The 17th Amendment has been a key factor in the downfall of our republic, and in the transition to democracy.

Good job pointing out LPAC, this is made explicit in the Homeowners and Bank Protection Act that everyone should be pushing on all their local, state, and federal officials heavily.
It grants powers back to the states, and allows for a federal means of fighting the depression as well.

that is not a barrier to freedom of expression. what Jeffrey Weaver wrote was a threat, and it was a promise to carry out his threat of killing the BART cop, his wife, and his child. normal rules apply no matter where you are, hurling senseless comments (even if they’re not meant seriously) is just not the right thing to do…
carry on with intelligent discussions, and you’ll have nothing to fear.

Amendment 17 – Senators Elected by Popular Vote. Ratified 4/8/1913. History
The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures.
When vacancies happen in the representation of any State in the Senate, the executive authority of such State shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies: Provided, That the legislature of any State may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct.
This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election or term of any Senator chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution.

June 29th, 2009 at 2:54 pm
HERE’s THE PROBLEM EVERYONE, there is NO stopping the one world government from forming, do you understand why? If your a believer in the Bible and God then you should know why this is happeneing…IT’S PROPHESIZED in the books of DANIEL and REVELATION: In the book of Revelation, John refers to the final and ultimate Antichrist as the Beast. The Beast will be the embodiment of the entire spirit of antichrist. He will have supernatural power and global influence. The Beast first appears as a political leader, who will make a covenant with Israel and assume world leadership. Later he takes on the role of a religious leader who is worshipped. Supported by his sidekick – “the False Prophet” – the Beast will deceive the world. He, his prophet, and Satan will form an unholy trinity to rule all of creation. Now for this ALL this to come true, there must be a ONE WORLD GOVERNEMENT, why you ask? This is the only way one can have power over the all kindreds tongues and nations and because it’s prophesized, “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13 7-8.
Elite use fear to gain power!!!!!!The economic collapse, the fake global warming, terrorism, war, all of which is engineered to expand government with new govt agencies and bills passed, all of which is engineered and planned. Where’s it all heading…to the formation of a One World Government where paper currency is no longer used because “They” will say “We need a new system, the old one failed”, and all the people will be brought to their knees by the next depression and will cry out,”please Big Brother, give us the new system so that we may eat and buy again and chaos is no more. The implantable RFID Verichip will be the solution. Aaron Russo, remember him…he spoke to David Rockefeller, Russo asked Rockefeller what is the point of all this and rockefeller answered him and said, “to get everyone chipped.” The paper currency will turn into “Digits” controlled and accounted for by massive databases and computers ran by the One World Bank and the One World Government ran by the ELITE. Nobody will require passports anymore because your Verichip will contain your COMPLETE identity. Everyone in the World can be accounted for, tracked, and easily accessible to the hands of the top of the FAMOUS PYRAMID and ALL SEEING EYE (the eye of the Anti-Christ). Once the world accepts the VERICHIP SYSTEM, HE (the leader of the New World Order) will causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to recieve a mark (VERICHIP) in their right hand or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name (Barcode within the Verichip) REVELATION 13:16-17. Without the chip, you will not be a part of society, you cannot be paid nor can you buy if you dont get a verichip to recieve digits in your account.
We are in the last days before the return of Christ to rapture his believers, NOT religions, his believers. Turn to Jesus Christ, pray sincerely, believe in your heart and mind that Jesus Christ did exists and he died for your sins on the cross, EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM, because he truly loves you, ask for forgivenesss from the LORD and for Him to come into your heart and You Will Be SAVED. The end is knocking at the door, your decision now determines your eternity, Heaven or HELL.

I guarantee that you will not like it once the Church is taken out of this world. I look for the translation any moment, RJM!
RJM, you may want to consider the 4 verses in Scripture that refer to the “antiChrist’…the ONLY 4 verses in the whole of Scripture that refer to this spirit. They are in 1 and 2 John and they are used in the plural only. Therefore, there is no “single” entity that will arrive as “THE” antiChrist. It is a condition of spirit, a conceptual behavior and outward manifestation of ideology. John indicated that there were “many” antiChrist’s even at the time of his writing. Check into ESword and once downloaded, search for that.

“Senators who intended to pursue selfish interests out of line with those of the state
would have to contend with fooling a relatively small body of state legislators who were
educated and had as the entire occupation of their time the affairs of state. To be able to act
disingenuously around a small highly motivated body of political men is very difficult compared
to fooling a large mass of partially interested men.”
This is the most important statement in this article and the best way to explain to people why the original intent of the constitution is better than this “democracy” we now employ due to the 17th ammendment.

“The 17th Amendment has been a key factor in the downfall of our republic, and in the transition to democracy.” Is this all? No article? Is it just not showing up for me? I dunno, I agree everything from the 10th on needs to go. In fact, there are a lot of flaws in the Constitution which has served us so well. If we had the right minds I’d favor a new Constitution, but in my opinion we do not have the brains in America right now. I suppose as people are fighting the British new world order we are gaining knowledge along the way so hopefully if and when the time comes we will have the needed understandings and knowledge to make a new Constitution. If we do not have the need knowledge and understandings than we can of course just restore the Republic according to the principles enshrined in that document minus amendments after the 10th.

We don’t need a new one, just enforce the old one, and throw out the majority of crap that was inserted circa 1913 and on! Then add to the old one, things like this document Shall Never be changed or Challenged! And make sure that it is in clear laymens terms and not in legal speak!
The biggest problems that we have with the Constitution is the interpretation of it! Hell, it doesn’t need interpreted, It just needs to be READ AS IS, and people would be better off!
The problem with Interpretation, Is that everyone tries to get it to say whatever they want it to say, ignoring the fact that it says it in plain unadulterated english!
June 29th, 2009 at 4:34 pm
The 17th amendment was the final nail in the coffin of the Republic. The first was the un-ratified 14th amendment. Which reduced the Citisen to a federal subject. The following amendments prove such. How else could the federal government impose an individual income tax, if the government couldn’t define who is a “citizen”. The un-ratified, unconstitutional 14th. Is the precuser of the oppression of the people. This is why the courts can interpete the Bill of Rights in any way they see fit. Because it is they who decide who has standing. If the people were Citisens of their respective State. The Bill of Rights would offer the protections which it was intended. But as long as the federal government decides who and what is a citizen. We are beholding to that power.
The 17th amendment took the power of the Citisen of the States and placed it in federal control.

Bravo, very well written position paper regarding the seventeenth amendment. It is wholly encouraging to see more and more individuals putting the pieces together of the destructive trinity, i.e. the 16th, the 17th, and the FEDERAL RESERVE Act, brought down upon our Republic in 1913.

RJM,
My friend, I can’t find the word rapture anywhere in the bible, and I also find another passage indicating that He is against those who teach fly away to save souls.
Is it you mean by “rapture” that in a twinkling of the eye we will transformed into our spiritual bodies” upon his return?
Beware the false christ, the anti christ who will come first and “fly all good christians away,” those christians whom later will beg for mountains to fall upon them for their error?
Commenting on the article, I’d have to say I mostly agree with it’s premise(s)…
Reject all government agiences
Educate yourself, independantly.

Watching it all happen now Reply:
July 1st, 2009 at 6:45 am
The word rapture does NOT appear in the Scriptures. The word was improperly transliterated and the original Greek is harpazo. This means “to be caught away” from something. It is “an extraction”. It is often confused with the word “apostasia”, from which people infer apostasy and further confuse the issue.
Additionally, there is no single entity that embodies the spirit of antiChrist. The Beast (BTW which one are you talking about? The one that rises from the sea or the one that rises from the earth?)…the Beast is a WORLD SYSTEM. One must first understand the language of the scriptures to properly identify what is being said. Study in the Greek, or get a KJV with Strongs numbers.
The Beast is already being exposed…..an our “good friend” Barry Soetoro (aka Barack Hussein Obama) is bring it into the open…that is his assignment.
June 29th, 2009 at 6:29 pm
We need the correct language to win. At the top of the language priority list are the terms “reset” or “reboot”. These terms will refer to the process of rejection of the old corrupt laws and replacement of a new installation or our US Constitution. I like “reboot” better because it gives an image of kicking them in the hind as we replace them. It is important that people understand what it is we are fighting for. Everyone should understand what the goal is. It is a method to guard against a “bait and switch.” We need the language to win.
June 29th, 2009 at 6:34 pm
It is pointless to argue what is right or wrong with what remains of our constitution today. It is beyond repair. We need it all new again. We need to reboot it. And start fresh.
June 29th, 2009 at 7:13 pm
Sadly, but true. The despotism & plain disregard for our Constitution has w/o a doubt, brought US down. Secret societies w/ very specific secret World Gov agendas, orchestrated from atop the pyramid of control, from the darkest & highest orders have infiltrated from w/in every house, every office, & every desk in our government. To the point, where what we now have is almost unrecognizable. If they ever listened or seemed that they were listening, nowadays they just lie while in front of the cameras, & behind them they do whatever their masters tell them to do. We are not free, “They” are free. It is not “We The People” that they refer to, but “We The Elite”. To them we are just cannon fodder.
June 29th, 2009 at 7:51 pm
I disagree. People are easily manipulated; “friends of the popular government” have, by description, a vested interest in said government. I see how that could work, but I also see how others with vested interests (like people with greater – or an infinite supply of – money) could exploit this. Furthermore, the definitions of the actions of the Monarchy, Aristocracy and Constitution are flawed. It appeals to the virtuous parts of it’s nature, but misses the reality that there may be many interpretations of the good of the state, or good of the people; and most often it is easiest to USE political ideas: say “freedom”, “virtue” and “equality”, and when everyone says “I want some of that” you can do anything under those guises, since you didn’t define you pretexts. When they are defined, they are often/always broken when no longer useful. Furthermore, the Constitution itself has loopholes, unfortunately, and although it is supposed to be (rightly) the highest law of the land, many Imperial laws (especially concerning the Virginia Company) were never rescinded – just faded away from view, remaining in the hands of the ARISTOCRACY (and European powers). Europeans are equally owned in the current system. You’ll notice that they do what they want unless the costs (overt risks) outweigh the benefits (subversive achievements), and so people say “look at how our system has worked in the hands of the virtuous.”
Left and right paradigms, they’re all “populist” – they have to be to be expedient and politic. They’re the same – understand the paradox to rise above it . That requires detail. There’s a lot of rhetoric in this article, but the political systems of the world (definately the US too) were being manipulated from the outset by self interests: the only evidence hinted at is the problems we now face. That’s not enough for me.
There’s more fallacies that I care to describe, but i’ll try with a list:
– Stupidity (only occures with organic damage or corruption of info);
– Authority is deserved by, and gained with, strength (authority is a limiting, problematic and childish concept that we use as a means to an end; to believe in superiority of a higher heirchical figure is to be decieved by what is essentially bureaucratic selection);
– Virtuousness (change the accepted definition, manipulate the facade given) will be automatically rewarded with clarity, justice and position (blatant deceptive rhetoric, not realistic within a bureaucracy which selects the virtuous and instills them onto the “plebes”, chooses the ends and the means to meet them (each aspect of the entity may have differing goals), declares that which is true and false (public arena science) and therefore the definition of clarity and justice, and each limited compartment can be easily corrupted by external entities to change the above.
Sorry to say, but doesn’t that sound like every oppressive government in our history? I think the way to offset popularist victory is to solve the problems which allow it: dumbed down education; no knowledge of hypnotic and conversationally hypnotic techniques; aggressively defended instilled beliefs in corruptable scriptures, symbols and entities; pandering to the expressed goals of leaders and accepting that which you are given without debate and research. I’m sure there’s more besides.
This is getting long, but there’s more. Lincoln and Washinton were high ranking free masons (nothing wrong with that until the manipulation began), and human vulnerabilities are always used on leaders to ensure they serve other interests while appearing vindicated. Worship helps instill that and ensure it isn’t challenged, like the Roman Piso family invention of Christ around 350-375 AD. What I’m saying is that these people Alex, and many others (including myself) are challenging, they’ve just been manipulated themselves. Rothschilds and Rockefellers not least. We’re all equal, just some of us are indoctrinated differantly, and dissociation and imbalance breeds the same – Schitzophrenia develops most commonly in those whose families behave in unbalanced [dissasociated] ways (Bateson 1978), even when such people are adopted (double bind communications); and Schitzophrenia is often developed alongside just that (DID). Organic damage is also largely evident in such patients, but I find the official descriptions of such disorders very suspect, subjective and all-enveloping.
Phew. Take it with a pinch of salt, and I’ll gladly have an informed debate about it.
June 29th, 2009 at 10:12 pm
The correlation of many acts that became damaging to this country during the early years of the 1900’s are clear. His argument fit the time and motive, a swift act on part of the Banks to guaranty protection for their future deeds.
To “Open” (2/3 vote by State) the Constitution and fix this problem during this most corrupt time would be troubling. They, not all but some select members would have access to tinker with other areas of the Constitution in secret and make thing even worse.
Some how there has to be a way to fix the Keel.
That act could be the column that Rome crumbles.

I’m a bit confused by all of it…..wasn’t the 17th amendment brought in to wash away rampant corruption, cronyism, and expidite the election of Senators as from about the cival war onward their were many states that were not even sending Senators as the legislatures could not elect any due to partisan infighting, pork barreling, corruption and charges of senators being the lackeys of the corporate robber barons of the day?
Sounds an AWFUL lot like what the senate is now doesn’t it?
Maybe it has less to do with the method of election than it has to do with who is running for election and how informed the voters have chosen to make themselves.
It’s been said many times before…”The government you get is the government you deserve”
June 30th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
The 17th A was a by product of the corruption of the 16thA and the Federal Reserve Act. Enacted to support and re-enforce the idea that the Federal Reserve and the Banking system is legitimate and to assure it stays in place. The Congress and Senate have sold out long ago. They are protected by agreement with FRS. Edward Mandell House, I hope you burn in HELL.
Why are illegal aliens not subject to the laws that you as American(C)itizens/United States(c)itizens are. Because they are not (c)itizens of the United States and therefore are not subject to the powers of Congress. So they are not required to have a “DRIVER LICENSE”, AUTO INSURANCE, IDENTIFICATION, ECT. Jurisdiction, it does not extend to them unless they commit a “Common Law” crime. Because we are under Admiralty and Maritime Law and they are under the Commom Law.This is now essentially an “Title of Nobility” to those of foreign birth illegally in this country. They may do what you may not do. Be governed by “the Common Law”. They have no SS card.
The following is my repost from 6-28-2009, about the Cap and tr8tors can still change vote. 13thA and 14thA and what it means. It is meant for information as to how you have been deceived. I hope it is informative as to the deviation from the original Constitution in comparison to what we now have.
Cap and tr8tors can still change vote.

John Galt
A couple of points that have been missed. The north was changing from agrarian to industrial economy. The south’s economy was still agrarian and expanding much on the basis of cheap labor and the northern politicians were trying stop the competition. The war was fought over States Rights and property rights. The States were Independent per 9A & 10A.
Slaves were private property owned by the wealthy plantation owners. This is the rub. The Fed told the Southern property owners that their property, the slaves no longer belonged to them. This directly impacted the south’s economy. The British involvement was as always, to support the conflict through banking. Driving the uSA deeply into debit to the British. Which is why Lincoln began printing debit free greenbacks to curtail borrowing from England. His refusal to stop the printing is what got him killed. It was not by accident he was killed on April 15 th, now tax day. England wanted the central bank here to pay interest to them.
After the war, as correctly stated above, the Organic Act of 1871 was passed. It created a new United States, a Corporation. There are two the united States the first governed under the Constitution. The second, created by the Organic Act of 1871 was the United States corporation, that entered into agreement (contract) with England to repay the debt.
The new Corporation created its own Constitution. Omitting the original 13A, a prohibition of Titles of Nobility, and inserting the one most are familiar with. Abolishing slavery. Because of the debt it was necessary to bind the people to a contract through Congress to repay the debt. Reconstruction. The new United States was governed under the laws of commerce. Admiralty and Maritime law.
The Emancipation Proclamation took effect only in the District of Columbia. Then enter the 14A. This legislation made all those persons that had previously been (slaves) property and elevating them to the status of citizen (lower case), giving them rights and benefits, becoming United States Corporate citizens with rights limited by the corporation. This created two Classes of people. Those who had not been slaves were (C)itizens (upper case) of their respective States of the Union, American Citizens a landed people. And corporate (c)itizens, former property, became property of the United States. Subject to, the Powers of Congress, “exclusive legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten miles square)” Admiralty and Maritime jurisdiction.
Today we are all mislead into believing we are United States Citizens governed by the united States Constitution with unalienable rights. We are not.
Today we are corporate citizens with limited rights governed by the United States Constitution under Admiralty and Maritime contract law. You have no landed rights. This was all perpetrated to assure slavery to the Bank of England. The House of Rothschild.
The 16A levied a progressive income tax through the enforcement by the IRS to pay the interest on the money borrowed by Congress in your name from the newly created Federal Reserve System. The nexus is the application and your acceptance of the Social Security adhesion contract. You are a corporate citizen that has promised everything you own as collateral in payment of the debt incurred by Congress of the United States now in receivership to the foreign bankers, even the dirt you stand on.
This nation is broke. It has been bankrupt since 1933.
Now that is slavery
Becareful of what you ask for. You just may get it.

It is not the 17th amendment that has subverted the government but the 14th. The sovereignty of the states was abolished and its state nationals were turned into citizens of the united states. Your freedom was sold out at this point.

I take issue with your assertion on Page One that in the original design of the American system, the “aristocracy” is represented in any way by the U.S. Senate. While I understand that this assertion is often made, it is also refuted by Madison himself. He took great pains in The Federalist to argue why this body could in fact never become an aristocratic organ.
Our constitution was written immediately following a painful and bloody revolutionary war over (among other things) the abuses of the titled class, so it seems exceptionally unlikely that there was any sentiment whatsoever to give “the aristocracy” representation in the new – Federalist – government. Rather, what did become the structure of the constitution is that a U.S. Senator was to be elected by a body (a state legislature) that itself was democratically elected, and highly responsive to the citizenry. Where exactly is the aristocracy in this model? It’s simply not there. Our whole definition of “federalism” – as you point out – is one predicated upon the notion of an association of sovereign states, not classes of individuals.
The 17th absolutely needs to be repealed. On this point we agree.
