Student Researching “al-Qaeda Tactics” Turned in by Academic Informer

A masters student researching terrorist tactics who was arrested and detained for six days after his university informed police about al-Qaida-related material he downloaded has spoken of the “psychological torture” he endured in custody.
Despite his Nottingham University supervisors insisting the materials were directly relevant to his research, Rizwaan Sabir, 22, was held for nearly a week under the Terrorism Act, accused of downloading the materials for illegal use. The student had obtained a copy of the al-Qaida training manual from a US government website for his research into terrorist tactics.
The case highlights what lecturers are claiming is a direct assault on academic freedom led by the government which, in its attempt to establish a “prevent agenda” against terrorist activity, is putting pressure on academics to become police informers.

I saved the guy from the readers digest that cut his leg off with a jack knife when he got it caught in an auger on the farm. he was living homeless in a tent in Wyoming, the Lord sent me there and i saved him to Christ right before he turned his shotgun onto himself. I could not get it though to them that it was the devaluing of the dollar that made gas rise. I tried explaining that the notion is in foreign press, no go, tried explaining inflation, no go. I had to go home (to get on the internet for exact info, they are so poor they cannot afford it) get the definition of inflation, and make a visual diagram showing the value of the money being sucked away to bring to them. I had to be like, THIS IS WHY YOUR POOR, AND GAS GOES UP, AND FOOD GOES UP, AND ANYTHING ELSE, OMG DUH DER DUH!!! Same I gave that paper away to someone else, I could have made copies… People are that dumb! We have to deal with A: Conditioned idiots, and B: The criminal government. This is what we are up against, wake up the dumb, fight the evil. And I understand too its not their fault they are dumb, it’s how they were raised in front of the tube, no matter what channel it be. Your brain is more active sleeping than watching tv? Know that? Ya, wake the freak up… I’m tired of telling you damn people this all the time! If we constantly checked the government from day1, and kept our own public, non profit media, from day1, we would not have these problems. How very resonable and sensible. We think it’s ok for sensible people with legitimate reasons to view this document but not any Tom, Dick or Harry.

People have clearly gone a bit insane, I hope it’s temporary. I have lived long enough to have seen temorary insanity in the public. In the UK, we are world class at taking stupid laws to our hearts. We are possibly the very best at using a stupid law in inventive and mind bogglingly stupid ways. If a law might be applied in a sensible way or a stupid way, you can bet we will push the boundarys of stupidity beyond all recognition. When it comes to ‘jobs worths’, the UK has the best. “Sorry guv, it’s more than my job’s worth”. We used to have someone fighting for our rights on mainstream Telly. Ester Ransom used to expose all this sillyness in an amusing TV program in the 1980’s. In those days it was all pretty tame, nothing like the extremes we have today. It would be someone feeding the ducks at the river being banned by the council from using brown bread. Today we have a university student being arrested and locked up for five days because of what he was studying is forbiden information.

American Resistance Fighter
I think you will find that Jesus was a freedom fighter. He did it with a lot of sensible talk and gained a massive audience. Some of his audience were armed freedom fighters although Jesus had been known to throw his weight around, kicking over money lenders tables for example. He trusted God even when God seemed to be engrossed in a book or something.
We are not all physical fighting types. I also think we are at the audience stage of things. People are now so starved of meaningfull news that they will be more inclined to listen to Alex Jones than before. I am finding plenty of people receptive to the message. I am sufficently ‘weird’ to be able to tune into Alex Jones, but sufficently ‘in tune’ with the silly fashons of the main stream world to be able to pass on the message.
There is an excellent book called “The Tipping Point” by Malcolm Gladwell which explains how when a number of things come together, all of a sudden it’s everywhere. What ever it is, ‘tips’. The very fact that a person like me is aware of this means the tipping point is not far away. However it could tip either way. I say a person like me because I am not usually one of the very first to ‘grok’ something, I am usually amoungs a reasonably large minority of slightly eccentric people. Next come the majority of smart people followed by all the sheep who just follow whatever is popular.
I think it’s clear to everybody that this sort of thing (arresting students for reading something) is bollox. Same as Health and Safety that says you need a full scaffold platform to change a lightbulb. People know it’s bollox but at the moment they still go along with it.
Here is tiny harmelss example of bollox;
Underage drinking and smoking is a problem in the UK. So my local co-op shop has implemented a solution. Whenever I buy booze or cigs I have to press a red button to indicate that I am old enough to purchase them! Everyone knows that’s bollox but the till won’t complete the sale until I do and the staff won’t press the button for me. I have been dutifully pressing the silly button, (I am 43 with a beard) agreeing that I am over 18 every day. Today I said no more. I buy these at another shop. If they all want me to do so I don’t know how I will react.
So I feel I am running out of time to stop the NWO by peacefull means. I will nolonger press that stupid button. I feel it’s my right to buy beer and cigs, I always have before. Something has gotta give. Will I break or will the system?

These crazy people will stop at nothing. Some (McCain types) are convinced that Jesus is coming on a cloud. Others(Bush types) know they’re going to hell and are doing everything to gain spiritual and occult power to stop their own demise. Some (Clinton types) just want oil and power.
But we’ll be alright. Love is the key. Information is the power. We cant beat ‘em with guns…they got the big ones.
And boy, I’ll tell ya, ANARCHYisKING is right. Their other real power is the control over our money.

The Government is baiting the people here… downloading a doc from a government site is no crime.
I think they are ready for us to know the truth because they are ready to respond to our reactions and each of these unjust cases are meant to provoke us into martial law

Sarah #72, yes, most likely they are baiting people and have become more obvious in recent years, as to the hostility shown to the average person, in just about any situation. It’s like they are pushing us to the limit and daring us to do anything about it. The powers that be have nothing but contempt for “the people”. The feeling is mutual and they know it, which is why they have all the bases covered to quell an uprising. How sick it all is!

Just goes to show ya Big Foot and Lochness Monster is more legitimate than Al Qaida which ranks up there with the tooth fairy, easter bunny, and hobbits.
I love when “the law” engage nothingness in the name of fighting terrorism and cleaning up those streets of america. If they really wanted to fight and protect from terrorism;;; they would have secured the borders 2 weeks after 911,,,but they didnt.
Im sure i will eventually get a dose of lawful retardedness at my door step, wont be the first and wont be the last …like i said before…there is no such thing as organized terrorists like they explain it so they gotta find something to do and make it up as they go

Eh, I hope the “Preacher” finds his bed at an earlier time when the next Al-Qaeda post comes up. I think I only saw two or three posts out of 8 pages(so far) concerning the above Guardian article.
As we continue to watch our ammendment rights soil the sides of our sewage pipes, I’d hate predict what may come next. It’s bad enough already. Whatever happened to ‘knowing your enemy’…or allegedly real enemies? Perhaps learning the real truth is, after all, what people are getting arrested for. Other than the scare-tactic Day 1 Iran article, good job Alex.
