One thing to think about too is distance…if 99% of everyone in Gov uses the M16…worthy to about 600-800yrd…get a rifle that is capible of 800-1200yrds…will save your life.
M200 while expensive is beautiful if you can afford.
also the FN FiveSeven shoots a 5.7×28mm round from a glock looking pistol that defeats up to 28 layers of kevlar. This tiny round is very distructive and the SS190 has a velocity of 2,133fps. The knockdown power is about the same as a 9mm(small) but the hydrostatic shock of the fast moving round is the true killer.

My conversations with military personnel attending Appleseed shoots as part of Project Appleseed confirm what you say, Your Master. They come to Appleseed to learn to become a Rifleman. They claim what they are taught in the military is “suppressive fire,” not marksmanship. Recently, Appleseed instructors trained a huge class of reserve military personnel shipping out to Afghanistan because none of the military personnel were properly trained and qualified with their rifles for the type of engagements they would likely face in Afghanistan—most firefights in Afghanistan are 500-yards or greater engagements.
I encourage every patriot, regardless of the type of rifle they own, to attend an Appleseed shoot. You can learn in one weekend the essential skills of a rifleman—hitting any target out to 500 yards with iron sights. http://appleseedinfo.org/

open sights @ 300yrds+ is a “best guess” Anyone doing real business will need optics at range. while very skilled marksmen can obtain long didstance kills with calibrated open sights…it’s not for everyone…IE 10%. That being said, he’s right…any class or refresher WILL allow you to put lead on a target. There are mounds of information on the web on how to make a shot count at distance.

Iron sites are for pros… EVERYONE should use and learn iron sites first… Hitting targets at 500 meters is VERY easy if you KNOW HOW..
I actually prefer iron sites over optics… There is no reason why you should use a firearm beyond that of sports.
Once someone can master their training wheels (iron sites) you then have a HUGGGEEE advantage when you move to optics…
This is why.. Learn how to calculate MOA = Minute of Angle
This enables you to instill your iron sites disipline with long range targets…
Im talking 800-1k+ distances… in other words A LOOOONG fkn way and hit a paper plate!
SO NO.. optics are TRASH for anyone that cannot hit repeatably with iron sites at 500 meters…

The FN Five-Seven is only good in that capacity if you get the good government available only rounds. The civilian available rounds aren’t nearly as effective at penetrating armor. That is one reason why I seriously doubt the “Ft. Hood Shooter” acted alone or that it wasn’t a staged event.

Please people, do NOT listen to some of these posts about Class 3 devices (i.e. full auto and silencers) YOU MUST HAVE A CLASS 3 STAMP from the federal government to own these types of weapons and attachments.
You can buy them at any Class 3 licensed dealer but it will take up to 3 months to get the stamp. (Stamp Fee $200.00)
You can apply for the stamp at the gun dealer where you buy them from. However the application is sent to BATFE, a background check is conducted and then it is sent to your local “Chief Law Enforcement officer” or local Judge to be signed off on. (Check with your local law enforcement office before paying your $200.00 because most of them won’t sign off on them and you will be out $200.00.
LOOPHOLES.
There are two way to get around local law enforcement sign off.
1. Form a “revocable living trust” and have it purchase the device or weapon. You will still have to pay the $200.00 stamp fee but no local law enforcement sign off is needed. CONSULT and attorney to make sure it is setup properly. The problem with this is you need 5 very close and trustworthy friends.
2. For an LLC (limited liability Corporation) this is cheaper and can be done with you alone. The LLC can apply for the Class 3 Stamp and it does not have to be signed off on by local law enforcement.
Also I highly recommend that you purchase all your weapons through your LLC. this protects them from being taken from you if you are ever sued for anything because they are technically not “your” assets. this applies to everything you own. PUT THEM IN YOUR LLC. consult a Corporate attorney to help you with this. You can form an LLC for less than $100.00 if you look around.
NOTE: The stamp must be carried with the Class 3 device at ALL TIMES, otherwise you will be guilty of a Felony and will never own a weapon again.
Some of these people on here are giving advice that will get you thrown in jail on felony charges and that is irresponsible and down right stupid. PLEASE PEOPLE DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU GET ARRESTED. A felony mean all your guns are gone and you will never be able to own another.

Remember that a treaty needs to be ratified by the Senate, and yes William, our constitution states that any RULE that stands in contradiction to the constitution is null and void. I think it important to draw the distinction between the word rule and treaty or law since most people believe that article 6 gives a treaty right of way over our constitution. It does NOT if any of the RULES contained therein are unconstitutional.

I was taught that automatic firearms were illegal without proper licenses and permission from the government.. I was wrong…
My gunsmith told me that all ANY legal CITIZEN has to do it buy one!!! Class 3 weapons (belt fed machine guns) only be registered at your LOCAL police department… Matter of a piece of paper stating you are not a menace of societ… STAMPED AND DONE
Silencers are also LEGAL.. Once you have registered with LOCAL police – you can have them and use them on ANY firearm you own!
MYTH = you need a FFL
FACT = FFL ONLY required to DEAL in automatic and/or foriegn firearms (like AK’s etc)
You dont need to be scared of owning firearms that are perfectly LEGAL! Thats why they are in a rush to close that door… They know they can win this fight b/c EVERYONE is dumbed down and dont know the TRUTH!

Set up an NFA Gun Trust http://www.guntrustlawyer.com/ .
It is the same a regular trust but has specific language relating to firearms and firearm accessories regulated by gun legislation, e.g., silencers. The beauty of a Gun Trust is that you DO NOT need to notify your local sheriff nor do you need to send your fingerprints to BATF when you purchase an automatic weapon or a silencer, among other guns restricted. All you need to do is pay the transfer fee (like $200) and send a copy of your Gun Trust to the seller. The gun is the property of the Trust, which you possess as a trustee of the trust. I contacted the lawyer at the link above and he put me in touch with a local attorney who set the trust up for me. It only took a couple of days and cost me about $300. Check it out.

I think they are great ear protection when playing on the range. Other than that, um…shrug I dont know… just to have fun i guess. But overall, if you spend a lot of time playing with your hobby (firearms) a silencer will keep you from going deaf.
No one has anything to worry.. no foreign entity will try and take your gun rights.. Your leaders will do that if you let them..
Try the power of persuation.. dont talk to people like some right wing crazy nut job… Simply give them some history and the reasons why we have this right to bear and keep arms. And then tell them why others are interested in taking them away =)

AP are NOT illegal in 30.06 & .50 cal.
In fact,you could put 30.06 AP rounds into a .308 case and it still hasn’t broken the law of having .308 AP.
Handgun rounds are the primary calibers that are illegal for AP.

I don’t know where you live, but AP rounds are not illegal EVERYWHERE. Where I’m at, AP rifle rounds are LEGAL, while AP pistol rounds are legal UNLESS in possession during the commision of a felony.
Same goes with “explosives” where I’m at. While a “destructive device” is illegal, that doesn’t apply to things like dynamite or certain other explosives which have standard uses.

Keep one or two ready. If you have a stockpile, burying them is a viable option for keeping them secure. Just soak them in cosmoline and store them in a waterproof container. AK’s in particular will work just fine, even if dug up and cleaned after a few years or more.
It’s also a good idea to have a couple of junker guns laying around if the day ever comes that they go door to door doing confiscations. You can hand them some worthless crap, they’ll leave thinking they got your guns, and you won’t get your brains splattered across the wall when you try to fight them off at your front door. Once the excitement dies down, go dig up your AK’s and get the hell out of town.
Remember all those people who had their guns confiscated during the Katrina mess? Yeah, they all said they’d never give them up either, but when the man came a knockin’ they folded like a cheap FEMA trailer.
Guns and guts are great, but without some brains in the mix…

The first step in being a honest arms bearing american is to keep your firearms safe. Always keep them locked in a safe place so that home intuders to not and/or cannot locate/steal your firearms.. Also, even if you do not have children, keep them locked up so that accidents are prevented.
Last, learn how to shoot one once you fully understand your adult responcibilitys that come with a firearm.
Firearms have multiple purposes, I for one wouldnt want any of you to own one (regardless of the situations at hand) without knowing and following adult handling and saftey practices.
Lock and load people… Practice every other day to stay sharp. Take a friend and teach them the good and lawful ways of firearms..

You don’t bury your primary defense weapons, you cache the extras that you can’t carry around with you due to weight and space concerns. This is simple guerrilla warfare strategy here. By spreading out your gear, you ensure that it cannot all be taken in one fell swoop. You also increase your chances of being able to resist should your main weapons/ammo be taken.

If you have only one rifle and one pistol. Dont bury them. If your like most folks with more than you can shoot and carry. Then by all means put some with ammo any place but around your house. Dont bury them deep because you may need to get to them fast because the ones in your home are in jeopardy. Put them in sealed containers like pvc pipe, ammo cans, any water tight container. I have seen some very nice ones at the gun shows lately that are surplus filter containers.

Compressed air weapons can be easily made that can launch metal and/or plastic projectiles into the blades, downing the helicopter. You do not need major firepower to bring down a copter. Just get something into the blades or jet intakes, and down it goes. Compressed air can launch objects hundreds of feet, enough to reach a low flying helicopter.
Also, no blast, no flash, no heat signature, and no powder residues for forensics.

The point in the citizenry owning guns in mass, I mean the same ones they use in the military, is the show of force. Just as our government uses a show of force against “enemies” as a means of deterring their will to fight; so a well educated, informed, and armed citizenry is necessary to prevent corruption and tyranny.

Politians see this country as dumb, illiterate, and themselves as educated, and powerful.
The moment Politians saw the citizenry as equally educated and powerful, they would stop the outright corruption they are currently displaying. This is the point of an armed militia being necessary to the preservation of freedom.
Anyone, who would look at the number of homicides in this country, and think that the danger of some gang member killing you is far greater than the threat of tyranny and oppression that would come should we all be disarmed, is not aware of history at all. I have been born and raised in Long Beach, CA. This is one of the more dangerous cities on the West Coast, and the guns laws are just as tough as any other city in CA, yet everyone who wants one has one.
I moved out here to CO, and now I can buy an AR15 with a 100 round barrel, a red dot site like you see in video games. More people have concealed weapons permits here than any other place in the country to my understanding, and yet the crime is immensely lower than CA.

You’re not entirely correct.
1.) An FFL is NOT required for all purchases in all states. Many states still support private party sales, which do not require a transaction through an FFL. If your state REQUIRES that you go through an FFL for all transactions, I suggest you run like hell and move to one that still allows private transactions.
2.) Some states DO require that full autos be registered through your local police, but a federal stamp is also required.
Though what you said is probably true where you’re at, it still largely depends on where you live. Some states enjoy a little more freedom than others – even if it’s not much.

I think a muffler off of a small lawnmower engine may work reasonably well as a silencer. Why not give that a try.
I think weapons getting to Mexico are also AK47 and other places. Not from USA. Think for a minute … Guns are traced from factory to FFL, and I’m told that BATFE now gets a copy of every firearm transaction in the country. So if guns are ending up in Mexico it would be easy to trace them to gun dealer. I suppose the serial numbers could be ground off, but I’m sure there are other means of tracing guns.

Again, the 2nd amendment was meant that the people and the government would be on an equal playing field. To this, some would bring up the pointless argument “so are you saying everyone one should have ballistic missiles or something like that?”; this is not at all what I am saying. Weapons that cause mass casualties like that, will always cause damage to the unit using them as well, so the cost is too high.
The tools of an oppressive government are ones that subject the people and control them, they therefore require ones that leave as many alive as possible while still maintaining the level of control necessary. If the government ever did get to the point where they were willing to carpet bomb entire cities, than we are in trouble anyways, but the ones performing the carpet bombing, even in the case of a UAV is still a soldier, a soldier with a choice, which is why along with the 2nd amendment, an educated and well informed populace is critical. Groups like Oath Keepers are key to this.
Sure there are a lot of bone heads out there, but as long as enough of those in the position to enforce things are knowledgeable, than they will return to the position of public servants that better society.

The intent of the second amendment was to state that we have the right to own and carry the same weapons as the military, and congress can’t pass any laws that abridge on that right.

Seems there is a lot of hearsay and bulls--- being said on this thread about full auto ownership. I owned two transferable MGs, one was a belt-fed WW2 German MG34 and the other was a WW2 German MP40 submachine gun. I sold them both and realized a hell of a “profit” on both over what I paid for them. Here is the deal on “legal” machinegun ownership. MGs are governed by the National Firearms Act of 1934. This requires that the purchaser pay a $200 dollar tax (to the ATF) on the TRANSFER of the MG from one person to another. The tax is paid only once; at time of transfer of ownership. I bought my MG34 in 1995 and sold it in 2009. The person that bought the gun had to pay the $200 tax on the transfer from me to him. The premise that one can get a MG by permission of the local cops is a half-truth. The tax stamp and the Form 1 or Form 4 come from the ATF, the purchaser must also obtain the signature of the CLEO (chief law enforcement officer) in his location. The CLEO actually signs the back of the ATF form declaring that he has no reason to believe that the purchaser would use the firearm for anything other than “legal” purposes. Once the CLEO has signed the form the purchaser is then fingerprinted in duplicate (one set goes to the ATF and one set to the FBI), the signed form, fingerprint forms and the check for $200 is then sent to the ATF. In 3 to 5 months the form is sent back (hopefully approved) and then you can pick up your gun. That is how the system works. As a libertarian do I agree with this? NO!! But getting caught with an “unregistered MG” will earn you a 10 year stay at club fed and a 10k fine for each offense. My opinion is that all MGs in this country are “legal” under the 2nd admendment whether the damned gummit knows about them or not.

Please people, do NOT listen to some of these posts about Class 3 devices (i.e. full auto and silencers) YOU MUST HAVE A CLASS 3 STAMP from the federal government to own these types of weapons and attachments.
You can buy them at any Class 3 licensed dealer but it will take up to 3 months to get the stamp. (Stamp Fee $200.00)
You can apply for the stamp at the gun dealer where you buy them from. However the application is sent to BATFE, a background check is conducted and then it is sent to your local “Chief Law Enforcement officer” or local Judge to be signed off on. (Check with your local law enforcement office before paying your $200.00 because most of them won’t sign off on them and you will be out $200.00.
LOOPHOLES.
There are two way to get around local law enforcement sign off.
1. Form a “revocable living trust” and have it purchase the device or weapon. You will still have to pay the $200.00 stamp fee but no local law enforcement sign off is needed. CONSULT and attorney to make sure it is setup properly. The problem with this is you need 5 very close and trustworthy friends.
2. For an LLC (limited liability Corporation) this is cheaper and can be done with you alone. The LLC can apply for the Class 3 Stamp and it does not have to be signed off on by local law enforcement.
Also I highly recommend that you purchase all your weapons through your LLC. this protects them from being taken from you if you are ever sued for anything because they are technically not “your” assets. this applies to everything you own. PUT THEM IN YOUR LLC. consult a Corporate attorney to help you with this. You can form an LLC for less than $100.00 if you look around.
NOTE: The stamp must be carried with the Class 3 device at ALL TIMES, otherwise you will be guilty of a Felony and will never own a weapon again.
Some of these people on here are giving advice that will get you thrown in jail on felony charges and that is irresponsible and down right stupid. PLEASE PEOPLE DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU GET ARRESTED. A felony mean all your guns are gone and you will never be able to own another.

One more note.
You CAN NOT sell Class 3 device to another individual with out going through the same application process. this must be done through a licensed Class 3 dealer and the person buying it must complete the application process as well and pay another $200.00. If you do sell it without going through the process you are both guilty of a felony.
HOMEMADE SILENCERS ARE ILLEGAL!!!!! Unless you are a registered manufacturer of Class 3 devices. Don’t get caught with even so much as a empty 2liter bottle on the end of your gun. you WILL go to jail on felony charges.
Silencers and full auto’s are fun to shoot but PLEASE do your home work on this.
