In this context, think of the city as Mike Bloomberg, who just bought his third term as mayor despite New Yorkers voted twice to limit local elected officials to two terms. Term limits were extended by Bloomberg with a good twist of the arms of the City Council and pushed through. So much for the will of the people.
Yet, in the case of NYC CAN, I can readily see why this should be a can of worms for many of the participants in 9/11 still lurking in the city shadows, not to mention in several Middle Eastern countries, including Israel, who all call themselves our friends. With friends like these who needs enemies. That said, NYC CAN filed a 621-page Bill of Particulars on August 27 in response to a summary judgment that was to be made by September 21.
This was in response to an earlier letter from the City Clerk dated July 24, 2009, the city claiming that only 26,003 signatures were valid ergo they were short 3,997 short of the requisite 30,000 signatures to qualify for a ballot referendum. The main reason for disqualifying ballots turned out to be somewhat shady: some having proper addresses counted more than authentic signatures, even if the owners of those signatures may have moved.
This was accentuated when Dennis McMahon, counsel to the petitioners, pointed out, “The City has an incredibly successful record of shooting down ballot initiatives; we will be arguing from a fresh perspective that reflects the unprecedented events of 9/11. We believe the courts will see how critical an issue this is, and be persuaded with our legal reasoning and point of view.”
As a result, there was an immense effort put forth by 50-plus volunteers who gave more than 1,000 hours over a two-week period, from August 10 to August 25, to identify those 7,166 signatures it contended in fact were valid. NYC CAN submitted another 28,000 signatures on September 4 to guarantee that the referendum will go on the ballot if they win the case, bringing the total number of signatures to 80,000.
Representatives for NYC CAN, 9/11 family member Manny Badillo and Executive Director Ted Walter arrived at the Board of Elections on the morning of Wednesday, September 9, to assist the court-appointed referee in beginning a line-by-line review of disputed signatures. This only to hear that the referee’s review had been called off due to a last minute concession by the city. As Mr. Badillo reported, “The city conceded we have 30,000 valid signatures. Big victory.”

Alex we are going viral with the truth everyhwere…At least myself I cannot be restrained. How can we measure the success of awaking the American people and the world? If the outcome is boling down to a fiercely contested revolution, who is going to keep an eye on those from the outside that are hungry to invade our country. How can we safeguard against an international attack while we are in the middle of a revolution. We should aim more info to our military and our police so we know well hwere they stand in case all hell braks lose. Lawmakers, senators and some magisntrates do not give ear to our words. They have betrayed our trust and we cannot depend on them. Beacuse no one is above the law, we the people can only fight defensively. I urge you to find some reliable sources that can lead some light on this important issue. We know that if the American people fall it will be by their own sins, but we need to ensure the survival of our kind one way or another. Why don’t we organize or reorganize an Independent American Party to raise a better standard for the people. I know there will be many dissenters that will want a respectable constitutional government when fallacy falls by its own wight.
I cannot see this administration going anyfurther. There will be a coup either agaisnt the people by the concurrent administration or by the military against the government. The only ones with moral authority to defend the constitution are the swonr military in high places. I know some of them can take unilateral actions like it did happen in Honduras even though some abuse and chaos are unavoidable. These are only my thoughts.

Most of us just want answers about the gross neglect within the government. #000 + people died on 9/11/2001 and we have been at war over 8 years because of lies from our government.
Giving you the benefit of the doubt,what would be wrong for us to find out why an enemy was able to kill 100 + Americans working in the most secure building in the world?
Even if the “INSIDE JOB” folks are wrong,wouldn’t you still want to know just who profited off this crime. Don’t you want to know why the anti-aircraft weapons and ground to air missles at the pentagon were not manned ?
Are you against questions?Are you for American troops getting killed on a daily basis while they occupy a country that did not aggress against us? Leaving politics out of it; don’t you want to know how three buildings collapsed after being exposed to bar-b-que starter fluid? All of our insurance rates are affected by what happened on that day.
Even if it was not an “Inside Job” Soime people are still responsible for negligently letting it hapen. Why were we “geared up” for invading Iraq and Afghanistn on the day that it happened?

Speaking of answers. Back when I worked for the Red Cross this guy by the name of david got hired a short time after me. Every time I would show up he would mysteriously show up . Everytime I got near him he would clear his throat and literally growl. He pretended he was deaf so that he would yell when he talked to you. I had to train him which required me to ride in the same van for several hours. He had a cooler with him and I don’t know what he had in it but by the time I got back i was extremely sick, dizzy and nauseous. I knew he was there to get me fired but I still wonder, what was in the cooler?
