You are right, potable water is disappearing. One great example is the Ogallala Aquifer. In case you don’t know, eight of the plains states get their water from this massive underground system. This aquifer holds about as much water as Lake Huron and lies 50 to 300 feet below the surface. Since the beginning of large scale irrigation in the 1940’s, the volume of this aquifer has dropped 90 feet. The problem is that this aquifer was caused by the meltoff of receding glaciers, so there is no new source to feed it. Much of the water that is used does trickle back into the aquifer, but, it is laced with pesticides and other pollutants. These pesticides are coming back through into drinking water and crop water. It is estimated that the aquifer will lose almost half of it’s volume by 2050. The problem with this is that when the water table falls to low, we have no access to it. It hides under rocks formations and is fed by capillary action. So yes, the water cycle does put water back, but not all of it in the same location;n evaporation can carry the hydrogen and oxygen around the world. And yes, pollutants do travel back into the system and are not always filtered out by natural means. When we abuse these sources, there is no easy fix.

BTW, this researcher is a friggin’ quack. Viruses, especially cold an influenza, are ALWAYS mutating. My wife is an immunologist, I showed her this and she laughed her ass off. Maybe that is why he was speaking on a Russian news feed rather than an American one. He would be laughed off the air in America for his ignorance.
