‘I’m as Mad as Hell, and I’m Not Gonna Take This Anymore!’ This sentiment is being voiced by protesters turning out for Tea Parties and Health Care Town Hall Meetings around the country. People are angry and frightened by the prospect of government running their health care system, but their anger goes far beyond a 1000 page health bill.
Health care reform is merely the spark that has touched off a prairie fire of grassroots rebellion among a people who believe their representatives do not represent them, do not listen to them and do not care what they think. Many Americans feel that they are losing control of their financial well being, their values and their culture. Shell shock set in as they tried to absorb the rapidity of drastic change.
The first stirring of protest came with the Tea Parties in the spring. These gatherings were completely misread by a media that ignored them and dismissed the attendees as right wing kooks. The Tea Parties were about taxes, yes. But far more they were about the rapid intrusion of the federal government into private affairs, about deficit spending, and a growing understanding that America was heading down a very dangerous road.
People see a government in Washington that is in the process of destroying the constitutional principles of limited government and maximum personal freedom that made America the freest and most prosperous country the world has ever known.
James Madison, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson must be turning over in their graves at what is being done to the Republic they founded. At the close of Constitutional Convention in 1787, Benjamin Franklin said we gave you “a republic if you can keep it.” At the moment, keeping it does not look promising.
Our founding fathers had an incredible understanding of human nature, and of the natural tendency of governments to become oppressive. They gave us a unique Constitution that attempted to limit the power of government and ensure the rights of individuals. In 1798 Thomas Jefferson wrote, “In questions of power, then let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”

I agree partially. The unemployment and healthcare issues are affecting real people, it’s not just scenery. Friends’ parents are dying of alzheimer’s from the aluminum in the CTs. Who out there would dare agree to talk about the surrendering of our god given freedoms as Human Beings….who would dare to talk as if the Constitution has no bearing…that it is an out dated document….the right’s of Man, and the limits of power are clearly outlined-enumerated in the Constitution…but it goes without saying and the concept is beyond that piece of paper, we must recognize the hierarchy of our world…which is God..then the People, then the “servants”..public that is– along with the Government/Corporation(s)…. Freedom for every Man, Women, and Child on the face of this earth. the constructs of our world need to reversed and redrawn to a new understanding of capitalism and the benefit of national sovereignty…as each nation is in effect an corporation a company…and in a free market society..these nations can function in competition with each other and able to merge as respective nations for the benefit of its People and for the sake of survival in this competitive world…..but the idea of a one world government….???….would that not be a monopoly?……exactly what the people would not want….without competition…well you’re left with tyranny…do we not own our bodies..ourselves…free to do as we please…if only Nations/Governments would get the concept of success by the way the treat their People, their Citizens/employees just like a company…sometimes a company gets the best and brightest for the way it treats its People…another very important aspect in the operation of a business…a so called benefit…but really the unequivocal realization of the rights of Man and the limits of power it has, in respect to the overall pursuit of “national” corporate success….so which nation recognized these rights and succeeded and after chewing away at its own order to limit its powers’ has slowly started to break apart at the seams? 100 infowarrior points for the correct answer.

Strikes hurt the general public.
Say several medical professionals have no car and live an hour bike ride from work take the train to work every day and there is a strike in which the train operators don’t show up and the taxi cabs contractors don’t report.
That same day an expecting mother goes into labor and there is a shortage of medical professionals to see her all because of a strike.
