Accusations of excessive force have been leveled at a Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputy in the jail, after a woman is arrested for theft back in March.
The lawsuit for one-point-seven million dollars says, a deputy who used a taser to subdue the woman used excessive force, and other officers present, did nothing to stop it.
“Step right over there,” an officer is overheard to tell 60 year old Nancy Mason just before her booking process in the county jail in March. She was charged with theft over $500 dollars.
She refuses to take off her jewelry before being booked, and tells the officer in the video that she says in her lawsuit, is Hamilton County Sheriff’s Sergeant Rodney Terrell.. “I will report you,” she is overheard saying, and the voice on tape says, ” report all you want, I will not keep telling you.”
