The United Nations: Our Children’s New Parents?

Through its various agencies and treaties, the United Nations seeks to undermine individual, as well as national sovereignty. It has been almost 15 years since President Clinton signed on to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The U.S. remains one of the last holdouts as the treaty lies dormant, yet to be ratified. The UNCRC grants children new civil, social, cultural and economic rights that could override parental decisions. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), is pushing for a vote as there is a real sense that under an Obama presidency, the UNCRC could finally be ratified.

If the UNCRC is ratified, parents could be prohibited from homeschooling and spanking their children. It undermines parental authority and gives more power to the state to further dictate how children are raised. It grants children dangerous new rights thus encouraging more rebellious behavior. The truth is that in many cases, children do not have the wisdom and maturity to make sound decisions. The treaty also gives children the mechanism by which they could dispute any parental judgment. The UNCRC transfers more parental authority to the state while granting children radical new rights.
Under the UNCRC, an 18-member committee has been established to review children’s rights and any other disputes that might arise. In many cases, we are already bound by international treaties and the UNCRC gives unaccountable UN bureaucrats the power to make decisions concerning our children’s well-being. Parents are being demoted to simple caregivers, while the state assumes the role of the prime authoritative figure. The UNCRC is an assault on parental authority and is essentially a blank check for governmental interference in family matters. It is meant to further promote child autonomy and freedom from parental guidance.
In the U.S., homeschooling numbers continue to rise as a growing number of parents look to better control their child’s moral instruction. Under the UNCRC, homeschooling could be interpreted as a violation of a child’s well being. Some states have tried to ban and outlaw homeschooling and the UNCRC could make it a UN-sponsored activity. Public school education is designed to correct any perceived errors in rearing and home training. The ideology of globalism and world government is at the very core of the educational system. The UN seeks to undermine parental authority, traditional values and biblical principles. They wish to gain more control over our children’s upbringing and education.

Being a parent is a huge responsibility and undertaking that should not be taken lightly. Parents are not always right and some may be unfit. The reality is that children thrive in an environment where there is love and structure which includes consequences for their behavior. The UNCRC infringes upon parental authority and represents a massive intrusion by the state into family affairs. It has the potential to radically alter parent-child relationships. The UN definitely has no business telling parents how to raise their children and neither does the government unless there is evidence of neglect or abuse. The UN is a morally bankrupt institution with a horrible record of protecting human rights around the world and the U.S ratifying the UNCRC will not change that.

This has been going on for decades. Most people don’t know their greatgrand parents or even grandparents. The high divorse rate also broke the family down and some don’t keep in touch with one or both parents. They told us that racial pride was a bad thing so people gave up on their heritage and culture. When a person has no past they are that much easier to control because people will reach out for a sense of belonging to something or someone. In steps the nanny state. But its for your own good because you forgot how to take care of yourself or stand on your own to feet. Most people need a crutch to get them through the day. Be it drugs/alcohol, religion, work, music, tv, whatever, some form of a distraction and comfort. The un says it will offer hope and inner peace, but thats a lie, just like everything mainstream is a lie.

I hesitate to reply but I am going to.
Would it not be a better view to look at yer children’s lives as being a gift or treating it as ’sacred’ ? To me, it seems that to “wish” they were never brought into this existence…is always going to lead you to that starting point of though for a conclusion.
In other words, if a situation arises in yer life and troubles & hardships begin, you may get drawn into a line of thinking where you repeat the thought of wishing they were never born and that would have solved alot of problems.
Im sure you love and want the best for yer children in this life. Because of this, you believe it best they were not born because some things may seem unobtainable. True; money and the ability to have ceratin posessions in life can make life easier, but the “rich” and “selfsih” of this World may be missing what you and yer children have.

For me ( not you ), two points drew my attention to Robert’s comments. One being he commented on that he is a loser. Two, he stating that he wished his kids were never born.
Yes, persons can look around at the conditions & circumstances of and within their personal lives and think ‘if only I would have done that or only if I would have done this, then this or that would not have resulted’. Some bad results may be because of the acts of oneself, or they can be the results of the actions of another. Nothing new under the sun here of course.
But, especially in the conditions of life today and the events unfolding before all of us, in some form..it is my opinion that Life is an expereince..a journey in which we learn to develop to our most productive individual selves.
There is no booklet or template that we are given when we are brought into ths World and existence. We have no way of knowing detailed events that await all of us. The same goes for Robert..and to them conclude it his wish that the children should not be born…that they were a mistake… is to keep beating his head against a wall and blaming himself for all the negativity in his and his children’s lives.
Getting caught up in the US Family Court System ( especially for fathers ) has been a notorius matter for a very long time. For many, it can be a completely life-changing event in Life and for the kids too. With today’s economic bleakness and joblessness, one can easly get behind the 8-Ball and never recover.

God didn’t instruct you to be fruitful and multiply to the detriment of your fellow men and women, Phil. I’m sure your kids are wonderful and that you love them very much. I wouldn’t want you to “un-make” them, by any means. You just need to look at the entire picture here. Unless you adopted those children and removed them from a bad situation of some sort, you have contributed to a massive global problem. You don’t make babies of your own when there are so many out there that need your help who already exist. Does that make sense?
You seem to believe in God. So, I just want to get your mind to thinking in a Godly way. That always involves humanity as a whole. Not just you as an individual.
The main message of the bible is: selfishness = evil
There is not one single evil act that cannot be described as selfish.
Loving the neighbor as the actual self is key.

Yes there are needy kids out there who need homes, but so do adults. Just because he and his significant other produced kids doesn’t mean that he is selfish. However, if he and his significant other produced the kids and abandoned them, then he has contributed to a massive global problem.
And that is false as well, if every country would just do right. Then, there would be no such thing as a massive global problem of whatever you are referring to. Now does that make sense?

I have recently given this alot of thought.
I think that people should be having as many children as possible; huge families of 5 or more children. My reasoning for this is that we have been led to believ that 1 child is enough by the very people that want to practice eugenics on us. I say have as many as possible and train them to fight against those scumbags who would hold their boot on our necks.

I don’t have a kid of my own, but I have changed plenty of diapers. I have never been married. I think a life long cool girlfriend that I could raise a rug rat with, but this time my own rug rat. Not some pice of s--- who didn’t stick around to see how wonderful kid can be. It seems that most of the single women I see have kid/kids. The ones without kids are mostly gay or they have a boy friend. Crazy f---ing world. I am glad that I don’t have kids at this time of my life though. So many friends and folks I know have morgages, kids,car payments, Bills. Some of them have lost their jobs and are freaking out.

I have read some post here demonizing people who don’t want kids and others who demonize people who have kids. People who have kids don’t want to here they are stupid for haveing them and vise-versa from people who have not had kids. I have helped in raising kids and it is hard not to get attatched. My father died when I was 6 so my mother raised me, with the help of family and friends. In short it takes a village to raise a child. I hope everyone can know what joy that can be found by being that village. Power to the peaceful/people!!!

I homeschool so I will be very disgusted if anything like this happens, however, if it ever did, well, I would just make sure my kiddo understood that they were lying to him and provide him REAL history and information at home…
As far as financial “rights”, well, they already do this with divorced parents who pay not for basic needs of children, but for extra curricular activities, IPODs, vacations, etc…because they COURTS mandate that the child is ENTITLED to these things, whether the parent can pay or not, whether the parent WANTS to spoil their child or not…the COURTS decide this today…
