The U.S. official, who requested anonymity because the assessment is classified, said the estimate represented an increase of at least 5,000 fighters, or 25 percent, over what an estimate found last year.
On Wednesday, U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry assured Afghans that America would continue to fight until “extremists and insurgents” were defeated in the war-torn nation.
The new intelligence estimate suggests such a fight would be difficult. Not included in the 25,000 tally are the part-time fighters – those Afghans who plant bombs or support the insurgents in other ways in return for money – and also the criminal gangs who sometimes make common cause with the Taliban or other Pakistan-based groups.

This is weird the taliban are supposed to exist when the people I talk to in the Middle East say they have never met any Taliban members, nor have they ever heard of anyone else say the Taliban existed in their Countries. People in Pakistan are wondering who the hell this supposed taliban is when they have not seen, heard of, or even know what a Taliban is.
Hmmm, something is fishy in the Media and I smell a big fat lie about a big fat fake war and there are no Taliban, oh yea, its the name the Military gives to the civilians they have killed. Like we used to do in Vietnam, anyone killed was a Viet Kong so it wouldn’t be listed as a civilian killed. Media misdirection, the thing that won wars, well got support for them anyway and kept the people thinking opposite of what was the truth.
A missionary over there has mentioned that the people are running when they hear the US military is coming into their area. Basically its because anything that moves is a target and anything that doesn’t stop is taliban.

I agree completely with you Dave. My two tours in Iraq I came to the same conclusion about most of the Iraqi Freedom Fighters. I remember guys we interrogated said they were not connected to Al CIAeda, but were fighting to end the occupation. I could not find it in myself to hate another human being who would do the same thing I would do. That is why I left the Service, I just couldn’t live a lie!

Bank will issue you a credit for a venture, and if venture succedes, it is good for both parties involved, since bank is partner.

I really do feel for these people…we may not agree with some of their customs but that’s the beauty of a diverse humanity. In Islam, if you have more in savings than the value of 3 ounces of gold, you must pay 2.5% of the total amount you have in savings in charity. It’s called Zakat, a method to purify wealth.
There is no such thing as an Income Tax a State Income Tax, only 2.5% of what you have in savings to be paid at the end of every Lunar Callendar year.

Zakat doesn’t have to be paid to the government it can be paid to an organisation which distributes that money to the needy and the poor or if you choose, you can pay it directly to the poor. The government does not chase you for it. It is merely between you and your Lord alone.

So to put it all in perspective take for example an employee:
Annual Salary $35,000
Annual Expenses ($25,000)
Savings……………………………………. $10,000
Value of shares owned in a business…………… $10,000
Dividends during the past lunar year………….. $ 1,000

Total……………………………………… $21,000
House used as a dwelling – Exempt***………….. $ 0
Car used for transportation – Exempt………….. $ 0
Money in a retirement account – Exempt****…….. $ 0
Amount subject to Zakat……………………… $21,000
Amount of Zakat $21,000 X 0.025 = $525
So ultimately a person would sit down once a YEAR NOT ONCE A MONTH and workout how much Zakat he is obligated to pay.

Use a little common sense , if the worlds super power wanted to train and arm the Afghan military and had EIGHT F’N years do to it . . . . . IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE !
They don’t want a strong and independent Afghan military , A. for it may turn on U.S. military B. It’ll be harder to control C. They have an excuse for US military to stay in Afghanistan . Poor afgans join the taliban for money and security. NPR report: Military has cut money from recuting because they have made their yrs amount of recruit. They go further to say that the reson for this is because of the bad economy. So in effect poor people fight wars to make money when they become broke$. So in essence The Americans and the Afgan people are all victums of poverty. I will not have a job that I might have to kill another. What is so funny is that most of you think the Taliban is an Afghani movement. NO. It’s a Wahabbi movement originating from Saudi Arabia funded with Oil Money and by the Federal Reserve under Jimmy Carter ( Zibignew Byzynski in Obama Administration now)which was facilitated through the ISI. They are the same Mujaheden who formed the base ( Al Queda) and while they have adopted a primarily Pashtun facade are drawing mostly foreign fighters. These Taliban are much braver than the average ball brained couch potatoes here in the USA. How many of us would die for our country? America is finished as far as I can see. The NWO is using medical scare (H1N1), economic orchestrated terrorism and exported 90 % of manufacturing to China, dumbed down and ball brained our youth with sports, poisoning our food supply, yes orchestrated food shortages will happen (they drilled this earlier this year if you remember)….
