Top White House Official Says Obama Team ‘Controlled’ Media Coverage During Campaign

The Obama campaign’s press strategy leading up to his election last November focused on “making” the media cover what the campaign wanted and on exercising absolute “control” over coverage, White House Communications Director Anita Dunn told an overseas crowd early this year.

In a video of the event, Dunn is seen describing in detail the media strategy used by then-Sen. Barack Obama’s highly disciplined presidential campaign. The video is footage from a Jan. 12 forum hosted by the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development in the Dominican Republic.
“Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn’t absolutely control,” Dunn said, admitting that the strategy “did not always make us popular in the press.”

Violating the Constitution is like breathing to this Administration! Obama is a 12 Constitutional Scholar, he knows about Freedom of Press, I’m sure? I’m also sure he’s aware of all the other Illegal activities he & his cabinet have committed? So why then, with mountains of ironclad evidence of his violations & illegal activities, is he still being allowed to run our Nation into the dirt, with little to no resistance from our Law Makers? I go to the fridge and my groceries are disappearing more than I get my hands on them. Most of the times when we go grocery shopping we buy what we really need, but if it does not fit the damn bill then we have to leave it behind. Like for example I wanted to buy lettuce, but I did not have enough dough to get it home. Obama is just changing our lives to make us miserable not changing what Bush messed up. This reality is getting worse and too stressful. I bet alot of people are locked up away in the mental institution cause they are so depressed and poor as dirt.

I just watched that entire video and the spin that Fox news is putting on it is kind of lame. They were controlling what their campaign team said to the media, not controlling the media itself. They were also restricting Obama’s public appearance to live video so that they couldn’t edit pieces and take things out of context turning a 2 minute speech or discussion into a 12 second sound bit. That’s not controlling the media at all, that’s simply good tactics on their part to keep things from being spun. They may have used the media as pawns to divert people to their websites rather than the news for getting information about the party; however it was the lack of desire on the part of MSM to actually investigate and dig into the candidate. They were in a trance and too stupid to do their jobs. However, that doesn’t mean that Obama’s team controlled the media.
