“We’ve got a much more open border there, and we’ve got a real intense personal and commercial relationship,” said Idaho Rep. George Eskridge, R-Dover, whose district borders Canada in Boundary County. “We’re trying to decide what to do with the Canadian border based on what we do with the Mexican border. I think that’s wrong, because we’ve got different problems.”
About 500 officials, experts and business people from the U.S. and Canada gathered for the annual meeting of the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region to discuss cross-border economic issues, including energy, agriculture and economic development. There was lots of talk about the impact of border policy changes in the U.S. since the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Jim, “waisting” is a perfectly fine word – in the sense that a “tighter border” is kinda like drawing a belt around our waists a little too tight for comfort! (while they’re at it, maybe they’re putting a rope around our necks, too)…With all the talk now going around about the upcoming, pre-planned, damm-the-facts, it must proceed no matter what “swine flu pandemic” we have to wonder out loud how much of an effect this “pandemic” is going to have on cross-border economic activity, or, if the “pandemic” will need to be put on hold, or “pause”, (or the belt loosened just a notch instead of tightened) because it will kinda wreck ANY chances of an “economic recovery” that is – we are being assured – “just around the corner”(!) What’s the message here to us consumers – “spend like there is going to be no tomorrow, because there won’t be??? Let’s see here (we’re just musing) how will a “Pandemic” affect “consumer sentiment” about the economy?

The news we get down here in So Cal is that they are going to start searching vehicles entering Messico and that the average inspection will take about 8 seconds and that that will cause a 45 minute delay in crossing into the turd world. So be it. I say take a half friggin’ hour searching each vehicle so it will become crystal clear that the weapons used by the drug lords are not coming from gun show patrons and are undoubtably coming from European arms dealers and the US government itself.
Anyone stupid enough to go to Messico needs to sit in a long line and think about there decision to do so.

While on a trip to Niagara Falls my Wife and I were told by Border Patrol that the new laws were td to protect our Country from terrorist, I laughed and said “You got to be joking! if thats the reason then why aren’t our borders being secured? If americans believe that they deserve to ruled by a Tyrant.” next he asked for some ID then proceeded to ask a million questions such as do I own any weapons, am I part of a movement to overthrow the US government, then he stated he seen that I had explosives training while serving in the military…..which I stated my training with explosive was to defend my Country against all enemies foreign or domestic and that was honorably discharged and then served 10 yrs in the National Guard, was then asked if I was aware if there were any warrants out for my arrest, which I stated, absolutely not I am a God fearing law abiding citizen. What blew me away was he was able to pull up my military service record in just a few minutes. I couldn’t believe how they reacted an treated us like we were criminals and had no right to be upset. Americans really need to pull their heads out of the sand and start looking at what is going on here…..this is really beginning to become a bit scary. God help us if they pull this off!

I must shamefully admit that I have a family member that is a Customs agent and we got into a huge “discussion” that left us not speaking to each other for the past year…over your exact points…
These Customs agents have been “brainwashed” into believing they are the “first line of our National Defense” and therefore their power is “ABSOLUTE”…as my family member stated…
I must admit I do understand the concept of protecting our Country and asking questions to validate a persons intentions for entering our Country…this makes sense…but the fact that they can at the “click of a mouse” know everything about a person is truly too dangerous for “peace officers” to have their fingertips… Our right to privacy is all but gone…
The “100 Mile Constitution Free Zone” is another example of this bizzare and corrupt “thinking”…Their are no exceptions in our Constitution that say that it doesn’t apply everywhere within our Borders…

Simply put . . . I support immigration reform, as long as the minorities continue to fight for free pie, at some one else’s expense. when the war between minorities is over, the real Americans, who built the country with blood, sweat and tears should dig mass graves and bulldoze what remains of their dead.
