The gathering was organized by local tea party groups around the country, who are arriving in Washington this morning by the busload. Conservative leaders in Congress, led by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), have taken to the airwaves to encourage the activists to show up on the Capitol steps and demand meetings with members of Congress. The crowd grew to about 10,000 by noon — a significant gathering for a weekday but far fewer than the 9/12 protests earlier this fall. Bachmann has promised to lead some protesters to a press conference inside the Capitol to express their opposition to the health care bill in person to members of Congress.
Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Ohio) actually invited the thousands of protesters to go into the House buildings to try to meet their member of Congress after the rally.

Not true! I might have agreed with you 15 years ago. I’m out of country at this time in Australia. And I’m dealing with people here and at home there is a great awakening going on world wide. More and more people are coming into the fold all the time, and the elite are getting very worried. Hence why they are pushing their agenda so fast and hard right now, and in the process making big mistakes that shock even those who don’t want to believe and cause them to start asking questions and open their eyes. Cutting off imports or imposing high tariffs is not the answer. Having a sound monetary system, meaning no fiat paper money, would foster fair and balanced international trade. Closing a countries borders to international trade, only hurts the economy of that country. Look at Cuba and North Korea.

Why elect anyone anymore? Direct democracy is the answer. Everyone responsible for himself/herself. Everyone responsible for deciding key issues. Everyone responsible for carrying them out. The currency act was the real cause of revolt TY Chris . The Colonist did not want to pay interest to use the Crowns paper.All taxes ie TEA had to be paid in gold.Thats why we had a TEA PARTY. Without the “currency act” their would have been no revolt,we would still have the articles of confederation.We would have far less tyranny and debt slavery than we have now. Ignore the distraction in the above posts. Someone wants you to engage in silliness and ignore the subject of this article. There is good reason.
This article should be an answer to all those around here who claim that we who spread truth are really “doing nothing” and we simply need to arm ourselves and wait until it’s time to shoot. This news will awaken even more people to the truth. It will cause people to start looking into somethig that they may have not considered before. We win by numbers … Not bullets.
These people and those to follow in similar protests will eventualy show that organized, mobilized peaceful prtests can stop the government machine. Gandhi did it with trains and on foot. We have technology that enables us to get information to millions in seconds.
Keep spreading the information. It works. We can turn this thing around if we keep talking to everyone we come across and continue to peacefully awaken minds.

Well, let’s see … for a dork, as you put it, I HAVE studied philosophy and hold advanced degrees during which time I read and own MANY of his FIRST EDITION works, beginning with “My Experiments With Truth.” I recall classroom comparatives were made between his life and that of both Eastern and Western monks due to his experimentation with fasting and chastity (even though he was married).
I know your argument well. This is the argument that non-violent action is NOT passive. What your simplistic brain seems to disnmiss is the element of the argument that discusss toward WHOM the violence is aimed. Yes, Gandhi admitted that his method WOULD incite violence – but towards HIM (and the non-violent non-cooperative protesters). Perhaps you should try some REAL studying. Oh, that’s right, I was educated by “the system.” Nobody gets a real education in an accredited university. You need to get your information from only where YOU go to be “truly” educated.
Gandhi preached non-violent, NON-COMPLIANCE. Plain and simple. During his trial he ACCEPTED onto his shoulders the blame for those who usedviolence against the government that I spoke of earlier? To quote the man directly, he told the judge, “I know that my people have sometimes gone mad. I am deeply sorry for it; and I am, therefore, here to submit not to a light penalty but to the highest penalty. The only course open to you, Mr. Judge, is, as I am just going to say in my statement, either to resign your post or inflict on me the severest penalty.” Clearly the plea of a violent madman, eh Dolly?

Case in point, ME, I went to the hospital last monday for a bad wrist.
while in the ER the MD noticed I was coughing, sent me for X ray.
Found something and sent me to catscan.
Next thing I know I’m being admitted into an isolation room.
I’m saying WTF I can’t afford this $hit!
Come Thursday they tell me BAD news I have TB, good news I qualify for ACCESS.
More bad news I can’t work for at least 3 weeks, so how the fok will I buy the meds?
Upon release I had to go to the County Medical Office, I’m thinking I’m fucked!
9 months of antibiotics I can’t afford 4 antibiotics a DAY for how long?
Might as well get the flu poison! Today I go back and am told
“as long as I get my meds there I DON’T HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM”, joy.
I feel like I’ve just got a reprieve!!!

The term tea-party should be left to reflect those patriots of yesterday that rebelled against tyranny and threw tea into the Boston harbor a true act of rebellion. Today’s gatherings of patriots should have a different term. Tea party’s and tea baggers sounds really limp wristed, just has no punch to it leave that term for Glenn Becky call it something that reflects why the people are gathering. Like the great Gadsden flag being flown at these events these gatherings of patriotic Americans should be called something like a RATTLE as in we the people are warning you, we’ve been provoked, were pissed off and were here rattling letting you know how angry we are with you. Just a thought.

Sadly there are so many who cannot just speak truth. This goes for both parties. There is no need for anger or name calling. I strongly support my beliefs, but it only makes sense to argue logically and with reason. Unfortunately America as a society has decided that being entertained is more important than being educated. America has come to the conclusion that being spoon-fed is better than pitching in and making someone else’s life more comfortable. What has happened to real men and women? Where are people who will work and make a sacrifice rather than look for every way to leech off others.
A friend from Africa told me that they take care of their own over there. Growing up my family took care of my great-grandmother until she was 93 and my grandmother until she was 76. My grandmother died of cancer, yet the whole family helped out. We did not have the money for medicine, but we did not expect someone else to have to give it either. We just worked hard. Human nature does not like that, but maybe it is time to go against human nature.
I know both sides have heard things like this before, but I just want to emphasize it…
Communism is taking from someone else to give to someone in need.
Love is unconditionally giving of yourself to someone in need.
(Look at Christ the ultimate giver. Or perhaps the many who have thrown themselves on grenades for their comrades.)
Communism sounds so good, but it only works in a perfect world.
(You can’t force someone fall on a grenade and call that love or even self sacrifice) (except sarcastically)
I think that heaven will be perfect!
But for now we just need selfless men and women.

Dick Morris, the campaign impresario who repeatedly rescued Bill Clinton when he was in trouble, has turned Republican and provides useful political insight into whatever he writes about. Morris says the New Jersey and Virginia outcomes send a message to some 83 Democratic congressmen and 20 Democratic senators who come from so-called red states that John McCain carried in the last election.
The message is Obama can’t be counted on to carry them to victory. If they support his health care plans, his economic stimulus, his hesitation in Afghanistan, etc., and if the people don’t like it, these guys are on their own.
“If Obama couldn’t bail out Corzine in a blue state, and couldn’t bail out Deeds in a borderline red state, he can’t bail you out,” says Morris to red state Democrats.
In any event, the Obama White House has to be concerned. Republicans are back in the game.
Perhaps Obama has been too ambitious for change, too cocky, to ignore warning signs.
As Joe Lieberman says, perhaps “change” is better introduced by small bites, incrementally instead of by huge gulps that cause indigestion.
Maybe, just maybe, Americans can spot phonies better than wise guys suspect.

The elites didn’t create polarization but they exploit and reinforce it as much as possible and they combat awareness by increasing the amount of tension between the polar opposites. The more awareness there is the more tension the elites manufacture to suppress it. The divide and conquer technique of control is based on the illusion of polarization and the only way to defeat the elites is to transcend polarization.

The “Two-Headed-One Party System” as Gerald Celente calls them,will do exactly what they want, when they want. Most of us have been listening to Alex long enough to figure that one out. Don’t get me wrong, I admire the HELL out of anyone trying to make a change for the better, but I just am so very tired of fighting evil and I don’t think enough care to really make a major difference. Sorry for being such a downer, but this “Fort Hood” incident has really gotten to me.
