The Federal Reserve leaked to CNBC’s Steve Liesman on Friday that they weren’t targeting long rates. Why such a leak? Probably because the Fed did not want to appear impotent in controlling the long rate. So they put out the word through Liesman that they weren’t targetting the long rate. Can you imagine what would happen to the markets if it sensed long rates were beyond the control of the Fed?
The Fed can of course print money to buy up every Treasury bond in existence, but the inflationary ramifications would be Zimbabwe like, and crush the dollar on international currency markets. Are we near the phase where all hell breaks loose? I have never even answered, maybe, to this question before. It’s always been, “no.” Now it’s maybe.
What really has me spooked is another article out this afternoon (on a Sunday) that Drudge has even picked up. It’s a Reuters story by Alister Bull. The headline: Federal Reserve puzzled by yield curve steepening.
Translation, the Fed doesn’t know what is going on, but they are really scared.
Here’s more from Bull:
The Federal Reserve is studying significant moves in the U.S. government bond market last week that could have big implications for the central bank’s strategy to combat the country’s recession.
But the Fed is not really sure what is driving the sharp rise in long-dated bond yields, and especially a widening gap between short and long term yields.
Do rising U.S. Treasury yields and a steepening yield curve suggest an economic recovery is more certain, meaning less need for safe haven government bonds and a healthy demand for credit? If so, there might be less need for the Fed to expand the money supply by buying more U.S. Treasuries.
Or does the steepening yield curve mean investors are worried about the deterioration in the U.S. fiscal outlook, or the potential for a collapse in the U.S. dollar as the Fed floods the world with newly minted currency as part of its quantitative easing program. This might be an argument to augment to step up asset purchases.
Another possibility is that China, the largest foreign holder of U.S. Treasury debt, has decided to refocus its portfolio by leaning more heavily on shorter-term maturities…

The U.S. Treasury must sell a record net $2 trillion in new debt in 2009 to fund a $1.8 trillion projected fiscal deficit, resulting from falling tax revenues, an economic stimulus package and sundry bank bailouts.
It’s the Chinese, and any other Treasury bond buyer who follows the markets, that have pulled away, to varying degrees from buying Treasury long securities. No one wants to be the last one holding bonds, where the new debt about to be issued is in the trillions.
Bull continues with the part of the message the Fed really wanted to get out: With officials still grappling to divine the factors steepening the yield curve, a speedy decision on whether to ramp up the Treasury debt purchase program or the related plan to snap up mortgage-related debt seems unlikely.
“I’m in wait-and-see mode,” said one Fed official who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “We laid out the asset purchase plan and we’re following it. That is going to have some affect on various interest rates, but together with a hundred other things. So I don’t think we should be chasing a long-term interest rate,” the official said. It’s the same message as Friday. The Fed does not want to spook the world into thinking that it can’t push long term rates down, so it says it is not trying. But if rates continue to climb, a panic out of Treasury securities is a very likely scenario. And Bernanke has only one play to force long rates back down, buy every long bond in sight, which of course is highly inflationary and puts upward pressure on rates. How’s that for a dilemma?
The end of the current financial system, as we know it, may be iminent. If you would have asked me even two weeks ago if collapse was imminent, I would have said it was highly unlikely, now I am saying it is possible. Bernanke may be able to patch things up short-term, if he is lucky, but long term the U.S. financial structure is in serious trouble. There is just too much Treasury debt that needs to be raised. An international panic out of Treasury securities, even a slow controlled panic, means the Fed will be the major buyer. This will ultimately mean record inflation.
And keep this in mind, we have never seen a collapse of a currency like the dollar. Even the hyperinflation during Germany’s Wiemar Period can not serve as an example. Since the dollar is the reserve currency of most of the world, a panic out of the dollar means more dollars will return to the U.S. shores than any country has ever experienced.
Other countries have had collapsed currencies, but never in the history of world of finance has so much currency been held outside a country of issue that could come flying back, almost on a moments notice. If the panic out of the dollar starts, even if Bernanke stops printing money (unlikely), all the dollars flying back into the U.S. could cause a huge price inflation all on its own.

Yesterday, I tried to post but was blocked…guess the truth is subjective to those in charge of this forum.
Anyway, for what it’s worth…the 6000-plus-year experiment in human independence from God is about to come to an end. Yeah. People say there can’t be a good God since there is so much evil. But the natural world needs a supernatural creator.
Something finite could not possibly create everything in existence. Something infinite created our finite universe.

This is not the proper medium to be selling religion to the rest of us. That’s all you’re doing, selling it. You call it “witnessing,” I call it a sales pitch and let me tell you something brother, I’m not buying it. I spent the first 18 years of my life in church and while I can see the social benefits of a positive-minded collective of people with mostly good intentions coming together to worship their God and promote peace, love, harmony, and forgiveness; sadly this is not what religion-especially Christianity and Islam-have become. Today the church promotes ignorance, intolerance, bigotry, social-isolationism and anti-progressive goals for humanity. Stop looking to an archaic collection of stories, parables and tall tales like it has any relevance to your life today. Sure there is some great wisdom in some of the Bible, but stop claiming that it is the “divine word of God” when it is so obviously the work of fallible men. Why do you need the crutch of religion to sell you certainty in an uncertain world? Why do you feel the need to constantly look to scripture to comfortably explain the events you see happening everyday? A life and a mind free from religious dogma is so much more satisfying. infowars’ slogan is “there is a war on for your mind.” Don’t you believe that the Church is just another one of the powers that seek to control your mind and behavior? Free your mind from religion, it severely clouds your judgment and reasoning capabilities.

God gives us free will to worship. Free will to sin. God didn’t kill those children. While you, lucky, and others like you sit in your barco-lounger eating your megaburger, and pointing fingers at other people, those children are dying. God gave US the command to feed the poor. He wanted us to have a part in His work.
Children are not dying of starvation due to lack of food. There is enough food on this planet in the garbage dumpsters every day to feed everyone who is hungry if we could get it to them. They are dying because rotten, putrid-souled people are stealing supplies, burning homes and crops in the name of power. As we’ve been discussing here, it’s all the NWO’s manipulations to depopulate the world. Don’t blame God for man’s foolishness.
Don’t knock God until you’ve tried Him, tested His goodness. The high one can get from knowing Jesus Christ personally beats hands down ANY high the world has to offer. I’ve been living it more than 30 years.

This is in response to those who try to convince themselves and others God doesn’t exist via poor arguments, based on 0 understanding of religion. Keep rationalizing your behavior and believe you can ‘Do what thou wilt’. Does no one see that had we followed Gods teachings, we wouldn’t be in this mess. Its selfishness, greed, jealousy, hatred etc that has caused all the suffering and problems in the world….yet that is how most people are in the world, that is a fact. People try to rationalize their atheistic/agnostic views, mainly so they can think well I can do wtv I like…I know a few have reasons purely intellectual.
The main reasons atheists use are, suffering of people…Evolution (Still a theory right? its not fact….)…To follow the satanic doctrine of ‘do what thou wilt’, in other words do whatever they like, the worse the better…Skepticism instilled into people by the media and so on.
If anyone has read, or understands what is in the bible. It all makes hell of a lot of sense what is going on.
If you understand Adam & Eve, you can begin to understand why God allows us to f--- ourselves over. Its basically you picked fruit from the tree of knowledge and disobeyed me, go deal with the world without me and see how you fare. This world is full of evil, most people are evil people without even realizing it. Sad but true. I would class evil as a mindset which puts all the emphasis on the self, at the expense of others.
I suggest people read the bible, and educate themselves on religion before making excuses as to why you don’t believe in God. Its infuriating that people like I was, will start speaking against God and telling others it doesn’t exist without even understanding the basics of religion and not getting tied into the stereotypes.
Christianity is a belief of the bible, Gods word. Its not a church, its not an organization and its not the cause of all the wars and problems in the world.

I would recommend watching it again; as well as other mainstream media. It is important to know the enemy, know their techniques and mindsets. If you don’t familiarize yourself with the propaganda, you make it much more difficult to awaken others. I don’t like to do it myself, but I force myself to watch that crap for this very purpose. Using a tactful approach to awakening others is a lot more effort, but is also much more successful than simply shouting “wake up”.
And to answer your question…yes. I’ve felt that way since I was 7.

(C) Poor and Rich is pretty relative to the economic climate, if we have a dollar collapse there will be only poor.
Summery: Fiat money does not make anyone “rich”. To be truly Rich you will worship God not money. Governments screw up every thing they touch. Some people are just fine being poor, leave them alone.

If you grow or store your own wheat, buy a small hand crack grain mill, learn how to make a sourdough starter, you can make your own bread. Why buy? Save your silver for ammo and toliet paper.

Hahahaha how true. Here in Miami, there are so many people out of their homes, that the media declared this morning that there is no longer enough property tax money to go around. That taxes must go up and services must come down. Front page – Miami Herald. I’m pretty sure that its happening in other cities too. Shucks a loaf of bread is anywhere from $3 – $6.00 here. And its gone in a day.

I have 2 year propane and wood rotating stock, 6-12mo food for four rotating stock (not survival food), 1yr survival food for one, and the means to grow, hunt, fish for years. I think you’re right about the global currency and that it will be being implemented at crash time.
It’s probably going to come down like this:the feds will issue the new currency on a 10 to 1 basis,meaning,give us $100 dollars,we’ll give you 10 “globo’s”.
Gas will cost 2.5 globos per gallon($25.00), a loaf of bread will be 1 globo($10.00) on and on.
In fact,I’ll bet that there’s a warehouse somewhere in VA or Washington that already has the currency printed up and waiting for the plug to be pulled on the dollar for a smooth transition.

And of course, those refusing to accept the chip are backwards thinking, rifle toting, right wing extremists that need to be rounded up and re-educated in the camps. Identity theft will make for a good excuse as to why they need to be implanted. Still, I just can’t bring myself to believe that any believers would accept the chip. Some Christians believe that the believers in christ will be taken off the Earth and spared from the trials to come upon the Earth. Definitely,if people are hungry enough-even most Christians- they’ll happily take a chip to gain access to food and shelter.
Hunger will do strange things to people,women will trade an hour for their 12 year old daughters for a bowl of soup,so you can imagine that our handlers aren’t too worried about the implementation of some draconian systemic change.
The real tricky part for the government will be collection of weapons,they absolutely must get this done but if things get nasty enough,the owners of those guns will realize that they are needed for their very survival.
I’m 46 and I believe this will not only play out in my lifetime,but in the next few years at most.

Nope, and I’ll tell you why. Americans have sat with our thumbs up our asses WAY too long. We’ve allowed what’s happened, and allowed our coutry to be stomped into the mud by our government. “Talk” won’t cut it because the government sees us as a bunch of do-nothings, and rightly so.

The largest portion of the military is with us, the largest portion of police are with us. They’re tired of putting their lives on the line only to be spit-on for it. The majority of them are you & me, they have spouses, children, parents, friends….that’s what the blood-thirsty NWO can’t grasp, not everyone will sell-out like they have. About once or twice a year I visit these message boards and it always amuses me how things never change. A lot of good posts, pointing out the problems of today and yesterday, but never a solution. It’s quite refreshing how many young enthusiastic minds have awakened to such realities such as the private federal reserve, builderbergers, chemtrails, new world order, Illuminati, Fema camps, fluoride, vaccines, police state and the loss/erosion of Constitutional rights. On the other hand, very, very few are willing to take action or do anything about it! And it’s not just our generation, but there seems to be enough blame to go back three, maybe four generations of apathetic sideline spectators.
I really get a kick out of those that are “stocking up” on food, guns, ammo etc.! So what you’re really saying is “I’m not going to do a damn thing until “THEY” come after my family and break down my front door”! Correct?
Folks, it’s quite simple really. WE’RE already SCREWED! The time to act was 50 years ago! Technological advances have surrounded us and made revolution a fantasy! They have a number of nasty weapons at their disposal if the slightest hint of defeat looms their way.
Absolute power was acheived by the Rockafeller’s & Rothschild’s of the world the moment we accepted paper script (currency – lol) backed by absolutely nothing! Game over!
If there is any chance of surviving what is headed down the pipe, the men of this nation had better learn to step up to the plate and grow a pair, pretty damn quick! Jy, how much space you need depends on what you plant. (Don’t follow the instructions on the seed packets; you’ll waste valuable space.) Make every inch of earth yield food for you. Let root crops like potatoes be covered over by viney crops like squash & pumpkins; the vines will keep the potatoes from getting green. Plant cucumbers among the corn: the cuke vines will grow up the corn stalks ! honest; it happened in my garden (by accident). Consider container planting. stock up on medicines & anything you need but cannot make yourself. Learn how to use plants for medicine. Dehydrate as much food as you can. Even use leaves — dandelion leaves, plantain leaves, chickweed, shepherd’s purse, lamb’s quarters, etc — you dry the leaves, store them, & add them to soups & sauces for extra taste & nutrition. Start at sites like Survival Creed, the Patriot’s Cave, South Dakota Preppers Network, EZnewstube.com, Scoutinlife’s homestead & Preparedness blog, etc. When my family was small, it was my goal to feed my family veggies all winter (6 months, here) on just what I grew in my garden in summer. 2 times I almost made it. Other years I had fongus on the corn, or blight on the tomatoes, or an early frost, etc. My garden is about 30×50feet. We can make it, America can recover from this.
We all need to pull together and support each other. If we are willing to go all out, we can recover from the massive the dept that our elected officials allowed and lied to us about.
We must begin eating out of tin cans and sharing those cans of food by passing them around after each person scoops out a spoonfull. We will all have to go on prosac and lithium for say 6 to 10 genrations and each of us will have to work 80 hours a week until the age of 80. We can make it, yes we can.
We will all have to sacrifice and as the tent population grows, along with riots, we must share our psychotropic prescriptions. Big Pharma will be able to keep up with the demand of 100% saturation for six(6) generations, if we pray and work together as a team. Yes it is true that most will go insane and many will become sterile, but we can adapt, yes we can and we know all you good citizens can pay down this dept.
The Fed will be there to help us all, keeping track of every penny earned and spent to make sure the sacrifice is fair and evenly distributed. Emergency tranquilizers will be made available though an emeregeny relief program now being drafted. To offset the stress, if everyone in your immediate family dies, your work hours will be reduced to 60 hours a week and your tranquilzer allotment will be increased by 20%, along with food stamps and other essential coping priovisions.
We have to quit thinking about ourselves and think more on terms of what lies ahead six to ten generations from now and realize that with our new plan the debt will begin to lift at that time thanks to everyone’s hard work.
Because we believe, “you can make it, yes you can,” this new policy will begin very soon. Have hope America, think at least six generations from now, plan for it and it we can make it happen. Well, I just want to make sure we all stay positive.
They have a plan and it will work if everyone cooperates, but it’s going to take time.
Part of the new plan will involve issuing a social security card at birth, with the dollar amount owed on the dept by that person printed on the card. Right now it’s just over a million bucks that each new born baby owes, to be paid to the Fed before they die. That and they need to create a payment schedule, where the parents pay 10 thousand each year until the age of 18, when the kind must then begin paying on their own. The Fed’s Gerber Baby Plan will generate 180 thousand dolars of debt payment from each child by the time they are adults and that will add up to the trillions needed to be sent off shore to the IMF and new global banksters.
Because the Fed has to borrow more money and needs another 100 Trillion dollars, this new social security card will limit how much one owes when born, eliminating the possibility of getting stuck with more debt, as the debt increases and that’s a GOOD DEAL!!!
And there will be a safety net for kids that can’t pay. They will become our new military and will fight all the new mercinary wars to pay down their debt. That way, the global elite that have hijacked all our instituions to co-opp the world’s militarys will be better able to pay for and have huge armys for the many business ventures off shore, as they raid all 3rd world nations for land, minerals and other resources.
And then David Rockerfeller cna really thank mainstream media for their cooperation at brainwashing us all and feeding us propaganda that Bin Laden did it and that we need better security to maintain the mass insanity that will result.

I have to say that all-in-all, I’m quite impressed at the level of civility here.
Something interesting… President Obama said that for his next 100 days he would finish them in 72 days and then rest on the 73rd. In the event that he meant something by that, the 72nd day is June 10th I believe. I wonder what “… I will rest” means? Hmm.
Remember that gold will likely be confiscated, making possession and use federal crimes. Sometimes it is better to have “useful” things rather than gold or silver.

Ozyboy, this isn’t happening by accident. By the law of economics, inflation and interest rates are supposed to move in opposite directions. But that assumes an economy that is not externally manipulated or controlled by a shadow government. Anyone who believes that we live in a free-market economy is fair game on such things as oceanfront property in Kansas and women having the right to vote. I’m not going to get into the concepts of which is the better economic model to follow, Capitalism or Communism because God blesses or curses a nation based on its acknowledgment and obedience to Him rather than on what economic principles it holds to. But just the same, there are basic laws to economics just like there are laws in physics and aerodynamics. Just understand that America’s financial failure is not happening by accident or happenstance. It has been planned for many decades and is now coming to fruition.

Excellent article, I thought the comments are scrappy. As for the issue of the moderators and religion. I believe moderation can be useful and have no problem having my posts reviewed. I believe some of the comments about religion to be condescending but correct about the issue of its relevance in the message boards. I have no problem admitting my faith without forcing it down everyone’s necks. Also the well considered article is about the time growing short for the worlds markets. I myself use these comments to promote what I like, that is only human, so I usually cut others some slack, hoping they return the favor!
For example, I have been encouraging people to give to the money bomb, we may disagree about faith or even politics, but we all agree on two facts if we are honest:
1) We love Alex and support his teams job.
2) The NWO is Evil
Now whether or not we agree upon the specifics is a mute point, I believe the markets are out of control, and are deteriorating up to the cliffs edge. When the market will collapse is not as important, in my opinion, as are we prepared? This is why we need to decide the best use of our time and money – Who should we support? Who is proving themselves time and again? My answer respectfully is Alex Jones and his awesome team. If you agree, consider pledging towards the money bomb, keep up your efforts and do not let the urgency of the hour dull your wits.

Has been for Years as Fractional Reserve Banking has diminished it’s actual intrinsic value to 1/10th less the face value of the cotton based paper it’s printed on today.
