in any upcoming elections, and let them know about it and why.
October 2nd, 2008 at 8:58 pm
#39 Kimberly it is immoral behavior! No matter, what you say it is not natural. Immoral behavior does effect the important decisions you make in life, of course not always for the best or the worst; just look around you and open your eyes…
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:32 pm
Good ‘ole Jon Kyl. I know I could count on him to vote the wrong way. Yep Arizona elected such great senators. Both of them.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:39 pm
The bailout bill is nothing short of extortion and redistribution. They are trying to extort $700 billion to $1 trillion from the taxpayers and redistribute the money to the same executives that created and burst the housing bubble and further worsened our economic recession. Anyone who supports this bill is an extortionist.
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:44 pm
#32 I believe in GOD and JESUS CHRIST and I don’t support the government!!! I am against all the lies and trickery it imposes. Like the sheeple who refuse to hear the truth about NWO, concentration camps in America, and what the goverment’s true intentions are for the American people, you obviously refuse to hear and accept the truth that homesexuality is a sin and it goes against GOD. I disagree with their choice and am against it, but BY NO MEANS IS IT OK TO HATE THEM OR TREAT THEM CRUELY!!! THIS IS WHERE YOU GO WRONG!!! IF YOU SAY THAT CRHISTIANS ARE HATEFUL, THEN YOU HAVE NOT MET A TRUE CHRISTIAN!!! GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!
October 2nd, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn represenatives of Texas voted yes for the bailout… let it be known those who are from Texas reading this!!!
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:00 pm
Oklahoman’s have been Tom Tommed. Tom Coburn, and Tom Cole, both have betraid their
constituants, also Dan Boren.
These three must never be voted into the house or senate again. Period. Ever.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:03 pm
All right. Looking at things logically in the “war” for our minds, it seems that we are not growing fast enough in equivalent to “them” coming out with all these laws, rules, regulations, and upscaled brutality. There are still so many people to “wake up”, but I see there is one thing that will get the people to muster together to the point of believing people like this group who bravely met and had their “down with the regime” conference.
Most people say here and some have even called into Alex Jones’ radio show to say that they are having such a hard time getting others to believe the “truth” stories. Yes, many have “awakened”, but percentage-wise, it is small. There is only one thing that will snap all the nation’s people to finally “get it”, where people who are like this brave group and those handing out “truth” DVD’s or flyers, will be able to be listened to almost immediately. That one thing might happen in the next 40 days or maybe an additional 75 days or so. It was said here by others and has been spoken about for years, starting from the Clinton era before he left office.
The only thing that will snap the entire country into “awakefulness” or realization of the “truth”, is to have Marshal Law, to stop either the presidential election somehow or to stop the transfer of power over to the president elect. All other Constitutional laws have been broken by this regime and the people have accepted it, but it seems that they want to have the Constitutional election. So what we need is to have that Marshal Law which seems to be the only thing that the people are saying that they will accept for stopping an election by the Constitution.
If the election or transition of power is done, then I would tend to believe that we really are in trouble because no one would transfer power, which technically is the same thing as giving oneself up to the authorities for crimes committed, unless that person(s) was assured of a safe haven and if a safe haven is available, that means that whomever is taking over the power position would be condoning all crimes committed and therefore would be just as bad as this regime. That allowance of the transfer of power would then obviously be done for a facade, to help fool the people, making it look like “CHANGE” actually is happening, when it would not be.
MARSHAL LAW (or the stoppage of the presidential CHANGEover) IS OUR SAVIOR that will gather the people together in one fell swoop that is not happening now,
Rhonda

voting no on iraq war patriot act and now bailout bill i do feel good for supporting Russ Feingold of my state Wisconsin. Few elected servants have showed the good judgement of Sen.Feingold. Democrats are useless,Republicans are worthless,we are a Nation in PERIL!
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:07 pm
One of my senators, Maria Cantwell (the original owner of Real Networks ) voted NO…she may live another day. My other senator, Patty Murray, is a TRAITOR and should be tarred and feathered then drawn and quartered on the Capitol Mall.
October 2nd, 2008 at 10:13 pm
Interesting Rhonda….most people would argue the opposite. Who knows though, you could be right. Maybe if enough people saw some crazy scenario take place then Marshall Law that certainly would get their attention.
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:04 pm
We need a weapon of mass-awakening… Infowars.com has been that, but we need to get the word out to more and more people.
There’s go to be a way to shut down MSM’s lies and turn the people ON once again!
I am sure we all can put our minds together to figure this out! We need a massive public access channel, wide-spread, nationalized, working together in each state!
Crank out more DVDs of America: Freedom to Fascism… label the movies as “Understanding the Economic Crisis” or something like that, give them out to your neighbors!
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:21 pm
For those of you who believe “The Jews” are behind everything, why did Senator Feingold, a Jew, vote against the so-called bailout???? Does this compute into your compartmentalized brain?? He is also the ONLY senator to have voted against the USA Patriot Act, so go figure…..
October 3rd, 2008 at 1:42 am
what we need is mass people attcking the government facilities at simultaneously measures kind of like the iraq war . not a few hundred thousand . i mean millions but leave bush for me ! i want to torture bush and his family and then cheney and his family and then rumsfield would be next . the same torute used on innocent iraqis and afganis . i want to run this country over with a bulldozer and start over !

It’s almost time folks , we need to set a date for a massive flyer or sign or anything , we have to hit the streets with the message in as many states & their towns as possible all in the same 24 hr period . How do we organize ,,, maybe at the wearechange.org we can begin to set a date , WE HAVE TO DO IT AT LEAST 3 DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION , Think about what an impact we could make by working together, if we can get the masses of the good to do this all at the same time , i think it’s the only way & one of our last chances to do this!!
October 3rd, 2008 at 6:48 am
if you haven’t seen it, make sure you view Paul Grignon’s brilliant 47 min. animated video Money As Debt, which Dennis Kucinich sent as a link in his newsletter email Monday after the historic “No” vote. It teaches essentially the same message as Bill Still’s The Money Masters but more showing the mechanics of the scam.
Just Google “money as debt” and it’s the first title to pop up. Send it to everyone you know. It’s the best answer to the question, “Why would anyone vote against the bailout?”
October 3rd, 2008 at 8:10 am
Usually, folks consider Louisianians backwards, but at least BOTH of our Senators voted against this.
And Landrieu is very liberal. Surprised to see her amongst the right thinkers.
October 3rd, 2008 at 8:43 am
Does anyone know a website that continuously posts the voting record on all bills as they go through congress?
Also, is there a website where you can enter your address and find out who your representative/senator is?
I want to be able to follow this issue through – I’m definitely not voting for anyone who supports this fiasco.
Thanks!
October 3rd, 2008 at 9:06 am
You don’t have kucinich on that list.

We still have a few good men and women who will stand up to tyranny,we need to support them, likewise we need to vote out those who “idealogically” did what was right. Those who supported this treasonous bailout should be voted out and brought to task, every mainstream news and print media was talking down to the American people like children, telling us we didn’t know what’s in our own best interest. We must VOTE THEM OUT,we must vote for third party candidates for president and exclude Barrack Obama and John McCain as the Democrats and Republicans have lawlessly excluded our voice from Constitutional process, and if either is elected we should start recall petitions and no confidence statements to our Congressmen and Senators.
NOW IS THE TIME TO STAND FOR AMERICA.

The corrupt pathological liars in the Senate and Congress, voided our constitution and the will of 80 per cent of the American people that were against this bail-out, this Congress have forced the honest hardworking Americans to carry this economic burden for year to come; to our Congress it was more important to save the corrupt greedy financial system that created this crisis, than to take stand and let them to take responsibility for their action; we the people have to pay for their incompetence and greed.
In all fairness, we the people must hold accountable the members of congress and the Senate that voted for this bail-out, we are fed up with these traitors that are destroying our country; we must vote out of office the 74 Senator and the 263 congressmen that vote for the bail-out and betray us. We will make them pay for their betrayal.

Yesterday, October 3rd, 2008 – a day which shall live in infamy
The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately betrayed
by democrat and republican traitors
of the city of Washington, D.C.

Section 112 of the bailout bill, hr 1424, contains the provision to bail out foreign financial institutions. That’s something nobody is talking about. We are being diverted with the less important provisions of the carbon tax and more pork for the piggies.

I’ve said it a million times & will say it again. CONgress is nothing but a bunch of spineless self serving coward puppets that are only there to give the American people the illusion that they have some voice in what happens in this country let alone their own lives. Aside from that I have added a new adjective to the list. TRAITORS to this country and the people.

If we do not vote the idiots out of office this coming election, then we deserve what we get. I could care less if it is a Dem or Rep. Who ever voted for this bailout needs to be fired. Tell your friends, customers, families to vote these crooks out of office.

A summary from WY: Barbara Cubin (At-Large) voted for this bill – the catch, she is not running for re-election and has swallowed (pun intended). Enzi and Barrasso voted No, but I got a letter from Barrasso and he said ‘we may have to look this over again’. He is an MD but sure as hell doesn’t emulate Ron Paul.

I don’t believe blackmail should be paid to these crooks who are stealing from the american people and walking away scott-free. This is a scam that is not and I repeat NOT the answer. Andrew Jackson refused to cower before the big banking institutions and this is no different!!!
Time will tell…..vipers & thieves everyone of them.If anyone should be fired it’s the idiots who came up with such a outrageous bill.millions to rum makers in puertorico?what the hellis that?millions to automakers…we are to poor now to even think about new automobiles…especially now that any tax relief we might have been hoping for is GONE TO PAY RANSOME TO THESE FRAUDS!!!
The dollar is taking a downward plunge….gas prices on the rise…food & neccesseties going up daily. This boulder congress just tied around our necks is too much!!

Thank you Debbie.

The very senator I thought would vote against it ended up voting for it. One can never know ones representatives well enough to gage what they will do in a crisis. Washington State senators have set the pace for for the fall as well as others across the country. Gotta pay the piper!

Face the absolute truth: Money and pussy rule the whole world. And if you have enough of either one, you can get all the other you want. The people who run governments worldwide are no different. They’re even worse.
