Many feel that they are risking their lives — and that colleagues have died — for a futile mission and an Afghan population that does nothing to help them, the chaplains told The Times in their makeshift chapel on this fortress-like base in a dusty, brown valley southwest of Kabul.
“The many soldiers who come to see us have a sense of futility and anger about being here. They are really in a state of depression and despair and just want to get back to their families,” said Captain Jeff Masengale, of the 10th Mountain Division’s 2-87 Infantry Battalion.

Patriotism is evil? That sounds like something out of a FEMA Counterterrorism Class. Patriotism gave birth to the United States. Opposition to evil gave birth to the United States. Thanks to patriotism, you have a legal right to say whatever you want, do whatever you want, and worship however you want, as long as what you do does not infringe on the liberties of others.

i signed up. yes. i volunteered. but this doesn’t mean that i should charge the federal reserves and shoot everyone there. things like this, like, fighting obama or bush or fighting against whatever they have done to diminish our constitution. these institutions won’t look at it like if im doing something good for the republic,…they will look at me and send me to leavenworth, ks!!! some stuff here, is way over the troops heads to do something! i know for a fact, i want my wife to be ok, and our son to be ok…so if the orders are to maintain calm..that is what i do….if they tell me, to maintain calm in a crowd, and to shoot anyone who does whatever….I WON’T….i won’t shoot our own people…maybe evil people will or evil cops…but not me…..i will tell u this….when the time comes, im going to protect my family, whether is against a mass of people or a USA institution, whether is public, or private, govt or whatever..no one will harm my fam, and at the same time…im gonna keep my job as a soldier, but if the govt. wants me to shoot folks who are screaming that 9/11 was an inside job, then…let them! we still have freedom right? something im sure i put some cents in…..we troops, we not completly dumb, we are stubborn…but not dumb.
many troops just need to be awaked, to be showed what is infowars.com and have them watch terrorstrorm. that’s it. then after that is up to them to make the change that they want to see.

It was for extracting resources and each fought amongst themselves as well as Native populations. so. I made a decision and pledged to myself that if I was ever ordered to fire on American citizens that my commanding officer would be the first to die, that was 30 years ago. Alot
of things have changed since then, look at the aftermath of katrina, LRAD being used on
American citizens, checkpoints, etc. They have stripped the U.S. soldier of his best weapon,
His ability to think for himself and to counter orders that are immoral or unconstitutional.

I believe most of our soldiers go into the military to better themselves and their families. With the G.I. Bill, etc. Do they know they will go overseas and fight? yes. They take that risk to support their families and gain some valuable experience. No, I dont mean killing. I mean computers, driving heavy trucks, maintenance of vehicles and equipment, and teamwork. I’m not a spokesperson for the military, I just believe that a majority want in and then out. I’m sure alot kick themselves in the ass after they realize what they will be going through. Others become numb, mindless zombies. Thats exactly what our government wants, young mindless zombies. I say “Every soldier in the armed services safely stand down and stop fighting! Tell your commanding officers you are not fighting an endless pointless war anymore! there are more of you than there are commanders in the field. if thousands of you refuse to follow orders and fight, they will have no choice but to end the war. You, the soldier are the backbone to their war machine! Tell them enough is enough and you’re going home!”

Red dawn, I am a wife of a army Ranger, the families are not treated badly at all, infact we have special networks within the military to provide support for any and all possible problems that a family can encounter while their soldier is deployed. My husband as well as every other wife’s husbands I know were able to call back home very often and if the lines for the phones were long they could get on the internet and chat and talk via web cam. MY husband was on the front lines being infantry thats were he always goes…to the furtherest crappiest outpost or FOB…..so your spreading a bunch of bull shit and I would apprecitate it if you would not spread such lies.

I am in the military and I know that this is wrong. I try to tell my buddies all the time and for the most part they are with me. Once you are in the military you have pretty much just signed your life away. We have to follow the UCMJ which dose hinder our reasoning with constitutional law. I know we took an oath to defend the constitution but very little, if any, have reviewed it. Usually by the time a service member leaves the military is when they realize what they should have done. The problem is that their is a lack of the constitution being taught at schools. If we all knew what it states in writing then there would be more protection of liberties and rights.

Kerry, you are so right – EXACTLY RIGHT – the Iraq and Afghanistan wars are “a business for those making the decisions”. I couldn’t have painted a better picture myself. It’s all about getting an oil pipeline through Afghanistan and Iraq is just basically about taking over the country lock, stock and barrel. The soldiers who die are seen by their ‘leaders’ as an expense on an operating statement representing operating assets that have been written off.

the troops know whats going on but the ones who do think for themselves are the silent few they will obey orders or fall prey to the ucmj , i was prior army and you have no idea on how much they can ruin your life if you disobey, for example i was late getting to PT one morning and couldnt find a parking spot ” i lived off post ” so the only spot i could find open was the captains parking spot, so i parked. when i came back from our run i found MP’S getting ready to tow my truck. anyway to get to the point i had to gaurd the parking spot for 2 days in full battle gear and write down the license plate of anyone who tried to park in any reserved parking spot and report them. All that just for parking in the wrong spot so just imagine on how they can single someone out for not following orders when under full alert. so if the military is ever told to control the civilians you can bet your ass they will follow orders. of course there will be some who wont but it wont be enough to make a difference

Other orders come from your US constitution. Why don’t they obey THESE orders? Your captain gave you orders for his personal whims, in this parking lot matter; they were illegal. There was a documentary on the History channel earlier this year (I do take anything presented in the mainstream media with a huge grain of salt). It talked about how street gangs have infiltrated the armed forces. I don’t know if anything has been done about this, but it seems to me that this could be advantageous for the elites.
These bottom of the barrel recruits will kill for the fun of it. Also, when they come back to the hood, they will teach their homies advanced killing techniques. IMO, gang bangers will serve the NWO by creating terror on the streets when the shit finally hits the fan. People will be begging for martial law. I’m sure many gang bangers will be blown away by the military, although some may be used as NWO brown-shirt type thugs. Any gang bangers assimilated into the military will gladly rape and pillage.

Has it been so long that Americans can’t remember Vietnam? We are a country of either amnesiacs or fools, and I feel pretty sure we can rule out mass amnesia, so that leaves us with fools. We are not fighting a war against terror we ARE terror– we are fighting a war with terror. Our government is fighting a war of terror against the world and its’ own citizens. The world elite are playing us like a fiddle and the public is too ignorant or too brain addled to ask the right questions. All the answers they hear on the six o’clock mass delusion infusion, are to questions that no one asked, but were given to them by the people who are supposed to provide the answers, or so they are told. My problem with people who still join the military at this stage of the decline of our country are too stupid for me to trust, sorry but that’s the truth. The troops are being abused for the sake of the Rothschides , the Rockefellers, the house of Saud, the queen “Mum-my”, etc., not freedom, not America, and surely not the American people.

Well said. I don’t think all U.S. troops are completely stupid or evil, but most are brainwashed sheeple like the rest of the sheeple. With the exception of a few who genuinely get their rocks off by blowing people away, most are simply ignorant of reality.
Of course, alot of soldiers are poor kids from the ghetto who see the military as a way to obtain an education, job and future. But yes, most are totally clueless. Apparently though, some are starting to wake up, which is why anyone who personally knows someone in the military or police force needs to tell them about Oathkeepers. org, this website, etc and educate them. IMO, I think the majority of soldiers will just obey their orders if ordered to disarm us, quarantine us, shoot us, etc. I hope I’m wrong.

I have to agree with you. I know of several people who are enlisting in the military, mostly because there are really no other jobs to be had. Do not blame those who are following orders, for as far as they know, what they’re doing is right. Just as it is said not to blame the child for the upbringing, or the animal for the way it was trained, do not blame our troops.

Little do this soldiers know that this illegal occupation of Afghanistan is about the geopolitical positing of U.S./N.A.T.O. forces to contain Russia and China, running the illegal $500 billion drug trade by the C.I.A./ M.I.6, as well as controling access to the huge petroleum and natural gas resevres in the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf. What pisses me off is that the military generals swore to protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic. Seems like These Generals are more concern about their position and paycheck then they are about their troops. On another note. When I was in the military, and Clinton was in office, we was told not to discuss our views on him. Seems it is the same with this current administration. Use to be that you can give your personal view on any political figure. On another note: Military personnel both officers and enlisted are told they can refuse a “unlawful” order. I hope when the shits hit the fan here at home, the military members remember what they are supposed to protect.

If infowars would coordinate a care package campaign for the soldiers, we could help them and enlighten them at the same time. I’d certainly be willing to donate. The Afghan police in those days would invite me over to smoke in their hookah and take pictures. That’s the only way you can go to aFghanistan, with love and no evil intent or the ten year old boys will knife your ass! I believe its just the right troops need to be educated. Educate the ones who are highly motivated achievers and then they will lead the rest of them. Educating followers is good but generally they will go along with the current program even if they are opposed to it.
