Stiglitz: Geithner Plan Will Rob US Taxpayers

The U.S. government plan to rid banks of toxic assets will rob American taxpayers by exposing them to too much risk and is unlikely to work as long as the economy remains weak, Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz said on Tuesday.

“The Geithner plan is very badly flawed,” Stiglitz told Reuters in an interview during a Credit Suisse Asian Investment Conference in Hong Kong.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s plan to wipe up to US$1 trillion in bad debt off banks’ balance sheets, unveiled on Monday, offered “perverse incentives”, Stiglitz said.
The U.S. government is basically using the taxpayer to guarantee against downside risk on the value of these assets, while giving the upside, or potential profits, to private investors, he said.
“Quite frankly, this amounts to robbery of the American people. I don’t think it’s going to work because I think there’ll be a lot of anger about putting the losses so much on the shoulder of the American taxpayer.”

Bob.. what you are seeing right now is the start of a revolution. A change will take place shortly. Most people have been kept in the dark and more people have to be reached. So, Yes.. this is a revolution. Even though we have buttloads of media the media is controlled by the very people we need to revolt against so it wont happen as quickly as most revolutions but will happen nonetheless. The people we are revolting against control almost everything there is from food to security to banks to jobs to media to transportation to war to science to politics to banks to IT ALL! Who Knew! Fortunatly we are starting to not only hear about it but get actual proof that backs it all up. It takes a little while to wake up from a deep coma.

if we the people would just reclaim our “sovereign citizenship” things of this nature could never happen, because as is stands as of right now if you have not reclaimed your “sovereign citizenship” you have no rights no declaration of independence rights, amendment rights, or any other right for that matter, THIS IS FACT that has been proven in the courts time after time,the only thing you have is 14th amendment privileges which can be given or taken at any time by the grantee.

Geithner CAN and will get away with it, simply because they Know now that they can push the American cattle and Rob,sqeeze,strip rights,violate the constitution,bribe,torture and the list can go on and on. DUH! By lobbying against any citizen being able to defend their property/currency from theft at home, making the bank vaults neccessary BY DEFAULT, both sets of thieves continue. Simon Johnson, in an article posted on the RGE Monitor site, notes that the “CEOs of major banks have started to push back against the critics” and cites Richard Kovacevich, chair of Wells Fargo. Johnson mentions the “banking industry’s thought leader,” Jamie Dimon, who declares “that unless we stop vilifying corporate leaders… we will not get an economic recovery.”
Sounds like blackmail to me.
Mr. Johnson tells us the banking CEOs and “thinkers” want us to “move on,” in other words forget about holding the culprits (like Vikram Pandit at Citi) responsible or for that matter even vilifying them too harshly and simply move down the long and winding road with the process of looting the American taxpayer and his children and his children’s children, lest there be bankruptcy and a creeping cancer that spreads over the body of the private sector.
I don’t claim to know anything about banking and economics, but I do know something else when I see it — treason.

Bad debt infecting the entire economy is a greedy and immoral scam devised by the bankers as they went about extending dubious loans to the four corners and then repackaging these questionable loans as investments and selling them down the line to other institutions, thus spreading the disease. It was all about making as much money in as possible in a high-risk shell game. And when it blew up the bankers arrogantly demanded the taxpayers pick up the stupendous tab otherwise we’d all suffer a mega-depression.
A case may be made that this sort of greediness was encouraged and fostered by the international bankers for the purpose of wrecking the economy so they might buy everything up for pennies on the dollar and consolidate their wealth and sell us into slavery. History is replete with this sort of infamy and high treason.
It’s time we hold this execrable swine accountable under Article III, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution covering treason. The bankers have levied (economic) war against us and have adhered to our enemies, the international foreign bankers, and have given them Aid and Comfort. “The Congress shall have power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted,” wrote the framers.
In an email sent here it was suggested as well we send out the military to capture the chiefs of the international banks headquartered in England, France, Germany, and raid the small islands where they do business.
If we can get the country and the military back, I am all for it.

Take the time to read it and identify the similarities against current events. This will really pick your brain.
This is an exercise they bankgsters have played before. For general knowledge, they did it in Mexico about a decade ago. The short story goes like this. Large sums of Money go to Mexico as investment because traditionally rates are better.
They get the signal to start lending practices regardless of risk. Economy grows. House developers start lending money with a variable interest rate and Bankgster buddies start borrowing large amounts of money using worthless land and other assets (but the bank accepts them as valuable items). Right now people in the USA believe that all the crisis comes from the housing collapse without further investigation on a case by case and I bet you it is a lot of Chicago boys and congress buddies that have their hands deep into this mess.
Then all those invested moneys flee the country, they are invested into other economies. Banks start to collapse, variable rate loans soar, people lose their houses, credit tightens, meddle class suffers/disappears, small business force to shut down.
Government gets in action, “saves the financial system from collapsing because they have to or things will get worst” (same lye as in the USA.) and rescues all the bad loans made by the banks (FOBAPROA). Governments denies access to the list of banks and bad loans rescued because of the “bank account secrecy policy”, but some politician names and relatives believed to be in the list. Government buys banks.
The Government instead of using trade, people taxes and oil revenue money resources for social programs, has to cut services, increase taxes, impose new ones in order to save the banks. No to mention the loans that have to incur (of course from IMF, World Bank, etc.) that future revenues will have to pay for the interest in the money loaned.
Once banks have dump all the bad credit to the Government, they are clean (in the black/profitable again) and ready to be sold. Guess who purchase those banks… Chase, Lehman brothers, BBVA, city bank, etc. and the country is flooded with insurance companies like AIG, NY Life, etc.
In Mexico Foregin banks get away with charging fees that would not be accepted anywhere else.
You see, bankgsters are a cartel designed to control countries. The next victim is USA.

I have been slowly over the past year started to “awaken” if you will to what is going on around me. Looking back on the years that I was growing up, it is only now evident that I have matured as an intellectual. I am a freshman in college and looking back on even my entire life I realize how easily manipulated I was by those around me. You start to take these ideas and things over the years as you pick them up and take them on as if they were your own beliefs, that you yourself created. Seeing how blind and manipulated those around me are, I want to shout out to them what its really like looking from the outside in.
Looking at all of the corruption, greed, and cruelty surrounding us in the U.S. I have come to an idea of how to successfully take back our constitutional rights. The reason why there is no mass outcry among citizens of this country is because they have been gradually conditioned into giving up their freedoms since the Great Depression. North Korea is the perfect example of what happens when generation after generation after generation is conditioned to believing what the state says is true. We are starting to see this in the United States NOW.
So what do we do? The leaders that we chose to represent us, to do whats for our best interests are slowly but steadily corrupting. There is a shadow hiding behind our system of government pulling the strings. The mass media tells us that everything is normal, but they are being controlled by that same outside group. The answer is this: The masses are the only thing strong enough to topple this regime. It will only work in 2 different ways:
1) We need a representative to run for president in the next election that will oppose the previous administrations’ rulings. This is extremely difficult and will only happen in 2 ways: a) Someone running for the 2012 Presidential election will be elected who has a strong belief in the Constitution and is not of either the Republican Party or the Democratic Party. This route however depends much on the success of the second option. b) If the Republican and Democratic Parties remain in favor then someone with an unchangeable attitude will have to run for either party hoping that they are hand selected to win and then once in office do a complete 180 on everyone. This has a very low chance of success as people are prone to losing interest in their original cause.
2) This requires using the mass media and its corporate friends against itself by utilizing popular figures/role models to spread the truth. This in itself is rather difficult, because as popularity increases for an individual ( such as an actor, musician, etc.) so do the temptations to follow exactly what they are told to do by their sponsors, for money.
I know that these methods may seem ludicrous but it is imperative that we regain control of our government either directly, or behind the masses of this country’s citizens.
I have never been more empathetic about anything else in my entire life as I do about this.

I was listening to Limbaugh this am and he had a caller who is the wife of a Wall Streeter who was getting one of the big bonuses. She justified the bonus by saying that the cost of living in NYC is going up and without the bonus they wouldn’t be able to afford to keep their kids in private schools. Waaaaaaa!

Please remove the flashing aspect of the Obama Deception advertisement. It makes it impossible for me to view the web site, it makes me physically ill. Keep the ad. Just remove the rapid red and white strobe effect that is the same effect that is known to induce seizures.

He is there to do a job. As you know…and I know…someone always has to answer to someone else especially when you work for a business. He can’t be self-driven in this position. He is driven by duty. No joke.
