The Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office is bringing back a program to bolster its numbers without spending a lot of money. Today, the office swore in nine reserve deputies as a way to get more deputies on the street without having to hire more people.

Shayne Wood could hardly stop smiling as Sheriff Jim Winder welcomed him to the force. “Some people see something bad and run; some people are the type they run towards the danger. That’s the kind of people I am I guess,” Wood said.

Wood and eight others have committed to serving 20 hours a week for the county for free. They’ve been through the same training as their paid counterparts and will be asked to do the same things deputies on the payroll do, but they will receive no money for it.

This is the start of the citizen corps…..to get a ticket to get into the meal-line, please go out and work for the NWO for twenty minutes…….good boy, please check your arms at the door and get yourself something to eat……..

And folks I am here to tell you, as a former Mormon, and being raised in SLC, the LDS church is ALL about the NWO. Which is why I was really surprised the Republicans, er I mean the Corporate elite, did not select him as their choice for running against Obama. Remember Mitt was the super hero who came in to clean up the big 2002 Olympic Bribery scandal? The Mormons practice all the free masonry rituals in their temple ceremonies. The Mormon temple also has the sun, the moon, a pentagram, and the all seeing eye inscribed on the outside walls of the downtown temple.

Hmmm……… It seems to me, if they would let law abiding citizens carry their legal firearms around with them, they would have thousands of new deputies on patrol all the time. I will never understand why I have to get a permit to carry a gun that I had to pass a background check to get.

There is no friggin way they could get me to go around and get shot at for free. Especially when the rest of the guys in the locker room are getting paid for doing the same thing. These dudes are either morons or have a power trip.

    12. Strange Freaky People Says:

Get over your freakin selves, already! Reserve cops are nothing new. They were in abundance in the 70’s. My Dad, who was friends with the Sheriff and a number of deputies in my hometown, was one. Everyday citizens get the chance to get out and see what REALLY happens in the world, not the sanitized, abbreviated, abridged, version you get from the media. They get to be a part of something that doesn’t pay enough for them to support their families and yes, they get to experience that occasional adrenalin rush. Also, they do contribute to their communities by volunteering. No different than the volunteers at the homeless shelter, the little league coaches, church deacons, or others. They just found a different and more interesting outlet for their talents.
Sorry, no NWO conspiracy here, this time, either. Keep looking.

Constant scrutiny, lowered life expectancy, increased disease and no pay? What attracts folks to this type of service vs. becoming a nurse, teacher, working with homeless, the disabled etc? I don’t buy these guys want to help people instead they seem to enjoy hassling rather helping. Everyone armed and taking responsibility for themselves is the American way. Would we be better off if these guys running around with their unclear motivations became extinct?

    19. exmo Says:

Mind game you are correct. It is a total power trip. I have know many friends who are cops, and some of them have confessed they love having the power. But I guarantee they wouldn’t do it for free.

The only thing that bothered me about the short video attached to this article is the new deputy’s smug comment towards the end of the video where he says… “I’m in the game…, lets play…”
It was probably an innocent comment, but I have a feeling that the majority of the readers of infowars.com would find the comment a little disturbing, at least at first…at least at this point in time.

Other than that i don’t find anything else suspicious about this program…., that is…. aside from the fact that the deputies should be getting paid and they aren’t being paid. The program seems like a legit internship otherwise.

One interesting point was the Sheriff’s comment that they were expecting there to be a significant increase in crime due to the economic downturn, and how in fact they were already beginning to see it already.

      Sorry, no NWO conspiracy here

Uh except that the difference is that they decided to get into a thing that allows them all the rights and priveleges attained to the police such as lawyers, media outlet access, guns w/ free bullets, tasers, ar-15 w/ 3 round burst mode and maybe fully auto?, lights (I’ve heard cops talk about lights and guns, lights facinate them, they love the power it conveys, and guns, I listened to two state cops speak about the cool things you could do to a certain 45 caliber gun, they went on for 1hr 15mintues, it was teacher to student, the teacher was about to retire and they way they would just speak to each other about that which they would of course be shooting. They didn’t talk like the human being was a bad guy, but instead a cunning artificially intelligent moving target and man were they excited, the kid was getting all the coolest tried (tested!) and true inside details, and the old man was greatful that someone, anyone was interested in these details, which I could also tell were the only things that this man who was about 55-65 was interested in. His life consisted of state police work, and guns, every facet of guns and how to best kill a man with said gun, you can fill in the list ie gun sights, grips, bullets, loads, powders…….on and on for hours. I’ve been around peons in the system alot, the ones who just have guns at home and don’t actually get to use them in the line of duty, and all they can talk about when alone with each other is guns, and how to kill a man, so when they(un-paid) met the sponsor who told them about the job, I’m guessing that a conversation was sparked up somehow and it was about guns and power and lights, that is about the sum of the intelligence involved between the initial offer and the day of the video in the article.

That is the difference between the jobs they chose to volunteer for and the other jobs you mentioned, last time I checked little league didn’t have anything to do with either Guns, or killing a man!

    27. Eric Says:

True. Guns won’t save the world, but it will save your family when a pyschopath breaks into your house. It will save a country from a tyrannical government, and it has. I know you love the UN and all, and would lovingly pay your carbon breathing taxes, but there are many of us who will fight back against the new world order trash – and guns will come in handy!

    28. deathbyrevolt Says:

These cops are working for free. That is nuts. I guess when martial law is declared they will not mind if I blow them away for trying to take my guns. It has to be a power thing. I hope this is not a trend. Can you imagine people selling out there country for free for a badge and the right to carry a gun but no pay.

    31. Guns won't save the world! Says:

#21 couldn’t be more wrong. The story is not the toys for tots, it is the fact that when the camera, no make that when the guy spoke with alex on the phone and recognized him he probably figured the first thing when he gets off the phone is to take down the machine guns, and when the camera showed up it was time to go, now that is a story, a great story and the fact that you don’t get it is your main problem buddy, you don’t recognize a victory because you work for the other side and that is why you don’t recognize it because it is beyond your pay grade!

    32. Max Says:

Guns won’t save the world but they might save your ass. If the public was allowed to have guns in Mumbai the death toll wouldn’d have got that high.

    33. frontline Says:

i live in Utah and the mormons are sheeeep like you have never seen before. These people do as told. If you ask any questions your out of the church.

    34. SnowCone Says:

I lived in UT before I moved to Alaska, and I will say without reservation that Mormons are brain dead robots. What’s said from the pulpit, no matter how outrageous, they obey without second thought or question. The other side of the equation is that these people LOVE power. Anything they can do to be able to aggrandize themselves by lording over their fellow beings they will do it, no matter the cost. These people will embrace the NWO first, before anyone else, because all the puppet masters have to do is dangle a carrot of power and being praised by the children of men and they will kill, betray, and malign each other to get the power positions being offered. Although this story doesn’t mention Mormons directly, based on my personal experience, I will bet top dollar those deputies are or were affiliated with the Mormon church.

    35. Guns won't save the world! Says:

I think that if the public had guns in mumbai the cops would’ve been shooting them and putting them in the piles and just claimed they were terrorists since they were in on the plot to begin with, so gimme a break Max. I mean look the places were surrounded and that didn’t do any good, the cops had guns but none did s---, so what makes you think the police would’ve let the public take some shots, they would’ve been outside doing what the cops told them to do, maybe a few would’ve been able to defend themselves yes, but why would the people who got shot have guns, took them to work? That is a bad choice to use to defend guns. I think alot of you guys just look at my name and then decide to say something in response, I’m not against guns buddy and I shoot alot better than you do, garanteed, but they are not the answer to what’s plauging the earth right now. Isayah 24 tells you the cause, and the messiah told you the answer, and as far as my memory serves me it didn’t involve guns. And yes the world needs saving! My ass however is not worried, you can shoot it all you want and it won’t change the plan, the plan cannot be hurt, or derailed. I put my hope in the resurection and not in this world or it’s curses. My hope is in the kingdom and i’ts laws and it’s perfection, my mind is constantly on the holy city, I’ve seen it in a dream and nothing here on earth can match it. Man’s puny mind is incapable of even creating computers to dream something that beautiful and perfect up. No one has ever imagined or dreamed of something so amazing, and once someone has a glimpse of it, there is nothing else that matters. Death is temporary for some, just as life is temporary for some. Choose life so that you and your children can live long in the land that you are a steward of. The owner has a theory which he is proving at this time.

His theory has of course proven itself many times throughout history, it is that following the laws of the creator will yield you peace, health, abundance, and everything that is good and you should desire. Satan’s plan says that if we destroy all our perceived enemies, then we will have peace. I don’t need guns because I have the all powerful for my front gaurd and rea gaurd. You need guns because you are naked and have no one to protect you, I abide under the shadow of Yahweh’s wing, here it is peaceful and quiet, the weather is great and I have plenty, I never worry and I always know what’s going on, I don’t have to make peace with my enemies, it is made for me, you can only kill me if the creator allows it and therefore I don’t need guns!

A large percentage of Mormons are “sheeple” but you aren’t kicked out of the church for asking questions. In fact, Mormonism is one of the most “Intellectually-based” religions in the world, imo. Membership includes some of the most intelligent people anywhere but faith keeps most people in most religions from questioning until they come up against an obvious and undeniable division between what they believe and reality.

The road less traveled that takes one out or by which one takes them self out of the Church (by asking questions or believing in something that isn’t “Mormon Mainstream”) is the very rigid social structure of the Mormon Church. The membership knowingly or unknowingly participate continuously in what could be called “Social Inbreeding,” the habit of only or mostly only associating with others in the Church. Straying from the socially enforced Mormon mores of that structure can slowly erode your social standing in the Church which then reverberates through other areas of member participation, namely church positions, etc. You aren’t “kicked out of the Church for asking questions,” the diminishing of your standing and reputation through independent thinking slowly erodes your connection to it…often through social ostracizing.

Someone told me once that gossip in the Church serves an important function…you decide.

You guys are missing the big picture .THIS IS OUR WAY IN!Honest Patriots with Badges. From my experience Sheriffs arround here are alot better than Academy churned out Metro Cadets. Sheriffs are ELECTED and they KNOW THIS.So a Sheriff with 9 honest deputies that KNOWS the Federal gov. is a sham is a good thing.Look at Alex’s Articles . Most that include Sheriffs like the One in Ohio and the One in the Katrina situations? Were the GOOD GUYS.

    39. Grim Future Says:

      #38, you are right.

Here is a message for the religious people:

God helps those who help themselves.

Your god is not going to help you if you sit on your rump and do nothing.
Otherwise, Israel wouldn’t need it’s own army and air force, and the U.S
would be a magical utopia where no one would need to carry guns to drive
to work, grocery store or even church.

    40. Boston Strangler Says:

this is just another example of power-craving nobodies who couldn’t pass the requirements to join the force on their own. They are now “volunteering” 20 hours of their time to lord over the “civilians”.Anyone thinking that they just want to help are delusional. They would work 60 hours a week for free, just to have a modicum of power.

    41. Tom Says:

It seems that the way things are headed it would be a good idea if every able-bodied man in the country were sworn in as sheriff’s deputy within his respective county. This would provide protection for the citizens against the invasion of unelected administrative law enforcement officers sent to rob, pillage, and steal on behalf of the NWO. If we can stop the invasion one county at a time we can save the nation. Sheriffs are the lynch pin of maintaining peace, Hopefully these elected officials have loyalty to the constitution and the citizens who voted them into office.

    42. Vince Says:

I’m a deputy sheriff who started out as a reserve. Reserves are just officers the Sheriff can call on to fill in and use as needed. While on duty they function just as a full time deputy, they are commissioned peace officers. Now days reserves have to put in so many hours per month to keep their certification. Usually they will be on patrol with a full-time deputy or on their own, or even work in the jail. As far as the power-craving nobodies kind of comment, I can tell you that myself and many, many other deputy sheriffs would be the first to step up and help protect our neighbors and local communities if needed. That’s putting it nicely. Just don’t shoot us or we can’t assist. Those of us who take the oath seriously, truly did “swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States and of the State of _______, so help me God”. That’s not a joke. Atleast not to me and other deputies I know. It’s something that alot of young American men take so seriously that they can’t wait to volunteer some time and get some experience for. What your deputies need, especially younger ones, is reversal or tweeking of some of the crap they’ve gotten in academy classes, especially on Constitutional law, especially the 2nd and 4th ammendments.

There’s a war on for their mind to, and it started when they, like you, were not taught basic American Government and the Constitution, and are still not. It’s sad, but this continues into law enforcement training. Information is key.

    43. Buzz Watson Says:

Gotta agree with Vince #44…I worked with several specials from the sheriff’s office when I was a peace officer. I think they had to do 16 hours (two shifts) a month to keep their commissions current. Remember, the true peace officer is our ally. The sheriff is the highest ranking law enforcement officer in the county except in Ohio.
I have found that people aren’t trained in the academy…they have to be retrained because of too much “Flashpoint” or “Miami Vice”. Unfortunately, the academy doesn’t re-train them when it comes to the perception of the embattled U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence choosing to find ways to skirt these maxims and get around them.

#47… I interned in an an Ohio County Coroner’s office and later worked as a peace officer. Yes, that’s what I am referring to. If the Sheriff of an Ohio County was to be arrested, the county coroner would execute the warrant. Up until 2003, this was the pecking order. What has happened since….don’t know. When serving a warrant under common law, I assume that a sheriff or deputy would be your contact person…not the coroner’s office.

Ohio is the only state I know of like that…unless you know of others.
