With 100 percent of newly elected GOP Senators promising a repeal of Obamacare, the controversial healthcare law has yet again taken center stage.
Despite desperate attempts to paint Obamacare in a positive light by political elites and a monopoly of insurance providers, President Obama’s countless lies have only served to weaken the Democratic party’s plans to implement a state-run healthcare system.
Here are three of Obama’s biggest lies on the “Affordable” Healthcare Act:
“If You Like the Plan You Have, You Can Keep It.”
At the beginning of 2014, more than 4.7 million Americans instantly lost their health insurance due to Obamacare.
As the year rolled on, more Americans received cancellation notices in the mail, with an NBC affiliate reporting almost 250,000 healthcare plan losses in the state of Virgina alone.
Unsurprisingly, President Obama “modified” his promise shortly after the healthcare law was implemented.
“What we said was you could keep it if it hasn’t changed since the laws passed,” Obama said.
Insurance Coverage Will Cost Less Than Your “Cell Phone Bill”
According to a report from HealthPocket, health insurance premiums in the 23-year-old demographic jumped by more than 78 percent for men and nearly 45 percent for women.
A separate report from Forbes revealed that the average monthly cost under Obamacare’s Silver plan was more than $328, a far cry from the cell phone bill claim.
Once again, the administration gave red-tape style explanations for the massively increased prices.
“No Family Making Less Than $250,000 a Year Will See Any Form Of Tax increase.”
More than 20 new or higher taxes on American families are directly linked to Obamacare.
A list of these taxes reveals more several hundred billion in tax hikes over the next ten years.
Since the Affordable Health Care act was ruled constitutional due to the fact that it is a tax itself, many Americans are no longer surprised that they have been hit in the pocketbook over Obamacare.
Unfortunately, these lies are only a handful in the sea of deception that is the Obama administrations healthcare takeover.
