Of course their plan is a failure! It was contrived to get private companies to take on risk so the govt can strongarm them. They constantly keep changing the rules so the privates don’t know how to play the game. The lastest TALF auction went for 1.7 billion! The entire system that the dollar is built on is a sham. Toxic assets with no value and unbacked currency that relies on the illegitimate Federal Reserve to place value on is worthless. So what are we losing if we tell these people to go directly to hell and take their paper with them?
Declare state’s rights, implement a state currency backed by your particular state’s economic benefits and prime products (coal, wheat, steel, etc.) expressed in commodities and screw ‘em.

Those “private” interests are the banks and their made up firms (I bet we won’t be able to see who’s buying into this interest, because if we could it would show that its the same banks). They are trying to find ways to get the toxic assets worth 80 cents or more on the dollar. Even though everyone and there mother knows they are at best worth 20 cents on the dollar. That auction went badly and we are still trying to get people to take our money and our debt. They will never get anybody outside and inside of the US to buy this junk and our bonds now (since we tied our treasuries to the toxic assets), because its akin to going back to the mark after the con has been done to them and doing it all over again, it won’t work. Nobody wants them and all they are doing with the help of the Fed is playing make believe high finance hopeing that somebody will get fooled, and the govt. is wasting its energy in this venture because they can’t have this imploding without something to fill it’s place.

Agreed. I’m going to my tax party next week in Denver and I think it is important to stay on topic. I am considering coming in professional attire to deliberately not look like a dumbass protester. I am a hard-working, tax paying professional in the financial industry. I figure this is an oppty to make my voice heard so I want to make sure my sign says exactly what I want it to, that I articulate my thoughts intellegently and hope I can get a few seconds of a sound bite in my local news.

Just go back and review the video or transcript of the Bill Moyers interview of Economist William Black. Why should anything like this come as a big surprise when Black readily points out the entire system was GAMED to fail. Pretty much follow the logic and the bucks and you will see how this was ENGINEERED.
If President Obama wants the American people to have faith and trust in the financial system, he should sit down with Summers and Geithner and watch that interview again. STEALING IS STEALING. When it is done with the complicity of Treasury and The Federal Reserve while few gain and many suffer, it is the height of arrogance and indifference to a sound public policy. Put Summers and Geithner in a FEMA camp. After all, they were part of creating a Federal Emergency by playing see no evil.

Most people won’t figure out how these accountants have been INVOKED to offset the books. I suppose people would view it diffently if the taxpayer was also the obtainer of wealth (aka creditor). Sounds like people need to do a little reading regarding the theory behind the Public-Private Partnership Fund. Although used currently as an aid to struggling businesses, who said the taxpayer can’t obtain need fundage using the mechanisms to acquire it? Interesting people haven’t figured this one out yet…
You do happen to be swimming in the same pool with these sharks!! You can either pay for someone to save you, or learn how to save yourself.

Poor taxpayers. They play you like a well-tuned fiddle. You sweat all year to support the billionaires and the bums.
I’m an independent contractor and haven’t filed in years. Since everything I own is paid for (ie, I’m not a mindless consumer) I only need to work about 70 days a year to support myself and the wife out here in rural paradise.
Remember, taxpayers, they only screw you if you let them. There are only a few million of THe enEMy. A large scale revolt would scare them silly.
