Shots fired inside Alabama courthouse

GOODWATER, Ala. — Shots were fired inside a municipal courthouse in Goodwater, Ala., on Thursday with reports at least one person being taken away on a stretcher.

A person who answered the phone in the Goodwater mayor’s office, which is adjacent to the courthouse, confirmed to NewsCore that there had been a shooting but would not provide more details.

A source inside the mayor’s office told WFSA-TV that two shots were heard and that a victim was taken away on a stretcher.
