Stewart blasts former CIA analyst for rooting for bin Laden attack

Perhaps it’s a form of Stockholm Syndrome.
The same person who spent nearly a decade fruitlessly leading the CIA unit charged with finding Osama bin Laden now seems to be rooting for him.
Former CIA analyst Michael Scheuer told Fox News’ Glenn Beck Tuesday night, “The only chance we have as a country right now is for Osama bin Laden to deploy and detonate a major weapon in the United States.”

According to his bio, “From 1996 to 1999, [Scheuer] served as the Chief of the bin Laden unit (aka Alec Station), the Osama bin Laden tracking unit at the Counterterrorism Center. He then worked as Special Adviser to the Chief of the bin Laden unit from September 2001 to November 2004.”
On Wednesday’s Daily Show, Jon Stewart found himself outraged at Beck’s guest. “What the f*ck is that? And by the way, here’s the fascinating thing about our culture. My guess is that you didn’t hear me say ‘f*ck.’ Because the Federal government is protecting you and your children’s ears from that type of profanity.”
Stewart mocked Scheurer’s beard: “While, Santa’s evil twin gets to, uhh…gets to nonchalantly propose the needless slaughter of Americans to further his national security plan. But, obviously, in this country, everyone’s entitled to their dope-pinion.”
Stewart added at the end, “Hey, is there any way you can yell loud enough into your TV at home for the people inside it to hear you?”

Of course he is. He’s the only “news” on television that I watch.
The problem is he can’t outright just say all the stuff that.. you and I know. I’m sure he’s gotten into it. Even though he’s famous or at least well-known, you know?
The thing is that he exposes what Obama does wrong. I remember watching one episode of the Daily Show and they showed a clip of a George Bush speech (inauguration?) and then an Obama speech and they literally said the same thing. Stewart did his “wtf was that” stare at the camera and people laughed.
Now.. do people take this seriously? I hope so.

“The problem is he can’t outright just say all the stuff that.. ” In response to this comment by “Brave New World”- He could say anything he wanted to, but I seriously don’t think he’s that educated about THE Conspiracy. Perhaps he’s heard about it, but has been unwilling to step outside of the comfort matrix to really investigate it.
However, it seems now that he’s starting to see how the pieces fit with what we conspiracy “theorist” (more like “fact reporters”) have been saying all along. The question for me is, first off, will he have the strength to wrestle past his cognitive dissonance, and second, will he then have the courage to step up to the frontline of the Information War and commence battle?…
We shall see. Interesting times, indeed…

I thought the guy was trying to say that it would take something like a Nuke or Bio weapon, in a major U.S. City, to get the Government to start protecting our boarders? I doubt the guy sits around & hopes for such an incident, he’s just stating the obvious! Except if Bin Laden attacked our Country again, our Government would use it against us, not sure up things & protect us! That would be, & probably is, what they need to further restrict our Liberties, for our own safety of course!

I say we boycott the Alex Jones show until he clarifies or takes back what he said about gay couples adopting kids yesterday. That was something that I would expect from Mike Savage I thought Alex was more of a free thinker and believer in equality than that. I am so disapointed….anyone else? I think this was just a slimy attempt to pander to the religious bigots that tune into his show and/or provide funding, either way it was a disgusting comment that shouldn’t be allowed to slide.

He’s always nothing but polite & understanding when discussing those with differing views than his.

It’s just like the Grand Dragon used to say, being prejudiced against prejudice is just as bad as being prejudiced, maybe even worse!
I for one would much rather see kids lost in state custody than go anywhere near a loving couple in a caring home who happened to be homos!

No, he isn’t looking to spread any real truth.
It’s very easy to ridicule a statement this absurd. It’s easy and good for his ratings. The real truth is that there are plenty of American power brokers that would love to see a mushroom cloud over an American city.
The military industrial complex would enjoy an expansion of their defense contracts, the media would see their ratings skyrocket and the bankers would rub their hands together as they inflate the US dollar even more to fund the emergency military spending.
Our political/banking/business systems have been rigged up to reward criminality. The biggest criminals end up at the top of the pile.

I think Jon Stewart would agree with you. He will time and time again say that it is a comedy show, and nothing more.
This show has the capability to lead people down the rabbit hole. It does a decent job of lambasting both parties, and showing how there is no real difference. There was recently a segment with pre-elected and newly elected Obama promising a bunch of stuff. The second part of the segment showed the refusal to go after Cheney, to release torture info, and the elimination of the email investigation. A lot of people were after the Daily Show because it was too hard on Bush, but I’d say they’re doing a good job of keeping tabs on Obama.
With that said…
You can’t just get in someone’s face and scream 9/11 truth, or NWO, or left-right paradigm. People are turned off by that sort of approach.

Voting for Ron Paul. over and over, will not change anything. Even if he wins, it certainly does not rise to the level of “revolution”. A Ron Paul win could only hope to reform the government, at best, and at worst, be just one more exercise and lesson in futility, which the PTB would just love to teach us, once again.
No, the only thing that can truly qualify as “revolution” requires two elements:
1. The abolition of the current government.
2. The formation of an antirely new one, operating under an entirely new framework of restrictions, to prevent what happened to the current government, from promptly repeating itself in the next.
Does Ron Paul offer either?
No, he is just another part of the same hopelessly corrupted current government, which begs to be abolished, and he does not support a new and improved framework to better prevent the government from being taken over by special interests and used as a weapon against the rest of society.
Ron Paul may hang his political hat on the title of “reformer”, but he is a far stretch from being “revolutionary”.
Until Ron Paul comes out swinging, to form a large and broad-based political coalition organised to actually abolish the current government, and form a viable and improved framework for the next, I won’t be wasting another minute of my time on his “revolution” that isn’t, and looking for people who are ready for the real thing.

I watched that show and one of the points they made was that Bush did nothing on the borders. It is also a point that O’reilly also enjoyed making.

wow, i used to watch TDS after the clinton-era, when i started high school, the funny smart people watched it, but as time went on, the show is unwatchable, I never thought stewart’s politics were that great, but the worry is the youth, for me, the youth who haven’t seen the show for years, who think, when one like me says, I loved the show, that I’m talking about its current pathetic guise; same with colbert, he’s totally unable to keep up his persona of satire and folly after this amount of time and fame: like when he went to Iraq, like weeks before we left cities when it was literally as safe, and as late as possible, so they could say they did it, but it really meant nothing at all. so as the youth need to see something, satire or infowars, that truly questions what media’s role and the human beings encased in this sphere and their role in this terrible ploy that has nothing to do with informing americans or informing humans about the fate of their species, Yet, if we don’t allow the youth to imagine the true role of media, satirically or otherwise, than they either fall for that scheme, or drop-out, and kids leave mainstream media to the smart people, while they choose to watch TV shows like TDS as their only glimpse of the GREAT GAME.

I am impressed with Jon for saying the things he says. He works for a cable network but he does seem to improv on many things. I am haev been a political atheist (as Gerald Celente says) for about 1/2 a year. Prior to that I have been a Democrat (please forgive me) although I at least respected Republican presidents (other than W).
My point in saying this, is that before i woke up to what is really happening (bankers trying to stuff us with their NWO and their total control of both parties), Jon Stewart has been literally the only guy in the mainstream media during the Bush administration challenging everything being said by W. Bush administration. I genuinely believe his heart is in the wrong place. He doesn’t see as much as we all see, but I think he will get there in time and is getting there. What I love is that he is just as skeptical of Obama and his minions as Bush ones. I know many conservatives distrust Stewart, but I do think he will redeem himself.

It’s a little creepy, though, listening to the half-laugh response of the audience to Scheuer’s most obnoxious and almost treasonous comments; and Jon’s half-assed attempt at humor in his introduction to what is really a most vile GB interview. I hope the people in the audience who weren’t laughing, and the viewers at home, were busy being outraged enough at the interview to research later.

Colbert’s a double-edged sword. He’s always saying the opposite of what he’s thinking, but sometimes he makes it obvious and sometimes not. I did see him on a roast of a D.C. bigwig once; W and Barbara were in attendance, as well as other politicos and lotsa military brass. Colbert’s comments were anti-war, pro-liberty, ballsy, insanely correct and funny – and I thought they were gonna get him killed before he left the room. Knives headed his direction were coming out of the eyes of everyone at the head table.
I was on the floor with a double dose of satisfaction – comedic and political. I haven’t seen him as sharp and direct since.

I guess, first, Stewart is making his judgements based on the assumption that a man who spent years working with the CIA to try and catch Bin Laden….is rooting for him to not only survive….but retain his potency….which is lunacy. Scheuer’s comment, “The only chance we have as a country is if Osama Bin Laden deploys and detonates a weapon”, was made in an aggressive, almost angry manner, somewhat beyond the tone of mere suggestion. And, if we can learn from recent history, another major terrorist attack would certainly not wake up the American people. It would have (the majority of) them demanding that the government retaliate, still blissfully ignorant of the false flag.

We didn’t hand in our gun rights here – and like everything else in Thailand, and Southeast Asia in general, whenever the UN or US gets pissy about what we sell in broad daylight, we just dip into the black market when we need to. That goes for medicine, software, movies, and even bootleg manufactured goods. Because here in Thailand every other house has a mini-factory in it. The means of production have been given to the people – not through Communism, but through free-market capitalism. It really works, thats why Ron Paul should be president of the US. If Thais can do this with limited resources and the most corrupt government on earth (besides the US) than imagine what the US can do.

But Jon Stewart does a lot of good. There are various stages of waking up, Jon Stewart and Colbert get most people past stage one. They can’t come out and say the truth directly or they will be off the air and doing no one any good. They walk a fine line and very subtly get people to think outside the box. Unfortunately people are incredibly stupid, and even after reading the elites’ documents themselves, basically signed confessions, they still don’t understand whats going on.

i really enjoy the people that the show presents. there is very informative information on this program. what disappoints me is that so many people truly believe that alex is a man of principles and sacrificing for the greater good and sacrificing himself financially.

Huh? When did this become a debate about whether there is a freedom of choice for us to come on here??? Of course there is, as long as Alex allows comments but, there wasn’t always a comment sectiion on infowars and what I am saying is that it should go back to the way it used to be. There are too many people who get on here and give the website a bad name. You are often judged by the company you keep right or wrong. I’m fine with people getting on message boards and stating whatever opinion they have, but this is a NEWS site and it needs all the credibility it can get. We also need to avoid the dangers of groupthink and unfortunately this format tends to lend itself towards that. Okay, lets say for a minute that this guy was not a shill for the government, lets just say that he meant well, but how do you justify telling the SUPPOSED “bogeyman” bin deadalongtime laden that the US is vulnerable so now would be a GREAT TIME to ATTACK, so that you can prove to the government that people like you are FREE to come in and attack as you see fit.
However, what makes his suggestion and rational so LUDICROUS is that if what the government has been doing or not doing thus far that has prevented an attack, then why BROADCAST and even INVITE an attack so you could get a program in place to prevent an attack.
So lets CAUSE an attack in order to prevent an attack.
If there was now an attack on the US no matter WHO does it, we can blame this IDIOT!
But of course, those of us that have awaken from our slumber know that this LOSER was SENT on there to say these exact things by the same government whom he is SUPPOSEDLY complaining about.
He was sent to play the GIVE UP MORE FREEDOMS FOR SECURITY, while the government then sits back and says they want to give us Both “Freedom & Security” because Security is freedom according to them. Of course we also know that THEY create all of the problems and then come in to play “savior”.
However, we can chain and lock ourselves up in our homes and greatly decrease the risk of being harmed, but that does NOT make us free one bit.
Bottom line is this. If you want to see what this NUT JOBS REAL goal is here then just go look at the program he would like to see happen.
I guarantee you that 95% has all to do with MORE government power grabs and loss of liberties and freedoms, 3% of how things used to be but were not working and 2% on COSTLY fixes that will work and are just new titles to things that are already in place.
This is because it is NOT about Protection, security, safety or anything else but PURE POWER and CONTROL, packaged in a “Security blanket”.
This guy is probably being paid 50K-100K every time he goes on one of these shows and plays this SCARE TACTIC.
It is like when you are a kid, you get your little brother or sister to go and tell mom that HE wants some ice cream hoping your mom will give in and gives it to everyone including you who wanted it all along.

Actually, it’s an interesting point. Although it might be seized on to further restrict civil liberties, if America WAS attacked again, it would bring us back to the realization that there’s more to worry about than “economic stimulus” and it would stick stuff like “cap and trade” on the back burner in light of more important things that Congress SHOULD be doing instead.
…though probably not. They’d likely use it as an excuse to do more bad things. But it’s hard to say that’d be worse than what we’re seeing come out of D.C. right now…
