Iran Attack Scenario: A Catastrophe

"Israel has said a strike on Iran will be "unavoidable" if the Islamic regime continues to press ahead with alleged plans for building an atom-bomb." (London Daily Telegraph, 6/11/2008)
"Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany joined President Bush on Wednesday in calling for further sanctions against Iran if it does not suspend its uranium enrichment program." Mr. Bush stressed again that "all options are on the table," which would include military force. (New York Times, 6/11/2008)
We are fast approaching the final six months of the Bush administration. The quagmire in Iraq is in its sixth painful year with no real end in sight and the forgotten war in Afghanistan is well into its seventh year. The "dead enders" and other armed factions are still alive and well in Iraq and the Taliban in Afghanistan again controls most of that country. Gas prices have now reached an average of $4.00 a gallon nationally and several analysts predict the price will rise to $5.00-$6.00 dollars per gallon at the pump by Labor Day. This, despite assurances by some major supporters of the decision to invade Iraq that the Iraq war "will pay for itself" (Paul Wolfowitz) or that we will see "$20.00 per barrel" oil prices if we invade Iraq (Rupert Murdoch).
One thing the Pentagon routinely does (and does very well) is conduct war games. Top brass there are constantly developing strategies for conducting any number of theoretical missions based on real or perceived threats to our national security or vital interests. This was also done prior to the invasion of Iraq, but the Bush administration chose not to listen to the dire warnings about that mission given to him by Pentagon leaders, or for that matter, by his own senior intelligence officials. Nevertheless, war gaming is in full swing again right now with the bullseye just to the right of our current mess – Iran.
It’s no secret that the U.S. is currently putting the finishing touches on several contingency plans for attacking Iranian nuclear and military facilities. With our ground forces stretched to the breaking point in Iraq and Afghanistan, none of the most likely scenarios involve a ground invasion. Not that this administration wouldn’t prefer to march into the seat of Shiite Islam behind a solid, moving line of M1 Abrams tanks and proclaim the country for democracy. The fact is that even the President knows we can’t pull that off any more so he and the neo-cons will have to settle for Shock and Awe Lite.
If we invade Iran this year it will be done using hundreds of sorties by carrier based aircraft already stationed in the Persian Gulf and from land based aircraft located in Iraq and Qatar. They will strike the known nuclear facilities located in and around Tehran and the rest of the country as well as bases containing major units of the Iranian military, anti-aircraft installations and units of the Revolutionary Guard (a separate and potent Iranian para-military organization).
Will this military action stop Iran’s efforts to develop nuclear weapons? Probably not. It will probably not even destroy all of their nuclear research facilities, the most sensitive of which are known to be underground, protected by tons of earth and reinforced concrete and steel designed to survive almost all attacks using conventional munitions. The Iranian military and Revolutionary Guard will most likely survive as well, although they will suffer significant casualties and major bases and command centers will undoubtedly be destroyed. However, since Iran has both a functioning Air Force, Navy (including submarines) and modern anti-aircraft capabilities, U.S. fighter-bombers will suffer casualties as well. This will not be a "Cake Walk" as with the U.S. led invasion of Iraq in 2003 when the Iraqi Army simply melted away and the Iraqi Air Force never even launched a single aircraft.
Not even close.

If the United States attacks Iran either this summer or this fall, the American people had better be prepared for a shock that may perhaps be even greater to the national psyche (and economy) than 9/11. First of all, there will be significant U.S. casualties in the initial invasion. American jets will be shot down and the American pilots who are not killed will be taken prisoner – including female pilots. Iranian Yakhonts 26, Sunburn 22 and Exocet missiles will seek out and strike U.S. naval battle groups bottled up in the narrow waters of the Persian Gulf with very deadly results. American sailors will be killed and U.S. ships will be badly damaged and perhaps sunk. We may even witness the first attack on an American Aircraft carrier since World War II.
That’s just the opening act.
Israel (who had thus far stayed out of the fray by letting the U.S. military do the heavy lifting) is attacked by Hezbollah in a coordinated and large scale effort. Widespread and grisly casualties effectively paralyze the nation, a notion once thought impossible. Iran’s newest ally in the region, Syria, then unleashes a barrage of over 200 Scud B, C and D missiles at Israel, each armed with VX gas. Since all of Israel is within range of these Russian built weapons, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and virtually all major civilian centers and several military bases are struck, often with a result of massive casualties.
The Israeli Air Force orders all three squadrons of their F-16I Sufa fighter/bombers into the air with orders to bomb Tehran and as many military and nuclear bases as they can before they are either shot down or run out of fuel. It is a one way trip for some of these pilots. Their ancient homeland lies in ruins. Many have family that is already dead or dying. They do not wait for permission from Washington, DC or U.S. regional military commanders. The Israeli aircraft are carrying the majority of their country’s nuclear arsenal under their wings.
Just after the first waves of U.S. bombers cross into Iranian airspace, the Iranian Navy, using shore based missiles and small, fast attack craft sinks several oil tankers in the Straits of Hormuz, sealing off the Persian Gulf and all its oil from the rest of the world. They then mine the area, making it difficult and even deadly for American minesweepers to clear the straits. Whatever is left of the Iranian Navy and Air Force harasses our Navy as it attempts minesweeping operations. More U.S casualties.
The day after the invasion Wall Street (and to a lesser extent, Tokyo, London and Frankfurt) acts as it always does in an international crisis – irrational speculative and spot buying reaches fever pitch and sends the cost of oil skyrocketing. In the immediate aftermath of the U.S. invasion of Iran, the price of oil goes to $200.00 – $300.00 dollars a barrel on the open market. If the war is not resolved in a few weeks, that price could rise even higher. This will send the price of gasoline at the pump in this country to $8.00-$10.00 per gallon immediately and subsequently to even higher unthinkable levels.
If that happens, this country shuts down. Most Americans are not be able to afford gas to go to work. Truckers pull their big rigs to the side of the road and simply walk away. Food, medicine and other critical products are not be brought to stores. Gas and electricity (what is left of the short supply) are too expensive for most people to afford. Children, the sick and elderly die from lack of air-conditioned homes and hospitals in the summer. Children, the sick and elderly die in the winter for lack of heat. There are food riots across the country. A barter system takes the place of currency and credit as the economy dissolves and banks close or limit withdrawals. Civil unrest builds.
The police are unable to contain the violence and are themselves victims of the same crisis as the rest of the population. Civilian rule dissolves and Martial Law is declared under provisions approved under the Patriot Act. Regular U.S. Army and Marine troops patrol the streets. The federal government apparatus is moved to an unknown but secure location. The United States descends into chaos and becomes a third world country. Its time as the lone superpower is over.
It doesn’t get any worse than this.
Then the first Israeli bomber drops its nuclear payload on Tehran.

We need to tell this administration that we have enough oil in Gull Island AK. and to leave the Iranians alone because we don’t need their oil or the excuse of oil. It’s already been reported that they are far from getting a working nuke. We are not afraid of Iran having nukes but rather the military is afraid of their ability to protect themselves from Israel. This isn’t about nukes that’s an excuse to wage an illegal war, it’s about control of the middle-east and the raping of another country besides Iraq, Afganistan and our own.
What I don’t like hearing is they are continuing sanctions. Sanctions are another word for a silent war where they starve the country by cutting off supply lines of food and other imported commodities. They are waging a war on Iran with these sanctions which starves women and children until they die without ever firing one bullet. Guilty until proven innocent is how we are conducting business while killing off their population with sanctions.

Hmmm…what to sell, guns, knives, food…could do a Katrina on some grocery stores, break into to homes and loot. Could even hit the rich peoples homes and roll ‘em. I love the training that the Army gave me. Now that I am out, I have been very, very bored…And I am only one of lots of ex-soldiers back from Iraq. I just bought a 6 month supply of (nuclear radiation protection) Iodine pills – a bigger better gun, rounds of ammo, seeds, a 2 year supply of food for my family and a Berkey water purifier with 4 extra filters. The last step is the bio masks (not cheap at $200.00 per mask). I plan on surviving, at least a little longer than the stupid sheep who will deny all of this is happening until they are dead! I have a safe location and a plan.

Ok lets be realistic here there is no way an American ship will be sunk this article is filled with exaggeration. I agree it would be stupid to try and attack Iran but to think that we would lose an American naval ship is highly unlikely. That is bull s--- and shouldn’t not be put in the article because it ruins the credibility of this author. Plus this article is riddled with errors. Saying invasion and then talking about air strikes. Those are not the same thing. It should say flight missions or something. But I guess thats spliting hairs. I like there style of not taking any crap from any one. What the OWNERS of this world need to know is this. They are dealing with brainwashed citizens. Once it all breaks down, they will dealing with the other side of humanity. At our core we are wild animals. If I begin to starve, my heirarchy of priorities, and my sense of morality will change, and as this happens the brainwashing will fall apart, because the key to our brainwashing is that we wish to rationalize away the tyranny by saying that we still have a neat place to live with food in the fridge. People who can’t buy food won’t pay the electric bill, and all our toys will not work anymore. We will be riding around on bikes, walking around looking for the people who have food. We will plant gardens, start using solar generators, and arming ourselves with the guns of the fallen enemy. My question is WHO will take over North America? Russia? China? Israel? This rich luscious land is PRIME real estate. Who could resist such a grab?
On another note, I saw somewhere a set of military scenarios that were played out, and in each one, our entire gulf fleet will be sunk. China has invisible subs, and Russia has invisible long range missiles. We do not have a chance in hell of winning this conflict. The OWNERS know this. I am suggesting that just as soon as we attack Iran, ALL promises and treaties, and rule of law will be gone from this country. We will be scapegoated just as Germany was scapegoated, and no one will understand why, not truly knowing history? I think that deep down at the root of it, there are talmudic pharisees, whose elitist/murderous tricks go unchallenged. Whom, by way of money manipulation, created a nearly indefinable slavery that has spread across the globe for hundreds of years, and which is coming to it’s final logical conclusion. ….(T)urning the entire Middle East, including Israel, into a radioactive no man’s land, and causing skyrocketing radioactivity to circle the globe. All around us, particularly in places closer to the devastation like Europe, etc., people will be dying of various cancers like flies. Right now, due to depleted uranium circling the globe, it is said — which are no doubt (very?) low estimates — that one in three Americans will contract cancer sometime in their lives. Once the Middle East is much more of a radioactive wasteland, it will undoubtedly go from two out of three to virtually everyone, and almost know one, if anyone, will be spared the devastating effects of it.
And the rest of humanity the world-over will be very ill from many other immune disorders and other opportunistic illnesses caused the radiation; actually, it could accurately be said that we already are. There are now many so-called “mysterious”, “controversial” autoimmune and/or immuno-compromised “syndromes” all over the world. Well, just think, after nuclear devastation much worse than has already been inflicted on the area and the world by depleted uranium occurs, the prevalence of these immune disorders will skyrocket globally as well, to almost complete population devastation of incredibly widespread proportions.
This is the extent to which the Machiavellian, genocidal, mass-murderous globalists WANT worldwide conditions to become; and they will much more greatly realize their desire(s) for the mass extermination of most of humankind all over the planet. They are engineering and orchestrating it, and bringing it to fruition. If this situation continues to be allowed to occur, very soon almost no one will be left alive except for a few hundred million people, and most if not all of them will be extremely ill and will end up dying as well. Such is the insanity that we’re allowing a relatively few evil, educated morons to perpetrate against all of us….

What factual information supports this article, or is this just supposition on the part of the author? Heard the same doom & gloom report before the 1st U.S. invasion of Iraq. We were told Iraq had the 4th largest army in the world and would inflict heavy casualties, and that the military hadn’t performed a large operation since Vietnam and therefore would cause a multiplying effect in casualties. I’m not saying the author is wrong, but I don’t like the idea that he presents his information as fact without any supporting data.

On another note, what ever else you can say about the Israelis, they are master tacticians and we (citizens) probably won’t know anything about the whole confrontation until its over. I’m guessing they’ll model the attack after that pre-emptive strike on the Egyptians May 30, 1967. On that one pivotal move, the geopolitics of the region were changed forever and in only six days!
Not surprisingly, the United States provided the aerial reconnaissance photos of Egyptian tanks amassing on the border which precipitated the war.
So, think about history repeating itself. Think of a nuclear-armed country which believes (however wrongly) that its backed into a corner.
Think about how the Israeli defense force doesn’t play unless its got a winning hand.
I see the scenario playing out much differently than the author of this article.

What? You do not get it? It is not about Imus. It is about having a media ear NOW on the Michael Reagan/Mark Dice call for murder case. Asking if a man is a black man gets media atteniton across the country with the demand to have him removed form the airwaves, yet there is a media blackout when a call for murder is exposed. If the media wants to talk about Imus, then they need to be questioned as to why they are being silent about Mark Dice having a murder contract on him. Can you not see that?!

The Pentagon has war gamed this scenario extensively. Their scenarios has the US Navy losing around 16 ships in about 15 minutes due to Iranian speed boat swarming tactics. In their war with Iraq, the Iranians used human wave attacks against the Iraqis. They will do the same to the US Navy with speedboats loaded with explosives. The Persian Gulf and straights of Hormuz will limit the US Fleet’s maneuverability. The Iranians may even take out a US carrier as unthinkable as they may sound. If I was planning the defense of Iran, the minute enemy planes entered Iranian airspace I would immediately launch a full scale attack against the US aircraft carriers. Take out the carriers and the US planes would have nowhere to return to.

Who was the moron that said a US ship will not be sunk? Don’t you remember the 2006 war in Lebanon? An Israeli ship was nearly sunk by a small militia group. When the UK attacked the Falkland Islands a British ship nearly sunk. That invasion of the Falklands was in the ’80s. If a small militia in Lebanon and Argentina can nearly sink a British ship in the ’80s Iran definitely will sink multiple USA vessels. Iran has many missiles and won’t be afraid to use them if they are bombed.

I think this is accurate except for Sryia launching the VX gas…that’s a shore way to get nuked, and Isreal likely has nuclear missiles as well, and would not soley rely on aircraft for their nuclear arsenel. Listen, we all know that if Isreal and the US and NATO (because England and France both also have aircraft carriers and land based aircraft in the Gulf as well) go full blast, they will destroy everything in their paths. Even in Lebanon, and Syria, a full mobilization of reserves by Israel will result in adequet defense, as they are still more technologically advanced than their adversaries, and if anything, perhaps the reason that Israel and the US are likely to strike first because SURPRISE is one of the most important principle of warfare…and can make a dramatic difference. They say Iran has “escalation dominance”, but really, Israel and the US maintain the initiative at the moment. We all know, and especially the Pentagon Brass know, the best way to win this conflict is to be the attacker…and i’m not saying i agree with this war, or any of it, but, that was why they did 9/11, so they would never have to wait to be attacked, because they know they would never suffer from something like that. they now have declared that “pre-emptive measures” as far as war strategy and military interventions, is the new gosple in D.C.-and every military action since has been just that. and because of it, they do win. its sad, but militarily, both Afganistan and Iraq were total cakewalks when compared to standards like WWII or even Vietnam. Realistic predictions but it’s WAY more complicated than that. China has a 10 year oil supply deal signed with Iran, the will not accept a US attack on Iran. The radiation from nuclear blast would spread over the entire region, making a disaster that will make WW2 seem like a fairy land, it could reach Europe and Russia.
I think we have to admit that it’s impossible do predict why they would want such a war. Are the economic reasons enough (Military Industrial Complex)? The public is so dumb they could just announce their NWO tomorrow and people would celebrate like they waited for it all their life even if they had to sell their nation and culture.
If you know their NWO plan, then a war with Iran is a “unnecessary step” toward a NWO, which would just end up killing many for no political benefit. Make no mistake about it the Israelis are getting their tails kicked in Lebanon! Just like they did in May 2000, when Hezbollah sent them scurrying back across the border with their tails between their legs. The Israelis never forgot that stinging defeat and have now demanded a rematch with Hezbollah. And much to their surprise, Israel has already managed to lose the rematch too. Considering the disparity in numbers and weaponry between Israel and Hezbollah, Israel should have achieved a decisive victory by now. But they haven’t. And it doesn’t help their case any that they have had to resort to bombing the entire country, killing women and children, to try to save face. It only makes them look more pathetic. They will never be able to swagger quite so arrogantly again, or instill fear in the groveling leaders of their neighboring countries in quite the same way. The Israelis have been outfoxed at every turn by an irregular army using prehistoric weaponry, with little to no support from neighboring countries (the leaders, that is), but who have proven themselves to be unwavering in their determination. Hezbollah are fighting against the best weaponry American money can buy. And they are winning.
Because you can’t buy courage. Even with the entire United States treasury at your disposal, the things that matter most to real men simply cannot be purchased. Therefore, the poor man has the advantage over the rich man because valor, manliness, and honor are free to those with nothing to lose. The Israelis had everything to lose in this misguided operation and have proceeded to do so exceedingly well. Even among their most brainwashed sycophants, their credibility is in the single digits. The excuse of the “kidnapped” soldiers is totally bogus to anyone with an I.Q. over 70, because Hezbollah has offered to release them in exchange for a ceasefire but Israel has refused. Meanwhile, Israel has kidnapped thousands of Lebanese citizens over the years who languish in Israeli prisons to this day. And the Katyusha rocket pity party won’t work either, because the Katyusha rockets are simply in retaliation for Israeli aggression, not vice versa, and can hardly compare to the bombs being dropped on Lebanon. If they thought for one moment that they would rout out Hezbollah, they were seriously mistaken. You cannot eliminate a fighting force whose reason for existence is justified by the fact that Israel continues to occupy their land, invade their air space, and hold their people as political prisoners. Kill them all, and another generation will simply step up to the plate and take their place.
The Israelis fight like sissies from fighter jets, dropping bunker-buster bombs on defenseless women and children. That’s real manly! They roll across the border in heavily-armored tanks, confident that they’ll be impervious to Hezbollah’s weaker arsenal. Only lately, those tanks have had the surprising habit of turning into human crematoria for the Israeli soldiers inside them. So why don’t they get out of their tanks and fighter jets and go toe-to-toe with Hezbollah like real men? (See first sentence of essay). The fourth most powerful military in the world has been given a shiny black eye that no amount of make-up will ever be able to hide. The aura of invincibility they so haughtily projected is now tarnished beyond repair. Bragging rights go to Hezbollah, as Israel eats its long-overdue humble pie. Why do I feel so strongly about this, you might ask? Because Israel has made me, an American taxpayer, complicit in their war crimes, and I, for one, am glad to see them finally getting their comeuppance.
In fact, the Israelis are losing so badly that their co-religionists in the West have had to order new false flag operations to take their humiliating defeat off the front pages. It’s like that scene in the Wizard of Oz where Toto pulls back the curtain on the “Great Oz,” only to discover that he’s really a weaselly old man, pretending to be something that he’s not. Well, the curtain has been pulled back on the Zionists, and they are standing there in all their naked cowardice and cruelty, for all world to see. And the world is repulsed. Hence, the PR campaign now underway to try to remind us goyim that all Muslims are “terrorists” and that the Israelis are always the victims. So now we’re supposed to feel relieved that the Israelis are only killing “terrorists” (not human beings), and that they are only trying to make the world a safer place for all of us. Only it’s not going to work this time. I mean, how stupid do they think we are? Just when world sympathy was leaning heavily towards Lebanon and away from Israel, does any sane person really believe that Muslims would try to pull off an ill-fated stunt? Only the most credulous of FOX News watchers could fail to notice that the timing of these supposed terror plots is extraordinarily convenient.
The mainstream media is just another weapon in the Israeli armory, but this time, chinks are beginning to show. The Zionist-controlled media try their best to obfuscate the cowardice of their own kin by wrongly portraying Hezbollah as hiding behind women and children. In psychiatry (a dangerous medical specialty they invented), this is called “projection,” or the attempt to transfer your own negative traits onto another person. They know all about projection because they do it so well. But Israel cannot hide the fact that they have slaughtered more than 1,000 civilians, mostly women and children, and have destroyed almost the entire infrastructure of a modern, democratic state. Yet they cynically try to portray themselves as reluctant and contrite killers, in a grotesque attempt to blame innocent victims for their own deaths.
What did they think was going to happen when they plunked themselves down in the middle of a million Arabs, after slaughtering them to steal their land in 1948? Did they really think they would get away with it indefinitely? Obviously so, since they’ve now set out to conquer more sovereign Arab territory, fully revealing their expansionist agenda to anyone with eyes to see. Only something unexpected has happened on the way to Eretz Israel; they’ve run into a brick wall called Hezbollah, who will not relinquish their sovereignty to the Zionist land-grabbers.

Here’s the problem with your nightmare – the Russian stuff is junk, comparatively. Odds are those exocets can’t actually get to the carrier to hit it before being shot down by the automated defense systems aboard ship. Those air defense grids are completely reliant on radar that can’t see the first strike planes(F-22s) and odds are we have a classified cruise missile that can also be said of. Our own fighters can’t see the F-22 if they don’t want to be seen, so the Russian stuff is toast.
As far as underground research facilities, that’s the reason that they developed bunker busters. Even if the bunker is so far down that it escapes the blast, the entrance and exit are destroyed burying the thing forever. And don’t get me started on what will happen once the combined air-ground task forces go work. There will be a LOT more casualties, but the Iranians will be beaten and probably quite badly. The reason that we are having trouble in Iraq is because we aren’t allowed to randomly mow down whole towns – if things get bad enough that restriction will be lifted and then the streets of Persia will run red, until the cluster bombs put craters where the streets used to be.
You people don’t seem t get just how good at this Americans are. More than anything, death is our greatest skillset. So for the love of all that is Holy and Good please made as large a noise against invasion as you can and spare EVERYONE the suffering.

This article does not account for all the dominoes. It stops at oil going up, and crushing the U.S. economy. But how can we leave out the facts about russia and china? They are allied with Iran. I disagree that the military will be patrolling the streets. The men and women that make up the military have families too. Families need to eat and have shelter. Most men and women will not hang around to patrol the streets under such conditions. With 300 million citizens under an economic meltdown, Martial Law will not be effective because people will be too desperate to abide by the governments rules. Itll be anarchy at best. Keep your powder dry.
