In all fairness, we can’t really call Obama’s proposed national service plan a new draft. First, he’s not talking about requiring young people to do military service. Second, we are getting decidedly mixed signals as to whether the service will be compulsory. At first, the word "required" was used freely; now we see much talk of tax credits, less talk of requirement.
Nevertheless, this new program certainly feels like the next step toward a new draft. Just as Ike’s planners made sure that the national highway system could see usage as a military transport system, Obama’s civilian service corps could make mustering a draft army much, much easier.
After all, this is the guy who said (vis-a-vis the establishment of ROTC programs on all college campuses):
I think it’s important for the president to say, this is an important obligation. If we are going into war, then all of us go, not just some.

You probably already know this quote, from a speech he gave in Colorado Springs:
"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
God only knows where the money is to come from.
Obama now seems to have drawn this big idea from his secret buddy Rahm Emanuel, that noted rust-proofer of brakes, who wrote the following in a 2006 book ominously called The Plan:
It’s time for a real Patriot Act that brings out the patriot in all of us. We propose universal civilian service for every young American. Under this plan, All Americans between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service. …
Here’s how it would work. Young people will know that between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five, the nation will enlist them for three months of civilian service. They’ll be asked to report for three months of basic civil defense training in their state or community, where they will learn what to do in the event of biochemical, nuclear or conventional attack; how to assist others in an evacuation; how to respond when a levee breaks or we’re hit by a natural disaster. These young people will be available to address their communities’ most pressing needs.
Wittily, Emanuel adds: "This is not a draft." This puckish reference goes, of course, to Magritte: "Ceci n’est pas une pipe."
I always get a little worried — more than a little, truth be told — when politicians insist that our post-Apocalypse clean-up crew is insufficiently staffed. That sort of talk makes me wonder what they’re up to. Especially when we think back to the ominous words of one Joseph Biden:
"It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking… Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

I dont understand what the problem with this would be ? Why wouldn’t you want the training to help your community in a time of crisis. I know i’d be the first to sign up I mean free survival training and the ability to help those i love and care about survive a serious tradegy. I don’t see the negative in this. I mean it’s three months … How long is that really? I would like to add that i hope this does become mandadatory otherwise all the lazy teens and college kid slackers would never enroll. This Idea is a great one and makes perfect sense when you look at it with out fear.

Why not have the teachings in High School?
Because they cannot fight is why.
I don’t see how a college student is going to be able to work 2 jobs, make passing grades, and serve their draft time…
Then it comes to re-imbursement for their time…. Standard government pay if any at all will be low.

I also personally think that they are gonna use this to wipe out the youth, they’ll get us gathered at one place and release some sort of biochemical weapon, or maybe they’ll just machine gun us down. Call me paranoid, but I would not put it passed these devils.
Either way I’m not giving in to this garbage. I say we do need training, so train yourself, exercise and eat “healthy” if it’s possible. Exercise your mind and MOST importantly exercise your spirit, get close to OUR HEAVENLY FATHER!!! Seek the Holy One!!!

Our kids aren’t the property of the US government. Compulsorily mandatory service is just a euphemism for slavery. He wants children and adults up to age 42 to serve for three months. This government isn’t forcing me to serve. If I want to help my community I will volunteer my services if I feel it necessary. Last time I checked, we had the police and national guard to help the community in times of need.

You’ve got to pick your battlefield and fight. Information warfare is the responsibility of us all. We must spread the truth and warn everyone of what’s to come. Sure not many care now, but at least when their own personal line is crossed by the government they will remember everything you said.
The next best thing is to try to live self-sufficiently. Grow a garden for starters and go from there. Take whatever your hobby is and try to expand on it. Like woodworking, metal working, machining, electronics. CNC, open source IT. Get friends involved and collaborate. That is the LAST thing this cabal of power-whores wants is for us to start doing things on our own, independent of them.
If we can prove a viable and better alternative people’s self-interest will bring them into our fold.

My daughter is already REQUIRED to do 10 hours of “service” per year to graduate from high school. My daughter is already involved in service through her church and family organizations, yet the high school will not count any of these hours toward her graduation requirement. She tried to volunteer for a local animal hospital, but they said no to that too because it is for profit. Instead they suggested the nearest human society which is a 30 mile round trip from my house. I don’t see how serving a for profit small business doesn’t contribute to my local community, plus my daughter would learn something about her potential career opportunities. It’s ironic that the first black president would be proposing the return of slavery in America!!!

i guess we will find out how voluntary this program is…. when people start “failing to appear” for their community service work shifts.
Will there be a mechanism of enforcement or punishment for somebody who “slept in” or whatever excuse they give for missing a “volunteer shift”?
It’s not voluntary if there will be sanctions of any kind against an absent volunteer.
Guess the answer to that question is in the fine print somewhere…. time will tell.

#3 Louis, don’t be fooled by this. Of course on the surface this is a good idea. You must however think ahead. The type of training they wish to provide you will work in case of emergencies. In the long run this same training can be used or expanded upon to enlist these same people to spy on their neighbors and to assist the real police when it comes time to put the dissenters in concentration camps. What better way to detect who is with or against you then to have the communities police themselves in this manner? This is why we don’t like this idea. It is servitude dressed as upliftment of your community. Didn’t Hitler employ similar tactics? His ideas were good on the surface, but when placed into action people saw quickly just how horrible they really were. Instead of killing a bunch of jews this time they will round up and potentially kill a bunch of muslims and all others who do not bend to their will.

The facts? The facts are, multitudes of witnesses heard saw and breathed the drilling that CDI was doing two weeks prior to install the thermate, the thermate its self is all over the place, witnesses saw the thermate detonating and popping out floors as the witnesses, including the firemen said, the evidence is in the steel beams cut to pefect 30 foot lengths as CDI inc. bragged they could do to accomaodate the trucks and at sharp angles to facilitate the demolition.

Of course, there was no airliner that hit the pentagon, but a flyover while the bunkerbuster went in and no plane in Pennsulvania and the planes wern’t decommisioned till just a year or two ago, they used military aircraft as ALL the witnesses testafied.

The government has covered up. The government has knowingly used these lies and cover-ups to implement tyrannical measures against their own people. And this government has pushed it people into a fake democratic DICTATORSHIP where our fascist government thugs routinely break all sorts of laws from corruption, to abuse, to even tourture, and murder, while they simultaneously rain down the harshest of penalties for any of it’s people who violate the simplest or most redicuolous laws on the books. Hell, they even punish people dispte the fact that that the individual has broken no laws at all. (I.e. vaccines and taxes)
The story posted here goes well with the fact that our tyannical government now wants to send every 18 to 25 year old in our coiuntry (well, exept the ones who can afford the tax penalties, or the fines, or the fees, or the cost of whatever it is that gets you out of “service to your government”) to boot camp. They teach our kids that government is good. That government is GOD. Government can do no wrong, and government is always right even if it breaks it’s own laws in governing over it’s people.
Last weekend, right here in Austin Texas, FORCED BLOOD WITHDRAWALS for invoking your 5th amendment RIGHTS to refuse a breathalizer test, and it’s justified by simply touting the montra, “to get drunks off the streets.” Now, they want to send our children to indoctrination camps (yes, I remember my boot camp experience), and teach them how to control and manipulate the populous in the event of a national disaster. Then, they can form a group that is, “just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded,” as our military, to “help” us in our time of need.
AND ALL YOU CAN THINK ABOUT IS THAT THERE WERE NO PLANES USED ON 9/11!!!

Based on 2006 U.S. population, 72.7 of U.S. is of voting age. If there was a 65% voter turnout with the U.S. being 80% white, 20% all others. It’s so sick. I’m one of a few people that I know in my age group (I’m 20) who understand this illuminati s---. It’s so frustrating seeing your entire campus enraged with this Obama fury. If you say anything for example: “hey guys, you should check this out maybe we should look at this it could be something we don’t want.” their response: “hahah, ok communist…you’re a conspirator”.
The brainwashing that’s been done is, in my opinion, irreversible at this point. Maybe once the major fighting starts it will open peoples eyes…but that’s doubtful. Our country is so divided…instead of seeing arab people as exactly that: people, young people (in general) call them towel heads and other bulls---. It sucks that my friends in the military will be brainwashed to attack me for speaking out peacefully.
The only way out is to spread this info and hope for the best while also boycotting 2 party politics, media, gas etc.

I really try not to be biased and attempt at all times to treat others the way I’d like to be treated, but when it comes to neocon zionist jews, I cannnot help but to observe they run the show and appear to be absolutely deceptive and evil, hence the US biased favoritism of Israel…Obama has already pledged $40 Billion to Isreal’s defense, and he isn’t even in the white house, yet! Who owns and controls the illegal federal reserve bank that charges interest on monoploy money printed out of thin air and backed by nothing? Who controls Congress? Who owns wallstreet? Who finances wars by decption? Etc. Etc. Etc. In every major case the answers are: neocon zionist jews! Number 106. Hello Seamis, If you were born in this country, and if you have a Social Security number, then you are in fact property of the United States of America. The Republic died long before it ever got started, it was changed to a Democracy. The United States of America is a corporation which is incorporated in the District of Columbia, which I guess you could say is a country, inside this country. You see, we are, and have always been property of the State. You can give up your National (USA) citizenship, and become a citizen of the state you live in. You will however be giving up all of your Social Security benefits, and the right to vote, but you will be free of the Government of the U.S.A ., maybe. I have friends which have gone through the process, and I am not sure exactly how to do it. But it can be done. Keep in mind, you will appear brightly on our wonderful Governments radar.

I don’t know but, why does Alex keep refering to obama bin bundy as “good looking?” I find that statement disconcerting, that dude looks like an accident, something about its lips, just, freaky.

SOLARNYC, I am not positive what you are alluding to, but I believe you may be refering to some of the epigrams I am paraphrasing.
Personally, It makes none if you don’t like them, I have extensively studied all the fouders and other free thinkers, who have learned from history and have themselves made great contributins and sacrifices in order that we “should not” have to suffer the tyranny we are now subject to.
Well, imitation IS the greatest form of flattery and it sadddens and sickens me that no one today takes inspiration from those intrepid men and the Holy Bible as men and women did from the past which served to greatly increase their intelligence level, as opposed to the dilemma we are faced with today, that is, our repugnant indoctrination center are employing revisioninst materials at the behest and instructionm from the maggot rockerfeller, the result being, our young people are not only not inspired by thier greatness of mind, speech and contributiuons, but the are now being daily idoctrinated with marxism, it is all over their text books.
Sop, we have what we have today, youung skulls full of mush who are dim bulbs, can’t think for themselves, are inspired by the inherant evils of communism not being taught the evils those sytems have perpetrated on humanity as human experiance hath shewn, they are unable to think critically, have no identity with our founders or the former greatness of our country and thus are easily succeptable to degenerate suggestion by our greatest enemies, the foremost of which is now fixen to defile our once hallowed White house.
For real, our youth are so dumbed down with altruist/egalitarianism that they don’t have enough respect for themselves to capitalize their own names and use upper case I when refering to themselves…they, and possibly you, do not understand the primacy of the individual and the intrinsic value of national pride and sovereignty and the purpose for which we should be at all costs, defending the great jewel that was our liberty.
I am not sorry for trying to preserve the magnanimous words of our intrepid founders and other great men, such as General Patton, who, had we heed his war plans and observations, along with McCarthy, wouold not be in the perilous dilemma we now suffer.
I am teaching my son thier great words and invite everyone else to do same so that we can preserve our great heritage and so that the memory and contributions of our founders are never lost, especially today, when our children are daily subjected to a literal cesspool of revisionist history and communist propoganda, we are all they have to enlighten them and preserve true history. It is our moral duty, our imperative to judge them, tha is…to teach them.

They want universal service form high schoolers and middle school, too… 50 hours apiece. And “arrangements will be made for these over 55.”
The 3 months for those 18-25 is for military training. CIVILIAN Military training. We already have a National Guard, and some organized Militias… Although they will likely be the first to be targeted.
Israel has universal military service yes. But they are under constant assault from a lot of people who want them EXTERMINATED. Oh, Gee. Ahmadinajad. Osama. Putin. Chavez. Are joining forces. And campaigned for the Messiah. Those contibuitions fron Hamas. That radioactive ship from Iran via China that the Somali Pirates hijacked and are still in possession of. The Civilian Military will not be used overseas. Study your history, like Germany, Italy, Russia in the 1930’s . We just had an anniversary of Kristallnacht. This Military will be used against true Patriots. The Constitution? Has been getting trashed for decades. Look at the total gun bans in DC and Chicago. And DC is getting away with thumbing it’s nose at the Supreme Court. Yeah. The Supreme Court that up held fraudulent voter registrations in Ohio. Where in the Constitution does it say that the Feds have any business in the mortgage Market? (Fannie and Freddie) That says they can just take $700,000,000.00 to bail put private industry? That they can force banks to make loans to people who don’t even have jobs? That they can forcibly buy into privete companies? They are going after freedom of speech really hard. Trying to force the silencing of any opposition, or punish them if they do… look what happened to Joe the plumber. the guy that got arrested for wearing a McCain t shirt. What do you think he will do during his Universal Service? It wasn’t even required by all of the Fascists in the 1930’s. What did the kids do in germany, Italy, Russia? Roamed the streets, beating people, killing people, Burning hoses and businesses. Informing the Reich on anyone ”troublesome” like perhaps having the wrong religion? The wrong heritage?
