As of today, June 1, 2009, even U.S. citizens are officially prisoners in the USA, or exiles barred from entering our own country without the government’s permission.

We are now forbidden by Federal regulations from leaving or entering the USA, anywhere, by any means — by air, by sea, or by land, to or from any other country or international waters or airspace — unless the government chooses to issue us a passport, passport card, or “enhanced” drivers license (any of which “travel documents” are now issued only with secretly and remotely-readable uniquely-numbered radio tracking beacons in the form of RFID transponder chips), or unless the Department of Homeland Security chooses to to exercise its standardless “discretion” to decide — in secret, with no way for us to know who is making the decision or on what basis — to issue a (one-time case-by-case) “waiver” of the new travel document requirements.
If you’re in the USA without such documents — even if you were born here, or are a foreigner who entered the USA legally without such documents (a Canadian, for example, who entered the USA by land yesterday when no such documents were yet required), or your document(s) have expired or have been lost or stolen — you are forbidden to leave the country unless and until you procure such a document, or unless and until the DHS gives you an exit permit in the form of a discretionary one-time waiver to leave the country — but not necessarily to come home, unless they again exercise their discretion to “grant” you another waiver.
If you are a U.S. citizen abroad without such a document (for example, if you entered Canada legally without it yesterday by land, when it wasn’t required, or again if your document(s) are expired, lost, or stolen) you are forbidden to come home unless and until you can procure a new document acceptable to the DHS, or unless and until the DHS gives you permission to come home in the form of a discretionary one-time waiver.
The DHS admits, at the top of its GetYouHome.gov propapganda website, that it might take “several weeks” to obtain such a document if you don’t have one already or if it expires or is lost or stolen. A temporary paper drivers license without a photo, or even a standard photo licnese or state ID, won’t suffice — only an extra-fee EDL with an RFID chip, which also takes several weeks to obtain in those few states that issue them at all. Backlogs for even “rush” passport issuance can be even longer, as we pointed out in our comments to the DHS. It doesn’t matter if your next-of-kin is dying in Canada or Mexico. (Suppose a relative gets sick or injured, and needs you there to make medical decisons or escort them home, but you were’t going on the trip with them, and don’t have a passport.) You can’t go unless the U.S. government approves your papers or approves a standardless discretionary “waiver” for you to leave the U.S. — which won’t guarantee that they’ll let you come back.
This is the final stage, effective June 1, 2009, of implementation of the so-called “Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative” (WHTI).
You don’t need us to tell you what’s wrong with this picture. But if you want it spelled out, you can read the comments here and here that we submitted to the DHS when they proposed the WHTI regulations imposing these ID and exit and entry permit requirments, first for airports and seaports and then for land border crossings.

We shouldn’t have needed to point out to the DHS that the WHTI travel document requirements are in flagrant violation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), one of the most important human rights treaties which the U.S. has signed and ratified. Article 12 of the ICCPR guarantees that, “Everyone shall be free to leave any country, including his own,” and “No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of the right to enter his own country.”
This article of the ICCPR has been interpreted by the U.N. Human Rights Committee (and by the U.S. when it has criticized other countries such as Cuba for their exit restrictions on their citizens) as making those rights near-absolute. The WHTI document rules are also in violation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the NAFTA Implemdentation Act, by imposing a barrier to Canadians and Mexicans wishing to come to the U.S. to compete for business — the requirement for a passport or enhanced drivers license (EDL) — that doesn’t apply to U.S. citizens doing business within the U.S.
And that’s not to mention the incompatibility with the U.S. Constitution of these restrictions on travel, movement, and assembly.
DHS APIS regulations already require airlines to obtain individualized prior permission from the DHS before they allow anyone (even a U.S. citizen) to enter, leave or transit the U.S. by air, and the the Secure Flight scheme will require the same for domestic flights as soon as the travel industry can build the elaborate and expensive infrastructure needed for such a real-time travel surveillance and control program. Meanwhile, the DHS is exapnding their assertion of similar and increasingly intrusive powers of search, seizure, interrogation, and above all surveillance (monitoring and logging) and control of travel and movement within the U.S. through warrantless, suspicionless checkpoints on roads that don’t cross any border and are up to 100 miles from coasts or borders, and at airports for passengers on domestic flights.
Previous court decisions upholding government discretion in whether or not to issue passoports has been premised on the assumption that passports were useful to facitlitate travel, but were not required for travel or for the exercise of any other rights. Those decisions will, obviously, need to be revisited in light of the fact that government-issued documents are now explicitly required as a condition of the exercise of those aspects of the right to travel — the right of anyone to leave the U.S., and the right of U.S. citizens to return to our own country — that are most explicitly guaranteed by international treaties to which the U.S. is a part, and which under the U.S. Constitution are “the supreme law of the land”. The DHS is cleverly saying that at first they will only issue warnings and waivers, in most cases, to U.S. citizens seeking to enter or leave the U.S. without the newly-required travel documents. Presumably, they hope that the new ID and permission-based travel control regime will become a well-established fait accompli before anyone is able to bring a court challenge of a DHS decision to bar someone from leaving the U.S., or barring a U.S. citizen from entering the country.

The point of the chip would be to contain limited code that identifies who you are. The code would be read by a reciever when you make transactions or travel and would be tied to a database. The idea is to replace all other forms of identification and purchasing power with a chip. There may be some other uses as well, such as healthcare information. But the chip would have to be permanently implanted, and removable for replacement. RFID transmitters on this scale transmit very weak signals. Receivers need to be in close proximity to read the information on the chip. The chip also has a “battery life”. It needs to be replaced or recharged periodically. The information that can be stored on the chip is thereby limited. Almost all of your information is stored in a database. The chip only holds enough information to identify you. A major concern with such a chip is identity theft; but they probably have this worked out.
So you see, a mass distribution of chips will only work if your chip is later personalized to identify you. Most chips that I know of are coded with UV light, but there is probably a way to do it even after it has been implanted.

Wrong on several points. The chips that are implanted have no batteries. They receive their power through inductance from the transmitter/receiver unit (external). The chips can be read from ~ 1 Meter distance.
The chips which are implanted must be voluntary. It will come to the point that one will take the mark or lose their head, that will be the CHOICE. So, it is doubtful they are having us ingest them without our knowledge. Tracking today can take place via mobile phone, satellite radio (xm/sirius), gps in our cars, chips in money, chips in credit cards, etc etc. No need to waste microtracking technology (if it does exist) on such a grand scale. The adversary would not get the glory unless we chose to worship him and take his mark/name in our forehead or right hand. This is what he wants, although some currently ignorantly worship him, he wants chosen and intended worship.

US car companies are outlets for the oil companies. Why do you think fossil fuels used for transport haven’t been replaced with alternatives? Because they work with the car companies and the government to ensure our dependency. Many alternative fuels, like solar or biofuels, can easily be made or obtained for free of charge/close to nothing in costs. Look, a few years ago the oil companies lobbied HARD and put out propaganda saying solar power could never meet the needs of the consumers. Look, no one is keeping US Citizens out of the country, or from leaving. They will just detain you a few hours with a delay until they can find info proving you are a U.S. Citizen. It is a delay, and it will annoy you, and you might have to give addresses, SSN, DOB, etc, but you will be allowed to enter with essentially just your license. What happens a year from now… I don’t know yet. Wait on Congress or DHS to enact some law forcing anyone not complying into jail or fines or some crap like that. For now though, expect only an extended delay.

Now the Constitution will be stripped down, or done away with altogether. I think that the NAU will be created at the end of O’s term, and that by December 12th 2012 that too will fail. So on December 12th 2012 at noon while we all are sitting down and eating lunch the NWO will be created.

For those who have never been in a war yet, don’t worry, like I said
in my previous post, lead flys in both directions. Also, the bridges and
railroads, and power lines are the most vulnerable. The military has
to use those supply lines, just like everyone else does. 300 Million to 1 -

I just heard Ron Paul on Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano, bring up a very good point, though we do need to be extremely vigilant, when it comes to defending our Country & Liberties, we need to have our States backing us! We need as many of our Representatives as we can get, pushing for our (The Peoples) cause, not only in Washington, but in the Communities as well! All this Police brutality that we are seeing, every single day here lately, needs to be met by Legislators who will not tolerate Citizens being treated like animals! A simple but temporary solution to this bogus RF tracking technology is….you can fry them in the microwave; that may permanently fry the electronics….another approach is to wrap / fold a piece of aluminum/copper screen around the ID card which effectively grounds / shorts out the RF energy. The card will not be able to receive or transmit its information about you. The underground reverse-engineering of these cards will be enormous…you’ve heard how easy paper Visas and Driver Licences were to get…..this will be like burning a DVD or PROM chip for crying out loud…..a hacker’s paradise. I don’t think it will last nor will the people put up with it.

Honestly, I’m scared. I don’t know about everyone else, but sometimes this all makes me feel like I’m going to have a breakdown. Sometimes I feel lightheaded just coming to this website it scares me so bad. For the past two days I have had crying spells just from reading some of this stuff. I know that it’s here and more is coming, but I’m flat broke – currently have no way to get a job (long story, don’t ask) – and when I’m finally able to, I’m scared that by then the government will force RFID chips into my process of getting a job.
I know the crying thing is chicken-shit, but can you blame me?

Sounds to me like the US Govt. just wants to use this whole shebang as an excuse to sell everyone a passport at $50 a pop. Not bad when you consider the population of the USA who would actually buy one! It’s all about money and profits. Guess that Coingress thought this would be a quick way to make a gadzillion dollars on fees and printing. Your papers please? I just hope that we hurry up and upgrade from the passport cards to chips in our brains. That would be way more efficient. I’ll have my frequent flier chip installed right next to it.
Here’s what I find perplexing… The same government that’s deciding this nonsense is making us pay to make them, issue them, sign up for them and renew them (on top of taking half our money right out of our paychecks and not giving us health care) actually built a fence between us and Mexico. A fence. Maybe we could invest billions of dollars in a giant force field study that NASA could conduct while we build kick ass tree forts serving as lookouts in the meantime. Then once we’ve fortified our borders with steel fences and ‘beware of dog’ signs, we’ll just activate the force field and sit tight. Because we’ll never be able to come back or get out. Ever.
I don’t like to legitimize silly posts by responding to them at all, but I think we should all take a second to commend ‘You are all crazy” for avoiding the conjunction in his user name. That would’ve made for a lot of hot hair AND poor grammar in one power-packed, less than inspired, close-minded post. I for one support his use of two words in forming a user name.

My understanding is that the special version of the drivers license that states you’re okay to go is part of the”trusted traveller ” program. Well if they trust you, why would you need a special card? Also does this mean they dont trust us without it? Now that you have a trusted traveller card, does that mean you dont have to be screened by arrogant power tripping hall monitors at the airport?

Wondering what the problem is here,
We say we want the Boarders secure to prevent the influx of illegal aliens how do we do that without documentation?
I am opposed to having “check points” within the nations boundaries,(ala state to state, town to town etc) but I do however think they should exist at the National borders.

What do you have, when freedom is all you’ve got?
After being locked up and paying your debt to society, have you been able to resume your life like other citizens who have not been incarcerated? Your handle tells me that work is something that’s been hard for you to find. I don’t know you personally, but my guess is that having that conviction on your record makes it next to impossible to find any work, let alone a job that pays a wage that allows an individual to support himself.
Why is this important? Well, because it shows that you don’t need to throw a person in prison to hold them prisoner. Having a felonious past, poor credit, having been in a car accident or even to many parking tickets can all keep you from obtaining a well-paying job, an apartment and/or car loan. The information that is being made available to the public and private sectors means there is virtually no chance that you will be able to ever become self-sufficient. Why? In large part due to the laws that are being passed by our legislators.
I’m sure that being in a literal prison is very difficult – both mentally and emotionally. However, your debt to society can never be repaid in full because of the stigma the ‘felon’ label comes with.
Let me know when you are able to secure a job with your background being made know to your employer. After you’ve been job hunting for 5-6 years, then tell me if you need to be in prison to be a prisoner.

I think I may have figured something out… My money has been on this theory ever since the announcement that the government was requiring all TV stations to go digital. And here’s the theory…they need those radio waves freed up for microchip tracking devices. Think about it…………………
The REAL ID Act of 2005 had a compliance deadline of May 11, 2008. As of April 2, 2008, all 50 states have either applied for extensions or received unrequested extensions. Why the delay and voluntarily given extensions? Because TV stations had not yet gone digital. They still haven’t due to more delays and extensions. Compliance is now scheduled for December 2009. And now, as of June 1st, 2009, these new microchip’d passport and electronic drivers license cards are going into effect as required documents for U.S. citizens to carry. It will take awhile for everyone to obtain these new travel documents so the need for the entire radio air space isn’t in immediate demand and allows for gradual implementation. Everyone really needs to check out the following link to see how you are affected, and how your birth date is affected.

We have noticed that over the past year, some sort of odd looking devices started appearing at overpasses here in Florida, specifically on the Greeneway (417) toll road. They especially noticeable around the Disney area in Osceola County. What are these devices? Are they for tracking microchips, verichips, Real ID?!

Well…Hearing a number of people talking about passports, or new documents having gps inside. Do you really think their going to say something if you visited the red light district? I am sure they are just little things that detect if you are visiting or in a “Terrorist colony.” A flag goes up, and they “track” you from there on. They mostly track people that go to Afghanistan, or Korea.
Remember a war is going on, and I’m sure politicians think that that is more than enough justification to do so….or listen in on cell phone calls with “key words.”
Drivers licenses have chips in them too, don’t forget. New ones with those little lines that are also there to prevent forgery. We gott’em in Ny.
Owell…When me and my fiance save enough money we hope to not only visit, but live in England. Let it sleep. Sure it’s a big deal about this new thing going on, but people will still travel, get these new documents that invade their privacy and continue on with their daily lives.

To be honest with you L, I would not have the faintest idea. Anyone who says that they are such, don’t know a damn thing. They could contain anything mr. obama wants them to contain. I, personally though, call them chips. I heard about those devices on the highways. They scan every license plate to see if the cars are stolen or have a history, and to detect speed. This is what I heard though.
This is a nation full of greed and technology. I wonder if people of the 80’s saw this comming? Because it does seem so obvious with the technology that this country would do such a thing in this time….and much more.
Only thing I care about is making the money to put food on the table and the bills behind me. We’re all fucked and imprisoned.
