And Zinc, garlic pills for any type of ensuing virus such as common cold, etc. is great to take to redcuce time/severity of cold/flus. My kids kinda raise their eyeborws when i tell them of the upcoming events and how to get ready ie. keep your money OUT of the bank etc. But they know by past exp that momma is right about zinc and garlic(if you begin taking at onset of symptoms...sore throat etc.) b/c it has worked for them! BTW, alll those fancy new cold products on the market are basically zinc!!!so you are just paying a lot more that you have to-just buy zinc capsule or lozenges and take 2x-3x reg dose for the 1st day or so then take 1x-2x reg dose thereafter until you are back to normal-my little doubting Thomas's swear by them now!! also, get a bottle of L-lyseine for just about any type of skin ailment like fever blisters, shingles, poison ivy, psorasis, eczema- it will go a long way to reduce severity/duration of ailment also.
