Something similar is happening over Iran: the same syncopation of government and media “revelations”, the same manufacture of a sense of crisis. “Showdown looms with Iran over secret nuclear plant”, declared the Guardian on 26 September. “Showdown” is the theme. High noon. The clock ticking. Good versus evil. Add a smooth new US president who has “put paid to the Bush years”. An immediate echo is the notorious Guardian front page of 22 May 2007: “Iran’s secret plan for summer offensive to force US out of Iraq”. Based on unsubstantiated claims by the Pentagon, the writer Simon Tisdall presented as fact an Iranian “plan” to wage war on, and defeat, US forces in Iraq by September of that year – a demonstrable falsehood for which there has been no retraction.
The official jargon for this kind of propaganda is “psy-ops”, the military term for psychological operations. In the Pentagon and Whitehall, it has become a critical component of a diplomatic and military campaign to blockade, isolate and weaken Iran by hyping its “nuclear threat”: a phrase now used incessantly by Barack Obama and Gordon Brown, and parroted by the BBC and other broadcasters as objective news. And it is fake.

You can’t place the American people’s problems on just the military. Its on all of us. We should raise awareness of those who are criminal. Sure, there may be a few hard headed soldiers but they are trained to follow orders more than the constitution and they might view life differently after seeing aswell as taking so many from others. With enough awareness the American people will be informed enough to protect this free nation and independent man.

The majority of us are very honorable. We understand the constituional crisis are country is in. We know there are hard choices coming for every American. However people with your attitude of prejudgement WILL shoot at US military personnel and what do you think will happen then? If I am put on the street for martial law then I will enforce LAW. However if you shoot at me, then like any true American I would shoot you down and rightfully so. Stop preaching unjustified violence, stop media propaganda. Dear Fellow Americans,
I am speaking directly from the White House on an urgent matter just brought to my attention by the Joint Chief of Staff and the director of the Central Intelligence Agency. At precisely 10:00am Eastern time one of our battle ships on surveillance in the Persian Gulf received a direct hit by an Iranian missile fired from deep within the Iranian territory. I have received detailed information that all men on board have perished as the ship set on blazed by the missile immediately sank in freezing waters. I have called for an emergency meeting of my closes military advisers and within a few hours after consultations any collective decision will be one of defensive nature.
I will immediately implement an executive order authorizing a naval blockaded of Iran and we will monitor the situation as developments come in. I have also authorized an immediate mobilization of our land forces stationed in Iraq and our naval armada in the Persian Gulf to assist in any rescue efforts as necessary and if fired upon to fire back.
I have just received incoming information that the State of Israel has commenced an air bombardment within Iranian air space and are currently dropping mini nukes on a mountainous area deep within the country. We will keep you inform as developments arise.
Fellow Americans there are some dark days ahead of us and I have taken the liberty to suspend all civil liberties for the next 24 hours in addition I will impose martial law for the protection and security of our fellow citizens. Please stay tune as news develops in these critical times of ours.
